[Once We Get Married]

[Episode 13 | Let Me See Your Drawing]

The talented, independent and individual designer,

Gu Xixi, rejected Alex and established her own brand.

Sorry that I can't live my life according to your plan.

Although I rejected Alex, that's not something I would do.

It's not your business now, Gu Xixi.

You're free.

You can open your own store now.

Thanks to you, many people have to work overtime tonight.

The situation is more urgent now.

On one hand, we have to make an alternative plan by next Wednesday.

On the other hand, I need the Law Department to find out who tipped the media off

that Gu Xixi rejected Alex.

Okay, we'll take care of it.

And also, how serious is the impact now?

I've analyzed the data.

It will take some time whether to protect the asset

or to contact the social media to delete the news.

In other words, if we can't acquire Enjoy,

our plan of going public will be affected.

A little impatience spoils a great plan.

Just bite the bullet and make a little sacrifice to steady someone and buy us some time.

It's Alex.

I don't think this plan is viable.

Hello, Mr. Alex.

- I'm Yin Sichen. - Mr. Yin.

I thought we had a pleasant communication last time.

If I didn't take it wrong,

I thought the answer would be yes.

Why did I hear such news today? Is it true?

Mr. Alex, I'm really sorry.

Something came up. I was just about to apologize to you.

What you saw on the Internet is not true.

If you want to turn me down, you should tell me in person in a polite way.

Now I learned from the third-party media that I was rejected.

It puts me in a difficult position.

Well, Mr. Alex,

when you come next Wednesday, I'll show you my sincerity and explain it to you.

I'm sorry.

Sorry, Mr. Yin. My schedule is full.

I don't think I have time to meet you on Wednesday.

Maybe next time.

Fei'ang. Find out when Alex gets off the plane next Wednesday.

I must meet him in person.

No problem. Alex's temper is well known in the industry.

Looks like I have to take Gu Xixi

with me to apologize to Alex.

I, Lin Xiaoya, swear to God that I never told anyone about it.

I don't know what to do now. I can't prove myself.

Could it be that I was too loud when we were eating in the restaurant

and someone else overheard me?

Why were you being loud in a restaurant?

If the news was leaked by us, I would be in big trouble.

But he kept it from you at first.

It was his fault. Why do you care about him?

It was just between us at first.

We could have talked about it and solved it.

But it got serious suddenly. It's hard to end it now.

["One Hundred Years of Solitude"]

The city of mirrors

would be wiped out by the wind

and exiled from the memory of men,

and that everything written on the parchments

was unrepeatable since time immemorial and forever more,

because races condemned to one hundred years of solitude

did not have a second opportunity on earth.

Gu Xixi, you are so silly.

You actually recorded the whole book of "One Hundred Years of Solitude".

To reward you, no, to encourage you to read another book for me,

I can promise you a little wish.

But the next book I want you to read is Pride and Prejudice.

It's quite easy to persuade Gu Xixi.

As I used to do, treat her to a meal

and give her something more expensive than she can imagine,

then make her break the gift by accident.

She's gonna have to listen to us in the face of a heavy compensation.

I think this can work.

That's what I would do before, but I won't do it anymore.

Gu Xixi is right about me. I'm a jerk without empathy.

I can do anything to get what I want, and I did hurt a lot of people.

This time, I will use my sincerity to persuade her to meet Alex with me.

By the way, there is one more thing.

I found the person who spread the news on social media.

I did a quick check.

He used to work in a fashion magazine,

and he was in close contact with Miss Ran before.

Okay, I see.

Let's have a meal together

[Gu Xixi] at Jinling Hotel at 12:00 PM tomorrow.

See you there.

["One Hundred Years of Solitude", "Pride and Prejudice"]

I don't need you to fulfill my wish.

I just hope we can take a ride on the Ferris wheel

if you have time.

And the whole leak thing,

maybe someone overheard it from Lin Xiaoya when she was eating at a restaurant.

I apologize to you about this.

If needed, I'll apologize to Alex in person.

Okay, I'll start reading.

Pride and Prejudice. Chapter one.

[CICI Business Hours 8:00-20:00 Welcome]

Three, two, one.

- CICI is open! - CICI is open!

- Welcome! - Welcome!

Great.

Ladies, go shopping inside.

Feel free to pick your favorites.

Don't miss it.

Free membership for the first one hundred customers.

Inside please. Welcome.

Don't miss it. Buy more.

This pair of shoes.

This hat is perfect for you.

