[My Uncanny Destiny]

[Perseverant and Noble]

[My Uncanny Destiny]

[Episode 23]

Liu Xuanming.

Sorry for doing this,

but it's for the sake of Sanmei.

What's wrong?

Did you have a nightmare?

There, there.

Let's have breakfast.

Come on.

Did you make all of this?

Today,

I'm the one to serve you.

How rare it is

for Lord Liu to serve me personally.

It's my honor

to serve Lord Ye.

How does it taste?

So-so.

Do you have more?

Here.

How nice it would be

if we could live this kind of life every day from now on.

As long as you like it,

I'll make something different for you

every day from now on.

I could get used to this.

I found that

you became smooth-tongued

after spending a long time with Yi Yang.

If I'm serious about being smooth-tongued,

then there will be nothing left for Yi Yang to do.

You are that good?

I can do it with ease.

It's strange to say

that there had been so much time for us

to live like this before.

What has passed stays in the past,

but it's not too late for us to cherish the time we still have.

Dad.

Sanmei,

Princess Yunluo has something to talk about with

Lord Liu.

Dad,

try it,

it's cooked by Lord Liu personally.

Really?

Then I have to take a bite.

How rare.

It's just so-so.

It's his first time. First time.

It's tasty.

Delicious.

Scrumptious. What a delicacy.

Sanmei,

enjoy your meal.

I'll go and see Yunluo.

Oldest sister,

where is my brother?

Liu Xuanming.

Sorry for doing this,

but it's for the sake of Sanmei.

We don't know whether this will work out,

but we want to try it out.

Maybe if we kill you,

all the ministers and officials

will have a completely new appraisal of Sanmei.

OK.

Go for it.

How could you

be so cooperative?

Muxi City is very important to Sanmei.

The only way she can achieve her ambition

is to remain here.

Do it.

Sorry for doing this.

I've made up my mind.

Let's leave Muxi City.

For a stubborn person like Sanmei,

she actually chose to leave Muxi

because of you.

There's still hope

as long as she's alive.

I want to keep Sanmei safe and sound.

To a degree that you are willing to give up your own life?

You just watched Zhao Jing and the others kill you.

With Tan Rang around,

how can they kill me?

The time for Yunluo to notify Sanmei

was discussed in advance by us,

only in this way

can she make a decision.

You are such a brute.

Seeing how sinister you are,

I really need to reconsider

if I should leave Sanmei with you.

The process is fake,

but the feelings are genuine.

If the time really comes

when I need to give up my own life for Sanmei,

I will not hesitate to do so.

I believe that.

But what surprised me the most today

was you.

I never thought that

Yi Yang would step in to save me.

Don't flatter yourself.

I wasn't saving you,

I was saving Sanmei instead.

If you were dead,

Sanmei would be heartbroken.

Why are you touching my stuff?

We are leaving tonight,

so I want to help you pack

and take everything needed.

Moreover,

don't do those dangerous things again.

Leave my business alone.

Do you know

what will happen

if His Majesty dies?

Not only will Lord Ye not forgive you,

but the Xuanyue people will not let you off the hook.

And how will I live

if anything happens to you?

Fine, I see.

I won't do it anymore.

Why do you touch it?

It's just a stack of old toilet paper, why are you getting worked up like that?

How could you call it old toilet paper?

Do you know what it means to me?

So

you've been treasuring

this stack of toilet paper since then?

Then what did you use before that?

It's none of your business!

You'd better work on your own stuff.

I can take care of my own belongings.

He is so infatuated.

Looks like

I picked the right person.

Princess Huirou, I ordered people to make these supplements

for you specifically.

Lord Ye, thank you for your concern.

A lot has happened recently

and each one of them

is shocking.

Princess Huirou, it frightens you, right?

After experiencing the great changes in Tianmu City,

I have already gotten used to it.

Princess Huirou,

you are a person who has weathered the storm, too.

No matter how big the storm is,

it will pass eventually.

Come on, don't just talk,

let's start eating.

How does it taste?

Pretty good.

Princess Huirou, have you ever heard that

pupae

produce silk

to wrap themselves into cocoons?

