[My Lethal Man]

[Episode 11]

Manning?

Dad...

Ms. Zhuang Xinyan.

Calm down.

You... You got the wrong person.

Wrong person?

My surname is not Shen.

I'm not the Manning you're looking for.

My girl.

Juicy Orange.

Fang Xiang.

Let me check your wound.

Where are you hurt?

Don't!

Don't look at it!

-Is it bleeding? Let me see. -No, you can't.

Why not?

I'm not telling you.

My butt.

You really got the wrong person.

I'm not the person you're looking for.

I have to go.

You're not my daughter?

Then who are you?

I can definitely recognize my daughter

whom I've been raising over 20 years!

Tell me.

Shen!

Shen!

She's my granddaughter.

They could even dodge it.

I don't believe I can't find your flaws.

This time,

we didn't have enough time to prepare.

Next time,

please visit our house.

It's our pleasure.

You're very kind, Mr. Zhuang.

I heard that Mr. Shen's daughter

looks alike my granddaughter.

Yes.

The world

is full of wonders.

Two people look alike.

That's not strange at all.

I heard that

some country abroad had the activity of

looking for doppelgangers.

Thousands of people who look alike

gathered together.

Yanyan

grew up abroad.

She's lucky to look alike your daughter.

That's fate.

Let them meet

some time in the future.

Maybe they can become close friends

and soul mates.

Yes.

President Zhuang is right.

Most people who look alike

are fated.

But my daughter...

It's a deal.

Bring your daughter to our house

and let them be friends.

Have some tea.

Have some tea.

Stop thinking about it.

[Meitian Convenience Store]

President Zhuang has said

she was his granddaughter.

He doesn't need to lie.

Manning

is studying abroad.

If you're worried,

just call her.

I haven't heard from her for over a month.

Can she answer my calls?

You can just call her to figure it out,

you know?

Hello?

Dad.

Hello?

Manning.

Where are you?

I'm in Italy.

Where exactly?

Florence.

Manning.

You're a girl.

You must take good care of yourself.

Don't make weird friends

and don't do anything dangerous.

I just hope you can come back safely

and early.

If you have no money,

just tell me.

It's okay for me to work hard.

I hope...

I hope you can live a good life outside.

Got it, Dad.

Why are you crying, Manning?

Don't cry.

It's not good if your classmates see you crying.

I'm relieved to know you're safe.

I don't want to waste your money on phone bills.

Bye.

Xinyan.

Xinyan?

Grandpa.

Why haven't I seen Xingcheng this morning?

Yan Xingcheng?

Did you two quarrel?

You regret it?

It's from Yunnan.

It's of the highest grade.

I never drink coffee.

Why?

I can't fall asleep,

and will have nightmares if I do.

Do you still have nightmares

in your life?

Of course.

Many people

are troubled by traumas of their childhood.

I'm no exception.

Childhood?

Traumas?

November 21, 2004.

It was already dark and cloudy that morning.

I clearly remember

Xinyan fell down

just after the breakfast.

My dad was holding her

and wanted to take her to the hospital for dressing the wound.

But when they got to the door of the villa,

Auntie Zhuang Meixuan and Mr. Yan's car

had a car accident

on their way to the tour of overseas branches.

Mr. Yan was reported dead on the spot.

Ms. Zhuang Meixuan was missing.

Their son, Yan Yi...

Xinyan passed out from crying.

But President Zhuang immediately ordered

to send her abroad alone.

No one knows

where she was.

She came back later

with her fiancé who has never been seen,

sitting firmly in the position of president of LH Star.

I admire the new president with courage.

But the biggest problem is

she's not surnamed Zhuang.

If she's not surnamed Zhuang,

what's her surname?

It doesn't matter what her surname is.

What matters is you.

Me?

Why did you bring her back?

Why did you push her to this position?

You forced an innocent girl

to take such a big responsibility for Xinyan.

It's not fair for her.

When did this world ever be fair?

You shouldn't have let her take the responsibility

of yours.

Say it again.

I won't be afraid

even I need to say it a hundred times.

But what about you?

Do you dare to

take the ring off your hand?

Yan

Yi.

