So we're in Juneau,
about to investigate The Alaskan,

an old hotel that is notorious
for its rowdy gold-mining past

and intense paranormal activity.

So, I'm actually really excited.

This is the first time

this has ever been
investigated for television.

Yeah.

The Alaskan was built in 1913,

so it's over 100 years old.

It was this epitome of luxury.

With that, though,
came this kind of seedy underbelly

of prostitution and money laundering

and drugs and all sorts of deviant behavior.

A lot of times, we see that history --

especially that kind of
darker side of history --

coming into play with
paranormal experiences.

There's a lot of things that people say --

attribute to the hauntings here.

What really fascinates me

is the different types of
activity that they're having,

because we don't always run across that.

I mean,
they've been seeing a woman in their mirrors.

They're having, apparently,

very violent poltergeist activity.

Yeah, I've heard people are
getting touched in their sleep

and are waking up seeing ghosts
floating above their beds.

I read this one account

where a woman walked into
the bathroom at The Alaskan,

and when she walked out,
it was a completely different building,

so she went through like a time warp,
almost.

Wow.

Which is really, really rare.

You don't hear those types
of accounts all the time.No.

There's definitely some
oogie-boogie going on.

and he went away to mine,
and while he was gone --

Now, this place was still kind
of a working woman's place,

and so she decided to
take a little on the side.

he came home unexpectedly and caught her,

and he shot her dead in her bed...Wow.

...and then he hung himself in 219.

I know you're super interested

in what's gonna happen in your room,

but I want to hear about 315.

I could tell you when we go up.

I keep all the curtains closed.

and he said, "I want the most haunted room,"

I just knew that was trouble.

And then when he came in,
about 11:00 at night,

there was screaming,

and he started screaming,
screaming, screaming,

and he was saying, "Help!

Let me out of here! Stop!"

Then, at some point, he had cut himself,

and he wrote on the wall, "Help."

And then just a bunch of blood,
and blood was everywhere.

And he was by himself in the room?

Yes. Wow.

I'm not gonna open the window,
but I am gonna show you this.

Then what he did was he
went through this window.

He jumped through it?Yeah.

He dropped all the way down, third floor.

How long ago did that happen?

Oh, it wasn't that long ago.

-That's pretty recent.

Also,
there have been reports of a poltergeist,

you know, throwing things around,

and aggressive hauntings.

that were traumatic to me --

A man was beaten and left to die,

stand to be in that room

for that very reason.

We used to rent out hot tubs.

The last hot tub that we ever rented

is now a poltergeist.

Charlie was a guest.

He died in this building.

His anger,
his feelings of betrayal remain yet with us.

If we ever take anyone down in there,

we run the risk that something

whether it's Charles, a demonic entity,

What is it, what's it doing there,

and why is it there?

The being that I saw

was back in the farthest, darkest corner

of the entire building --
right back in here.

What did it do? Did it just stay there?

It just stood there and watched me.

So, why would a demon be here, though?

I have no idea why a demon would be

in this particular place.

Has there ever been a history

of any kind of satanic worship in the hotel,

or any kind of...?

Anyone back in the '70s

doing weird rituals here or anything

when it was abandoned?

One of the things that we've
been coming up in our research

is the nexus of ley lines
that run under here,

and could that create kind of
a doorway to the other world,

which a lot of people believe it can.

This building has a lot of
energy that flows through it.

I had a medium come in here,
and we befriended each other,

and she showed me an actual video of orbs

floating down this very hall.

And she described a spirit

that kept her awake through the night

that was floating three
feet above her in the bed,

and that was in room 203.

It's an energy vortex,
is what we're looking at.

It's a doorway for things to come through.

To be honest,
I've been doing this a long time,

and I'm thoroughly confused

as to what's going on here...Okay.

...because there's so much,

not only historically, but also spiritually,

you know, and, I guess,

what Jack and I are trying to
get to the bottom of is, why?

Why do you have so much activity?

A lot of times, you go to a location,

and they're like,

"Ah, the woman in black is seen over there,

and the man with the hat is in that corner,"

and that's kind of, like, it,

but here, it's every nook and cranny

has some intense activity.

He was throwing out stuff about demons,

was kind of going all over the place

with all these other
deaths that occurred here,

and so Katrina and I discussed.

try and piece together the
story a little more clearly.

there was some sort

of dark magic that was

people practiced

It sounded like there were two people.

So he heard two separate voices?

He just said it sounded

Before the guy,
cops started wearing body cams,

they all just wore little

I was in Alice's room, investigating.

We had a camera operator with us

and one of our producers with us

and we were using a audio device.

We specifically heard the name Alice

come through three times.

-Wow.
-And then, we kept getting

the word rape come through multiple times.

-Rape?
-Rape.

Wow.
-Yeah.

It was really rough back
in the frontier here,

in the beginning, and so I'm sure

that women were treated roughly.

One of our production assistants had a dream

about Alice and, in that dream,

Alice told her she was misunderstood.

Misunderstood?!

Ugh! I'm getting cold chills. Ah!

I think we should talk about

your experiences in your room.

Yeah. So, in 315,
I think I experienced what you described

as that spiritual highway
through the third floor.

You know,
any time that we were communicating,

it would send us in different
places on the floor.

Yeah, there's something up there, for sure.

It felt like standing in like a --

in like -- on a busy street.
-Mm-hmm.

I went downstairs to the basement

with our producer Elaine
'cause we're both females

and you had said specifically that Charlie

doesn't necessarily like
females down in the basement.

We had a device that tests
for temperature and motion.

Now, Elaine and I,
we were standing perfectly still.

We would ask for Charlie to come forward

and this device would light up and beep,

which indicates that something
in that area is moving

and it would only happen
when we asked for Charlie.

-Ah.
-Just from that session, alone,

we can say Charlie is here, in some form.

Yeah.

-Yeah.
-and he found something that we wanna show you.

This is a very new camera
and what it does is

it overlays where there's
movement in a single shot.

It will only pick up on things that,
essentially, trip it off.

The only other time I've something similar,

a shadow show up on a camera,

usually has ties to demonic hauntings.

We actually think there might be

a couple reasons why that has been seen.

in any of the kind of more

Unwittingly. This isn't something

I really like to talk about, but,

I dated a girl, once,

whose mother was using black magic

to control her family.

And I knew this.

Very foolishly, I remained

in a relationship with
her for almost a year.

During that time, her mother somehow managed

to get a hold of a piece of hair

or an object that belonged to me

and the reason I know this

is because her daughter had a dream.

She woke up and then saw

a demonic figure with my head.

I woke up simultaneously

Yeah. Okay, so there's our missing piece

of the puzzle, right?

I mean, that's

really helpful information.

Through the course of our investigation,

we found out that Joshua's been involved

in some stuff, willingly and unwillingly.

He kind of opened himself
up more than he intended to

and maybe that's allowing
some of these things

to come through and make communication.

But I think, moving forward,
you, in particular,

you have to be really careful.

Typically, my experience,

and, I think, in your experience, too,

we haven't seen that end
very well for people.
