You dragged me into this. Give me another job.

A friend needs a favor.

A body was found on Runa. They need someone there immediately.

Andrew Brody.

You found the body and DC Wallace informed?

Do you both want to walk?

let's not Sergeant Fraser don't wait.

Have you ever seen anything like this?

No. Extremely unusual burn.

- Who is living there? - Die Strachans.

They came from God knows where to Runa.

- Four? - Six.

- It wasn't arranged that way. - Then refuse.

you involve us so we don't say anything.

I feel a hollow.

I'm sorry, what?

By a blow to the skull.

- So wrongful death. - Probably yes.

Good morning How do you feel?

Yes, rested, thank you.

How's your shoulder?

Should I take a look?

It's just a light bruise I believe.

Oh, that would be it not been necessary.

No problem. It's nice to have visitors.

Please sit down.

Would you like sugar?

No thank you.

Wow.

I really should have can drive back to the hotel.

It's okay. So I saved myself a trip.

Hi.

They were a little upset when i found you

Yes, I'm afraid the impact something took me away.

That's my favorite place up there.

It's easy to get lost. The mountains are merciless.

Yes. So I...

From now on I'll stay on the street.

I have notified the hotel.

Sergeant Fraser is on his way.

Gut.

You can continue today, okay?

Will be done shortly.

Most schools in western Scotland remain closed today.

The reason is the strong winds and rains,

caused by Storm Marley.

The trains in the region drive only limited

because of strong gusts of wind and debris on the rails.

In addition there is several flood warnings for the region,

and many households...

What was the crap?

I found the car Your stuff is in the trunk.

- Thanks. - You're welcome.

What happened up there?

I went off the road

and wanted to orient myself.

That probably didn't work out so well.

When you have the overview again, report to DCI Wallace.

There is evidence of violence at the base of the skull.

And that was the cause of death?

It is not entirely certain but very likely.

- Sir? - Okay, I'll send the team.

They will be with you in the morning.

do you have enough to identify them?

Questionable. The heat will have destroyed the DNA.

And until she's in the lab and the team here is...

- What are you doing? - How?

What are you doing?

Work.

You work with them.

Clear.

Oh, let him, Gunther.

Ever got your hands dirty?

Sometimes. Yes.

And.

nonsense.

These hands never toiled.

They are soft like bankers hands.

- Was that you? - Was?

Did you steal my boat?

Well, you old curmudgeon? Have you had enough?

Never.

Excuse me.

He's always like that when he's had a few.

The bank confiscated his boat, he never got over that.

- They make their own laws. - Yes. Do you want your food, Andrew?

No thanks Helen I renounce today.

- As you wish. - Here.

read this

MYSTERIOUS FIRE DEATH ON RUNA SPONTANEOUS IGNITION?

At least our names are correct.

Don't you find that worrying?

This article could forewarn the killer.

I am only here, to examine the body.

I'm sorry for disrupting your crime scene.

Maggie Cassidy, Lewis Gazette.

- Oh, I see. - I'm just doing my job.

I could have been a lot meaner.

They were last night at the Strachans?

- Are these friends of yours? - No.

Tell me about them?

I'm busy. Beautiful evening.

Can't find anything about him.

About Michael.

No previous employers.

Maybe a new name?

Do business people do that?

There is also nothing about his marriage.

Why are you telling me this?

There's more. Could be related to your case.

I'm not a cop. That's not my case.

Exactly. If you want to talk.

A lovely evening.

I love you so.

Stop.

I'm sorry.

Good night, Mary, my dearest.

Good night.

I know you don't like it here.

It's okay.

It sucks.

You know when we fall complete in time

can we still go on vacation

We rebook the flights.

You always say that.

You do not know, how much i hate this job.

Then quit. Instead of just whining.

never thought to be stuck like that.

I can't handle money. Difficult to do everything alone.

Then drink less.

I'll retire in two years then we go where we want.

Please stop here a little longer through with Helen.

On the island of the old people.

At least you're safe here.

And you're gone from the trash man in Stornoway.

Let's talk about it on vacation.

But after that I'll be sure don't come back here.

- Everything okay? - Do you mean me or the hut?

You.

The car almost blew away but otherwise it's fine.

- And the hut? - It's raining on the right.

But not with the corpse. And the window broke.

I give my best.

Shit, she has to go to the lab before forensics arrive.

There are tarps in the trunk.

you are late

The storm is getting worse.

We don't care about the police they only take care of the hut.

For now.

Gunther, give them something to eat.

I should have done that yesterday.

Exactly, but I had to take it so you do it now

Yes, exactly, open.

- Now over there. - Yes, Sir!

Now let's put it over there.

The ferries don't run.

No reinforcements are coming today.

And via helicopter?

He asks for a helicopter.

- No. - When are the reinforcements coming?

