[I'm a Phoenix]

[The king of all birds]

[I live in this wondrous place]

[with the company of the animals in the jungle]

[War]

[has turned the mortal world into hell]

[People came here for asylum]

[But they were scared by my true form]

[So, they knelt and bowed at me]

[I was named as the Phoenix God]

[To get closer to mortals,]

[I turned into my mortal form]

[and blended in]

[However, life was short for mortals]

[They live only for a few decades]

[For a compassionate soul like me,]

[life and death makes me depressed]

[Therefore I used my blood as medium]

[and granted the kind souls immortality]

[Hence they will never leave me]

[The people here lived in peace and harmony]

[Hence the world termed this place as Yan Chi Celestial County]

[Love In The Land of Immortality] [Hence the world termed this place as Yan Chi Celestial County]

[Love In The Land of Immortality]

[However,] [Love In The Land of Immortality]

[However,]

[immortality caught the attention of the Wangming Clan]

[A calamity was risen]

Until I lose the last drop of my blood,

I'll protect Yan Chi Celestial County with my life

You're overconfidence

Hurry and surrender now

My clan will eradicate Yan Chi Celestial County today

We'll kill the Phoenix

and end the short-lived curse of Wangming Clan forever

Everyone, follow me with swinging swords at our enemies

We'll fight to death

Charge

Kill the Phoenix God

Take the Phoenix blood

Retreat

Retreat

Chang Sheng

Brother

-Go -Chang Sheng

Go

Hurry

-Chang Sheng -Leave

-Chang Sheng -Leave

May the Phoenix God bless us

-Please bless us -Thank you

[Due to my intervention on the mortal calamity,]

[I was punished to three heavenly trials]

[I went to the mortal world a few years ago]

[By chance, I saved a girl]

[Hence I passed the life trial]

[And my next heavenly trial]

[is a love trial]

[I have to find true love]

[But,]

[what is love?]

Brother Qi Cang Lan likes flowers

Let's go pluck some more up ahead

A great First Young Lady of the Oracle Manor

thinking about a playboy every day

Look how it changes you

What playboy?

He's the Right Guard beside Father

He's equal as you

It's here

So handsome

What are you doing, Qi Cang Lan?

My flower

Brother Cang Lan

Qi Cang Lan

Brother Cang Lan

Qi Cang Lan

-Qi Cang Lan -Hurry and save him

Let's wait

Qi Cang Lan

Who are you two worrying about?

Do you think I fell into the water?

You...

-I'll kill you -Wait

Look

What is that?

Seems like a person

How can an outsider trespass the celestial county?

I'm reporting this to Father

I...

Let's go and have a look

[It's her?]

[Will my love trial happen on her too?]

[People of the celestial county might think she's a Wangming Clan spy]

[I have to protect her]

She's alive

-Let's bring her back and treat her -Wait

What if she has ulterior motives?

Let's not act rashly

We should save her

I'll bear all responsibilities

What are you all screaming for?

What are you screaming for?

I...

-I... -What's your name?

How can I not remember anything?

[Seems like she has forgotten about everything]

[What should we do?]

[We'll act accordingly to how things go]

Do you know who I am?

-Yes -No

Do you know or not know?

Who am I?

-My wife -My maid

My sister

I can't take it anymore. You're actually...

Come

I can see she's erratic

She seems amnesiac

Even if she's a spy,

she can't create any mess

But what if she pretended to be amnesiac?

I don't trust her

Lord Oracle gave his instructions

We must monitor her with caution

Why don't we steady her up?

Then we can make our plans

What are you talking about?

Nothing

Nothing

Miss. Actually,

your name is Wu Tong

As for what happened before,

it's really

a heartbreaking

and sad story

This is how

things go

You are Wu Tong

You lived with your sister, Diao Diao

The two of you are close sisters and were always together

Diao Diao and me

are the guardians of the Oracle Sikong Mu

The Oracle saw your virtue,

so he took you in as Huan Luo's maid

Here

I'll tell you about the both of us

It's really saddening

Brother Cang Lan

-Please marry me -What are you doing?

Marry me

Don't force me

If you don't marry me,

I'll kill myself

What a sin

All because of me

and my beautiful looks

Wait a minute

Do you mean you and me...

Are...

That's right

Good girl

Good girl

No way

If that's so, why did I forget everything?

