containing a holy relic.

Now, according to Bede,

this relic was subsequently
taken into several battles

but we can find no reference
of what became of it.

it have contained?

documented about its contents.

Most commonly, these reliquaries
claim to hold a bone fragment

or piece of the true cross,
but it's that old adage,

if all the pieces of the true
