foot, the killer tied a
long length to the key,

which we found in the lock.

He threads one loop,

From the inside, he then loops

the other end around the
spindle of the record player.

Now he comes out of the room,

and closes and locks
the door carefully,

with his own key, keeping
the threads out of the way.

Then he removes his key,

and starts to pull
on the thread,

maneuvering the key
inside, towards the lock.

So he manages to get the
key in the lock, then what?

We've still got all
this thread everywhere.

Yeah, but as soon as
the key is in place,

he sets fire to the thread.

How could he be sure it
wouldn't burn halfway

and then go out?

Well because it's soaked
in some kind

of accelerant, probably
ordinary lighter fluid.