How about this, my wife

I'll dress you up first

Then we'll recollect our memories outside

Perhaps you might remember something

That playboy is indeed capable

He can patch the lie up perfectly

Qi Cang Lan

Shameless

So, according to you,

without the Phoenix God's blessings

to stop the Wangming Clan's attack,

Yan Chi Celestial County might have disappeared

And if everyone here

are all immortals,

how old are you?

If I'm 70 or 80

and even a hundred,

will you despise me, my wife?

Can you stop calling me that?

Before I recover my memories

What do you mean?

That one

If you don't say it clearly,

how would I know what you mean?

It's... My wife

If you're willing and happy,

I can be your wife.

My husband

That's it

Call me like before

Sure

So, you're my wife

and I'm your husband

Yes

We're here

Do you feel familiar here?

Does it remind you of something?

This place

is where I gifted you my token of love

Do you remember it?

It's this one

Do you remember this beaded bracelet?

Every bead on this bracelet

are handmade by the both of us

It's the only piece in the world

Handmade bracelets

A bag of flour for ten bracelets

-Handmade bracelets -Bracelets

-Bracelets -Bracelets

Mister

Your bracelet is not as pretty as mine

My crafts are inherited, do you want one?

What are you doing? Go away

Leave

Bracelets. Bracelets for sale

Handmade bracelets

-My wife -Bracelets for sale

-Handmade bracelets -My wife

Bracelets for sale

Didn't you say it's one and only?

My wife

This is because

our love story was sung by everyone in town

So, everyone has been forging their own pieces

Don't think about it

I'll take you to the next location

-So handsome -He's so handsome

So handsome

So handsome

Flowers never last over three months

But you, my wife

You're beautiful like the flowers every day

This is for you

Thank you

What's wrong with you?

My heart is gone

Why? How can your heart be gone?

Because of you, my wife

You stole my heart

Mister Cang Lan's presence

brings great honour to my humble shop

Your order, Mister Cang Lan?

Today,

my wife is feeling weak

How about this?

Give us all cuisines you have

in your restaurant

Qi Cang Lan

You're splurging too much

As long as I can see you smile,

I'm willing to spend all my money

Mister Cang Lan

Mister Cang Lan

God knows how much I love you

If you divorce your wife and marry me,

my ten houses,

20 shops,

and all assets belong to you

Me too, of course

How shallow

Do you think I'll be yours just because you do this?

How can you measure true love with money?

Look at my wife

She's beautiful

She's gentle and kind

What more do I want with a wife like her?

Let me tell you

In this life, I, Qi Cang Lan,

will never divorce my wife and marry another woman

You should give up

Leave

You...

So, your love to me

was so true and everlasting

Of course

Here's your meal, sir

Be careful, my wife

Everybody line up

You'll get what you want

Nice play

This jade pendant is for you

-You set the birds free? -Yes

Let me tell you

your timing was so impeccable

Here

This duck is for you

I'm the flute player

Here, choose one

I want this one

Here, this is for you

-I played the qin -Well done, well done

-I'm the flower plucker -Sure, this is for you

Wu Tong

Do you know? When you lost your memory,

I was so worried

and so heartbroken

Thank you, Young Lady

You must not have mental burden

You should be relaxed right now

Give this letter to Uncle Wang

He'll take care of you after he reads it

You don't have to do so much for me, Young Lady

Don't be too courteous

You should relax yourself by walking outside

When you feel better,

you might remember the past

Right? Hurry and go

Thank you, Young Lady

Go

This is for me?

Supposedly, yes

How are you, Uncle Wang?

I'm fine, it's just the heat

If the love for each other goes on as ever,

why need they stay together day and night?

Tong Tong, to be frank with you

I've fallen in love with you when I first saw you

I never thought that our feelings are mutual

Did you misunderstand me, Uncle Wang?

I misunderstood you

I was stupid

I didn't realize your affection towards me

You're truly affectionate towards me

We can still make it. Come on

Come into my embrace

Come

You old lecher

What do you think you're doing?

I'm just stretching out

I'm stretching up my back

Step aside

Wang Lao'er

Having an affair behind my back again?

I'll kill you

You little fox

How dare you seduce my man?

