(Gujian Escort Agency)

You there.

Why are you still here?

Sheng.

I gazed at the stars last night

and divined

that

other than "Leave", "Go Away,"

and "Bugger Off",

you'll say something different to me today.

I...

I am offering the gift.

I think about Miao every day but she is nowhere to be seen.

Miao doesn't want me.

I miss Miao.

So much so that I have lost weight.

It's just like you.

It's just as shameless and perverse.

It used to be your favorite pet.

A chivalrous man will travel with his sword

and punish the criminals.

He fears no tedious journey

and wishes to continue until he dies.

That's what I like to hear.

Do you like it, Sheng?

This bird

is the favorite pet of the son of Regent.

I risked my life

and spent a fortune

to lure it out of the Regent's Residence.

I worked hard for it.

Regent?

It sounds familiar.

That's natural.

Every prince is called Regent.

Commoners like us

will never get to see them.

Oh, Sheng.

I bought you medicine today

and even gave you a gift.

By right,

shouldn't you give me

something in return?

I won't marry you.

You're already married to me.

I'm talking about other things.

What is it?

Come with me to a place.

(Guchun Restaurant)

Sheng.

You still have the appetite?

I know none of your friends

so I can only keep myself busy by eating.

I brought you here

so that you could drink some of it on my behalf.

Look at how drunk I am now.

Don't you...

Don't you feel the slightest...

Whatever.

I'll take pity on you.

I'll get you a cup of tea.

That's what a married couple should do.

Sheng.

I know you care about me.

Maojian tea leaves from Xinyang.

Rainwater. Tepid.

Thank you.

I want to puke.

If you don't get me the tea now,

I might puke on you.

Why would I marry a useless man like you?

Constable Zhao

said Guchun Restaurant

is the best eatery in Weiyang City.

You haven't been eating much

so I brought you here to try some dishes.

Anyone?

Anyone?

We would like to order.

Is there no one here?

Xiao.

Wait for me.

I'll go and find someone.

I'll do it.

Wait for me here.

Excuse me.

A pot of tea, please.

Miss?

Hold on.

I'm not done yet.

Sir.

Look. I...

Your order is coming. Please wait.

I want Maojian tea from Xinyang!

They say a popular restaurant tends to have bad service

but this is worse than Shen's family...

Shen's family?

Shen's family?

Mother.

Mother.

Where do you come from, silly child?

Don't go calling anyone "Mother".

I don't have a son like you.

Mother.

You're still alive.

It's been two years.

I finally found you.

Why didn't you come to find me? I'm Xiao.

Xiao?

(Great-uncle said)

(to study, one needs)

(to be focused, serious, and patient.)

(Mother, don't leave me.)

(You promised me)

(that you would be forever by my side.)

(Wherever I go,)

(I'll bring you with me.)

(I won't break this promise.)

Mother.

(Mother.)

(Mother.)

(Mother.)

Young child.

You must have made a mistake.

Mother.

Mother.

Are you all right, child?

Mother.

Don't leave me again, Mother.

- Mother. - Let me help you get up.

Am I dreaming?

Why did he call me "Mother"?

Who are you?

Please leave.

I was wondering who occupied the First Suite.

You're just a blind man.

So stay home.

Don't go out and drink.

Exactly.

You think you can leave?

Stop!

You dare bully

a blind man in broad daylight.

What kind of men are you?

Miao?

Don't worry.

I'm Xu Sheng and I'm here

to protect you.

- Like I care about your name. - Xu Sheng?

Do you know who my father is?

I don't know

but I can tell

your father

is as immoral as you are.

Wang.

She's insulting you.

You don't say.

Sir.

Lend me your walking staff.

My friends.

Let's charge in.

Let's go.

Xu Sheng, is it?

Just you wait.

I live in the first house by Shuangshi Bridge.

The one and only

- Xu Sheng is here. - The first house by Shuangshi Bridge...

Don't run next time.

Sure.

Because the one running will be you.

Come anytime.

Come.

It's all right now.

Don't leave.

It's okay.

