Hotel King

Year 1991

Please help us, sir.

Hyung, I'm cold.

Hold on a bit.

It's okay.

Just wait here.

Please! Please! Change, please!

Change, please! Please! Please!

Move!

Change, please!

Let's go, let's go.

Is that it?

Sorry.

Huh, sorry?

Can't believe this. Get out of here.

Let's go, you two. Hurry up!

Is that it? That's it?

Come here!

Get out of the way!

Don't touch him.

Break that...

Hyung!

Hyung!

Hyung! - Ji Won!

Hyung! Jayden hyung!

Jayden hyung!

Ji Won!

Jayden hyung! Hyung!

Ji Won!

Ji Won!

Ji Won...

Ji Won...

Ji Won...

Don't! Don't.

You're awake.

I must have... died.

Died?

Is this place...

heaven?

Heaven?

That's right.

You're in heaven.

Let go of me! Who are you guys?! Let go of me!

Let me go! Let go!

Right now,

people are trying to find you, for killing the boss.

The police and his buddies

are probably on a desperate search.

The moment you step out of this room,

you...

will either go to jail, or...

go back to the hell you were in.

No way. It wasn't my fault.

That bastard got what he deserved!

He deserved to die!

Jayden,

it's not your fault.

The mistake was made by your father, who threw you, a precious son, away like trash.

Ah Seong Won.

Korea's best hotel, Ciel Group's Chairman...

That man...

is your father.

Your father killed the woman I loved.

As if that wasn't enough,

he was afraid of your existence in this world, so...

he threw you away in a pile of trash.

He wears the mask of a sheep, but...

he's much more menacing and evil than the boss you killed.

That man...

is your father.

Jayden, you have a choice.

Either you go back to the pile of trash, or...

you take my hand, and...

live in this extravagant and beautiful kingdom.

live in this extravagant and beautiful kingdom.

I'll make you a promise.

I will make you into the best, and...

I'll put you in the king's seat.

At age 11, the first hotel I saw... was heaven.

At that place on that day, Jayden died, and...

I was reborn as Cha Jae Wan.

It's good.

The ones on this side, all of them.

Please wipe the glasses once more.

Yes, I understand.

As you see, by installing a glass ceiling that opens and closes,

it could transform into a hot spring,

or an outdoor swimming pool.

We're the only place in Korea, no matter what the season,

that's able to provide our guests with performances and swimming pool services.

Recently you have refused the offer of the Swiss Hotel "Empire", a hotel that employees dream of worldwide.

Why did you refuse this offer?

It means nothing to me if it is already at its maximum.

Making the most out of where I am now

is my goal, and it is where the future of Ciel is headed.

Let's continue our tour.

There was a lot of talk over whether or not it was going to happen, but in the end, he did it.

That's why everybody calls him the Hotel Monster.

I'll do this, so you go play.

A man values friendship and loyalty.

Let's hurry up and finish this, then go together.

Okay.

Oh, Chairman!

Hello, Chairman.

Hello, Chairman.

My name is Go San. Captain Go, sir.

Yes..

Captain Go.

The wind is very cool today.

You might catch a cold, Chairman.

No, no. Are you okay?

Chairman, I'll escort you to the Chairman's office.

How did you know that I was going to the Chairman's office?

Have you been following me all this time?

N...No..

The direction you were headed in... points to the Chairman's office.

I'm sorry if I was rude.

No...

I.. I made a mistake.

Do your work.

I feel so bad.

He used to be so clear-minded.

He has gotten worse.

I'll see you later.

I'll see you in the evening. - The facilities are amazing!

I'll see you in the evening.

There is a saying that true greatness

lies in one's ability to take one more step forward from one's past.

I, Ah Seong Won,

will make Ciel into the greatest hotel

that can surpass the boundaries of Asia and enter the world market.

I proudly make this promise in front of you.

You ungrateful bastard.

