Great!

Let's fight and see who wins!

You want to defeat us with force?

Haven't you heard that evil will never prevail?

We have thousands of heroes here.

Are we scared of the Five Lakes Alliance?

My son was cruelly killed by the Ghost Valley.

What's the point of living any longer?

Gao Chong! You're a ruthless and sinister monster!

I'm going to kill you!

FIVE LAKES WORLD ALLIANCE

-Deng Kuan! -Deng Kuan!

Master, are we really not going to stop this?

Master, this matter is highly suspicious.

I think that Chief Gao is being framed.

Father isn't here either.

Shouldn't we…

Go!

Let's go.

Master!

Isn't Gao Chong a close friend of the Gentle Wind Sword Sect?

Who knew

that they would be the first ones to run away?

Why is Gao Chong still not fighting back?

Why are you

still pretending?

No, I can't be wrong.

Gao Chong definitely has tricks up his sleeve.

Everyone, attack!

Let's avenge our master! Kill!

-Let's kill! -Let's kill!

Master!

Come with me.

Let him go!

Everyone, stop fighting!

Stop, everyone!

Stop!

Gao Chong.

Please stop.

We lost.

I'm begging you.

Please give them the Glazed Armor!

Zhao Jing!

What are you saying?

Shen Shen!

Do you still not understand?

Are you helping him?

You're going to get him killed!

Gao Chong!

You did too much evil and brought on your own demise.

The Five Lakes Alliance's reputation

is ruined because of you!

Do you still want this many people to die

because of your crimes?

Give us the Glazed Armor!

-Yes, give us the Glazed Armor! -Give us the Glazed Armor!

-Everyone, shut up! -Give us the Glazed Armor!

What right does a bastard like you have to question Gao Chong?

The evidence is clear.

Who here doesn't have the right to question his crimes?

Elder Huang.

The Beggar Gangs have always kept their promises.

I hope that you can bear witness today.

As long as Gao Chong hands over the Glazed Armor,

you must let him live.

I'm willing to give up all my wealth,

become a monk with him,

and never be involved in matters of the martial arts world again.

Elder Huang.

I'm begging you!

Zhao Jing!

Don't kneel to such a conniving man!

Get up!

Gao Chong.

The Five Lakes Monument has fallen.

The Five Lakes Alliance is about to break.

Please wake up!

THE FORMER LEADERS OF YUEYANG SECT

Think about Xiaolian.

Do you want her to live while shouldering our crimes?

Zhao Jing.

Get up.

I will listen to you.

The Glazed Armor…

I will give it to them!

Gao Chong, you can't!

Shen Shen.

Please take care of my daughter.

Let her…

Let her live a normal life.

Gao Chong.

You can't do that!

Shen Shen!

You bastards!

You used these despicable methods

just to force me to hand over the Glazed Armor.

Isn't that right?

-Really? -This…

I was framed by a scoundrel and have no way to defend myself.

Today, I'll break my ties with the Five Lakes Alliance

to prove my innocence.

The Glazed Armor has threatened the martial arts world.

In order to prevent future danger,

I will…

destroy it today!

Don't!

-No! -No!

Master.

Are you sure we're not going to the Heroes Conference

and we're going home instead?

The heroes from around the world are gathering at the conference today.

This is a great opportunity to make a name for ourselves.

How could we miss such an exciting event?

Besides,

you and Chief Gao are close.

Shouldn't we…

Shut up.

I told you that we're going back.

MO HUAIYANG LEADER OF THE GENTLE WIND SWORD SECT

Chengling,

you should eat first.

Thank you, Master.

By the way, Master,

where's Mr. Wen?

You should eat first.

He's outside.

I'm going to look for him.

Zhou Xu.

I'm an evil person, right?

If your heart is kind,

you are not evil.

Are you the only one allowed to trick others?

How embarrassing to be moody like this

just because someone else

tricked you for once.

You're worse than my disciple.

I made a big mistake this time.

I went to gloat at someone else's actions,

but I didn't expect

that I'd be one of the actors myself.

Do you think

I was too smart for my own good?

You really know how to compliment yourself.

You were too dumb for your own good.

Master Zhou, you're smart.

Do you understand what happened?

The scheme progressed perfectly.

There must be someone controlling from behind.

Maybe even more than one.

I can't tell right now

what this person's end goal is.

Is it not for the Glazed Armor?

Not just that.

No matter what,

Gao Chong's reputation is ruined

and the Five Lakes Alliance is over.

Not necessarily.

Compared to Gao Chong,

Zhao Jing took a step back at the most important moment.

He pretended he was weak

and moved the blame from himself completely.

I remember in the Window of Heaven's records,

he had another nickname besides Sai Mengchang.

It was Zhao Xuande.

I didn't think much of it at the time,

but looking back,

his acts of crying and speech of morality

to win everyone over

were truly spectacular.

"Zhao Xuande"?