Therefore, there is an old saying that goes

"Make a cocoon and trap yourself inside."

Lord Ye, as a weak girl,

I really don't have as much knowledge as you.

However,

I've heard before that

cocoons

need the help of pupae

to eventually

break free and become butterflies.

I don't know

if it's true.

It is true.

However,

some pupae

can break free from their cocoons and become butterflies;

some pupae

become the fried pupae

in front of us instead.

Bailu.

Miss Ke.

I was about to look for you.

I have something to tell you.

What is it?

Lord Ye is ready to abdicate

and we are going to leave Muxi City.

You should hurry back and pack up.

Let's get back to Xuanyue together.

Sure.

Later.

Ye Zhaonan is about to abdicate

and she plans to leave Muxi City with Liu Xuanming.

Where are the troops of Tianmu now?

They will arrive outside Muxi City today

and are ready to invade

as soon as they receive your signal.

Liu Xuanming and Ye Zhaonan want to run away?

Not so easy.

Has word gotten out

that they are leaving?

Yes.

Some ministers at the court

have already gone to release General Jin Fu.

The show

is about to begin.

I'll see

whether she'll make a cocoon

and trap herself inside or break free

and become a butterfly this time.

General,

Ye Zhaonan and Liu Xuanming are going to get out of the city tonight.

The heads of the three armies

are already waiting for your command in the city.

No matter what misunderstandings we had before,

we are Muxi people, after all,

and we must not let Liu Xuanming run away.

As the Lord of Muxi,

she dares to collude with Liu Xuanming.

I will cut her into millions of little pieces.

Order from General Jin Fu:

shut the gates

and capture Liu Xuanming, the Lord of Xuanyue.

Why is Liu Xuanming in Muxi City?

How dare he?

Is he tired of living?

The sky is falling!

The sky is falling!

Eunuch Sun.

The sky is falling!

Your sky is so fragile,

how come it's falling again?

This time,

it's falling for real.

General Jin Fu was released.

What?

This is really bad.

Now the city is in chaos.

General Jin Fu ordered people to shut all the city gates

and threatened to arrest the Lord of Xuanyue City.

Hurry up and do something about it!

Well...

Eunuch Sun.

Summon all the ministers and officials.

I will read out my edict of abdication.

Aye.

Jin Fu has shut all the gates,

so you should leave the palace

and hide in my dad's house for a while.

I'll go find you

after reading my edict of abdication.

What if I insist to stay with you?

Then I'll be very angry.

Huirou.

Pack up and we are leaving.

Not so fast.

The show

is about to begin.

-Yi Yang. -You...

Soon,

Xuanyue and Muxi will both be ours.

The long-cherished ambition of Tianmu City for a hundred years

is about to come true in our hands.

Are you happy?

You are hopeless.

I am Ye Zhaonan,

the 10th Lord of Muxi.

My ancestors became the lord of the city

and passed down the throne for a hundred years.

Although there were occasional upheavals,

thanks to the spirit of my ancestors,

the city survived.

When it was passed down to me,

the former lord was worried about me being a woman,

so he hid my identity from others

under the disguise of a man.

Since my childhood, I have been studying hard,

busy training my arrow-shooting

and horse-riding skills,

and dare not waste time.

After the former lord passed away,

I inherited the throne.

Lighting candles after dark,

getting up early and eating late, I worked hard to govern the city.

I didn't aim to be better than men

but to be worthy of the people and my ancestors.

In ancient times, Yao and Shun stepped down

for people of virtue to take over.

Nowadays,

you disregard virtue

and ignore talents,

judge people purely based on their genders,

and force me to abdicate.

Women shouldn't feel shameful

to be treated lightly,

but men should feel pathetic for doing it.

Today,

I can abdicate my position,

but

not my principle,

not my heart,

and definitely not my will.

Ministers,

here is the edict of my abdication,

and you can pay your respect to

whoever you think is worthy of the great responsibility of a lord.

The abdication was settled,

but we have one last thing to ask:

Where is Liu Xuanming?