Yeah!

I'm so tired.

Well, we earned a lot today, right?

See for yourself.

Nice. A good start.

I wish it would keep going well like today.

Definitely. We are clear and hard-working.

What's wrong? You've been unsettled these days.

No. I'm just thinking something

about my future.

Your future?

Shouldn't it be bright?

Or maybe miserable?

Miserable...?

Miss Gu. Mr. Yin asked me to pick you up.

I see.

Xiaoya.

I'll be back soon.

Why does Xixi look like she is going to die like a hero?

Yin Sichen.

Here you are. Sit down.

Why do you want to see me?

A married couple has lunch together. What's the problem?

Do you have something for me?

How did you know it?

Take it out.

Then make her break the gift by accident.

She's gonna have to listen to me.

This is Pandora's Box, right?

How are you going to make me break the thing inside by accident?

What do you mean?

I heard you on the phone with Fei'ang.

On the phone?

If I open this box,

my destiny will be in your hands, right?

I thought our time together might have changed you a little bit.

At least you would show some empathy and kindness to me.

But I'm wondering if I'm wrong.

You haven't changed at all.

Listen. You misunderstood me.

I did.

I misunderstood our relationship.

I misunderstood all the things you did that moved me.

It may not mean anything to you.

You designed all of it.

I think you didn't hear me out that night.

- I meant... - I'm grateful for all the things you did.

If this matter is worth going to all that trouble to set me up,

then don't bother.

I promise you.

I will shut CICI down for a while and agree to Alex' request,

but only during the validity period of our contract.

Once the contract expires, you will be the same old Yin Sichen

and I'll go back to be Gu Xixi.

Let's not contact anymore.

Xixi.

Open it and take a look.

I can't afford it.

Alex has arrived. Shall we leave now?

[International Arrivals W3]

Mr. Alex.

Mr. Yin?

I'm sorry to show up in front of you like this.

If you have time, I want to take you to a place.

Maybe it will change your mind.

It won't take long.

You are already here.

I have no reason to turn you down.

Let's go.

[CICI]

Mr. Yin, what do you want to show me?

The CICI here is Xixi's own brand.

That's why she turned me down?

Yes.

She turned down your offer because it has always been the career she is pursuing,

and her dream.

What about your choice?

My choice is to support her choice.

Although CICI is just a small store now,

I believe it will become a popular brand

like Marry Me one day.

Don't you also think she is talented?

So, you decided it will become a popular brand.

Of course not.

I just hope you can change the term of making Xixi the manager.

Here are some alternatives we offer.

We will choose three internationally renowned artists

to be the brand director,

the art director and the consultant of your brand.

We will also set up five concept flagship stores in the city.

And rest assured, your brand won't be confined to Why Mall.

As for the acquisition, I hope to exchange Why Mall's equity with you.

There are still many details I need to tell you,

but the premise is that you are willing to hear me out.

Miss Gu is a person with magic.

It's not long, and some interesting changes

seem to have taken place in you.

But sorry, I can't grant your request.

It's okay.

I've prepared for this.

Even though I still insist

Miss Gu be the manager,

you will still choose to respect Miss Gu's decision, right?

To be honest, I'm ready

to be rejected by you.

I'll still support her dream.

I see what you mean. I'll keep the proposal.

But

you can't convince me now.

Sorry.

Check again.

Okay, got it.

There must be a problem with the data.

I believe Fei'ang has told you the result.

Sadly, Alex turned us down in the end.

It's not your problem.

I'm responsible for this.

I allow any of you to leave Why Mall now.

I'll write a letter of recommendation for you

and you can go to the Yin Group.

I believe all of you

will have a better future.

Boss.

Amy, where do you want to go?

I want to stay in Why Mall.

I've been scared of you.

I feel that you are impersonal.

But, you did this for a girl you like.

It's pretty cool.

There will be a tough battle to fight, but we believe in you.

You made the miracle of Why Mall.

I don't believe you don't have Plan B.

I'm ready to work overtime with you.

Thank you all.

I've chosen three alternative brands

and showed them our intention to acquire them.

They also showed great interest in us.

Even if Alex turned us down, we won't go home empty-handed.

But even combine these three brands...

I know that the combined sales and influence of these three brands

are less than half that of Enjoy,

but it's just a rough plan.

In the next six months,

I'll keep looking for brands we can work with

to make up for our loss this time.

I knew from the beginning

that you are ready to be turned down.

This is the worst situation.

