What is that?

We call it the Builder.

It's huge, and it's moving. Is it a living creature?

What is that thing?

Stay strong! Fire! Fire!

What is that?

It's so big. Is that Valghia's weapon?

Could that be what Noze was talking about?

The monster...

There's no way we can stop that thing.

For now, let's get back to Father!

Right.

Right.

Kaina of the Great Snow Sea

The Builder

The Builder

Is it safe here?

What is that thing?

Will we be okay?

Unbelievable...

Even I fear it.

As long as we have that thing, Valghia cannot lose.

Is it a weapon?

They say it's a relic from the ancient times when the sage lived.

When the sage lived?

So, what now?

We've clearly won. You'll just have more casualties if you don't surrender.

I told you.

I'm here to settle our fight.

Don't be an idiot.

You should be focused on saving as many of your men's lives as you can.

That's the responsibility of a commander.

I know I'm an idiot!

Bring it on.

Well, well.

After sending in that thing, it's just a matter of time.

I wonder where the admiral found that thing, anyway...

That and General Amelothée's armor... Those ancient relics sure are powerful.

We're almost there!

Soon, we'll be able to drink Atland's water to our heart's content!

Yeah!

Father!

Father!

Princess Ririha! Prince Yaona!

Huh?

Where were you? I've been looking all over.

Süro, where's Father?

He's at the watchtower at the harbor, leading the royal guards.

What?

What?!

What should we do?

Fire! Fire!

It's dangerous here. Please, we must head to the great hall!

Thanks. Süro, you go ahead.

What? What about you?

I need to go where Father is.

What are you saying?!

No, you cannot. You must come with me.

I may not be able to change the course of this war,

but I have to inform Father about this flag.

What?

Regardless, I can't just evacuate while leaving you two behind!

Listen to me, Süro.

There may be others left behind in the castle.

You need to get to them and evacuate to the great hall.

I understand...

But—

Now!

Of course!

I can make it to Father by myself.

Kaina, Yaona, you'll go to the great hall, too.

I'm going with you to see Father.

Me, too.

Let's hurry.

Yeah.

Watch out!

Ririha!

I'm okay! What about you guys?!

We're okay, too! But we've got a problem.

I don't think we can get to you.

We'll have to find a way around.

Ririha, carry on ahead!

Okay!

Sis, be careful!

We'll catch up to you soon!

Okay!

Kaina, this way.

All right.

Your Majesty!

All the defenses at the harbor have been destroyed!

We have no way to stop Valghia from marching in!

I'm aware.

Th-That monster will reach this area very soon.

Do not panic! Send half of the royal guards to deal with the fleet.

The other half will attack that monster from behind.

Yes, Your Majesty! I'll inform the royal guards!

I never expected Valghia to have such a monster.

Orinoga...

We're counting on you.

I think we're done here.

Over here! We can catch up to Sis quickly through here.

Somebody!

Wait!

What is it?

Somebody! Somebody!

Huh?

Oh...

Hey, Kaina!

Wait, Kaina!

Are you okay?!

Oh, over here! Help me. My leg...

Hold on.

Oh, Prince Yaona! I'm so sorry.

We can free him if we move this pillar.

Yeah, but...

This is too heavy for just the two of us to move.

Oh!

Huh?

Is that...

Kaina, it's going to collapse!

Kaina!

Kaina...

Kaina.

P-Please, save yourselves.

Yaona, help me pull!

Okay!

We did it.

Thank you so much.

Are you all right? Don't push yourself.

It might be broken.

I'll take him to safety. Kaina, you catch up with Sis.

Prince Yaona! Please don't worry about me!

No! Do as you're told.

O-Of course.

Yaona...

You're the only one who can read the written words on the flag.

Right.

Protect my sister, Kaina.

I will.

Be careful!

You too!

All right, let's push through to the great hall.

All right.

Let's make him regret his poor decision, shall we?

This is what you get for going against Valghia, Your Highness.

Can this war really not be stopped?

Sage... If you really do exist...

What?

Oh... Light?

Ah.

Ahh...

What is that light?

Hmm? What is that thing?

Th-That's...

Light?

What? The Ascender?

Yes, it's the Ascender!

What?

It really is our guardian.

Please save us.

Light turned into the Ascender.

The Ascender, guardian who protects the people of the orbital spire tree...

Are you here to save our nation?!

Th-They have a monster on their side, too!

It's huge. What is that thing?

It's the Ascender. I've heard about it.

Don't look at it! You'll go blind!

No, the other nations say it attacks ships.

I heard you'll be cursed if you attack it.

Should we stay here? Shouldn't we retreat?

The Ascender... A legendary creature that rules the Snow Sea.

Is that a living creature? Or is it an illusion?

I see it as clear as day, too.

I've heard about the legend, but I didn't know it was true.

Hey, isn't this bad?

Hm? Oh...

What is it?

H-Hey, what are you all doing here?!

This is off limits!

What's happening out there?

Let us see what's going on!

What are you doing here? Go back!

What is that, Brother?!

Could that be the Ascender?

Warning Right arm damaged

The Ascender?

The Ascender or not, anything that stands in my way will pay!

Impossible!

No!

What?

Light...

How could it be?! The Ascender...

No...