Who gave him that nickname?

What a bad person.

Almost as bad as you.

I'm a bad person?

Philanthropist Wen.

I've always been nice to you.

Really?

Why didn't I know that?

The truth is hard to find and a scheme is hard to plan.

No matter how hard a person tries

to balance each step,

they can't outsmart heaven.

Breaking a carefully planned scheme

is very easy.

It might be because of one person's betrayal

or unexpected rain.

No matter how deep the scheme is,

there will be a day when the truth is revealed.

As long as you're patient when peeling the layers,

you will definitely

find the missing key.

That means a perfect scheme

changes and adapts to the situation.

What the person in control needs to do

is clearly assess the situation,

and push things along at the right moment.

It's hard to read someone's heart,

but it's easy to control human nature.

Endless greed

is human nature.

This is an unarguable truth.

Wen Kexing.

Don't keep thinking that you understand human nature.

First, it was the matter of the Four Sages of Anji and now Gao Chong.

Have you not made enough mistakes?

Being mistakenly stubborn will only harm yourself.

Human nature is greedy,

but humans can also be righteous and loyal.

What do you actually want?

If I tell you,

will you help me?

I can only help you

if you tell me.

I want…

I want the demons and monsters that don't belong to this world

to all scram back to hell!

With Gao Chong's martial art skills,

he definitely could have escaped and found a way out.

But who knew that

he would break down and prove his innocence with death

after the Five Lakes Monument fell.

If you're no longer alive,

then haven't you lost everything?

Father, you really anticipated everything and read him accurately.

A strong person is easily broken, an innocent person is easily tainted.

Gao Chong's baggage

burdened him for too many years.

I've also played this game with him for 20 years.

There was only one straw left that broke the camel's back.

And now,

I've accomplished everything I need to.

It's just a pity

that it didn't go perfectly.

What didn't go perfectly?

I thought I'd accounted for everything,

but I didn't expect

Elder Huang to fool me

and have Tao Hong and Lu Liu kidnap Gao Xiaolian.

I've already sent people to go after them.

Father.

Should we kill Gao Xiaolian?

Of course not.

I want her to live

and live well.

She is my living mascot.

The better she lives,

the more righteous and loyal I seem.

All right, I will listen to you.

You did very well this time.

If you didn't use sorcery

to completely muddle Deng Kuan,

it wouldn't have been so easy to defeat Gao Chong.

But his disciples

are truly loyal.

Especially that Song Huairen.

I treated him so well,

but I didn't expect him to be a double agent.

I told you before

that he wasn't a good person.

Father, you didn't believe me.

You even took him as your godchild.

You also argued and got mad at me over that.

How about it? Do you see it now?

Wasn't I right?

JINGRUI PALACE

It's you, Scorpion King? You scared me.

-Did Father tell you to come? -Yes.

Give me the Glazed Armor.

Wait.

Do you have Father's verbal order or a token?

I've already come in person.

What token do you need?

This is very important and we can't make mistakes.

Father only told me to steal this tonight.

He never told me

to give it to you.

What did you say?

Without the token,

I won't give this to you.

We are both Father's trusted assistants.

Only…

Never mind. You can go.

Only one of us

can live.

How can I let someone

ruin my plans?

I can achieve the goals

on my own.

Wasn't I right?

Good thing I killed Song Huairen.

Otherwise, Father,

your Glazed Armor and your plans would have all been destroyed.

All right, I was wrong.

Xie'er, I'm sorry.

From now on,

you are my only son.

Where is the Glazed Armor?

You entrusted it to me.

So I always keep it with me.

Xie'er.

My life and all that I have are in your hands.

You are the only person I trust

in this world.

There is one more thing I need you to do.

Father, please tell me.

We still need to comfort that idiot, Mu Siyuan.

We may need to use him later.

That idiot Mu Siyuan

is bad at martial arts, dumb like a cow,

and ugly.

Why do you keep him around?

Xie'er.

Imagine a sheep herd.

A herd of sheep

will naturally and stupidly crowd together.

If one sheep leads the way,

the rest of the herd will follow,

even if it's going into the wolves' den.

The Five Lakes Alliance is that herd of sheep.

And Mu Siyuan

is the chosen leader of that herd.

I never think as far ahead as you.

Anyway,

I will always listen to you from now on.

As long as we work together,

the martial arts world

and the rest of the world

will be ours sooner or later.

Qin Huaizhang's disciple.

I didn't expect that for someone with bad martial skills, you could run so quickly.

-It took me a long time to find you. -Master Ye, we meet again.

What do you mean "again"?

I've been following you.

But this person was such a nuisance.

He held me up, so I lost you.

Master.

Chengling.

This is Ye Baiyi. Master Ye.

Master Ye. This is my disciple, Chengling.

He seems dumb.

Each generation is worse than before.

No matter how dumb my child is,

he's still better than those old monsters who can't speak properly.

Your child?

