Since long ago, there existed people who battled against the world's crisis.

Bonding with monsters to ease the earth's anger, they were called the Dragon Callers.

Dragon Callers serve as the bridge between people, nature, and monsters.

When the power of the world's Drops is disturbed,

the Dragon Callers will rise with their allies, their monsters.

We are Discover new fate

We are Discover new fate

So how do you see it?

Trying to keep balance in our abnormal days, we're fading.

Given too much hope and land,

we're like a fish drowning in water.

Light up the flames that even the deep sea can't extinguish, and jump into morality.

The doubt doesn't show on the water surface.

It isn't reflecting the doubt.

In my hand is the sun that rose and stayed at the top, burning down the shadows.

Let's sing it.

We are not cowards that won't make a move.

We are challengers to the death, seeing how far we can go.

We are OK even to be laughed at by the haters.

We are going to let them have it.

Let's go.

We are almost up; they're calling our names.

We are going to be the last one laughing.

We are going to have a future even if we lose everything.

We are.

Discover new fate.

"Watch this in a well-lit room and don't sit too close to the TV, tama!"

The deep blue sea, the clear blue sky...

Man, if I stayed at a place like this for too long...

I might start believing in love agai--

It's dangerous if you're not paying attention, tama. Be careful, tama.

It's you that should be more careful!

Tiger, play beach volleyball with us.

I'm not gonna play with kids.

Why don't you ask Charo...

Don't do it!

Something good will come by if you just live!

For example, I got carried away by the beautiful weather, talking about love!

I still haven't given up my hope yet...

Even if she's probably gonna say no again!

I'm starting to feel really sorry for you.

Right? Just look at me.

Don't you feel like you can live on?

He's using his pain to convince Charo, tama. So touching, tama.

Um, I plan on living anyway, though.

But you were looking at the sea all depressed-looking!

That was a face of a jumper!

I may have been depressed, but I'm not going to jump.

Charo, are you worried about the Wood City?

The Ancient of Wood isn't doing well, and Libria's in a serious trouble!

I wonder what she meant by "serious trouble"?

Maybe it could be that...

No, this could be happening!

Charo, snap out of it!

Come back, tama!

"Wood City Libria"

The air is so fresh, tama.

It doesn't look like they're in serious trouble.

Yup.

You're right.

Hm?

Tama?

What's going on?

They're rooting for the next Ancient-to-be.

The Ancient-to-be?

What about the current Ancient, Master Tinbell?!

They said he's OK for now,

but when he fell ill, he announced he's stepping down as the Ancient.

Then he named two of his favorite disciples as candidates.

Oh, speak of the devil.

He's one of the candidate, Klein.

When I become the Ancient, I promise to put the people before myself,

and devote myself to Libria.

What a snob. Who is he?

He's one of Master Tinbell's pupils.

He's also one of the best Dragon Callers in Libria.

The general prediction is that the next Ancient will most likely be Klein.

What kind of a person is the other candidate?

Rumor has it he's a human Dragon Caller who's as good as Klein, a Dragonoid.

But, I don't actually know about Torlie's power.

Mr. Torlie?!

Charo, do you know him?

He saved my life.

Wow, it's so pretty!

What is?

The Drops, of course!

See!

Can't you see them, Charo?

O-Of course I can!

Wow, pretty!

At the time, I was busy living a lie.

I was afraid of setting myself off from my friends.

But the lie never held up for long.

Go away! You'll only get in our way if you can't see Drops!

C-Come on then!

He protected me, and not once did he think of himself.

He must've been scared too, but he didn't lose hope to the end.

Seeing Mr. Torlie then, I started dreaming about becoming a Dragon Caller!

But everybody laughed at me.

They said that if I can't even see Drops,

then my dream of becoming a Dragon Caller would never come true.

I'm sure you'll be able to see Drops!

As long as you don't give up, there's still a chance!

If you don't give up, Charo, then one day your dream will come true!

Mr. Torlie...

Mr. Torlie is my hero.

I wish to be just like him one day.

Oh, it's a bad habit of mine to dream so big.

Charo...

I'll take you to the library.

I want you guys to meet Mr. Torlie, too.

The library? Isn't he a Dragon Caller?

Mr. Torlie is also an archaeologist, studying Dragoza Island.

He usually stays holed up at the library for his research.

Tell Torlie to stop staying in so much and to get out more.

Oh, hey now!

T-That's not food...

It's yummy, tama. I want seconds, tama.

Well I'll be darned!

Nothing has changed!

Enju!

That tickles.

You can hardly see it anymore.

Where's Mr. Torlie?

Ow, ow, ow...

Mr. Torlie!

Charo?! Why are you--

A-Are you OK?

I'm, fine, I'm fine. Ow, ow, ow...

This guy's the candidate for the Ancient?

Seriously?

"Ow, ow, ow," tama.

I'm a little relieved that you haven't changed a bit, Mr. Torlie.

People around me are making it a big deal, but I'm the same old me.

I was surprised to hear you were one of the candidates at first,

but the way you put yourself in front of others...

You'll be the perfect Ancient, bringing people and monsters together.

I'm not fit to be an Ancient...

But some people are rooting for someone like me.

Oh, yeah! It's faint, but I can see Drops now!

Is that so, Charo?!

What you said was right.

If I don't give up, then one day my dream will come true.

I've cherished those words.

Tama?

Tama?

Are you OK?!

I got it.

