There was five or six years where
I wasn't confident with my voice,

so it was getting to a point
where I was competent

and believing in myself.

I'm Naomi johns on, I'm 26, I'm from
Bristol and I'm a wedding singer.

Growing up in a musical household,

for me, was a little bit
intimidating

cos I knew my parents were
so good at it.

They met when they were young
and were in a band together.

I first realised I could sing

when I was about ten years old

and it was just from singing karaoke
at home with my sister.

We kind of kept it a secret
from my parents.

We did that for three
or four years at home,

didn't wanna tell our parents
cos we were too nervous.

It was only till I got
into the choir at school

and managed to do it and I got given
a solo really quickly.

That was the first time
my parents heard me sing.

There was this magic voice

we'd never heard before. It came
out of nowhere. We were delighted.

It really did sort of brighten
our day.

I think my mum and clad knew

that I was gonna be musical
from that very moment.

As a kid,
I was kind of an overweight,

not very confident child,
and growing up,

it really held me back
in doing the things I wanted.

I just knew I looked different
to everyone

and I was never confident enough
to actually be fully myself on stage

until, really, the past two years
where I've lost

the eight and a half stone, I think.

I'm now the most me that I've ever
been and I'm very proud of myself.

Probably the biggest thing
I've clone ever.

The high-pressure moment.

I'm feeling really nervous
about this audition

but also really confident and ready.

My name is Niamh Nolan, I'm 25,
and I am from Limerick in Ireland.

I live with my parents

and my three siblings
in the middle of the countryside.

There's a couple of cattle,

there's hens, there's a little
greenhouse, there's gardens.

It's a cliche Irish household but
we wouldn't have it any other way.

On Monday to Friday, I work
as a childcare assistant

in a toddler room. It is a bunch
of two to two-and-a-half-year-olds

who I adore
like they're my own children.

We paint, we splash in puddles,
we sing.

My usual would be
'Baa Baa Black Sheep'.

'Old MacDonald' is a favourite
of theirs as well.

It's really nice,
it's really rewarding.

So, I'm instilling the love of music
in them, I like to think, as well.

After I left school,

singing was definitely put
on the back burner,

but it was always there.

I'm just so used to singing in front
of the kids at work, like, it's...

of, like, seven two-year-olds
in front of me.

Last year, I decided to start
uploading little videos of singing

to social media to try and bring
back that passion I had for it.