No, Aunt Wang

I knew you are nothing good

If I don't skin you alive today,

-I'm your pet -Aunt Wang

Please spare her and listen to me

Aunt Wang

After my wife lost her memories from falling in the river,

she turned into a serious anthomaniac

Yes

She can't even walk when she sees a man

Dear sir, let me drink with you

I like you so much

Do you like me? Come on

I'm at such an old age

And now I'm being taken advantage by you?

I can't live anymore, I'll kill myself

Hey, cute brother

-Do you want a drink, cute brother? -No

-Come, I'll feed you -My wife

-It's time for medicine -Cute brother

-Can I follow you home? -Sorry to disturb you

-Cute brother -Excuse me, Aunt Wang

-Keep her home for treatment if she's sick -For sure

-You can't obstruct my business -That's right

-Hurry and leave -Let's go

Wake up

Wake up

Wake up

Respected ancestors,

bless our descendants from the torture of destiny

Lord Oracle

I have something to report

What is it?

Amnesia?

How can something so weird happen?

Yes

Looking at her behaviour,

she's not pretending

Lord Oracle

What should we do with her?

If she's really a spy from the Wangming Clan,

this...

She entered the celestial county in time for the Grand Ritual of the Phoenix

And she coincidentally lost her memories

It's too much coincidence

Something's on if things look abnormal

If she's pretending,

she must be after something

We must not be soft-hearted

Why don't we try her out?

Nothing must happen to you

I merely wanted that fierce Aunt Wang

to teach you a lesson

Wu Tong

You're alright

What are you talking about?

Return to your room first, Wu Tong

Huan Luo

You're rash and spoilt,

but you're not a bad person

Why did you set Wu Tong up this time?

Don't make me disappointed in you

She's not really Wu Tong

What if she's a spy from Wangming Clan?

What's wrong about me punishing a spy?

Since she appeared,

you turned cold towards me

What did I do wrong?

Sister?

Why are you here late at night?

We don't have to pretend between ourselves

I know the Wangming Clan sent you here

I'm your handler

Handler?

Aren't you my sister?

You'll believe me after we exchange the secret code

"The Phoenix cries from the Ninth Heaven"

"A fallen Phoenix is weaker than a chicken"

"A fallen Phoenix is weaker than a chicken"

Continue my sentence

Sister

You're really sick

-I'll find you a physician -That's it

You said the right code

What is your next plan?

How are you stealing the Ember?

I understand now

So, you're my handler

The Heavens are helping me

My plan is...

No way

What you're saying is far-fetched

How is the vegetables stall aunt included in the plan?

Of course

You girls are...

What happened, my wife?

I'm so tired

Greetings, Master

What?

Qi Cang Lan, you're also...

Pay attention, everyone

There's a special operation tonight

We have to put on a disguise

Qi Cang Lan

I order you to draw a spell on my sister

This spell can turn her invisible

So that no one will notice her

Got it

Why are you laughing?

I know you and Huan Luo are toying with me

So, I'm giving you

a taste of your own medicine

Diao Diao

Go back and tell Lord Oracle

I can guarantee with my life that

she's definitely not from the Wangming Clan

You two...

Lord Oracle

I was totally fooled by her

My motives were exposed

I guess we can't monitor her openly in the future

According to you,

this girl is smart and quick-witted

We can't be careless

We can't be blinded by her

The Grand Ritual of the Phoenix is coming

This is the time when we're mostly busy preparing for the ritual

Everyone has been slugging out for the preparations these days

It's hard on everyone

A toast to all of you

Thank you, Lord Oracle

This Grand Ritual,

is it a traditional festival of the celestial county?

That's right

All because of the grace from the Phoenix God,

we're able to stay immortal

here in Yan Chi Celestial County

So, during this time every year,

we'll held the Grand Ritual of the Phoenix

to pray for the Phoenix God's blessings

I'll be doing the Phoenix dance at the ceremony

My dance moves

are so captivating

that all girls will fall for me

You must come and have a look at my dancing

Then I shall give you my blessings for the performance first

Thank you, my wife

The Grand Ritual of the Phoenix is so important

We must be cautious to avoid disruptions from the Wangming Clan

They're scheming and up to no good

Serves them right for being cursed

and not living over 30 years old

They can live only until 30 years old?

How short-lived

What pitiful people

You must come to the Grand Ritual of the Phoenix

to look at my captivating dance moves

Of course

I'll be there

That's a promise

It's a deal

See you there

Let's do a pinky swear

By another day...