Do you know how much I trusted you?

How dare you...

try to stab me from the back?!

You bastard..

You intentionally approached me.

A year ago, when you saved me,

the United States, Singapore,

refusing all those hotels and taking my hand!

From the beginning,

you planned it all along.

Right?

Yes.

Why... Why would you?

I...

needed to meet you.

What?

You threw away my poor mother

and me, when I was a newborn.

To see you, who was living seemingly well despite what you did,

I tried my hardest to get here,

Father.

Cha Jae Wan...

Baek Mi Yeon!

You remember.

Who are you?

Who are you?

Baek Mi Yeon, the woman who pitifully died after giving birth to your son,

that's... my mother's name!

No...

That can't be.

Mi Yeon didn't die because of me.

And also, you aren't my son.

You aren't my son!

Accept it!

My mother and I...

were thrown away like trash because you chased after success.

Accept it!

That way...

I'll live.

That way...

No!

You... aren't my son.

You aren't my son. You aren't!

I'll give you time.

I'll be back after the open party.

If you don't accept it by then,

I'll show myself to the world as your son, and the Chairman of Ciel Hotel...

will become a murderer.

I'm sorry... Baby..

I'm sorry... My baby..

Put your hands up!

Put your, put your hands up!

Are you having fun?

Yeah!

Are you having fun? -Yeah!

Okay, should I sing one more song?

Yes, yes, yo!

When we start the count down, the ceiling will open up.

Should we all scream together?

Yes, yes y'all

3! - 3!

2! - 2!

1! -1!

Ah Seong Won

This is cheating...

I didn't hear anything from him...

Get up...

I said get up!

You can't get through.

What happened?

What happened?

What happened?

What happened? - Did he really pass away?!

Chairman!

What in the world is going on?

Captain Go?

He was taken to Myeongin University Hospital.

Whenever I see a feral cat,

I'm put in a bad mood for some reason.

Fooling people's eyes, carefully sneaking around,

they're suited for rummaging through trash.

You...

didn't trust me!

Did you think Chairman Ah

would kneel down and apologize if you revealed that you were his son?

Yes.

I didn't know that he would try to avoid me by risking his life.

That's.. your father.

Soon,

that girl will be coming.

Your sister, Ah Mo Ne.

Different from you, she was raised preciously in a crib.

The estate has already been handed over to her, including hotel shares.

There's no way...

you're thinking of also handing over the hotel, right?

I won't let anyone take anything from me now.

Whoever that is.

Good..

You're a good boy.

My Jayden.

This is a precious watch that your grandfather passed onto your father.

Take good care of it.

Now, the owner of this watch is you.

You aren't my son.

You aren't my son! You aren't !

Was acknowledging me as your son, worse than death?

I'll show you.

In this breathtaking castle that you have built,

how far up I go.

The death of hotel magnate, Chairman Ah Seong Won,

was revealed that it was due to depression.

Though Chairman Ah seemed to be bold and outgoing...

The chairman of Ciel died. - Really? Why?

Apparently, he committed suicide yesterday.

He committed suicide? -Yeah. Here.

What is this?

Yes, this is Hotel Ciel.

Oh, cancelling your reservation? I will help you right away.

Will you tell me the dates and room number of your reservation?

Give me a refund right now!

I couldn't sleep because I thought a ghost would come out!

I will do my best to give you a refund after discussing it with the General Manager.

No Ah.

Please do it quickly.

You're going to cancel?

Yes, I understand, Customer. Have a nice day.

Cancelling again?

For the past few days, there are 34 cancellations made.

Yes, this is Hotel Ciel?

Hello, Customer.

Yes, you're going to cancel?

My friend...

This person,

we've been friends for 50 years.

How could you...

How could you be so cruel?

If you were going through a hard time, you should have told me.

How am I supposed to live, left behind like this?

Well...

Let's go back now, I don't think she's coming.