What was that?

The Ancient's power is weakening, and so is the seal for this monster.

What?

But do not worry.

The new Ancient doesn't look like it, but he's reliable in times of crisis.

You just gotta light a little fire under him.

What did he mean?

Not sure.

Tama?

What's with the commotion?

What's going on?

Master Tinbell has an important announcement.

An important announcement?

Mr. Torlie...

Hey, that old man...

Do you know Master Tinbell?

Master Tinbell?

What?! That's the Ancient of Wood?!

We will be holding a battle to decide the next Ancient.

The winner of this battle shall be the official successor.

Klein's going to win for sure.

The battle is a waste of time.

That isn't true.

Torlie has impressive potential and skill as a Dragon Caller.

I'm actually honored to have the opportunity to fight him.

I hope this won't be like the last time.

Although, you've become stronger since then, so I'm sure you'll do fine.

Let's have this battle, fair and square.

I'm sure you can win, Mr. Torlie!

As long as you can give it your best!

OK, I'll do everything I can! I won't fail you, Charo!

That's the attitude!

I've saved you guys front seats.

Thanks!

So thoughtful, tama.

He's still a snob!

Did you change your hair?

It looks awful, tama.

The more I look, the more it's annoying, tama!

It took me two hours to do my hair!

You don't even have hair, Tamazo!

So, how's the Wood City?

Garnet!

I wanted to come with you, but I had important business to take care of.

You mean going to the spa!

Thanks to that, I've become besties with Master Eldora.

Besides, Wood City seems a little lame.

I probably won't meet anyone interesting.

Who's the handsome?!

Huh? A candidate for Libria's Ancient.

He's so my type! And a promising future as the candidate for the Ancient?!

Hold on, I'll be right there!

Hey, Garnet? Where do you think you're going?

"Boys Before Girls, That's Me"

You...!

"Sorry For Being a Traitor"

So, yeah, sorry!

You'll do fine! You worked so hard for this day!

R-Right.

Relax, Mr. Torlie!

Relax, relax...

Relax, relax...

He's even got me nervous.

He's frozen solid, tama.

Y-Yup.

You'll only get one shot at this battle.

Put your Dragon Caller pride on the line for this fight.

You should really be focusing.

So you won't make a mistake like you did that day.

Relax, Torlie.

I'm sure you can bring out your true strength.

Ah, an advanced wood-element Soul Armor, huh?

That's a Soul Armor?!

How fashionable, tama. I want it in a different color, tama.

Why do they have the same Armor on?

So they can keep their Leader Skills the same.

Let the battle begin!

Release!

Release!

I got you now!

Stop! The first half is over!

It'll be fine! I'm sure you can catch-up!

You can turn it around with your killer move!

I can't...

Huh?

This was impossible from the beginning.

There's no way I'm fit to be an Ancient.

Y-You're giving up?

But you told me that as long as you don't give up, there's still...

Charo...

As long as you don't give up, there's still a chance!

If you don't give up, Charo, then one day your dream will come true.

Is that...?

It's him again!

He looks creepy, tama!

Could it be...?

The Ancient's power is weakening, and so is the seal for this monster.

Oh, no! We have to stop him!

Huh?!

Charo, stop!

So, the seal finally broke...

Second half, start!

Looks like I'll be the new Ancient.

Charo! Hold on, Charo!

So, you really can't chase after a dream that's too big for you.

Charo...

Even if you don't want to give up your dream, there comes a time when--

I won't let you through!

Tama!

Seriously?!

Torlie, I'm going to evacuate everyone. I'll leave him to you!

This way, everyone!

He ran!

His looks are the only thing good about him, tama!

I'll handle this.

Master Tinbell!

Charo!

Y-You'll have to go through me!

Mr. Torlie!

Torlie...

There aren't any Wood Drops?

If I use the underground water...

Fortoytops! Guard Stance... Wood!

Highlander! Attack Stance... Wood!

Mr. Torlie!

Wow, that is awesome!

He's the bravest of men!

Give it your best, tama!

I'm rooting for you!

Please win!

Giga Woodsie! Woodsie Attack!

Giga Woodsies can triple the balance type's attack powers for a short duration.

Mr. Torlie, you won!

You saved this city, Mr. Torlie!

I knew you were my hero!

Torlie!

Torlie! Torlie! Torlie!

I'm glad you didn't give up. I believed in you, that you would rise up.

Master Tinbell...

You give more care to others than to yourself,

that makes you a worthy Ancient, who understands both Dragonoids and humans.

You, Torlie, are the next generation of the Ancients.

Master Tinbell...

Your kind heart is your biggest strength.

Polish your pure heart and shed light to Libria's future.

I will.

Bless the future of Libria with happiness!

Bless the new Ancient, Master Torlie!

Long live Master Torlie!

I decided not to give up my dream.

As long as you don't give up, there's still a chance.

One day, I'll be like Mr. Torlie...

Dream, huh?

I'm home!

Charo!

Welcome home!

I brought my friends with me.

--Hello! --Hello!

Hello, tama!

Nice to meet you. Thanks for taking care of Charo.

No problem, tama. I take care of all these guys, tama.

Yeah, you're always taking care of... Wait a minute!

"Next on Puzzle & Dragons X"

Mr. Torlie seems to be down,

even though he was picked as the Ancient of Wood.

And something is wrong in the woods, too.

Next, "The New Ancient."

I wish I can be of help.