The Phoenix is reaping souls

The Phoenix is reaping souls

The Phoenix reaped a soul

-What's wrong? -Where?

The Phoenix reaped a soul

-Phoenix? -Let's go inside

Let's go

He's dead

The Phoenix reaped his soul

Did you see the Phoenix reaping his soul?

Why is the Phoenix God beginning to take lives?

Is the Phoenix using humans for blood sacrifices?

Blood sacrifice?

-Blood sacrifice? -Blood sacrifice?

People in Yan Chi Celestial County are in a panic

They have been spreading rumours

that the Phoenix is the Grim's messenger

and that it reaps people's lives

The Grand Ritual of the Phoenix is where the Phoenix God

use human's lives for blood sacrifice

Lord Oracle

Someone must be behind this

They plan to cause disturbance before the ritual

and slander the Phoenix God

Of course I know

It's just that the people are rifled up

A lot of them wanted to leave Yan Chi Celestial County

So,

our priority is to comfort the people

How about this?

You shall draft an explanatory notice

to stabilize the people's mind

Yes, sir

What Phoenix God?

It's a demon

-Burn all of them -Burn them

Burn them

-Hurry up -Give them to me

-Break it -We're not trusting it anymore

The Phoenix God is dead

What a pity

It's not killed by the knives of the Wangming clansmen,

but it demised in the heart of the people it's trying to protect

The human heart killed it

I don't believe anything about the Phoenix reaping souls

If it's true,

why should the Phoenix God protect the people of Yan Chi for years?

Though I never met with the Phoenix God,

but I think It must be a nice god

Do you really think so?

Don't you think it's a demon?

There's no demon in the world

People termed it a demon because

they're afraid and wanted to escape from it

In my opinion, if it doesn't hurt anyone,

why should we be afraid of it?

You're right

I must find the real culprit

and bring justice to the Phoenix God

Come here

Don't move

What is it?

Go backwards

What's the matter?

Go back a little more

-No, you... -Stop

Place the candle

on the table

I know

I know how the Phoenix reaped souls

My wife

You're really my lucky charm

I understand now

This is not the Phoenix reaping a soul

Someone planned a murder beforehand

[According to Mozi's Mojing,]

[upside down shadow, intersect by lights, causing focus on shadow]

[hence focuses the image. This can best describe this scene]

[The murderer dug a hole on the wall]

[Then he arranged the candle and sculpture into position]

[When the deceased lit the poisoned candle,]

[the light shone upon the object]

[And as the deceased fell to his death from the poisoned candle,]

[an image was projected]

[on the blanket outside by pinhole imagery]

[The people outside saw the Phoenix flying]

[and the human shadow rising]

[This forms the spectacle of the Phoenix reaping a soul]

Therefore, a human was behind this

with a purpose to slander the Phoenix God

So that the people will be disappointed with the Phoenix God

Who did that then?

The Yan Chi Celestial County is always peaceful

Everyone is pure-hearted and kind

Such creepy and devilish act

looks like the Wangming Clan's doings

But no outsiders came in all this while

Who said so?

Isn't she an outsider?

Since she showed up,

weird things kept happening

What are you saying, Huan Luo?

Who's an outsider?

Didn't you say I'm your maid?

Stop your pretence

You know clearly in your mind

that you don't belong with the celestial county

You're just a stranger drifted down from the Phoenix River

This outsider

must be a spy from the Wangming Clan

Yes, she must be the culprit

Offending the Phoenix God

implicates the whole celestial county

Burn her to death

-Burn her to death -Calm down, everyone

Listen to me

She worked on the case with me

She'll never be the culprit

I solved the case

under her influence too

You mustn't blame the innocent without any evidence

You're lying to me as well

Wu Tong

-But I... -I'm so disappointed at you

I lied to you

-But I never harmed you -That's it

Take her to the sacrificial altar

What are you doing?

Stop. Let me go

-You've framed the wrong person -Brother Cang Lan

Don't drag yourself in

If she's a Wangming clansman,

she deserves to be burnt to death

Let me go

You kill at will without any evidence

How are you different from those Wangming Clan ruthless people?

Brother Cang Lan

Spy from the Wangming Clan,

what do you have to say?

You share the same intention

I have nothing to say about myself

You've already sentenced me to death in your mind

Do it

Burn her to death

Burn her to death

Burn her to death

Who dares to touch her?

