hey everyone this is charles with cue

screens we're bringing you another video

today this is the easy method to remove

the q module from your vehicle to fix

the very common cracking or unresponsive

touch panel

this should only take you about 10

minutes and is relatively simple

compared to the other cadillac vehicles

so the first step is done with your blue

plastic trim tools all you really have

to do is peel back this side panel right

there it's held in place with a

metal spring clip and you just want to

disengage that so you have access to the

bolts behind it

so with that removed you have access to

the two seven millimeter bolts that are

holding in the side center trim pieces

as shown here in the circles there's two

bolts on the bottom and one spring clip

that hold it in so do the same process

for both sides remove the bolts and

remove those side trim panels

next up we're going to remove this

u-shaped wooden trim piece there are

some clips on the top in the blue

circles just pry those out with your

trim tool and pull the uh the wood grain

trim straight upwards and it will come

right out

so now with that wood grain out of there

you have access to these seven

millimeter lower bezel screws so these

are really going to be the only screws

that hold in the bezel uh circled here

in blue remove those two and now you can

proceed to removing the the spring clips

there's two on each side and two on the

very top use your trim tool to kind of

go in and just pop that bezel out

right there and it will pull away

and at the bottom there should be an

electrical connection remove that as

well

and here's another view showing the

location of all the spring clips and

those two screws at the bottom

so now with the bezel out of the way you

have full access to the four

seven millimeter bolts that are holding

this q module in simply remove those

make sure you don't drop them down in

the center console

and now you can remove the electrical

connectors on the back

now you can fully remove the q module

place it on a soft surface to continue