Anyway, you still have to be prepared for a long-term battle.

Good luck.

♫ Like a shooting star passing by, the night sky is lit up ♫

♫ I would never want you to fall like this ♫

♫ The road twist and turns, but the light sparkles ♫

Oh, no.

What's wrong?

I threw the wrong coin.

I don't think I can find it.

Is that coin important?

It's a commemorative coin my dad gave me when I was a kid.

Never mind. If it's lost, it's lost. I won't be able to find it.

♫ I'm touched by you all the time ♫

♫ Because my heart is blank ♫

[For this coin, I was almost taken as a thief who stole coins in Milan.]

[I wanted to surprise you, but I think there is no better time than now.]

[Can I ride the Ferris wheel with you?]

For this coin, I was almost taken as a thief

who stole coins in Milan.

♫ It's me who loves you, like a fairy tale coming true ♫

♫ The Achilles' heel Is the soft corner of my heart ♫

♫ We attract each other ♫

♫ Simple and persistent ♫

♫ It makes your dream more complete, everything is strong and unbreakable ♫

Why are you coughing?

I'm not feeling well.

Did you catch a cold?

Just a little cold. I'll sleep it off.

I wanted to surprise you,

but I think

there is no better time than now.

Can I ride the Ferris wheel with you?

♫ Turn into the Milky Way In my night sky ♫

♫ Will never fall ♫

Miss Gu.

Mr. Alex, sorry to bother you so late.

Thank you for agreeing to see me.

You finally come to me.

I'm here to apologize to you.

For some personal reasons,

I declined your offer of making me the manager,

but it was not because I have any problems with you or your brand.

It's just some trade-offs in my career plan.

I don't want to impose.

I won't make you do anything you don't like.

You don't have to apologize.

I don't want you to misunderstand me

or misunderstand Sichen.

I didn't misunderstand either of you.

I trust your talent and your creativity.

If you don't agree, I can only turn Mr. Yin down.

I'm sure you also know it.

I guessed the result.

I know it can be very inappropriate for me to say this,

but I really want to have a try.

Because my husband...

Because Yin Sichen

really put a lot of efforts in you and your brand.

You are very important to him.

Therefore, if you turned him down because of me,

I can promise you now.

If you want, I can work for your brand.

I'm surprised to hear you say that.

Miss Gu, what changed your mind?

I suddenly found

that Sichen has been doing things for me silently.

I shouldn't just think about myself.

I should also think about him.

So, will you accept my apology and reconsider Sichen's proposal?

If I say yes to you, your husband will blame me.

Shouldn't he be happy?

I've been to your store. Mr. Yin took me there.

It's good.

Although it's just a small store,

the display and furnishings are cleverly designed.

He told me that, no matter what my decision is,

he will respect your opinion.

He brought me to your store so that I can understand you

and respect your dream.

You are just like the old me,

with all these expectations for the future.

I even feel

that the old me

was doing something that deprived others of their dreams.

He actually said that to you?

I'm not wrong about you and Mr. Yin.

You are willing to give for each other.

So, does it mean that you'll accept my proposal?

Not yours, but his proposal.

I'll respect your dream

and accept his proposal at the same time.

Thank you.

Sorry, sorry.

[Leasing Contract for No. 48, Liuyin Street]

Don't you need to work today?

I'll stay home today sorting out the accounts.

Fei'ang, can I ask you why your company wanted to rent this store?

Well, these are the addresses of the five boutiques selected by the Purchasing Department.

I haven't had time to show them to Sichen.

What's wrong?

Does Sichen not know about it?

But I guess there is no need to show him now.

Alex has turned us down.

Maybe there will be a turnaround.

A turnaround?

Maybe.

Sichen is in the study. Go ahead.

Bye-bye.

Okay. Okay.

Thank you, Mr. Alex.

Okay.

Yeah!

What's wrong?

Alex agreed to our proposal.

He agreed?

That's the turnaround Miss Gu talked about?

What did Gu Xixi say?

She said there might be a turnaround.

Put the folder on the table.

You can go home early today. You have a day off.

Everyone in the company has a day off.

♫ I want to be close to you every time. Yeah ♫

♫ Your smile tastes like honey. It can't be sweeter ♫

♫ I close my eyes to taste it ♫

♫ I like you so much that I pay special attention to everything you do ♫

♫ You live in my heart like the weather ♫

Gu Xixi.

Cola.

♫ My mood is entirely up to you ♫

Gu Xixi.

Be quiet.