Muxi and Xuanyue have been hostile

and holding grudges against each other for a long time.

As the Lord of Muxi City,

you went so far as to

form a secret relationship with Liu Xuanming, the Lord of Xuanyue.

What's your intention?

You have disgraced us,

the people of Muxi.

You are a disgrace to Muxi City.

A disgrace!

A disgrace!

A disgrace!

I can let it pass that you mind me being the Lord,

but you go so far as to mind who I like.

Fine,

today, I'll tell all of you.

I do have feelings for Liu Xuanming, the Lord of Xuanyue.

What can you do to me?

How dare Liu Xuanming come to our Muxi City?

How can we explain to the people of Muxi

if we let him survive?

Hand over Liu Xuanming.

Hand over Liu Xuanming.

I refuse.

Kill me

if you dare!

They don't dare to,

but I do.

Ye Zhaonan,

I can't wait to pluck out your sinews and peel off your skin now!

Ye Zhaonan,

hurry up and hand over Liu Xuanming.

We watched you grow up, after all,

so hand over Liu Xuanming

and nobody will lay a finger on you.

I'll see who dares to hurt me.

I'm asking you one last time.

Where is Liu Xuanming?

You want to see Liu Xuanming?

Fine,

go to Xuanyue to find him.

He's a good cook,

so he can disembowel you

and cook a meal out of your organs

to feed dogs.

You are such a disgrace to the people of Muxi!

Pointing your sword to a Muxi person,

you are the true disgrace to the people of Muxi.

Since you court death,

I'll grant your wish.

General Jin Fu,

are you looking for me?

It's been a long time.

So

you are Liu Xuanming.

Why did you come back?

I couldn't talk you out of it,

so I pretended to accept your offer.

I will not let you

face the wolves and tigers alone.

Who are you calling wolves and tigers?

Liu Xuanming,

this is Muxi City.

How dare you be so presumptuous?

Kill him!

You are still being lovey-dovey with each other

in a situation like this?

Guards.

Liu Xuanming, Ye Zhaonan.

Now, this is the place

where you two will die.

How dare you?

[Ye's Ancestors of All Generations]

Are you done?

The former lord is here.

Who dares to kill his daughter

in his presence?

Why did you come?

We are a family,

how could you leave us out of this?

Where is Yunluo?

Don't worry.

With Tan Rang protecting her,

she'll be fine.

The former lord is here.

Why don't you traitors

kneel down?

If the former lord were in heaven

and saw his daughter

in love with her sworn enemy,

I'm afraid that

he would come back to life out of anger.

What do you know?

Seeing his daughter happy

is the greatest comfort

for a father.

General,

for the sake of the former lord,

you must not harm Ye Zhaonan.

Ye Zhaonan.

I can spare your life,

but if you still see yourself as a Muxi person,

and you still admit you are the flesh and blood of the Ye family,

kill Liu Xuanming

in the presence of us

and the former lord.

Then I can let you go.

In your dreams.

What are you doing?

Do you mean you'll spare her

as long as I die?

I, Jin Fu, talk the talk

and walk the walk.

Liu Xuanming!

Stop her.

Liu Xuanming, what are you doing?

Today,

I, Liu Xuanming,

will end my own life at the court of Muxi,

as you wish.

No!

If you dare to pursue Ye Zhaonan again,

tens of thousands of my Xuanyue soldiers

will cut you

into millions of pieces.

Sanmei!

Liu Xuanming,

without my order,

nobody is allowed to die.

Live on and fulfill

your ambition.

Achieve a world of great unity

where people prosper together.

You...

You're looking at me

with those affectionate eyes

again.

No.

Curse

my handsomeness.

Is this the assassin arranged by Eunuch Sun?

Curse my handsomeness.

Even men fell for me.

Liu Xuanming.

Liu Xuanming!

Liu Xuanming!

Liu Xuanming!

No!

Liu Xuanming!

No!

Open your eyes,

Liu Xuanming!

No!

Don't leave me.

Don't.

No.

Wonderful.

Truly wonderful.

However,

there is a small drawback.

It would be perfect

if you could kill him with your own hands.