Qi Cang Lan

What do you mean?

For this stranger, you're taking on

the whole celestial county?

Qi Cang Lan

Are you really sacrificing for her?

That's right

I, Qi Cang Lan, will protect her today

Not mentioning to sacrifice my body

If I have to turn the world upside down,

I'll have no regrets

If you intend to harm her today,

you'll have to do it over my dead body

You don't have to risk your life

for a mere stranger like me

Wu Tong

Don't be afraid

As long as I'm here,

no one can ever harm you

Listen carefully

Today,

I found out how the culprit carried out his murder

So, I'll gradually find out who's behind this someday

Give me three days

If I can't nab the culprit,

then I, Qi Cang Lan,

will pay with my life

Sure

We accept your proposal

You have three days

to find the actual murderer

Are you alright?

Are you still mad at me for lying to you?

I'm sorry

It's my fault

You knew I'm not a local, right?

Why did you help me again and again?

And you trusted me so much

How about I take you somewhere?

Then I'll tell you everything

Why do you look at me like that?

Nothing

Give me your hand

Qi Cang Lan

Where is this place?

This is where I reside

Is it beautiful?

It's like a wonderland

Look over there

It's fine

Don't be scared

Man Man

Are you good today?

This is Man Man

I've been taking care of it

since it was a little cub

Do you want to touch it?

Have a go

Slowly. That's it

It's so cute

I want one too

We can take care of it together

We?

Together?

I mean...

You can visit it often

Stop it, Man Man

Are you alright?

Hurry back to play

I'm admiring this wonderland

No celestial beings will leave if they come

If you're willing,

you can stay here

Me?

I don't live here

I don't belong here as well

Your shadow

Why is your shadow...

Are you the Phoenix God?

Wu Tong

I can answer your question now

Yes

I lied to you before

But I didn't lie about two things

I really like you

Our encounter

and its story is also real

But you were the one who saved me

What?

Back when I left Yan Chi Celestial County

to pass my life trial,

[I was hunted down by evil goers]

[Yao Residence]

I've never seen such a handsome bird like you [Yao Residence]

I've never seen such a handsome bird like you

You're nice to touch

But it's such a pity

You're as pitiful as me

No one loves us

Will you stay with me after this?

I'll take it as a yes if you're not answering me

I picked you up

You should keep me company

If you want to leave after this,

you can leave quietly

But do promise me

You'll have only one master in this life

It's been over ten days

Why are you not healing from your wounds?

-Silly bird, you mustn't die -[Servant]

[Hurry and bring the healing pill]

[from my brother to His Majesty to the study]

[Yes, Madam]

That's great, silly bird

You're all healed

I'll be heartbroken if you're not healed

[Big trouble, First Madam]

[The pill is missing]

92, 93, 94

95, 96, 97

98, 105, 10...

[You were harmed because of me]

[Now that you're in danger,]

[I have to save you]

[even if I'm defying the Heavens' orders]

Who are you?

[Due to my unauthorized action to save you]

[which changed your destiny,]

[I was punished to take the 36 sacred blazes]

[and nine holy lightning bolts]

[Passing through my elixir field and nine holes]

So, the story of our encounter contains

a plenty of twists and turns

So, you're the Phoenix God

So, you named me Wu Tong (plane tree)

because a Phoenix will only rest on a plane tree?

But you're a brilliant god

And I'm just a human whose soul reincarnates for hundreds of years

Everything may be in futile

Love can't be easily forgotten,

as the saying goes

Two of my three heavenly trials happened on you

If it's not destiny,

how can it happen?

Are you going to believe me when my death trial

happens on you?

No, I don't want you to die

I knew it, Wu Tong

A Phoenix will rest only on a Phoenix tree

The Phoenix tree will be unwilling if it's not a Phoenix

If you call me Wu Tong,

can I call you Phoenix in the future?

Sure

As long as you're willing,

you can call me anything

Even if you call me your husband

Phoenix

Phoenix

Phoenix, Phoenix, Phoenix

What is that red light, Phoenix?

That is the Ember

The Ember built the celestial barrier

and protects Yan Chi Celestial County from being seen

Mortals will only see

a barren mountain from outside

Besides, they can never enter this place

Then how did I get in?

It's because of the Phoenix mark on your forehead

You were marked by me

Of course you can enter

a Phoenix's territory at will

Silly wife

Who are you saying is silly?