-She'll come. -She's an immature kid

that doesn't even show up at her father's funeral.

How could we entrust CIEL to a person like that? The future seems bleak.

She's Chairman Ah's only blood related family.

You should choose your words carefully.

Director Yoon, it doesn't look good if you to stand in line

this early on.

Stop it, both of you.

How could you say such improper things,

at a place like this!

I'm sorry, Vice-Chairman.

You people... that child who doesn't even know how this world works,

whether or not she is hurt,

aren't you worried?

You're already fighting for the position?

When I go to the next world,

how will I look at my friend's face... you people.

Leave it.

Wow, so much snow falling.

It must be cold for the Chairman. It breaks my heart.

Are you sure you don't have to go to the funeral procession?

Yes.

I feel so bad. I'm perfect in every other way but I'm just weak when it comes to driving.

Yes.

General manager, you don't deal with lip services, jokes, and nonsenses, right?

Yes.

This is my sincerity and truth,

When the two pillars of Ciel, the General manager and I, the manager of the guest rooms are speaking,

how could a client of 10 years just reject us right away because the Chairman is no longer...

-It could happen. -Yes, it could happen. That's why we should be on our toes.

Yes, okay.

Since the mood is nice, why don't we turn on the music?

Because of the heavy storm warnings for two days in Youngdong in Gwangwon area,

due to the cancellation of the flights, there are some hundred Chinese people

at the airport, unable to return home.

There will be about 50 cm of heavy snow in Youngdong in Gwangwon area...

Oh... you scared...

Why are you like this all of a sudden?

Get 3 tour busses to the airport right now!

If you offer to increase the price up to 3 times, then they'll show up, whether it's on a snowy or a beachfront road!

Why a bus?

We're going to get the customers.

Huh?

This isn't right!

Are you angry?!

My 'Role Model' !! Just as our Chairman I'd like to be a warm hearted 'Hotel Realist'(owner)!

To all that has visited Ciel(hotel)...

It's been 137 hours and 8 minutes.

It's not your fault.

I should've followed Chairman that day.

-If I had... -Even if you did, you couldn't have stopped it from happening.

We can only pray that he's in a better place now.

Take that ribbon off now.

The Regional Director has held in a lot by only giving you a warning for a discipline.

I didn't send him yet.

Until, I'm able to let go of that person from my heart...

Can't I miss him in my memory?!

It's an emergency. Get changed again. Quickly, quickly.

Hey, hey, follow me!

Please get in line. We'll be checking you in order.

Stay in line for check in.

What happened?

Who am I? I'm Jang Ho Il, the manager on duty.

That's the end!

Hello and welcome. What sort of a room do you want?

4:15 PM. I'm going to start checking them in.

Welcome.

They were outside in the cold weather.

Food manager, please be ready for tea at the same time they go in their rooms.

While they're staying here, movie theater and the spa are all free of service.

Yes.

Everyone... Come to your senses and please be diligent at regularizing your work.

Bear in mind that to us,

nothing has happened.

I too wish that this sort of a thing hadn't happened.

But it's something that happened already. Please allow me act with condolence.

Please.

People aren't staying still because they're not as sad as you, Sun Woo Hyun.

If you're planning on inconveniencing the guests because of your personal feelings, please leave immediately.

I'm not inconveniencing them.

Do I have to tell you twice?

No.

Work hard.

Inchon Seaport?

Yes. Work hard.

It's too quiet.

The industry is observing the issue of, who will indeed be the next CEO of

CIEL, the largest hotel in Asia that opened in Gwangwondo, which has been taking a leap in the hotel industry worldwide.

Currently, the strong contender, Ah Mo Ne, is

the deceased Chairman Ah Seong Won's only daughter, known as the Korea's Paris Hilton since she was young...

Forget it.

♫I love you, baby. And if it's quite alright I need you baby. ♫

I'm going to die.

Hey, girl.

We'll be in Korea in an hour.

