Tan!

Youqin!

Youqin!

Qingkui?

(This place is Dongqiu.)

(The Ganoderma Vein.)

(The seal is done now)

(and the four realms are born.)

(When Guixu)

(has been purified,)

(your duty shall end.)

This is the memory of the Twin Flower?

Eons ago,

the Grand Empyrean planted

the Ganoderma Vein

in Dongqiu.

With Chaos as our bed soil,

Qingkui and I

were born.

The cycle of life

is perpetual.

The Ganoderma Vein

isn't the tree that forebodes the end of the world.

Qingkui's and my duty

isn't to absorb all purity and impurity

before destroying all four realms.

We are supposed to keep Chaos at bay

and purify Guixu.

Qingkui.

You used your life

to show me this edict from the Grand Empyrean.

Tan!

Guixu is about to collapse.

Let's leave.

The Force of Chaos is getting unstable.

We cannot afford to let it break through.

Hang in there.

Look!

It's Youqin and Yetan!

Don't worry, Tan.

I will bring you to safety.

(I'm back.)

You must be in pain.

Guixu has been resealed.

No one

will be in pain anymore.

Youqin.

-Sir... -Tan!

What are you doing?

The seal placed by the Grand Empyrean has been destroyed.

We can gather all the forces in the world,

but none is strong enough to reseal Chaos.

For me

and the four realms,

you have done enough.

It's my turn now.

Yetan!

When I was in there,

I saw the edict

left by the Grand Empyrean.

The Ganoderma Vein

was a gift from him.

After I combine my flower spirit with Qingkui's,

we can use the power of the Ganoderma Vein

to the fullest.

We can then contain the Chaos

and restore Guixu to its former self.

But you will die, Tan.

This is my duty

as the Ganoderma Vein.

Maybe

Heaven took pity on me

and allowed me

to encounter you.

To be able to love

and be loved by you

is the best thing that has happened to me.

Tan.

Don't do anything stupid.

Yetan.

I don't want you to die.

Yetan, come back.

I'm sure the immortals can come up with another solution.

Thank you.

Growing up,

everyone has been hostile toward me.

And because of this resentment,

I embraced my identity of being a demoness.

But all of you

kept me company.

You bring warmth to my world.

I never understood

why I should protect all beings.

What makes them so worthy of protection?

But now I see why.

I want to protect all beings

because

they are capable of loving.

Tan!

Kui!

Yetan!

Qingkui.

You died

for me.

Now,

it's my turn to repay the kindness.

Tan!

Tan.

-Yetan! -Tan.

Tan.

Yetan!

Tan!

Tan.

Tan!

Tan!

Tan!

Tan!

Tan!

Tan!

Youqin.

Tan?

Why are you crying?

Peace has returned.

You should be happy.

Sorry.

I failed to protect you.

I failed to protect you.

You did well enough.

It's such a shame, you know.

How nice

it would be if I were

the Herb of Nine Lives.

That way,

I will have several lives

and will be able to spend my life with you.

The first 18 years of my life

weren't amazing per se.

But I do not want to resent them.

Because those days

allowed me to meet you.

Every single day spent with you

is

the happiest,

the greatest day I have ever had.

It didn't last very long,

but it's enough to make

all the suffering

worth it.

Tan. Tan. Tan.

You...

I'll be fine.

I'm just leaving.

Immortals live such a long life.

Maybe

I'll come find you in my next life.

I

will wait for you forever.

Before you return,

I will not die

or perish.

Tan. Tan. Tan.

The Rooftop Swallow Mansion.

When you gave it to me,

you said you hoped

that I would be like the stars,

shining bright in the sky

and having no fear on earth.

Can you see it now?

I did it.

If you miss me,

just look at it.

If it flickers,

it means I'm missing you.

I have to go now.

Tan!

Tan!

Tan!

Tan! Tan!

We thank you, Princess Yetan.

We thank you, Princess Yetan.

At ease now.

At ease, please.

Tan.

Ever since you were born,

you had to live with this unfair prejudice imposed against you.

You were hurt by everyone else.

But now,

you repaid our wrongdoings with kindness.

You used your generosity and compassion

to rebuke the vile things thrown at you.

You are a good child of mine.

I

am immensely proud of you.

We were right

about Yetan.

Indeed.

Regardless

of the difficulty,

she faced it with grace and calmness.

She is courageous and wise.

But alas, she is gone.

No one will play

Sparrow Mahjong with us anymore.

Feng.

You still have your injuries.

Instead of resting,

you came to study here.

Are you still searching for a way

to revive the flower spirits?

This here says that wood spirits will regrow

when the spring breeze blows.

Perhaps it applies to the Ganoderma Vein too?

Mother, do you need anything?

Immortal Xuanshang

was gravely wounded by the Force of Chaos

and he also lost Yetan.

I wonder how he is doing now.

Perhaps you can

pay him a visit in the Heavenly Realm?

It can also take your mind off things.

He is strong enough

to bounce back from those injuries.

Do not worry about him, Mother.

The loss of his loved one, however,

will be torturous.

Visiting him will only add to his woes.

We should give him some time.

You brat.

Feeling better now?

You're out now?

How is the meal in the Cave of Haunted Souls?

I came

for two things.

One.

About our father,

I have done a lot of thinking.

We were

at fault

and it cost Kui her life.

That Twin Flower

sacrificed their lives for us.

They have saved countless lives.

We have to thank them.

And two.

Your sorry state here...

What are you doing?

pissed me off.

If Kui sees you like this

from high above,

will she be happy?

Don't pretend

you know Kui very well.

I want you to get back on your feet.

Initially,

when I heard about the death of Kui

and the assassination

of Father,

I was

grieving too.

But I survived.

However,

if you keep dwelling in your misery,

your mother and Kui

would not be happy either.

