do not always see eye to eye when it comes to design.

I know you guys have $55,000 to spend.

One option would be closing off this window,

We create a wet room, which would be a freestanding tub

and a large bench and a bunch of sprayers

and this really amazing feature

that you could have that would feel a lot like a spa.

We would shift the vanity over into the water closet,

move the toilet into where the shower is now.

That sounds incredible.

But at that option we would not have any leftover budget

for the master bedroom. - So nothing.

Okay, so here's option two.

We add a freestanding tub here. We have a double vanity still.

We cut in about a foot into the current water closet.

That way we can have a bigger shower

that also has a bench for you, Cara,

and you will still have a private toilet area.

With that budget you would be able to redo

the master bedroom as well. - That's what I'm going for.

I don't know why you're not thinking about the bedroom.

I really like option one.

We don't really need that much done in the bedroom.

Imagine if you walked in here and it was an amazing wet room.

And then you use it once a week.

and I think that's what we were going for.

It's definitely a bit nerve-racking

and I definitely want both of them to love the space.

I think it still has the traditional elements

but I also think that we're adding a little bit of flare

with this type of tile versus a simple subway.

Remember when we moved into our house

The advantage of going shopping

is there are so many materials out there,

things that you would never think of.

It's like shopping for a wedding dress.

You think you're gonna like one

and then you try it on and it looks awful

and then there's 10 other ones that look better.

It's the same thing for materials.

You could think your heart's set on one,

but then you get to the store and there are so many options

that you decide to go in a totally different direction.

So these are a bit softer.

First, flooring.

So what I was thinking is because that flooring

looks so beautiful in the bathroom

we run the flooring in the bedroom as well.

I was hoping to have carpet in here.

To keep it a little bit-- I don't know bedrooms to me

feel like carpet goes a little bit better.

I mean, I haven't done carpet in so long.

What are your thoughts?

I mean, it's weird because I kind of like carpet

in the bedroom, too. - Okay.

I think I've seen too many disgusting carpets

on "Flip or Flop" I'm just so turned off by carpet.

I feel like it just absorbs everything.

I mean, have you ever removed carpet from somewhere?

Like, it's not a pretty sight.

Visually, I think that the look of the vinyl

flowing in the bedroom will look so pretty.

And I think we could run it in a way that's visually appealing.

Like, we run it from the door into the bedroom

so it's kind of at an angle. - Uh-huh.

That would give it, like, kind of a fresh look.

And plus, I just think the flow going from the bathroom

to the bedroom will just make the room feel so cohesive

and, like, just one big space as opposed to separate.

And we could do a lot of layered rugs.

So when you get off the bed your feet

aren't gonna hit the vinyl.

They'll still hit plush. - Still on carpet.

My favorite piece in the house is the rug in the laundry room

that I trip over every time I go through.

So if you could get one like right here

does not fit, it leave a gap.
