Original subtitles

1

I previously showed you the toll don't math and how it was accessed via the docked Union addresses which

2

you can see here in the you L bar.

3

You can think of a hidden service if you're not aware as a relay that also offers a web service or other

4

type internet service that is accessible via the dot on you RL The real IP address is hidden behind

5

a tor circuit in order to run a hidden service you need to set up toll as normal.

6

Install a web server or whatever service it is that you want to present.

7

Add a couple of lines to your talk file.

8

As we have discussed Here's an example here.

9

Tor will generate a new public private key pad for your hidden service which is written into a file

10

called private school key.

11

The other file it all creates is called hostname.

12

This contains a short summary of the public key and is the name of the dot on your address like this

13

one that you see here.

14

And of course if you want to run a hidden service if you want to run a web server etc. you need to make

15

sure that it is securely hardened because if it is not it could definitely leak the real IP address

16

which makes it pointless.

17

As I said Unix could be used to set up a hidden service and in fact this link here is from Hynix on

18

how to set it up.

19

If your hidden service is running on a UNIX workstation because it goes through the gateway it's very

20

difficult for attacker or malware to tunnel out and work out what the real IP address of that workstation

21

is.

22

If you're wondering about the content of the dot net this is one story that I've seen.

23

Shows the following types of sites and or content that is on the Tor docked at.

24

This is taught to web HIDDINS services can also be accessed from a standard web browser without client

25

side connection to the Tor network using services like taught to web wherever you see a few RL like

26

this one.

27

You just need to replace the Daut union with a dot on your dot to the Onion dot city on your cab etc.

28

.

29

FARGHER here.

30

Here's an example vetted Union dot TO and this is taking me to the hidden Wiki without going over the

31

Tor network.

32

But note Tor to web only protects the publishers not the readers.

33

So this is not a anonymous or private or anything way of getting to these services.

34

It's just a way of getting to them but without any form of privacy and anonymity