As the mighty men

of the Void Realm,

we shouldn't let the women

worry about us.

Come on.

What for?

Just cry it all out

on my chest.

Once you're done,

I want you to move on

and live your life.

Go away.

What?

I'm the eldest brother.

I'm trying to care for you.

Come on.

Don't come near me.

Otherwise, I'll hit you.

Now you hit

like a man.

Keep it up.

Don't sulk.

I will soon

accede to the throne.

I'll need your help.

Come with me.

You brat.

Don't dally. Come.

Stop hugging me!

Man.

You have grown so tall!

Let's go.

Greetings, Mother.

Mother.

You don't need to come from the Xia clan to visit me.

Youqin.

You look worse than last time.

Jade Deity,

did the injury

reach his organs?

Your Majesty,

Empyrean Xuanshang has the Perfect Celestial Body,

so his organs were not wounded.

I'm afraid

the problem comes from his psyche.

Please rest well

and do not dwell in misery.

The Perfect Celestial Body didn't protect me.

Tan did.

In the most crucial moment,

she pushed me out of the barrier

and saved me by sacrificing herself.

She also saved the four realms.

My fellow masters,

the Ganoderma Vein is a gift

left by the Grand Empyrean.

Did the ancient scrolls

mention a way to revive it?

The ancient scrolls

hardly contain any information

about the Ganoderma Vein,

let alone its revival.

Youqin.

-Father. -Father.

I have heard the news.

I failed you,

your mother,

and the world.

The four realms were in a crisis.

Yetan and you are now separated.

All of them

is because of me.

When the disaster broke out in Guixu,

as the Heavenly Emperor,

I should be on the front line

to lead everyone.

But I was too comfortable with my power and position,

so I asked you to shoulder my duty.

Yetan and you are in love,

but because of my narrow-mindedness,

the sisters died.

Even dying a thousand times isn't enough

to atone for my sins.

Youqin.

Father.

No.

Princess Yetan saved the world.

She's nothing but admirable.

Looking back, what I did

was shameful.

I shouldn't be the Heavenly Emperor anymore.

Since three deities are here,

can you be

the witnesses?

Recently, I notice

that Qingheng has been handling

the immortal affairs.

Everyone thinks highly of him.

I want him

to accede to the throne.

What do you think?

Father.

I

agree.

Qingheng has what it takes.

Qingheng.

Be a wise ruler.

Under Youqin's guidance,

do not repeat my mistake.

Qingheng?

Qingheng?

I

will not let you down.

At ease.

I do not ask

for your forgiveness.

But I might

have a way

to revive the Ganoderma Vein.

What is it?

He has a solution?

I heard that for the flora spirits,

the more thriving they are,

the stronger they are.

I believe

we can rebuild

Dongqiu.

All immortals can descend there

to plant flowers

and impart them with mystic power.

On one hand,

this can make up

for what we did to Dongqiu.

On the other hand,

perhaps with the assistance from all the flora spirits

in Dongqiu,

the Ganoderma Vein

might regrow.

Okay.

I will head

to Dongqiu now

and arrange for its reconstruction.

Feichi, Hanmo.

Stay here

to help Qingheng.

-Yes, Your Highness. -Yes, Your Highness.

But, Youqin,

you're still wounded.

You can go there once you are healed.

Mother,

I can't wait anymore.

Your Majesty,

just let him go.

It will only do him good

if he thinks he is doing it

for Yetan.

We three

will look after him,

so he will be fine.

Mother.

I want to join Youqin too.

Haichao!

Yes, Your Highness?

The new Heavenly Emperor

is rebuilding Dongqiu

so that all flora spirits can help

the Ganoderma Vein regrow.

For real?

Yes.

That's amazing, Your Highness.

I will be over the moon

if the two princesses

can be revived.

Pack up now.

I will relocate to Dongqiu.

From now on, I'm a citizen

of Dongqiu.

Okay.

Calm down, Your Highness.

The flora spirits

are timid.

You will just

scare everyone there.

What? No.

Regardless if they can revive

Kui or not,

they are my saviors.

I will treat them kindly.

Wasn't Fifth some kind

of Guardian of Guixu?

I can be

the Guardian of Flowers.

Guardian of Flowers...

Pack up now!

Right away.

Come on.

Let's pack up.

Thanks to the help from all immortals,

Dongqiu was rebuilt

this quickly.

Indeed.

The growth of a plant

requires four seasons.

Qingheng has always been the one

in charge of the seasons.

Now that

he will be the Heavenly Emperor soon,

I wonder

who will take over.

I can do it.

I have stayed in the Heavenly Realm for millennia

and seeing these two old faces all the time

is getting dull.

Many things still need to be done for the reconstruction of Dongqiu.

It'll keep me busy.

I quite like that.

Besides, I manage

the Jade Pool too.

My presence itself can already impart wisdom

to the flora spirits.

My sojourn here

might help

the Twin Flower to regrow sooner.

Brilliant idea.

I count on you, Master.

I shall concoct potent pills

that will infuse the plants with wisdom

and send it here.

Just my contribution.

I will assist the other two deities

to manage Dongqiu too.

Thank you, Masters.

I'm sure my daughters

will be very grateful to you.

On behalf of all mortals, I hereby declare

that we will give you

our full support.

Tan is a good friend of mine too.

You can count

the Beast Realm in!

May all flora spirits

awaken Princess Qingkui and Yetan soon

so that they can return

to the Mortal Realm.

From now on,

I will live

in Dongqiu

until their resurrection.

Me too.

I will also

live in Dongqiu

until they return.

No one knows

when they will return.

Are you willing

to wait forever?

My dear father-in-law,

no matter how many years it takes,

I will keep on waiting.

Father-in-law,

I am sure I will live

to see that day.