When can we expect the team?

- Good this way. - Understood, sir.

And now hold.

We are fine on our own.

Here, food and water.

you are wet

And.

Here, the tea will warm you up again.

Anna, let Dr. Hunter over.

I wanted to give him some tea.

She always was such a curious kid.

That's a good quality.

Thanks.

Hey, are you okay?

I'm sorry, I feel a bit shattered.

- May I help you? - No.

I just wanted to go.

I don't mean it badly but is it possible later?

Clear.

- I am alright. - Are you sure?

Ehrlich.

- Is there a log of island visitors? - What are you up to?

Our victim measures 175 cm, big for a woman.

- By narrowing down the missing... - What do you intend to do with this?

- I want to identify a dead woman. - No.

your job is to examine the corpse.

I'll take care of her, and Duncan does as I tell him.

It is our job to do what Wallace is ordering us to do, okay?

Now we're supposed to keep our feet still and wait for the team.

I have me now passed half a dozen times.

- Do you have pain? - Here. Cramps.

It's a stabbing pain. But not all the time.

I just thought... dunno...

Maybe appendicitis?

- May I pat you down? - Yes, of course.

Okay.

I'm very careful.

I don't feel any hardening That's good.

- Did you have a fever? - I don't believe.

But I was dizzy.

Okay.

Exhale. Stick out your tongue.

Everything OK.

Has the pain moved?

From the middle of the stomach down here?

Not really. If so, it always hurts here.

When was your last period?

I don't know, it comes irregularly.

Are you sexually active?

Now and again.

Like all of us, huh?

But as, that you could be pregnant?

Yes I think so.

Storm Marley has reportedly already claimed three lives.

An 8 year old boy and his 42 year old father from Stornoway

and a 62-year-old woman from Inverness.

There is still many train cancellations,

and thousands of homes are without electricity.

Hi.

I believe, I need to talk to a detective.

I've been retired for a long time.

And Fraser is better than you think.

Yeah, and Duncan's a nice guy but you're the one with the badges.

- Please take a seat. - Thanks.

Also...

We know,

that it was a murder.

How do you know?

Blunt Impact against the base of the skull.

Wallace has the list sent to missing persons.

- What, in Runa? - No, within a 100 mile radius.

Our victim is female 25 to 30 years old, 175 cm tall.

That narrows it down to nine missing.

And we know her death at least four weeks ago.

If we take them out

which for less than a month be missed,

only three left.

And?

Congratulations.

All right, we'll make you an appointment at the gynecologist for next time.

So if you don't mind

I'd rather to my gynecologist in Stornoway.

Oh, of course, no problem if you prefer.

We are there when something is wrong.

I...

I hope, that's good news.

Quite possible, that she came by ferry.

A reasonable assumption.

And I guess You won't miss anything here.

old habits hard to get rid of.

I can't help you there none look familiar to me.

You'd better talk to Kinross.

He's the ferry captain. Among other things.

Nothing escapes him between Runa and Stornoway happens.

The challenge is to get him to talk.

You are not a cop and I am an old man with a dog.

We have no power here.

And no help from the mainland. But I have to do something.

These people here David

don't like strangers ask the questions.

me in your place

would wait until investigators arrive.

And.

That's what Fraser said too.

Well, she's right about that.

- Duncan? - The tarpaulin is gone!

And part of the roof! I do what I can...

- Yes. - I'm trying to fix it.

- OK, go ahead. - Could you come?

- Yes. - Gut.

Go ahead, I'll be right there.

- See you soon. - OK. Bye.

Thanks for that.

Be careful.

Duncan says it's raining in.

Oh shit.

- Can you still drive? - Of course I can do that.

Fuck!

- I'm sorry! - It's okay.

- I've tried everything! - It's not your fault!

- I have to save her. - Where the hell is he going?

- David! - Stop!

Get out of there! Immediately!

Crap! You have to get out of here!

- It's collapsing! - We need evidence!

- That is an order! - David, this is dangerous!

For heaven's sake, it's about to collapse!

It's about to collapse!

Come out!

please

Fuck! Come on! Get out!

This is Captain Kinross from the Runa Stornoway Ferry.

Nothing.

No signal.

That must be the mast on the Lewis.

So there's no weather report.

What do we do now with our guests?

They were already dissatisfied in the morning.

We operate here not a damn hotel.

But when the temperatures drop can't they stay there

Let's let her out and get her when the storm is over.

While the place is swarming with police?

Who knows how long that will take.

It's clear.

If it keeps raining, they'll freeze to death.

I know!

is there anyone

Hello?

Hi.

oh hi listen our crime scene is over.

And we have to urgently store forensic evidence.

Can you help us with this?

The storm hit us.

Yes, of course.

- I'm just clearing a few things away. - Great, thank you.