I know.

You're not a Muslim, right?

It looks like you are being chased.

Come with me

if you don't have anywhere to go in Korea.

I'll let you sleep at my house.

Get the f*** off.

If you don't want to become fish food.

Understand?

Damn it...

the sky is so damn pretty.

Hey, you.

Who are you? What are you doing?

-What the? -What are you doing?

Hey... come over!

Hey... come over here!

Stop! What the heck is this?

Why are you making us work so hard!

She's over there!

Hey! Stop right there!

Hey! Stop over there!

Ciel M.N Baek

Don't eat during your work hours.

Ah, really. I thought it was a ghost or something!

Customer, you touched me.

I'm going to...!

You first wore a short skirt and shook your butt,

saying "touch me."

When did I say so?

You told me to change your sheet, so I was

and then you just touched my leg without permission.

This wench.

Talk with me.

What is with you?

Call the General Manager. How do they train you here?

What the... ?

Frowning in front of a customer like that...

Are you trying to scare your customer?

Don't you know how to smile?

After the suicide of the Chairman, Hotel Ciel is over now.

Stop smiling.

The skirt length is normal.

Right now... what are you doing?

I'm seducing you.

Why.. why are you like this?

Why are you like this to me?

I'm sorry!

Okay, aigoo. Thank you.

On a day like today, you don't need to do this.

All this while, you must have gone through a tough time.

You worked hard at the temple.

You worked hard.

Senior Manager Baek, it's been a long time.

I'm Manager Baek.

You're such a stickler.

Now, instead of doing it yourself,

get the kids to do it and take it easy.

It's my duty.

Yes.

Who in Hotel Ciel would go against your word?

Everyone, go back to your places now.

Chairman Ah's daughter came in through Incheon Port.

Yes.

I'm working on convincing her

to hand over her shares quietly.

She has nothing to do with me.

Sorry customer. We only use the red carpet when a national guest has come.

I'm a national guest.

Roll the red carpet.

What's the problem, Customer?

Are you telling me to repeat what I said again?

No.

Customer, this is a pity, but--

You talk a lot. If I tell you to roll the red carpet, roll it.

Do you guys know who I am?

Who are you?

What do you mean who? I'm a customer who's spending money at your place.

Anyways, I won't step a foot out of here until you roll out a red carpet.

Place it. - What?

Whether it's a red carpet or rug, place it immediately, so other cars can come through.

She's someone scarier than a national guest. Treat her as such. Place the carpet. End of story.

Everybody.

Hello!

It's a JS, ultra-mega JS! (Jin Sang = terrible customer)

Yes, Customer? Yes, your reservation has been finalized.

Ultra-mega JS! (Jin Sang = terrible customer)

Beware of JS! Beware of JS!

It's a JS.

Check the CCTV right away.

It's a Jin Sang (terrible customer), an ultra-mega JS!

Welcome, Customer.

You just reserved a suite room for one year, right?

Yes, that's me.

She looks young; why is she using informal language?

I can hear everything.

I'm a bit special, so my membranous cochlea is in the outside of my ear.

It's a misunderstanding.

It's okay. Your face looks funny, so I'm entertained.

Customer, your name please.

Ciel.

Yes, yes. This is Ciel.

Customer, please tell me your name.

Heiress.

Yes. Heiress.

It's me. Ciel's heiress.

Ah Mo Ne.

Ahjussi.

Ahjussi. - Oh, oh.

Yes, yes.

Yes, yes.

Did you worry a lot, Ahjussi?

You should have called me.

After your dad passed away,

how scared must you have been.

It's okay.

General Manager?

Greet her.

This is the Chairman's daughter.

Nice to meet you, Lady.

You looked sharp on broadcast,

but I guess it's the camera.

Is that so?

What happened to you? Why didn't you come to the funeral?

I was going to come to the funeral,

but these guys were chasing after me.