To cover the scar,

I've been wearing it for 20 years.

So are you ready to give it back to me?

Stop!

Catch me!

Stop running!

Hurry up!

Give it to me.

Stop running!

You can't catch me.

Give it back!

Call for help!

Call for help!

Let me go!

You can't solve any problems

by keeping me here.

Even if I don't reveal your identity,

both the House of Zhuang and LH Star

-will know it sooner or later. -What if I kill you?

Yan Yi,

you can't do this.

If something really happened to Xinyan,

you should tell the House of Zhuang honestly,

instead of getting the Shen Manning involved.

How do you know Shen Manning?

I met her in an arts university abroad.

Although I don't believe in doppelganger,

Manning is innocent.

She shouldn't have been involved

in such a dangerous situation.

If you want to do something,

you can tell me.

I can help you find Xinyan.

She's dead!

Do you think I don't want Xinyan back?

I'm not willing to drag a stranger into the House of Zhuang.

Do you think I don't want to tell grandpa

that I'm back?

I can't!

If everyone knows Xinyan is dead,

what will happen to the House of Zhuang?

What will happen to LH Star?

They killed Xinyan.

If I don't find the mastermind,

someone else will be hurt too,

including me,

or maybe you.

That's impossible.

No way.

Let go of me!

I want to see the President Zhuang.

I want to see my dad!

You can't see anyone.

No one

can escape from this whirl anymore.

No one!

What's wrong?

What are you doing?

Why did you shout so loudly?

You are still peeping!

Who wants to peep at you?

Be gentle.

Be gentle.

All right.

All right, get up.

Doctor.

How is it? Is it serious?

Very serious.

If you're late a bit,

the wound will heal itself.

But rabies vaccine is still needed.

Wait.

Do I need an injection?

Doctor.

How many injections altogether?

Three shots in total.

Let's take the first vaccine today.

Okay.

Today? Now?

Yes.

Can we...

No.

What are you doing?

For the injection of course.

Who told you the vaccine will be on your butt?

Your arm, please.

Are you done?

No.

So slow.

Come here.

Time to get the injection.

Come here.

Hurry up.

Are you done getting dressed?

Yes.

Wait.

I have something embarrassing to say.

What?

I'm scared of it.

Hurry up.

Are you going to get it or not?

I haven't had you injected yet.

You haven't?

Doctor.

Hurry!

Meina!

Wait for me.

Meina!

I can't walk any further.

The shot hurts so much.

The vaccine is supposed to injected on your arm.

I got it wrong.

No wonder

my arm hurts more.

I think the injection is on your right arm.

Meina.

Let me say one sentence to you.

Just one sentence.

One sentence?

I...

OK, that's enough.

I'm sorry.

I shouldn't have been too rashly that day.

I kissed you on purpose

for not letting you talk.

No matter what the reason is,

I didn't give you enough respect.

It's my fault.

I'm sorry.

Yuan Shuai and I

came back to help Boss.

Sorry.

I can't tell you the things in details.

But please trust me.

I want to know you.

And I'm serious about making friends with you.

Can you forgive me?

I...

I don't know what you're hiding,

but I'm not interested.

But

when my mom and Uncle Shen went to the company today,

I suddenly realized

we were not from the same world.

I was angry about what you did that day.

But...

Forget it.

Fang Xiang,

we shouldn't be friends.

Why?

You can't even be friends?

Because

I don't want to see you anymore.

Why can't we meet?

Don't you understand?

I don't want to fall for you anymore.

I don't want to be sad alone

when you leave.

Alone?

Meina.

We aren't leaving.

The person I like is Yuan Shuai.

Grandpa.

Kid.

Come here.

Grandpa.

Why are you up so late?

What about you?

You're still wandering around at this hour.

I couldn't fall asleep,

so I just want to walk around.

What?

You can't even sleep tight

without him?

No... Not like that,

Grandpa.

We...

Why didn't the flowers we planted a few weeks ago

grow?

They won't grow.

The efforts we put this season

will be in vain again.

Why?

Is it because we are too busy

to take care of them?

Or...

No.

It's dreary here.

Dreary?

This family is always full of dark tides.

