(Episode 70)

What are you doing?

Are you...

Ba Ram?

How?

How are you alive? How?

Why? Are you shocked that I'm alive?

Or are you scared?

Scared of who? You?

Nonsense.

You're the one who should be scared.

It'll be the end of you when Father figures out who you are.

I'm going to expose your identity to him at once.

Sure. Go ahead.

I can go out and get this birthmark removed right away.

And when I return,

you will become nothing but a liar.

But...

the voice inside my phone will not change.

I'm talking about the confession that you snuck San Deul out of the hospital.

So?

Can you finally grasp the situation?

Kang Ba Ram. How dare you?

We hold each other's secrets.

Now then.

You better behave, Ba Da.

We're a family, aren't we?

You're going to pay for this.

Wait and see.

What is it? Did something happen?

Eun Seo Yeon is Kang Ba Ram.

How did things come to this?

Kang Ba Ram. She made sure to hide her identity until now.

But why?

Right.

Didn't she listen to San Deul's recording?

She knows what happened to her real parents.

So she joined our family to take revenge?

Kang Ba Ram.

You're dead meat.

Give me some soup.

Hey. Use your own hands and feet to get it.

Why aren't you moving?

You heard Ba Da.

Geez.

Are you okay, Mom?

What about me?

It's cold and really windy today.

Didn't you miss Ba Ram on such a day?

How do you think you'd feel if Kang Ba Ram were alive, Mom?

My hand slipped.

What are you spouting out of the blue?

Right?

Why would you bring up that dead girl in the morning?

It just feels like Kang Ba Ram isn't dead.

You. Did you hear something from someone?

No. I actually saw something.

I saw Ba Ram's belonging in Tae Poong's room.

Hey, Kang Ba Da!

Belonging?

Tae Poong. What do you have in your room?

It's something I kept when Ba Ram...

left Byeolha-ri.

I had taken it when nobody in this family was paying attention.

Did I do something wrong?

Yes. Why would you keep a dead person's belonging?

He's right. It'll bring us bad luck. Burn it all to ashes.

Goodness. Always going on about Ba Ram.

When on earth can we stop talking about her? Gosh.

What was that earlier?

Did you forget my warning?

Forget, my foot.

That was my answer to your warning.

I'm going to kick you out at any cost.

I know why you came into this house.

You do? How interesting because I don't.

Tell me.

To take revenge.

I know what you and San Deul had planned for the Foundation Day event.

You're trying to get back for what happened...

to your parents and San Deul, aren't you?

I don't care what you think.

But if you ignore my warning like this,

I'll have to take action.

You'll have to explain well...

to Father how and why you snuck San Deul out of the hospital.

No. You won't be able to do it.

You're Kang Ba Ram, after all.

That good-natured Kang Ba Ram.

Do I really look like...

Ba Ram from 20 years ago?

You have no idea.

No idea how a person can change after losing their beloved person.

No, I do.

You stole everything from me. I lost it all.

You stole both Mom's love...

and Father's acknowledgment.

Even San Deul. You took everything from me.

Because of you, I was never loved by anyone.

Playing the victim again? How pathetic.

Haven't you had enough yet?

What did you say?

Let go!

Look forward to it.

I'll make you pay for ignoring my warning.

It's going to be fun.

San Deul.

Did you know who Eun Seo Yeon was?

You did, didn't you?

That Eun Seo Yeon was Kang Ba Ram.

How?

How did you find out?

Answer me first.

Since when did you know?

Don't tell me...

you knew she was Kang Ba Ram from the start.

Yes.

I recognized her the moment I met her.

I have always loved her.

From the beginning until now.

Even more ardently when I was hanging between life and death.

Kang Ba Ram, who you love so dearly,

isn't your woman anymore.

She belongs to Kang Tae Poong.

The two have registered their marriage.

They sleep in the same bed.

Keep talking all you want.

But even if you do,

my mind won't change even one bit.

Really?

If I can't change yours, I will make Kang Ba Ram change hers.

What are you planning to do to her?

That depends on you, San Deul.

Keep up that attitude, and who knows what I will do to Kang Ba Ram?

Just one call from me...

is enough to end her.

Kang Ba Da!

You.

Lay a finger on Ba Ram,

and I will kill you.

Ba Ram!

Why is it her every single time?

Why is it her again?

I'm on my way to meet Chairman Kang.

I thought he'd be curious about the story behind San Deul.

This wench Kang Ba Ram.

Eun Seo Yeon and Yoon San Deul. Keep your eyes on them.

Find out what they're scheming.

Got it?

Hello, Chairman Kang.

Right. I was just about to call you in.

Take a seat.

- Nice, right? - I'm not sure.

Really?