You're silly

Silly bird, silly bird

To be honest, I've never seen the true form of a Phoenix

Can you show me your true form?

With my wife's order,

I have to obey

Look closely

My wife

What's wrong, my wife?

I remembered something

What did you remember?

Phoenix, you're a god

Can you help me retrieve my memories?

I can help you

But,

can you accept a small favour from me?

What is it?

What happened was,

I never knew how I looked like

after turning into my human form

No matter the water surface or a mirror,

it can only show my Phoenix form

Can you draw me a portrait of myself?

Of course

Good, then I'll help you

When you finish the portrait,

I'll concoct a medicine for you

But do you know, Phoenix?

The most important thing now

is to find the culprit behind the soul reaping incident

If not, I'm not compensating them

with your life after three days

This is what I know

Alright, we understand

The dead cannot be resurrected, please take care

According to her,

before the mishap happened,

Diao Diao was the only one who came for security check

How can it be Diao Diao?

She's the Left Guardian

A heroine of the Yan Chi Celestial County

Though it's not testified, but for now,

she's highly suspicious

How about this, Phoenix?

We shouldn't alert her

Let me go to Diao Diao and observe her

Sure, but you must be careful

-Diao Diao -Sister?

Your cover was blown

You must leave here immediately

What do you mean that my cover was blown?

Trust me

We're both from Wangming

How will I harm you?

You're really a Wangming clansman?

Young lady?

[That day,]

[I lost my memories from the fall off the cliff]

Come, young lady

Are you alright?

[Brother Yuan saved me]

[He told me my identity]

[It was the Yan Chi people and Phoenix God]

[who cursed us Wangming Clan]

[Father and Mother died]

[under their blades to protect me]

[How can I not avenge them?]

Brother Yuan trained me after that

and sent me into Yan Chi Celestial County

I'll find the Phoenix God

and shut the barrier down with the stolen Ember

So that our clansmen can enter

But...

Back when we exchanged the secret code,

why didn't you tell me the truth?

Brother Yuan did mention

that one clansman is here in the celestial county

But he reminded me again and again

to earn everyone's trust with my hidden identity

Only then I can exchange the secret code

So,

you can answer the secret code

Diao Diao, it's an emergency

I know who's the Phoenix God now

And I know where the Ember is

Only I can enter the forbidden grounds

What happens next does not concern you anymore

Hurry and leave

Don't move

Diao Diao, you...

You've finally confessed

You, Wangming Clan spy

Come with me

Lord Oracle

I've heard everything you said

just now right outside

Diao Diao, give her to me

Diao Diao, you did well

"The Phoenix cries from the Ninth Heaven"

"A fallen Phoenix is weaker than a chicken"

"Wangming kills its flames"

"The lying dragon in the mountains finally awakes"

It's you

My name is Yuan Chang Sheng

I'm the one you're looking for

[I was injured three years ago]

[in the great war]

[I stayed in the Oracle Manor ever since]

[and I killed Sikong Mu]

I've been waiting for three years in this disguise

As for Diao Diao,

I sent her to keep an eye on you

She must die now that she knows your identity

Diao Diao was innocent

But she was killed

What did the person whose soul was reaped do wrong?

You killed the innocent to attain your motives

Are the Wangming people

really that fair and just like how Brother Yuan said?

I can't let him ruin my plan

Have you forgotten

about the curse of the Wangming Clan?

You forgot about your oath?

You forgot about your parents' vengeance?

No

I didn't

I didn't

Good then

Since you didn't forget,

hurry and steal the Ember

Help undo the curse for our clan forever

What now?

You can't do it now because you have feelings for him?

If he knows you're a Wangming clansman,

what do you think he'll do?

Three days

Give me three days

He'll be dancing the Phoenix dance

at the grand ritual

When he lowers his defence,

I'll steal it right away

Good

I'll give you three days

You can go now

[I, Qi Cang Lan, will protect her today]

[Not mentioning to sacrifice my body]

[If I have to turn the world upside down,]

[I'll have no regrets]

[If you intend to harm her today,]

[you'll have to do it over my dead body]

Phoenix

Why did you ask me here?