I chased them away.

However, you need to know

that if you have limited mobility, don't visit the restaurant alone.

The world is unsafe.

You have to be extra careful.

Miss.

You said just now

that you are

Xu Sheng?

Sir, no need to repay

my kindness.

I'm on escort duty,

so my job is to fend off all evildoers.

Their simple tricks

are no match to me.

Sit down, Sir.

I have to go now.

Xu Sheng?

Sheng!

Sheng!

I'm here.

Where did you go?

Where did you go?

It's none of your business.

(Gujian Escort Agency)

Spare me, Warrioress.

Spare me.

I don't know where you learned

the Fist of Iron,

but my heart here

is already broken as it is.

If you hit it again, it'll shatter.

Enough of your quick wits.

If you want to live,

you have got to explain everything.

What happened today?

Tie Niu.

I'm thirsty.

Zhang San.

Leave him be.

He's pretending to be mysterious.

I hate people who make things up

and plot schemes.

Sheng.

If I'm thirsty,

I don't want to speak.

The pain

will affect my eloquence.

As expected from my beloved wife.

Are you done?

All right.

Our visit to Guchun Restaurant today

wasn't just a whimsical thought.

Today is the Dragon Boat Festival.

So?

Five years ago,

we met

on this day.

Young Master.

All the women are calling your name!

I only have my eyes on knowledge

and I never like to fool around.

Please refrain from bringing

romance up again.

How can you say that, Young Master?

You

are charming, handsome,

and dashing.

If you reject romance,

how many women will suffer?

They will have to live with this regret!

Such

is life.

Despite my jade-like beauty,

I am a man of restraint.

I'm afraid I have to

let those belles down.

Perhaps I will die alone.

I will wait until the one I love appears.

What a shame.

Wait.

Yes, Sheng?

Master Song.

I might not be very bright

but I was asking you

if I had a history

with that blind man.

Why did you talk about the Dragon Boat Festival

and the archery game?

Sheng.

The story is about to begin.

Patient now.

I...

I have another request.

Go ahead.

Can we

skip the part when you exaggerate your appearance?

I had a huge lunch

and I don't want to puke.

But Sheng,

if we skip that part,

the entire story loses its soul.

- You... - I don't mind.

If you add that part,

my ears might fall off.

All right.

May the man in the pavilion

be Third Master Song, my prince charming?

Exactly.

Are you here for him too?

Not just that.

I'm here to kidnap him.

Who are you?

I'm your future wife.

Third Master!

Let him go!

In broad daylight,

you...

Wait.

Sheng.

I was about to get into the flow.

Can you stop interrupting me?

If I am strong and powerful,

how could I possibly fall into the river

when you shoved me?

That is because you

were head over heels for me

and I'm the only man you'd ever marry.

No girls

would want to hit their prince charming,

don't you agree?

Hear, hear.

That makes sense.

And then?

And then,

you struggled in the water.

I knew your life was in danger.

Although I am a fine gentleman

and I cannot share inappropriate contacts with a woman,

as you

flew across the river

and landed before me,

I finally understood

what

love

at first sight meant.

Miss.

Are you all right?

You

saved me.

For your deep feelings toward me,

I have to save your life.

Although I roam in the martial arts world,

I still respect all moral codes

and keep a distance from men.

When you hug me like this,

it means I'm yours.

If you don't want this responsibility,

I would rather...

Sheng.

Hush.

My heart was aflutter

when I saw you fly across the river.

I hereby swear

that I will only ever marry you.

We will stay together

and I won't abandon you.

Xiyuan.

Sheng.

The love story between

a brave woman and a heroic man.

That will move everyone

to tears!

My heart!

Wait.

You...

What is this blatant obscenity?

His Highness developed this river.

His Highness planted this tree.

Without his permission,

no one

can get married here.

His Highness...

Are you...

That's right.

I am

the intimidating, the frightening,

and the impartial Regent.

That's me all right.

Wait.

What?

Zhang San.

Take him away.

I don't want to see him anymore.

Young Master.