- Follow me. - Yes.

Sergeant Fraser an DCI Wallace.

Please come over.

Sergeant Fraser an DCI Wallace. Please come over.

Sergeant Fraser an DCI Wallace. Please come over.

if it is unfavorable I'll come back later.

I treat patients only in the clinic.

Well I'm not here because I'm sick.

You know, I write for the Lewis Herald.

So, I would like an article write about the clinic.

You have so much for my grandma and this church done.

It would be a post in a row above

what people from outside provide for island communities.

In early human history was the widespread belief

by eating the brain

would the wisdom transferred to the deceased.

And even now since the brain is gone

what remains is the intrusion into his space an almost venerable moment.

It can't be very accurate.

- When measuring from a photo. - No.

So... then why are you doing it?

relative proportions can be amazingly precise.

For example if you the distance between the eyes

measured in relation to the length of the nose.

And match it to the skull?

Exactly.

This suggests,

that this is our sacrifice.

She has a pronounced glabella

and a wide U-shaped maxillary arch.

Hallo, Kelly-Anne.

I believe, I've seen her before

She?

Where?

I don't know, but she looks familiar.

Maybe when I was younger?

Kelly-Anne. Kelly-Anne Donaldson.

No, that wasn't her name.

- I don't believe. - Are you sure it's her?

Yes. Yes, perhaps.

- So what's her name then? - I do not remember.

Come on Duncan.

- Sorry. - Did you go on vacation with her?

- A family friend? - I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

- It's okay. - I'm sorry David.

I'm sorry.

Are you also an interior designer?

I'm not. But you're good at flattering.

In earnest, this house is stunning.

I just like to make myself comfortable.

I wish I could too.

I'm sick of renting.

That's why I visit my grandmother so often.

But she's getting old.

She is very healthy for her age.

She's only been with me twice.

It is so important for the old people

that they are on the island be taken care of.

you save lives just because you are here.

I wished, they would see it that way too.

Do not do that?

That's crazy.

On me maybe this article will help.

Hello?

Hello?

Duncan?

Hello?

is there anyone

Hello?

I think eventually

a community only works when everyone contributes.

That was great, thank you.

Do you mind if I take some photos?

But first I would have to go to the toilet.

Oh, it's clear. There is one next to the front door.

Thanks.

I'm sorry. I thought you were lost.

The house is confusing.

I just felt weird. But it works again.

- Do you need something? - No, it's okay, thanks.

Do you still want to take photos?

Yes, please.

Someone must have been curious what you're up to.

They've been watching you for a while.

Didn't you think complete?

No.

No. This is now a forensic lab.

We need to secure it properly.

Okay.

I'm going to the shipyard they have padlocks.

Have you talked to Duncan?

oh yeah he meant she would look familiar to him.

Maybe she has changed her name.

Perhaps.

Brody thinks Duncan is a little overzealous.

And.

i'll be right back

Maggie Cassidy was here.

Okay.

She wanted an interview with me for the newspaper.

About the clinic.

And did you give it to her?

She really seemed to understand what we are about here.

It's her job to understand that.

- She's a journalist. - I know but...

At the end I was almost hopeful.

Anyway, I'd rather she wouldn't snoop around here.

She wants to show us her design, before it gets into the newspaper.

Gut.

How did it go in the clinic?

Has anyone come?

Just one.

Ellen.

She is pregnant.

hey Come over here.

I told you, how much I love you?

I know.

You said the padlock was meant for the hut.

Not for the community center. What are you hiding from me?

- What do you care? - I don't like being lied to.

Nobody does.

What's going on up there?

As I said, it's none of your business, okay?

We islanders don't like it when strangers tell us something.

Oh, I really hope that it wasn't a threat.

You're a long way from Stornoway.

Listen, the storm collapsed the hut.

We had to evacuate.

dr Hunter had evidence that had to be stored somewhere.

Is that so?

And. And.

- Why don't you say so right away? - Because it's a police matter.

I heard you're throwing up soon.

Oh and I heard You are more than just the ferryman.

so please

Why the secrecy?

Because we're investigating a murder.

- Hey. - Hey.

I have to tell you something.

I know.

Grace told you.

Damned, it's not that easy, is it?

whatever you wanna do I support you.

i will keep it

Okay.

That makes me happy.

Do you want to leave the island?

- Because I'm embarrassing you? - No.

Lord, no.

i love runa And I love you.

But would it work?

i like grace

It is so been hard enough already.

Then let's go.

- You and me. - Really?

And.

Just go away? After you built all this?

And.

What will become of Grace?

It's not about her. It's about you and me

And Anna?

She'll be okay, leave her here. Oh come on, you know I love Anna.

Come here.

Come here.

It will be alright.

I have to go back to work.

Hello?

is there anyone

David.

Damned!

Help!
