My name is Kique,
I'm 18 years old,

and I'm from Miami, Florida.

Being Cuban in Miami
is very cool.

The food is great,
a lot of fun people.

There's always something to do
in Miami.

Hearing that Camila Cabello
was a coach was really exciting.

Coming from the same places,
same upbringing, same roots,

it's really awesome seeing
somebody like that

on "The Voice."

When I'm not singing, something
I also really enjoy doing

is keeping
and collecting reptiles.

Um, what new reptiles
do you have this week?

We actually just got
some black dragons in.

Oh, cool.
Can I check them out?
Yeah.

Reptiles, to me, they're just
interesting to watch.

The way they move
and the way they explore

their environment is
so different than how we do it.

It's just something I've always
been interested in.

So, I am intimately familiar
with the reptile collection.

We started with one

and we ended up with
close to 30.

I had tortoises, snakes.

My favorite snake would
definitely have to be Salad.

He's a pastel
banana ball python.

So sometimes I like to just
take him out, make some music,

and he just chills there.

Maybe that means he likes it.

Growing up in Miami,
I always knew I loved music

and I was always a singer.

Like, it was always what I did.

My freshman year of high school,
I went into this

all boys Catholic school.

Being bisexual, being someone
who didn't play sports,

who wasn't, like,
the typical jock,

it was different for me,
it was difficult at first.

And then the music teacher
reached out to me

and asked me
to join the jazz band,

and every minute
after that was incredible.

I try to be different.

I don't want to fit the mold
in everything I do

from the music
to just who I am as a person.

I don't want to be
what you'd expect me to be.

across the stage at graduation,

West Chester, Pennsylvania.

I have been singing for
as long as I can remember,

but I've always had
a backup plan.

As much as I wanted to
pursue music,

I took the safe route.

In my late 20s, I thought
I had it all figured out.

I had a great life, a great job,

a cat and a dog
that I loved, and, um...

[ Exhales ] On March 30...

2015, that all --

Ooh, sorry.

I had a house fire.

I lost my cat and my dog,

all of my belongings.

I hope to never hear
the pain in her voice

that I heard,
because it was...

I've never heard
anything like that.

I'm sorry.

So I found myself homeless.

Lived in a hotel for a while.

Overcoming the trauma
took a few years.

I was a bit lost.

But in early 2019,
something just changed.

I realized I couldn't
keep living that way,

and I really just focused
on things that made me happy.

I started singing more.

I started putting
more covers out online

and ultimately started a band.

I met my fiancé.

We're getting married
in a few weeks.

No backing out now.

Our first dance is actually

when I was 11, and then I was on
"The Voice Kids" Colombia

when I was like 14 years old.

I like to think of them
as like stepping stones

to finally being on "The Voice."

My name is Manu.
I'm 18 years old.

I'm from Howell, New Jersey,
but my parents are Colombian.

In 2003, my parents,
they came to America.

They wanted me
to have the best life ever.

When they first arrived, they
didn't know any English at all.

So all they could really do
was janitorial jobs.

So they would clean schools,
they would clean banks,

they would work
entire night shifts.

[ Voice breaking ]
I don't want to get emotional,

but very thankful for them.

Um, I didn't know what was going
on when I was little,

but as I grew older, you know,

and they told me
all the experiences

that we went through,
I gave them a huge hug

because I had no idea.

I came to this country
18 years ago,

and seeing her sitting here
like a star,

everything that I left behind
was for a reason,

and it's here.

So I'm so happy.

I'm Kasey.

So we are sisters.

We're also best friends.

We get asked a lot
where we came up with

the name The Marilynds.

We're both from
the state of Maryland,

spelled differently.

We wanted
to pick something

a little different,
more feminine.

Also, we were both Miss Maryland
at different points.

I was
Miss Maryland 2010.

And I was
Miss Maryland 2013.

The pageants gave us both an
opportunity to perform at venues

that we wouldn't otherwise
have a chance to perform at.

One of my favorites was
the Special Olympics,

and, really, that, for me,
was what it was all about.

Honestly, it was some of the
most fulfilling opportunities

that we've ever had.

We've been performing together
our entire lives.

We were rocking out
since we were little.

Our very first roles together,
I would say on a big stage,

The Marilynds

as a duo
about 10 years ago,

has led us to this moment

For our blind audition,

beautiful written-in harmonies

that we feel like, as sisters,
it marries up so beautifully.

Stepping onstage at "The Voice,"
it's crazy,

because, I mean, I'm only 17.

My name is Daysia Reneau, and
I'm from Leavenworth, Kansas.

My mom was a single mom,
and I have a fraternal twin.

Growing up with my mom,
she was amazing.