- Don't play with a blade. - Take it back.

What's the matter?

The Regent in your tale

isn't the one I met.

He looks like a courteous gentleman

but you painted him

to be a bandit.

How do you know he's a courteous gentleman?

Do you remember who he is?

I just know it.

You don't.

Come.

Sit down.

Sheng.

Listen to me.

Back then, you were

a plunderer.

And Pei Yanzhen

killed everyone in your hideout.

But now, he's blind.

Karma catches up to him.

And it's only normal

that his temper softens.

But the hatred between you two

will not disappear.

But I saved him today.

So?

Even if you have the largesse

to forgo

this animosity,

it doesn't mean he'll do the same.

He is following you now

because he wants

your life.

Therefore,

lay low for the moment.

And in the future,

stay far, far away from him.

Understood?

You're still sick.

So don't worry about this.

I'll take care of you.

Have you done what I told you?

Yes, Young Master.

I told everyone to keep the secret.

She won't be able to find anything at all.

But

we can't

hide it from her forever.

When Pei Yanzhen knows both of us are here,

he will begin suspecting Miaomiao's identity.

But since they are in Weiyang,

we might as well take Xiao away from him

and we'll leave together.

Young Master,

Official Pei has lost his sight.

He won't be as shrewd as he was before.

I'm sure you can outwit him

by working harder.

You're so bad

at conversations.

Young Master,

you are always obedient.

What got into you today?

Let's clean our faces

and sleep early, all right?

Mother is still alive.

Lvying, let me do it.

I did see Mother today.

I know.

Why won't Lvying believe me?

Also,

why did Mother leave me?

Because I made a mistake.

Your mother is mad at me.

I miss her.

Me too.

Careful.

Okay.

Come.

What's the situation down there?

- Come. - Come.

Be careful.

Steady.

Make sure you catch me.

Okay.

Here he goes.

Quiet!

Wang.

Pipe down.

Don't make any sound

and alert the people from the escort agency.

I wanted my father

to teach them a lesson.

But when he heard that it's Xu's Escort Agency,

he grounded me.

Quiet!

Pfft.

Who do they think they are?

Wang.

We'll burn this place down

and that should show the fierce woman who's boss.

I like it.

Make sure we do it properly.

What should we light up first?

We have to think hard.

The firewood storeroom.

Right.

That's a brilliant idea.

Where is the firewood storeroom?

I'll bring you there.

- No! - Don't!

Are you running now?

Pull me up.

Pull me up!

Run now!

Go ahead.

Warrioress,

we are sorry.

Please let us go.

If you leave,

who's going to finish the supper?

I

have a question.

Does your father work in politics?

Warrioress,

please don't report my father.

Do I look like someone who does that?

If all your fathers work in politics,

do you know the Regent?

Regent?

Why do you ask?

Well...

We had a history.

He's your enemy?

Someone who afflicted

the Regent is still alive?

Tell me everything.

Don't waste my time.

I'll tell you everything.

Everything.

I found it.

There's a Xu's Escort Agency by Shuangshi Bridge.

While they were offering their escort service two years ago,

they ran into bandits

and only their daughter survived.

Her name is Xu Sheng.

Have you seen the daughter?

No.

But Pei Yanzhen,

allow me to remind you

that Shen Miao is dead.

Even if you find her doppelganger,

she will never be the Shen Miao you knew.

No, it's not a doppelganger.

It is her. I'm sure.

Have you forgotten

the last two years you had with Xiao?

We finally moved on from the incident.

And we

are away from the capital that fills you with so much pain.

So why can't you let go of your past?

Some things

cannot

be forgotten.

But false hopes

will turn into despair.

So this Regent

is such

a cold-blooded man.

He seduced and tricked

Shen Miao and His Majesty.

His scheme was so thorough that nothing was spared.

But he's blind now...

This...

This...

This is called a payback!

It feels amazing.

Right?

Blind...

Blind?

It sounds familiar.

Wang!

Didn't you hit a blind man during the day?

Exactly.

Xu,

you said the Regent is a blind man?

