All language subtitles for 2. The Upload Process

Hi, guys, welcome back.

So in this video, we are finally going to upload our work and put into play everything that we learned

in our previous videos.

So in this area, once you log into your Amazon account, just go to bookshelf, click on paperback,

and this is where all the magic happens.

So our book title, you have to be very specific.

It has to match the exact text that you put on your book.

Otherwise, during the review process, Amazon will just return the book to you and it'll just waste

your time.

So you better get it right from the get go.

So we put our title Best Mom in the World Journal.

And in the subtitle, here's where you can put some of the key words that we were able to get earlier,

for example, Simple Lines Journal for Women.

I also like to put gifts for mothers and gifts for moms.

You have to remember that we are in the gifting space.

We are in the gifting nesh people who go to Amazon one to look for gifts for their loved ones.

So what do they type in the search bar?

Usually they'll type gifts for dad's gifts, for mom's gifts for brothers, et cetera.

So you want to be easily found.

And this is one of my hacks to be easily found.

Now, once you scroll down, so for the author section, you can type in any name you want.

So let's go with Koru Publishing.

And you can put in contributor's if you do have one, but if you don't, you can leave it blank in the

description area.

That's where you go back to the code that you were able to copy and paste it here.

When I own the copyright and hold necessary publishing rights and in the keywords section.

This is where you put in all the words that we got during our research earlier.

So in this keyword section, you are able to choose up to seven key words that best describe your book.

But take note that there are certain rules that you have to comply with.

I'll attach a document for you to see all those rules to this video.

But in this keyword section, let's go back to our sticky notes and copy paste all this.

There you have it, you can also add some more words, what I like to do is I also add more phrases

like Christmas gift for mothers.

And then since I have more space, I'll also put something like.

Stocking stuffer, because you never know, you can hand this notebook as a Christmas gift.

Can also put your gifts for aunt.

If for sister, OK, and then in the categories area.

You can go to non-fiction since it is a non-fiction book and go to family and relationships and.

I choose marriage and long term relationships.

We can also do parenting, but motherhood.

Remember, you can choose up to two categories.

And does this book contain language or images inappropriate for children under 18?

No.

And now we are here on the paperback content area.

I don't have an Esbjorn, so I always click on Mean ISBN.

Let's go with black and white A. I don't choose a publication date since it's an optional section,

so I'll just leave it blank.

I always choose Bleed because it's just my safest choice.

Paperback cover finish.

Let's go with glossy.

Let's go with our final journal manuscript.

OK, once we upload our manuscript and our cover file, you will see a green check in both sections

and click on Launch Preview for.

This may take a while, depending on the size of your book.

OK, so here is our journal, Prevue.

And as you can see in the left side, it said print reviewer didn't find any issues.

So that means our book is good to go.

So just click on Approve and.

You will see here in the summary area, your printing cost will amount to two dollars and 17 cents.

So this is how much it will cost Amazon to manufacture your book.

Just a tip to keep your printing costs low, try to keep your page count within 110 to 120 pages so

the manufacturing cost won't amount to so much.

Then click on Save and continue.

Now here comes the fun part in the territories area.

I always choose all territories because you never know who will pick up your book and into pricing and

royalty section.

I always make it a point to make at least a two dollar profit.

So here, Amazon will collect three dollars and sixty two cents as they're cut.

So you have to price it above that.

So let's go with six.

Point ninety nine, wrap it around the two dollars.

Now, what is expanded distribution, expand the distribution is basically giving Amazon the right to

manufacture your book at a very low cost, but to have a lot of copies manufactured for a very low price.

So here, for example, if they were to distribute their books to bookstores, my royalty would only

amount to sixty three cents.

I always choose, yes, to expand the distribution because every cent counts.

And you can also choose to modify your price in other marketplaces for Amazon, UK, Amazon, Denmark,

Amazon, France, etc..

And then now you're ready to publish your book.

And there you have it, your book is now ready for approval, you just have to wait for an e-mail from

Amazon telling you that your book has approved and is now live on the Amazon website.