People always have their own thoughts.

Without sunlight,

no one can breathe.

In this kind of environment,

no one can breathe,

let alone these plants.

Grandpa.

Flowers

will only bloom in the sun.

We can't force them.

Why do we have to force them?

No.

With sunshine

and water,

you won't wither.

You want this one?

I want to water the flowers.

My hair's still very wet.

♫No longer like parallel lines♫

What are you doing?

Nothing.

It's late. Why aren't you going to bed?

I will.

I'll go to bed now.

Uncle Guangyi.

Long time no see.

I came to see you on behalf of my brother.

I was wondering

when your brother can bring you to see me.

I didn't expect you to come over first.

My brother is always troubled

by the work of our company.

I don't want to come with him

and hear him nag

about business again.

I do want to hear him talk about business.

It's been so many years,

the relationship between LH Star and Luminous should be upgraded now.

You also think

we should upgrade our relationship?

President Zhuang.

I'm Tang Lin.

I'm here to apologize on behalf of my brother.

You won't kick me out, will you?

I thought it was some girl.

It turns out to be the pearl in the palm of the Tang Family.

President Zhuang.

Although my brother

has always wanted to

compete with LH Star in business,

in his heart,

he admires you

and LH Star so much.

We usually meet in various meetings.

Well,

I brought some gifts today

to visit you.

You won't kick me out,

right?

You're a guest when you're here.

How can I kick a guest out?

You're so nice.

I'll visit you

and Uncle Guangyi more often,

okay?

Not problem.

Tang Lin.

Why is she here?

Be good.

Let go.

Good girl. Here.

You brat.

All you do is playing.

Can't you help me with the house chores?

You're not as good as Manning at all.

Juicy Orange.

Come on.

Go playing over there.

Mom,

can you stop mentioning Manman?

Look at Uncle Shen.

She's studying abroad.

I wonder what he's worrying about.

Does he really think that Ms. Zhuang

as his daughter?

How can you be sure she's not?

Her grandpa said so.

Why do we still need proof?

I've never seen a naive person like you.

You didn't get any useful experience from life..

Make yourselves at home.

Is this the Banquet at Hongmen?

Otherwise,

is this a blind date party?

It's a pity that I have a girlfriend already.

Or, is this beauty prepared for

your grandson-in-law?

It's fine if this is a blind date party.

Maybe I can meet someone I like here.

Today is just a family feast.

Linlin visits us on behalf of her brother.

It's a way to resolve the competitions

between our two companies over the years.

As elders,

I should show our hospitality.

Thank you, Uncle Guangyi.

I should thank you.

Linlin brought a lot of gifts today.

Since everyone is home today,

so I asked the kitchen to cook them all.

Mom.

Why are they all mangoes?

Are you rich?

You're talking nonsense again.

Yesterday,

two college students came to do the questionnaires.

They insisted on asking

our daughters' likes

and dislikes.

I filled in the form

with your and Manning's preferences.

Later,

they gave me two boxes of mangoes.

I haven't seen

such polite young men for long.

Social surveys?

How can someone do that kind of investigation?

Yeah.

Maybe it's

the pre-market research of that gum company again.

It's impossible for them to give mangoes.

You knew Manman was allergic to mango.

I remember when she was young, she almost died

because of mangoes.

What?

Don't you like it?

I heard that when you were young,

your favorite food was mixed rice with fruit.

I specially asked people to pick the biggest and best

mangoes from Hainan.

It looks like Miss Zhuang is not going to

make peace with us.

Or do you really have specific reasons

that you can't tell others?

Dr. Tai.

Dr. Tai!

Hurry!

The medical record room...

They're taking

the two girls' medical records and death certificates.

Dr. Tai!

Dr. Tai!

Got it.

Okay.

I'll wait for you to come back.

Miss Zhuang hasn't eaten it yet.

It seems that you really don't like fruit meal.

How about...

I will get allergic if I eat too much of them!

I will get sick.

Manning is allergic to mangoes.

But you're not.

Hurry up and eat them up.

I'll eat it.

After all, this is my favorite fruit rice.

And Miss Tang prepared it in person for me.

Of course I will eat it.