♫ But I can't explain ♫

♫ Or love just doesn't make sense ♫

♫ Everything I see is about you ♫

♫ I want to be with you every day, is it okay? ♫

♫ The big sun melted the ice cream ♫

What is Yin Sichen going to say to me?

He has been staring at me for a while without saying anything.

♫ I like you so much, but I can't explain ♫

♫ Or love just doesn't make sense ♫

Well, he does look handsome.

♫ I want to be with you every day, is it okay? ♫

Well, Gu Xixi does look pretty.

It's not entirely my loss to marry her.

Gu Xixi, are you finished?

Not yet.

Let me see.

- No. - Gu Xixi.

Stop.

Let me see.

- Let me see. - No.

♫ I'm by myself in my dream ♫

♫ Waiting for the stars to read the code of tears ♫

Thank you for convincing Alex for me.

I also want to thank you for not killing a designer's dream.

I wonder how you did it.

It's a secret.

Let me see your drawing, then.

No.

No.

♫ Getting more crowded ♫

♫ You are the only one my heart can fit ♫

♫ When love hit my heart ♫

You...

♫ I'm not afraid of becoming crazy for you ♫

♫ Gentleness is like a catalyst. It pushes us closer together ♫

♫ Like fireworks kissing the sky ♫

Gu Xixi!

Love does refresh people up.

- What are you talking about? - You're basically writing "I'm happy"

on your forehead now.

Listen, our store has opened.

It's time to put brand promotion on the schedule.

I finally got us the photo studio. What about the models?

As for the models,

don't you know many modeling agents?

Don't they have any models?

Those models are expensive.

Xiaoya, do you know what taking advantage is?

Don't be nervous about the audition later.

Just be yourself and take it easy.

Hello. I'm Gu Xixi. I contacted you before.

- Okay, come with me. - Okay, thank you.

Hello, we are running a new brand called CICI.

The models you chose this time are not for our year-end celebration.

- I'll talk to you myself later. - Okay.

Would it be convenient for you to send us a copy of the new information?

No problem.

After we receive the new information,

we will recommend suitable models according to your requirements.

- Do you know him? - Yeah.

He got a lot of models working for him.

I need you to contact this agent.

I'll audition their models in person this afternoon.

Okay.

- See you then. - See you then.

We got it?

Yeah!

[Shooting Plan]

[Location: Chunhe Studio, Jiangbei Models: Amy, Linda, Chris]

Where are they?

They haven't come yet.

- They haven't come? - Um.

What time is it?

Hello. I'm CICI's Gu Xixi. We met yesterday.

Aren't you supposed to bring the models to our studio at 10 AM today?

What...? What do you mean you can't come?

All right. All right.

What's going on?

He said he can't come.

There is a big fashion celebration and all the models went there.

They don't have any models left now. He has no contract spirit at all.

What to do then?

The studio and the photographer cost us a lot for one day.

Xixi?

Senior.

I heard that you are shooting today. I came here to take a look.

Well, haven't you started yet?

Our models were poached.

We're worried about what to do now.

It's all my fault. I didn't sign a contract with them.

I have to see if there is any model who can come in time,

but I think the chance is slim.

What's wrong?

I think a good idea flicks.

Mr. Mo, why don't you help us?

You can be our model.

He is a president. How can he be a model?

Can I?

Be confident. You definitely can.

You are the only one who can help us now.

There is no other way.

- Well, okay. - Really?

- Really? - But you can't laugh at me if I don't do it well.

- You won't. - How come?

Change your clothes then.

Okay.

We are going to the studio now.

By the way, I'm gonna tell Gu Xixi I like her.

You've finally decided.

Help me think of a romantic way to do it.

Romantic...

Let me think about it.

Take your time.

A masquerade?

How is it, Senior? Do the clothes fit well?

I think the shirt is a little too big.

It's a bit big. Let me clip it for you.

Okay.

You need to tuck it in.

It seems much better now.

Put on the suit then.

Okay.

Let me see.

Okay, it's perfect.

Okay.

Xiaoya, get ready to shoot.

So handsome.

Lin Xiaoya, wipe your drool. Don't be so boy-crazy.

Senior Mo is supposed to be a model,

but his business stands in his way.

That's right.

I think he is even hotter than all the models we met yesterday.

How did he become a president?

What a pity!

Exactly.

Well, let's take a break.

Thank you.

- Thanks. - Let me see.

How is it? Am I doing all right?

Senior, if you don't want to be a president anymore, please be a model.

