=Episode 4=

Where did you go?

Where's my mother?

Mrs. Qiu is on a business trip.

She won't be back these two days.

Did you tell my mother?

Why aren't you sleeping at this hour?

Where exactly did you go?

I'm going to call your mother.

What about you? Where have you been?

What are you talking about?

I work at home every day.

I've never left the neighbourhood.

Indeed.

You've never left the neighbourhood.

What are you trying to say?

Nothing.

I'm just curious.

Did roasted chicken

taste nice?

Is it as tasty as the rumour says?

You were taking an afternoon nap,

so I didn't disturb you.

It's okay.

I understand.

So,

can we just stay the way we are

and stay out of each other's business?

What do you think?

I...

Ma'am.

I'm tired.

I want to sleep.

You should go to bed, too.

Good night.

(Xiao Han)

(When are you off work?)

(See you at the beach later.)

Ma'am, good morning.

What are you cooking today?

I've stir-fried two vegetables

and boiled soup.

The weather is hot lately.

I'm heaty.

Why don't we boil soup that

can reduce the heat?

When are you going out today?

I'm not going out anymore.

Really?

Yes.

That's a pity.

Are you really not going out anymore?

Yes.

But, I'm going out today.

Can you keep it a secret for me?

I think

the man next door is a nice guy.

He seems gentle.

Well, it's not easy

to find a soulmate

whom you can talk to

while working in a big city.

Otherwise, being alone is lonely.

My mother

is just too sensitive and nervous.

I'm feeling bored staying

at home every day.

So, I've found a part-time job

to teach children painting

in a studio.

Sometimes, I get too serious

and come home late.

So,

we should tolerate each other.

Don't tell my mother about this matter.

Ma'am, what do you say?

Is today

our formal dating?

Sir, please buy this flower.

She's dressing up today.

She might get angry if you don't buy it.

What's wrong?

Today, I met

your student on the road.

So?

They told me

their teacher is great.

She's just graduated

and is already teaching there.

She said their teacher

is only 20 years old.

Is that true?

Why did you lie to me?

Just forget about

what we said yesterday.

That's it.

Actually, artistes are emotional

and passionate.

American artiste

O'Keeffe once said this.

She said

she has lived a few lives.

Actually, she has been great

at arts since young,

but she had to quit school

because she was always sick

and she can't show others her talents.

Until then, she met

her husband,

Alfred.

When Alfred

first saw O'Keeffe's painting,

he was moved

and he described her painting with

the finest, purest,

and most sincere words.

Then, they met up

and O'Keeffe became

Alfred's model.

He took photos of her day and night.

For example,

her silent face,

concave clavicle,

and her thin hands.

The passionate relationship

has inspired

O'Keeffe's creation.

Anything?

The portrait we drew the other day.

I'm giving you a frame.

It's late at night now.

You could've sent it over tomorrow