Move it!

- Are you okay? - Yes.

It's about Mr. Yoon.

No!

What are you doing?

Please hear me out first.

Father, Seo Yeon is...

I can go out and get this birthmark removed right away.

You will become nothing but a liar.

What? Did she actually remove the birthmark?

What is it that you want to say?

It's just... Seo Yeon is...

Seo Yeon is...

The fact that I met Mr. Yoon...

Is that what you want to say?

Ba Da, I was about to say it myself to the chairman.

Ba Da, don't meddle in. Stay outside.

Get out!

Okay.

(Chairman's Office)

(Chairman's Office)

Secretary Oh followed me to my office.

You should be careful too.

(Goeun)

I made...

Secretary Oh tail Mr. Yoon.

So what?

Is that what you're here to complain about?

No, sir. I just wanted to tell you...

that you shouldn't tail someone who just came back alive.

You should welcome them first.

What? You want me to welcome him back?

You must've already heard...

what he thinks of me.

That's all the more reason for you to welcome him.

Mr. Yoon will get the wrong idea about you even more. Why don't you know that?

- Wrong idea? - Yes.

That you harmed Mr. Yoon and his father.

I also heard the recording file that Mr. Yoon had in his possession.

What's in that file...

isn't true.

It was fabricated.

Don't worry. I think it was fabricated too.

There's no way a file from 20 years ago was left intact.

Someone is trying to slander you.

So you should give Mr. Yoon a little more time.

I'll reveal that the file was fabricated...

and clear up the misunderstanding.

What about after that?

Will you...

go back to Mr. Yoon?

No.

I can't.

I'm already married to Tae Poong...

and your daughter-in-law.

I'll help Mr. Yoon up until then...

so he can live his life well.

Is that so?

Then make sure to keep an eye on him and report to me.

Keep an eye on him?

He thinks of me as a murderer.

You must make sure he doesn't get into any trouble.

All right.

(Chairman's Office)

If you have something to say, then follow me.

What do you think you're doing?

What did you say to Father?

You said you weren't afraid of my warnings.

Are you already anxious by the fact...

that I met the chairman?

How dare you play with me?

Don't worry.

I didn't talk about you at all.

But if you disregard my warning and mess with me again,

your father will get to listen to this recording.

You must be anxious too.

That I might expose your secret.

You'll be the most anxious one even when my secret is out.

- What? - Once they find out that I'm Ba Ram,

my marriage will be the first thing to be called off.

Then...

what do you think will happen?

San Deul already knows that she's Ba Ram,

so if her marriage breaks off,

he'll try to get back with her.

No!

So I hope you won't cause any trouble and get along with me,

Sister-in-law.

Since Ba Da knows who Ba Da is,

she wouldn't just sit still.

Don't worry about that.

I'll manage Ba Da by all means.

It'll be faster to crush Chairman Kang than to stop Ba Da.

I should make sure he doesn't harm Ba Ram no matter what happens.

We need to be more discreet when we prepare for that.

My father got his way out even when he was confined...

after he was sued by CEO Jung.

They tried to drag him down by having a board meeting,

but my father abducted her first.

Where have you been?

I was at Le Blanc.

I went to see Chairman Kang.

Secretary Oh won't be tailing you, and Chairman Kang...

won't be blackmailing you for the time being.

Why did you take care of that?

I told you not to do anything alone and put yourself at risk.

I told you not to worry about me.

How can I not? Have you forgotten how you came back alive?

The only way to protect both of us...

is to destroy Chairman Kang.

Let's make use of the board meeting one more time.

What you wanted to do with CEO Jung... Do it with me.

No.

What?

If something happens to Chairman Kang, Mom could be in danger too.

Everything should happen after we find Mom.

Are you saying we should just stand idly by?

No.

We did prepare something.

These are the Le Blanc stocks we bought under borrowed names.

Chairman Kang's arrest led to a significant drop in stock prices,

so much so that he had to sell his stocks.

And we bought those stocks.

With my stocks, we'll be good enough to fight against him.

But that's not good enough.

We need to be way beyond him,

not just good enough to fight against him.

I'll also bet everything I got.

Thank you so much, everyone.

All we really need to do now is find Mom.

Mother, could you come out? We have a guest.

What?

Goodness. My gosh.

Who is here?

Oh, he said he was here to see you.

- What? - Hello, ma'am.

Who are you?

My gosh. It's me. Oh Kwang Sik.

You don't recognize me?

Oh, my. It is you.

It really is you, Kwang Sik.

How do you know my mother?

That's none of your business. We need to talk in private.

- Okay. - Come here.

Come on.

All right.

What happened, Kwang Sik?

You must've heard from me already,

so how come you're only showing up now?

