Hello, everyone!

Hello.

Just as I had the honor of hosting last year's Gayo Daejeon,

I once again have the honor of hosting the show this year. I'm KEY of SHINee.

Nice to meet you all!

I finally have the chance...

to welcome you to 2022 SBS Gayo Daejeon as your host.

Hello. I'm Cha Eun Woo.

Hello, everyone. I'm An Yu Jin of IVE.

All right. It's been a while since I came back here as the host.

I was once the host of "SBS Inkigayo."

And now, I'm here today as the host of 2022 SBS Gayo Daejeon.

It's a huge honor.

As this position comes with a lot of responsibility,

I will follow my senior singers' lead...

and do my best today. Can you see the determination in my eyes?

I assure you I will do my very best today.

All right. Your eyes are full of enthusiasm.

I just saw a hint of craziness in your pure eyes.

Everyone, did you feel her passion?

- Yes! - Yes!

Thank you. And as for our passion for K-pop,

please take a look at this character.

You can use this character to remember our passion.

This character has a gaze as intense as Yu Jin's.

Who is this character?

This character's name is Dalto.

SBS put a lot of effort into this and just finalized this mascot.

It's a mascot of the K-pop Content.

It's going to have an important role.

So please show your support and love for Dalto.

- Okay. - The mascot of the SBS K-pop Content,

Dalto. Please remember our mascot.

The three of us will make sure your Christmas Eve will be fun...

Happy...

And moving. We will do our best to make that happen.

So we're very determined to have fun today.

I wonder how the audience in the Gocheok Sky Dome feels.

Are you guys ready?

- Yes! - Yes!

If you're ready, make some noise!

(This was filmed safely according to COVID-19 prevention guidelines.)

Hearing your voices will definitely bring us more energy.

That's right. On that note, I'll share the theme of 2022 SBS Gayo Daejeon.

It's The Live: Shout Out.

"Shout out" here means the audience's cheer...

which gives us energy.

Yes. Just like respect and shout-out videos,

it's also a way to say "thank you..."

- and to express their gratitude. - Right.

And lastly, there's a literal meaning too.

All the artists use music to shout out their messages.

As you just heard from us,

our theme is about the messages from K-pop singers,

the fans' cheer, respect, gratitude, and so on.

The theme of 2022 SBS Gayo Daejeon is truly diverse.

And there is one more important part.

That's right. It's also called "The Live."

All the performances will be carried out live.

As these will be live performances,

I hope you can enjoy the lively part of the performances.

All right then. We will now begin...

our shout-out, 2022 SBS Gayo Daejeon.

The live...

- Shout out! - Shout out!

The name "Miyawaki Sakura" felt slightly heavy.

"You were an idol for more than ten years,"

"so why debut again?"

Becoming a singer was my dream.

Before I realized, I had nothing else left but ballet.

So I always had a sense of anxiety in my heart.

I had a dream about joining this team.

I didn't believe it.

It feels like a dream even now.

"I can only do this."

I don't want to become someone who is stuck in this mindset.

I want to show some big changes.

That was the performances...

of the newly debuted groups in 2022 who made new waves in K-pop.

- Including Yu Jin who is beside me, - Thank you.

new idols showed...

- exceptional results this year. - That's right.

- KEY, thank you so much. - You're welcome.

Can you think of other things besides K-pop...

that happened in 2022?

For me,

maybe because I'm filming a drama,

K-dramas and movies that won the Cannes...

or the Emmy Awards are memorable to me.

For me, it's the World Cup that ended recently.

Come to think of it, 2022 started with the Winter Olympics,

and it even held the World Cup.

It could be called the year of sports.

That's why...

in 2022 SBS Gayo Daejeon today,

we will have time to look back...

at K-pop, dramas, movies, and even sports...

that made you laugh and cry.

Firstly, we have K-pop Special.

That's right.

This short-form content received a lot of love globally this year.

It's K-pop Dance Challenge.

That's correct.

On top of Korean and global K-pop fans,

a lot of singers...

do a dance challenge.

But when I looked it up,

two of you didn't do much of the dance challenges.

Yes, because...

I dance every week one way or another.

You're right.

I don't think I did much either.

You shouldn't do that.

Since you're the MC of 2022 SBS Gayo Daejeon,

shouldn't you do it here?

- I prepared it. - Okay.

Really? I prepared the song.

Music start.

Everyone, make a round of applause!

I need to dance the part after this too.

Thank you.

Thank you so much, both of you.

It's nothing.

We did a bit of the IVE Challenge.

Yu Jin, do you know any challenges of ours?

Of course.

Now go, don't you know

There was "Gasoline" Challenge by KEY.

My candy sugar pop

There was "Candy Sugar Pop" Challenge by ASTRO.

- Gosh. - There were a lot...

of K-pop challenges this year.

- Thank you, Yu Jin. - It's nothing.

K-pop Dance Challenge Special...

that we enjoyed this year with fans worldwide.

Just for this time, I hope everyone here...

and those watching the show on TV enjoys themselves...

as if they are doing a challenge.

Then K-pop Dance Challenge Special. Shall we go?

The live...

- Shout out! - Shout out!
