The guys have been conducting
a drilling operation

To see if a large void or cavern
really could be inside there.

The plan was to drill laterally

From the road
into the base of the mesa.

And so far, nearly 300 feet in,

They've discovered
evidence of a void.

But the drill bit
has also been scraping up

Against a huge obstruction
that it can't penetrate.

And a bunch
of small metallic fragments

Have come out in the spoils.

Any chance this could be
coming off of your equipment?

There's no way
it would come out of the drill.

If bigelow had a cave
purposely covered up,

But given the rumors we've heard

About everything
from an underground base

that layer pretty easily.

We have this large object

coming out

this layer that we can't

Get the drill to come up
through.

- Really? He couldn't

that bit upwards

Because he kept encountering
this hard layer

What it was doing
was bumping up against that,

And it just kept kind
of skipping down the surface

And pushing him
further and further underground

Until it started to
come back up a little bit.

And it appears to be some type
of dome shaped hard surface.

- Yeah. This makes no sense,

He drilled to where
he put out 400 feet

Of drill pipe and still was
never able to make the turn up.

400 feet
into the side of the hill.

That's insane!

And I want to say here, too,

Aaron has been drilling
for 20-plus years.

He is recognized as one
of the very, very best

In his field.

I think that if anybody
could have got through this,

It would have been him.

So it's 400 feet long, uh,

Whatever this thick material is?

That's what it appears to be.

We were able to retrieve
a pretty significant quantity

Of metal material.

Of this stuff, and it was
all very uniformly wafer-thin.

This is really bizarre.

What in the world could this be?

If there really is
a 400-foot-long, dome-shaped

Metallic object
buried deep in the mesa,

About why skinwalker ranch
has been the center

Right when I got
back to skinwalker ranch,

We were all eager to see
just what the huge, dome-shaped

Object buried inside
the mesa could be.

So we brought out underground
visualization expert

To feed a specialized robotic
camera into the hole we drilled.

Oh, wow. So, this goes
right under the mesa?

- 400 feet that way.
- Wow.

When that bit got into the base
of the mesa there,

Which is about 80 feet,

The bit came up,
it hit something hard.

What we have is we've got some
dome-shaped hard feature

Under there that's dished out
like this.

Well, that's exciting.

Let's get the equipment
and we can set it up.

Hopefully, you can just
climb down,

- Stand in that to feed it in.

The robotics that we use

Are really designed
for confined spaces.

Great to use
in purposes like this.

So, we brought out a vt100,
which is a robot

With a ptz camera on it,
1080p readout.

It can be configured
in many different forms.

Today, we're using tracks,
just because we're navigating

Over different types of terrain.

Everything seems to be
working fine.

Uh, what we'll do is
we'll go ahead and,

I'll get down there
now and go ahead

- And put it in the hole.

We'll keep a visual

With all the stories
that we've heard of tunnels

And caverns and underground
bases here in the mesa,

I finally feel like we're

With this six-inch hole drilled
400 feet into the mountain,

Who knows what we would see

If we could
get this camera back there?

there's some evidence there

That could back up some of these

to explain how a hole

down into one of the crevices

They found in the mesa,

And they recorded clear video
of a metallic object

With strange lines
and different colors on it.

It definitely looks like

It's reflecting something
off of there.

So we wondered if someone
had purposely covered it up.

But now, seeing this drill hole
in the mesa

And this crevice up above
both getting inexplicably

Blocked up overnight
makes no logical sense.

Just what the hell
could be in this mesa,

And what is preventing us
from finding out?

By these means,
it's not gonna happen today.

That the guys drilled
out of the mesa.

So, we all gathered in
the command center to review it

And see what this huge

Dome-shaped object
might be made of.

The data that they gave us

From the elemental analysis
is really interesting.

On one side of the material,
there's, uh, tellurium

And on the other side of
the material there's europium.

Tellurium is
a semiconductor material

That is used in solar panels.

The europium, uh, it's been
experimentally measured

That under certain circumstances
is a superconductor.

The elements found in this metal

From deep inside the mesa

Has properties just
like those of a semiconductor

And a superconductor,
which are both used

In modern-day electronics

Like computer processors,
mri machines,

Electronic vehicles, radios,

And even smart phones.

But why is it here
on skinwalker ranch?

Now, what's interesting
is tellurium is

Is the second, uh...

Most rare element on the planet.

Same goes for europium.

It is actually
one of the most, uh,

Rare elements, uh,
on the planet, also.

are used in developing

we're looking at a structured