What? Are you also from the Four Seasons Manor?

Let me go!

-Who's in there? -Who do you want to be in there?

You.

It's definitely not who you're hoping for then.

All right.

You prettier-than-a-pretty-boy, old toad monster.

Who do you think you are, fighting against me?

-Let's fight outside. -Zhou Xu, don't stop me.

-Wait a minute. Let it go! -Let's go!

Let it go! Master Ye.

Look. It's raining outside.

Can you two pick a clearer day to fight?

Wen Kexing.

Let me go!

Let me go!

Little idiot.

Who did you think was in there?

I thought it was Xiaolian.

Chengling.

They need to use her to find the Glazed Armor.

As long as that holds true,

they won't harm her.

We have time to rescue her.

I almost forgot.

Zhou Xu still has a disciple-in-law lost out there.

Of course we need to rescue her.

Young Chief Long.

Huang He.

How did it go?

My goodness.

We went through all that trouble for nothing.

My goodness.

At least we still have the girl.

Let me think about whether we should use her to negotiate with Zhao Jing

or trick that idiot Shen Shen.

Who has the Glazed Armor?

No one.

No one?

Before that bastard died,

he said that he destroyed the Glazed Armor.

I don't believe that.

But he really didn't have it with him.

-How could it disappear? -This…

What did we do all this for?

Where is Gao Chong's corpse?

Did the Five Lakes Alliance take it back?

Corpse?

What corpse?

All those crazy dogs tore it apart.

But the Glazed Armor really wasn't there.

CHONGWU PALACE

CHONGWU PALACE

Shen Shen!

Shen Shen!

Shen Shen!

Shen Shen, where are you going?

Gao Chong had just died.

Are you going to leave this mess to me?

Why should I stay?

What dignity do I have left to stay?

If I didn't create trouble,

Gao Chong wouldn't have…

Shen Shen.

Among the five sworn brothers, we are the only ones left now.

If you leave,

then the Five Lakes Alliance is really over!

Xiaolian is still lost.

Before he died, Gao Chong told me

to bring Xiaolian back safely.

Everyone in the Five Lakes Alliance will look for her.

Yaozhi went looking for her as well.

Listen to me. Don't go.

The Five Lakes Alliance can't be without a leader.

Stay!

It's better

for me to leave.

If I can find Xiaolian,

I will bring her to the bamboo forest on Mount Dagu,

and never come back to this place of sorrow.

Zhao Jing.

The Five Lakes Alliance

rests upon your shoulders.

I'm useless.

I'm sorry.

Father.

You're just going to let him go?

The Glazed Armor…

Gao Chong was smart and conniving.

He anticipated a rebellion at the Heroes Conference

and was afraid that Shen Shen would die,

so he kept the Glazed Armor himself.

Who cares if that's true or not?

Let me chase him and kill him.

Absolutely not.

I need Shen Shen to stay alive.

If you act on your own,

don't blame me for being heartless.

Yes.

You need to understand my intentions.

I waited all my life

to finally be successful.

If I don't have an old friend as a witness,

then it would be as if I was hiding

in the dark all this time.

I can bear witness for you, Father.

You don't count.

We are family and we are one.

You are not an outsider.

Here.

Everyone on this list needs to be killed.

Use a cruel method

and don't leave anyone alive.

Xie'er, I want you to understand

that greed is not the only thing that controls the human heart.

What else then?

Father, please teach me.

It's fear.

Qin Huaizhang's disciple, do you have food?

Master Ye, I have a name.

I'll call you whatever I want.

Stop talking nonsense.

You're right, Master Ye.

I'm right? Where's the food?

What's this?

Is this for humans?

Chengling, does your family have a copy

of the Origin of Chinese Characters of the 40 Scroll?

I think so.

Then, was his face painted next to the idiom

"hated by immortals and devils"?

I heard earlier

that someone wanted to find the truth,

got tricked by others, and even helped them in their scheme.

Do you have no shame, yelling here right now?

Hey, boy.

In that dictionary collected by your family,

there must be his face painted next to "laughingstock," right?

Do you want to find the truth?

Do you think the truth itself

will just come to you?

Did you go find the truth?

Do you know where to find it? Can you even find it?

You…

Master Ye, please teach us.

Do you think Gao Chong

tried so hard to invite this boy

just so he could say a few words

at the Heroes Conference?

His father leads the Longyuan Cabinet.

They're basically a theater troupe.

But the title, "Leader of the Longyuan Cabinet"

is worth nothing now.

What use does he have?

Old Monster, stop with the suspense.

Why did you capture him?

Shut up, you little idiot.

He's the key.

"Key"?

Don't you want to know

what happened to Rong Xuan and the Glazed Armor 20 years ago?

Longyuan Cabinet is the key to the past.

Why would I

want to know about Rong Xuan and the Glazed Armor?

When you've reached my age,

you'll know why.

It's not always difficult to find out

what others want.