Things have been really busy for me, that's why.

I could barely make time for you today.

By the way, how did you find me?

You know the thing I asked you to do 20 years ago?

Twenty years ago?

Oh, you mean the death certificate?

I remember handling it well for you.

Then tell me.

I heard you married Soon Young after that.

Did you not talk about the girl...

that Soon Young brought with her?

That girl?

You know who I'm talking about. Ba Ram.

You know, that girl Kang Ba Ram.

You know the girl you made a death certificate for.

Right. That girl was Kang Ba Ram.

It's too bad, though.

It's been so long that I can't remember what happened clearly.

Gosh...

Let me see.

My gosh.

Now I remember.

Soon Young looked everywhere...

for that little girl.

What did you say? Soon Young looked for that girl?

She looked for Ba Ram?

But the girl died...

as soon as you made the death certificate.

Why would she look for a dead kid?

Soon Young looked for her because she was alive.

- What? - Is that true?

What do you mean there's no other way to redeem the loan?

I told you to liquidate the real estate and my shares!

That was only enough to postpone the recent redemption date.

So you are saying...

there is no other option?

It looks like we'll have to wait until the sales profit of the next quarter...

We can't just hang on to that shred of hope.

The numbers to save Le Blanc.

I need those numbers!

Noh Tae Young, Jung Su Won.

How can you call yourselves the directors of Le Blanc?

How are you any different from the leeches who live off of my money?

I'm sorry, sir.

I'll use any means to find a solution.

Why are you still sitting there when you said you'd look for a solution?

Yes, sir.

The Japanese rowan is my only way out.

I need to...

make Yoon Hee talk.

Eun Seo Yeon. No.

Ba Ram should never go back to San Deul.

I need to stop that at all costs.

Mr. Kang.

- You're here. - Hi. How are things going?

Ms. Kang. I need to talk to you.

Of course you do.

(General Manager of Planning and Development Kang Tae Poong)

You'd better leave Ba Ram alone.

Tae Poong. Are you insane?

How could you marry Kang Ba Ram?

Don't you remember whom Father killed?

He killed Ba Ram's parents.

And you dare to bring her into our family?

Why couldn't I?

If you think about it, this company,

and maybe our house too, are all Ba Ram's.

So what? Are you going to return the company and the house to her?

Don't be so pathetic and come to your senses!

Ba Ram already knows everything.

She's just using you to take revenge.

It doesn't matter to me.

You're not helping her get her revenge, are you?

You crazy punk.

You'll be done for once Father finds out about this.

That won't happen.

The moment you run your mouth,

you'll be done for too since you hid San Deul away.

Keep that in mind, okay?

Hey, Kang Tae Poong!

Ba Ram, I can't guarantee...

how long I can hold myself back.

We stopped giving her medication long ago.

How come she's not getting any better?

There's only so much we can do with visits alone.

Perhaps we could move her back to the hospital.

Your hospital was lousy, and that is why we're here!

I'm sorry, sir.

Make sure to bring the medicine that works next time you come back.

It doesn't matter if it puts her life at risk.

It just needs to make her speak for a second.

Understood, sir.

Get out through the garden.

If anyone finds out that you're visiting us,

your hospital will have to close.

- I'll keep that in mind, sir. - Get out.

Because you had me prosecuted,

the company is in a mess.

Le Blanc. It was your dream too.

Are you really going to leave it to be ruined like this?

Yes, Yoon Hee.

It's me.

Are you back to your senses?

Il Seok.

What?

The one who is clouding you is Il Seok?

Il Seok is gone.

He's not in this world anymore!

I'm the only one in this world!

I, Kang Baek San, who trampled on Il Seok and got promoted,

am the only one here!

Why did you call for me all of a sudden?

It's really busy at the restaurant right now.

Soon Young, tell us honestly.

Is Ba Ram alive?

Sorry? What...

What are you talking about? That's so out of the blue.

Don't you dare play innocent.

I already confirmed it with Kwang Sik.

You met Kwang Sik?

That's right! That punk clearly told me Ba Ram was alive.

Tell me straight.

Where is Kang Ba Ram?

Well, that's...

I'm home.

Oh, Ba...

Ms. Eun. What are you doing here? Why didn't you come in?

Ba Ram can't be...

What's going on?

Are you...

Are you Ba Ram?

(Vengeance of the Bride)

He is Oh Kwang Sik, the very man who ruined my life!

That girl named Ba Ram or something survived,

thanks to the death certificate.

That punk told us Ba Ram might be alive.

- You seem very distressed. - Ba Ram!

Why did you do it? Just why?

What did I do?

Why is there a door here?

What if my son got dragged to the gates of the fiery pit?

Baek San.