Wang.

What's there to be afraid of?

I'm here.

I'll protect you.

I don't care how powerful he is.

I'll make him eat dirt.

Xu.

You shouldn't inquire about the Regent.

I heard

that in the capital,

those who upset him

either lost a limb

or the entire family.

Even the distant relatives...

Wang.

Continue, please.

Even the distant relatives will not be spared.

For real?

- Wang. - Wang.

- Wang. - Wang.

You can't drink at all.

(Guchun Restaurant) Anyway,

it's getting late.

Bring him back.

Let's hang out another time.

Yes.

Let's hang out another time.

Yes.

Xu.

Keep in touch.

Visit the restaurant often!

See you, Xu.

Put it under their tab.

Yes, miss.

(Guchun Restaurant) Xu.

Young Master!

Young Master!

So?

Did you find her?

I checked everywhere.

I even went to the places she frequents.

Young Master,

perhaps Miss Sheng is bored

and she went to another place?

Oh, no.

Pei Yanzhen must have taken her away.

I knew what happened during the day

couldn't be covered up that easily.

All of you,

bring your weapons.

Come!

Young Master,

what is our plan?

Break her out.

- Yes, sir. - Let's go.

It's so crowded.

So...

So beautiful.

Mother!

Come!

Mother,

come!

Mother.

Come!

Mother.

You're still alive.

It's been two years.

I finally found you.

Why didn't you come to find me? I'm Xiao.

Xiao?

Ask Pei Yanzhen to come out.

I tolerated him for three years

and he dares to come to Weiyang to stir up troubles again?

Master Song,

I remember you said you never wanted to see His Highness again

(Pei's Residence) when you left the capital.

But you came to us today.

I guess you're eating your words today.

You stole something from us

so don't pretend you're in the right.

Master Song,

if it weren't for His Highness's generosity,

you would have been beheaded

for the assassination attempt.

His Highness is now the Regent.

He can have all the things he wants.

What does he want

from you?

His Highness is used to commit

theft.

It's only logical that we suspect him first.

And you're just his underling.

Get off your high horse.

You...

Tie Niu.

Attack.

Stop.

Cease now.

Your Highness.

Third Master.

It's been a few years.

How do you do?

Better than you,

undoubtedly.

(Moral) Oh, sweet vengeance.

Karma finally catches up to you.

Song Xiyuan!

Calm down now.

Your master is weak.

Don't yell

lest you frighten him.

Also,

may I remind you

that I am now

the Minister of Revenue?

Getting in my way

is akin to disrespecting His Majesty.

Your Highness,

do you truly want to mess with me

in Weiyang?

It seems like your blindness did not cloud your judgment.

You agree with me, don't you?

Oh, Master Song,

I just arrived at Weiyang today.

I am traveling around

to seek a way to restore my vision.

I'm sure your nightly visit

stems from a misunderstanding, Official Song.

You think I'd believe that?

Why not?

Does a Regent have nothing to do?

I'm not as free as you are,

who reside in Weiyang and idle around.

Have you forgotten, Your Highness?

Official Song left the capital

because you took his spot.

Nonsense!

My master left the capital for his...

His what?

We both know the answer.

Don't play dumb.

I will not stop tonight

unless I go in for a search.

Move aside.

I don't know which of your belongings went missing

but it sure sounds precious.

Official Zhao.

Allow Official Song to search the premise.

Your Highness!

Do it.

My friends.

Search the place.

Young Master.

What now?

Pei Yanzhen is cunning.

The fact that he allowed us to walk in like that

means it's a trap.

Trap?

What trap?

I don't know.

But they don't look like

they are aware of Miaomiao's survival.

Are you done whispering there?

His Highness wants to rest already.

I'm in a great mood today

so I will let it slide for the moment.

We

will meet again.

Hold on.

Third Master.

Although we go way back,

whatever bond between us was destroyed

when Miao died.

It's fine that you made a scene before my residence today.

But if this occurs again...

Pei Yanzhen.

Do you think I'm afraid of you?