You know, she had her own
taxi company,

very hard-working woman.

Every night,
she would tuck us in.

And every birthday
with my twin sister,

she would always have two cakes

just to make us both
feel special.

We did have those moments
when we were in the car,

and we had "I Will Always
Love You" by Whitney Houston.

She would put that on, and we'd
roll down all the windows

and blast it and, you know,
just start singing along.

And it was -- it was --
it was nice.

On April 22, 2017,
my sister woke me up,

and I was just, like, thinking,
"Where's my mom?" you know?

My grandmother came over to me,
and she sat us both down

and she said, "Your mother
was hit this morning

by her boyfriend's car.

She passed away."

I didn't believe it. I was 12.

Not having my mom
tuck me in at night

or saying I love you,

you don't ever think something
like that's gonna happen to you

until it does.

My aunt called, and she said,

"Do you want to move in
with us?"

Maybe about a month later,
we moved to Leavenworth, Kansas,

and my sister,
aunt, uncle, and I,

we all grew to become
a really nice family.

With the loss of my mother,

my new way of coping
is through music.

My uncle, he owns a jazz lounge
that I sing at every weekend.

I never sang at first.

That's when my uncle stepped in,
and he was like,

you know, "You have a gift.
Please share it."

I am definitely Daysia's
biggest supporter,

and I am so proud
of her.

You know, she's like
a daughter to me.

And it's just really touching to
hear her sing the way she sings.

Losing my mom
was extremely hard.

I started singing
when I was about 2 or 3.

When I was 11 years old, we were
going to a football game,

And I didn't know this,

My mom, she took a video of me
singing the song

and posted it on Facebook.

And then somehow
Carrie Underwood saw it

and tweeted,
"Watch out for this girl."

I was, like, freaking out.

Like, I was running around
my house like, "Oh, my God.

Carrie Underwood just saw
my video.

Oh, my gosh."

But, yeah,
it was pretty crazy at first.

My family has
deep country roots.

My great-grandpa was able to
record with Hank Williams Sr.,

so to hear that he got to
work with this amazing person,

it really influenced me that
maybe I can do the same thing,

I wanted to go on "The Voice"

is to work with
the amazing coaches like Blake.

I mean, he's a country legend.

I've been working as a preschool
teacher for about a year.

The kids know me
as Miss Manasseh.

They ask me to sing for them
all the time.

One thing that is important
to me is to instill self-worth,

because that is something that
I struggled with growing up.

As a child, I was insecure.

I did not have my father
in my life,

so it was very hard
trying to find my worth.

I remember that it was times
where I would literally, like,

envision myself
being someone else

that could appear more,
um, accepted.

That would always cause her
to have a, like, shutdown.

She had a rough time.

When I started singing,
I found my identity in it.

Singing has always been
our getaway, you know?

Bodie: The stigma behind
neck tattoos

is usually we're mean,
we're rough.

I just think that's so funny
'cause I'm a dad of three.

I'm Bodie,
I'm 29 years old,

and I'm from
Ladera Ranch, California.

My dad was a touring bass player
in a rock band.

He played guitar.
He sang. My mom sang.

Straight out of the womb,
I was --

I was singing,
it seemed like.

But it wasn't really until
my mom was a children's pastor

that I started
to lead worship.

And, really, ever since then,
I haven't stopped.

Multiple times a week --
churches, venues, bars,

you name it, I've been
singing and performing.

When I was 15,
I was diagnosed with alopecia.

Then my life changed.

Alopecia is an autoimmune
disease where your immune system

actually attacks
your hair follicles.

My hair began to fall out,
then my eyebrows, my eyelashes

to the point where
I had literally no hair at all.

That was really
when I first experienced

fairly severe anxiety
and depression,

seeing my hair clog up my drain
in my shower every morning,

it was really scary.

Being able to look to music

and use that as kind of
a therapeutic place for me

was really crucial
for that time of my life.

Towards the end
of my high-school career,

my hair started growing back.

But then recently,
it started growing in white.

But I like the way it looks.
It's still really thin on top.

I can't really rock
the no-beanie yet,

but hopefully maybe my hair
will come back in its fullness

but stay white
'cause I really dig it.

I met my wife
freshman year of college.

Started dating and got married
four years later.

Now we have three kids.

The more kids we have,
it's hard for me to justify

making time
to pursue this dream

that once seemed to be
the number-one priority,

and now it's kind of become
on the back burner.

I'm so thankful
that my wife's been

just so excited for me
and such a supporter of it

through this process.

I am so proud and so excited
that he's here.

It's just an awesome opportunity
for people to be able

to see how talented
he is.

I love my dad's voice,
and I love when he sings to me.