I'm taking you on a flight

No wonder the people said a roc will rise to the highest sky flying with a Phoenix

It's indeed a great view

How great will it be

if we can do this every day

[Phoenix, these days with you]

[are the happiest day in my life]

[So many people are lighting up lanterns]

[That's right]

[During this moment,]

[people will ask for blessings here]

[Everyone makes a wish to the Phoenix God]

[I never thought the real deal needs a wish as well]

[Of course]

[Since there are things]

[that gods can't do as well]

It's beautiful

[How I wish to give the best of everything]

[in the world to you]

[If you can live with me forever,]

[I'm willing to keep you company]

[and never leave you]

Phoenix

How long do you think is eternity?

A hundred years?

A thousand years?

My eternity can be counted

with you for the rest of my life

Aren't the days we were together

eternity?

No matter if I suddenly leave...

No matter if I suddenly die...

No matter if we only have a year between us...

A day...

Two hours...

Isn't it eternity

when I'm with you?

You made this?

How old are you?

I'm 18

Where do you live?

I live here

Why have I never seen you before?

Go

Go

What are you doing?

I'm learning

how to make this from her

I was just learning

Good

[You forgot about your oath?]

[You forgot about your parents' vengeance?]

[A Phoenix won't stop until it meets a Phoenix tree]

[Wu Tong, I'm tired of flying after meeting you]

[I want to have a rest]

[I want you to keep this portrait to yourself]

[Perhaps you'll leave here after you regain your memories]

[But I'm greedily hoping that you can remember]

[the eternity that we've spent together]

[If I give the Ember to Yuan Chang Sheng,]

[the Yan Chi people]

[and Phoenix will immediately be in danger]

[But my parents' vengeance...]

[That's it. My memories]

[Phoenix, you...]

[A Phoenix's blood]

[is the best medicine for you to regain your memories]

[I've never seen such a handsome bird like you]

[Will you stay with me after this?]

[106]

[I remember now]

[I'm the Third Young Lady of Minister Yao of Chu, Yao Mo Wan]

[I'm being used by the Wangming clansmen]

[I must tell Qi Cang Lan about this]

[Phoenix]

[Wait for me]

What a beautiful Ember

With this,

the Wangming Clan can go through the barrier

and break the curse

We'll be immortal

You're awake

I knew you won't obediently pass the Ember to me

Luckily I'm all prepared

The Ember is mine

I'm not from Wangming Clan, am I?

Why did you use me and lie to me?

What exactly do you plan to do by stealing the Ember?

I've read every ancient writings in Sikong Mu's possession

I finally found it

The jinx of the Phoenix God

is the Ember

The Ember is the source of Nirvana

With it,

I can obtain the power of Fire God

Wait till I kill the Phoenix

and drink its blood,

I can be immortal

Chang Sheng did it

Today

is the day of the rebirth of the Wangming Clan

Trample the Yan Chi Celestial County, kill the Phoenix

End the short-lived curse of Wangming clansmen forever

Kill the Phoenix

Little brother

Big brother

Qi Cang Lan is the Phoenix God

And I've obtained the Ember

We can kill him now that he's weak

Kill the Phoenix

Run, Tong Tong

Brothers, the Phoenix God is here

We're saved

Charge

[Oh no, without the Ember,

[I can't turn into my true form]

You tread the path of no return

I'll fulfil your wishes

Phoenix

I'm sorry for stealing the Ember

I've caused the death of these people

It's all my fault

It's you?

Why did you do it?

I mistrusted the villain

I wish...

I wish you won't get hurt for me anymore

With this outcome,

the most important thing now is to protect the people and

fend off the Wangming clansmen

Qi Cang Lan

You can't transform without the Ember

You're useless

People say that gods are kind

But do you know

gods will get mad?

The eternity I promised you...

I'll have to miss it

Wu Tong

So, this is the extent a Phoenix can go

If passing through the love trial

requires your sacrifice,

I'd rather perish into ashes

I never thought

that my death trial also includes you

Phoenix?

Look at the sky when you miss me

I'll look at you from the heaven

Phoenix

Phoenix

Phoenix

Phoenix

Bring that over here

Slowly up there

Be careful

Let me do it

Pass this to me

Slowly, slowly

Phoenix

The fate between you and me

has already been written in the book of fate

I'm willing to turn into a plane tree

I'll let the wind blow by my branches

I'll stand under the bright sun

[I'll never rest for my whole life]

[just to wait for your rebirth]

[Then, I'll help you pass the trial again]

Wu Tong