Miaomiao died because of you

and I haven't settled this score with you yet.

You think you can?

I do.

But how?

One life for another.

Then heed my words.

I will also blame you

for Miao's death.

Sure.

Show me what you have then, Your Highness.

Let's go.

He lost something

but instead of searching for it,

he came to make a fuss here.

I think he

is slowly losing his sanity.

(Gujian Escort Agency) Young Master.

Young Master.

If she isn't in Pei's Residence

nor the theater she often visits,

where can she be?

It's all my fault.

I didn't keep a close eye on her.

She is weak

and sick.

If someone takes advantage of that,

she...

What should we do?

(Gujian Escort Agency) Young Master.

Young Master.

Young Master.

We found her.

Which one do you fancy?

This one?

Come.

Let's head home.

Sheng.

Sheng.

Sheng.

Why are you here, Sheng?

My head hurts.

It hurts a lot.

You're drunk.

I'll send you back.

No!

They always keep me inside the Escort Agency

and won't let me out.

Didn't they say I am a warrioress?

When can I have an adventure of my own?

Fine.

Soon,

we'll traverse the martial arts world together.

All right?

Is it a promise?

Pinkie promise.

I can promise you that,

but you also have to promise me something.

Stay by my side.

Stay in Weiyang.

No one

can take you away from me.

Fine.

I promise you.

I'm so sleepy.

I want to sleep.

Pei Yanzhen.

Where is Xiao?

Where is Xiao?

(Miaomiao.)

(Just a bit longer.)

(Just let me hold you a bit longer.)

(Gujian Escort Agency)

Why are you just standing there?

The Xu family doesn't raise a bunch of imbeciles.

Sheng.

You're back.

Song, what did you do?

What happened to your faces?

You

hit us.

You were so drunk and threw a tantrum for half the night.

If I didn't sacrifice myself by hugging you to sleep,

who knows when you would stop.

Impossible.

I'm not a bad drinker.

You look fine though.

You got tired halfway through.

Otherwise,

I would be the worst among everyone here.

No wonder I feel...

You were drunk

so

let's forget everything.

But

you pissed

so many people off yesterday.

So you should stay indoors for a while.

Don't worry.

I'll get you some food.

Dismissed.

Regent...

Regent...

Why did I drink yesterday?

Now, I can't recall anything at all.

I finally got some information yesterday

but I can't remember it.

I...

Drunkard.

Sheng is a drunkard.

Drunkard.

Sheng is a drunkard.

Stupid bird, who are you calling a drunkard now?

Eat your worms

and stop spilling nonsense.

I am a warrioress from the escort agency.

Call me Warrioress.

Hurry up.

Warrioress.

Call me "Mother",

Xiao.

Come on now.

Xiao?

Xiao?

What Xiao?

Who is this Xiao?

Tell me, you stupid bird.

Who is this Xiao?

Stupid bird.

Come back!

The Attendant, Ji Yun, submitted this.

- He said... - Your Highness!

Your Highness!

I have bad news.

Xiao went missing.

When did that happen?

I went to rouse Young Master

but his bed was cold.

I figure he must have left for a long time.

I found a letter on his bed.

What did it say?

(To Father) Xiao said

he didn't want to stay by your side

and he wanted to leave.

Zhan Yue.

Go look for him.

Noted.

Stupid bird.

Stop there.

Stop!

Weird.

It flew in here.

Where did it go?

(Beans)

It's you.

Mother!

Why are you calling me "Mother" again?

Don't call me that.

You can call me "Sister".

What?

Don't look at me with those eyes.

Just so you know,

they won't work on me.

I won't grow soft.

I'm a warrioress. It won't work.

Mother.

Whatever.

It's by sheer luck that we met each other again.

Come.

If you listen to me

you won't throw a tantrum,

and you will follow me quietly,

I'll take you with me.

All right?

Let's go.

We'll catch a bird.

I'll definitely catch that stupid bird.

It won't be able to escape.

Do I look good in it?

You do.

There's a performance.

Come.

Come.