What? You were being chased? By whom?

I don't know. People who didn't want me to come to Korea.

I guess I look luxurious. They probably thought they could rob me.

Don't worry. I came to a safe place now.

From now on, I will protect you.

I'm your dad now.

Take management lessons by my side.

The only person who can protect the hotel now, is you.

No, no. I don't want anything to do with management.

I just want to be a heiress with a lot of money. I want to live in style like the main actress of a movie.

Aren't you sad?

Your dad passed away.

You must not know me. I didn't have fun with my dad.

We saw each other once or twice a year. Each time we met, we fought like cats and dogs.

Anyway, I heard it was a suicide.

The one who left me first is my dad.

You can't resent your dad even so.

He loved you

a lot.

I'm tired. I want to rest.

Did you see that drawing before?

Chairman cherished this a lot.

No.

Why is the air in the elevator like this?

It's fine for me.

But are you really the Chairman's daughter?

You guys are totally different.

You.

Don't talk. Don't breathe. I feel uncomfortable because it's cramped and humid in here.

Chairman went to a good place.

Don't be in too much pain.

I misunderstood you.

I thought that you were okay about it.

You know how much the Chairman loved this hotel, right?

It fell out.

You are so loud.

Do you really have nothing to do?

This...

No, you can't.

What are you doing right now?

Change everything I marked in 30 minutes.

The color and design are bad quality.

What are you doing? If you don't do it in time, it won't be fun.

Okay, I get it!

Hobby: Climbing, Horseback riding, Biking and Leisure Sports

She caught me off guard.

I didn't know that she'd come here in person,

causing a scene and announcing to the world that she was an heiress.

She doesn't have the qualification to become the owner of the hotel anyways.

But...

the problem is the amount of shares she has.

There is still time.

Sure,

she probably can't make a move hastily, now that she's at the hotel.

In half a month, the meeting with the stockholders will take place.

In that time span, she will walk out of this place with her own feet.

Hey! Hey!

What did you say? I can't hear you clearly.

I will come to Korea around next week.

Don't trust in anyone.

Dad, what do you mean?

I'm sorry, my baby.

Shut up.

Dad, tell me again.

Who are you telling me not to trust?

Hello? Hello?

Dad. Dad.

Dad!

Are you not sad?

Even so, your dad passed away.

From now on, I will protect you.

You know how much the Chairman

loved this hotel, right?

Don't trust anyone.

Just a simple suicide?

Don't kid me.

Hello,

Ciel family.

This is Chairman Ah Seong Won.

The biggest reason of our Hotel Ciel's growth...

What's going on?

is because the you committed your time here, giving up your weekends.

It's everywhere. The staff's lunchroom, the staff's resting area, and the backstage.

What is the audio room doing? Tell them to turn it off immediately.

What is going on?

Ciel family...

Our Ciel...

What are you guys doing?

General Manager,

I think the machine has problems, it won't turn off.

Contact the machine room and turn off all the speakers.

Yes.

Was there anybody who came in here?

No.

Has it been empty?

Aside from breakfast break, no.

Why is this happening? This has never happened before.

General Manager, please save me.

I was here for three hours.

I didn't call you.

That's good. Do you want to play one round with me?

Hit. Hit.

No.

General Manager, I think you need to go to the Chairman's room.

General Manager, we were just doing our daily routine

like always, and came here to clean.

Everything is in its place, just as the Chairman left it.

Hotel King

What do you mean my dad reappeared?

Someone is acting as a ghost.

Swindler. Who's that crazy person?

Can you please close that mouth of yours?

Why are you like this, making me all scared?

The thing that's really scary is not the CCTV, but a person's eyes.

You can't erase nor manipulate a person's eyes.

That girl is no joke.

When the person who's behind this tries to bring up the chairman, I'll get rid of each evidence, one by one.

He's not an easy person.

Please let me handle it.

Do what you want. Let's see if it works.