You are perfect for it.

If there is such a day, you must still hire me to be your model.

I'm afraid I can only hire you when I become a famous designer.

Otherwise, I can't afford it.

Sorry. Sorry.

Sorry.

I'm going to change my clothes.

Are you all right?

I'm fine.

I feel the way he looked at you is abnormal.

Lin Xiaoya, everything is abnormal to you.

I think you have a problem with your brain.

Who has a problem? I think you are too insensitive.

I didn't expect the photos of Senior are really good.

It's really good.

Yin Sichen? What are you doing here?

I'm here to surprise my wife at work.

Wow. There is so much food.

Why is he here?

The models we hired before canceled on us at the last minute.

Senior is here to save us and be our model.

It's our family affair.

How can you trouble someone else?

Isn't it just modeling?

I can do it, too.

How can you do modeling?

Okay, we are short of models anyway.

It would be great if Mr. Yin can help.

Let's change clothes now.

See you later.

Okay, done.

Thank you, Mr. Mo.

- Thank you, Senior. - No problem.

We need you to be lively and cheerful for the next set of photos.

It's more casual.

Wait.

What are you doing, Yin Sichen?

That's what I should ask you. What are you doing?

His tie is crooked. I wanted to adjust it for him. Is there a problem?

I'm the next one to be photographed.

You should adjust my clothes.

Yin Sichen, listen. I'm working now. Don't cause me trouble.

Gu Xixi, I'm your husband.

Just for now.

Mr. Yin, you can get ready.

Go ahead.

Look at the camera.

Hey, Yin Sichen, what's that look? Do you want to kill someone?

I want the cute and sunshine-boy style. Is it hard?

Yin Sichen, are you doing it on purpose?

Is it that hard to be cute?

Just like this.

- Like this. - Gu Xixi.

You said you want to do this. You have to cooperate.

No, forget it. Never mind.

I don't think he can do that style with his inborn poker face.

Prop master, give him a coke.

Well, imagine you are running like crazy

in the very hot summer.

You have run three kilometers

and you are tired and hot.

It's too hot and you are really thirsty.

Then, someone handed you a bottle of cold coke.

You can't wait to open it.

Yin Sichen!

What should I do?

Come on.

No need to make a fuss.

I won't blame you. This coke didn't splash on my face.

- My hair isn't messy, is it? - I'm not worried about you.

I'm talking about the shirt. What should I do?

This is the only handmade shirt I brought.

There are coke stains on it now.

Wait. Think about it. I've run three kilometers.

I'm thirsty and tired.

Suddenly, there is a bottle of cold coke.

Of course I would pop it open with a crisp sound.

That's how they act in the ads.

Yes, it made you look cool.

What about my shirt?

You have to pay for it.

You wanna rip me off again?

You wanna plant it on me?

You should learn for a few more years.

Yin Sichen, you...

Do you have a conscience? You have to give me the money.

I'm exhausted.

I have no idea if I can live till the day I get rich.

It's up to you,

but you have to live long enough to fulfill the contract.

Are you a devil?

I can't make it.

Boss, is it a bonus?

This is for the damaged clothes today,

also a little surprise for you

to give you something to live for.

Thank you, boss.

What do you mean?

Answer me a question first.

Go ahead.

I didn't want to ask it,

but your performance today upset me.

Who did better today, me or Mo Zixin?

The red packet is for buying me.

Cut it off, just tell me.

Mo Zixin. He is handsome and graceful with a pair of long legs.

He is also cooperative.

No doubt he got a perfect score.

You are also handsome, and graceful. Your legs are long, too.

But you had a murderous look and you were not very cooperative.

I think it cost you one point. You got 99 points.

Boss.

Gu Xixi, I think this red packet is too thick for you to take.

Wait for me. I'll go upstairs and wrap a new one for you.

Boss, listen to me.

99 is also good.

Look, one point leaves you some room for improvement.

It means that you have limitless potential.

It's a game of two and you ranked me second.

But, you used a red packet to allay my tiredness.

It means you are caring and warm.

You can also get a perfect score, okay?

Take it seriously.

Who is first, me or him?

It's a foul to threaten the referee.

Mr. Yin told me in advance that you've had a long day

and a cup of hot milk can help you sleep.

Thanks, Madam Song.

Well, since you brought me milk, I'll give you one more point.

You are the real number one now.

Gu Xixi, you are my wife.

Do you need me to teach you how to be a good Mrs. Yin?
