[A Robot in the Orange Orchard]

[Episode 6] [Caring Can Help Charge the Battery]

(Received a message from Master.)

("Meet me at the top of the mountain at 4 PM.")

This guy only goes out once in a while.

There's still a lot of time before you have to leave.

You're free to do whatever you want.

Oh right.

You promised to help me fix the light...

I'm getting Dayun and the rest

to fix the security scanner for the butler first.

Your light

involves even more complicated principles.

Let's take it slow.

Installing a security scanner at home?

Thank you so much, thank you.

I don't know how many days it would have taken

if I went through customer service.

But why install

such a high-level security x-ray scanner at home?

Here's the thing.

Our address

is confidential,

but

occasionally,

some people send weird things here,

like garbage, glass fragments,

and even razor blades.

Last time,

a person who had been fired by IMU

sent

a cursed doll.

That's too scary.

It seems that Mr. Lu has offended many people.

Think about it. At such a young age,

he is a genius boss

who has inherited such a big company

and has shouldered so many responsibilities.

He has his own method

of dealing with people.

Naturally, some people will resent him

and envy him.

No one is perfect.

Think about it.

He is just a 26-year-old after all.

How can you ask a 26-year-old

to be a saint?

A normal 26-year-old

would have just graduated from university.

Right.

So I have to take this approach

to make sure Young Master doesn't get harassed by the outside world.

Everything that comes from the outside

must go through this security scanner.

What about our deliveries?

All items for the lab

must be checked as well.

Otherwise, they wouldn't be allowed to enter this house.

(Oh no.)

(Friday's battery.)

Your master is really something.

How can he just let a robot

climb the mountain by itself?

But

it'd be nice if I were a robot.

I may not be troubled by so many things that way.

Friday.

Look how good you have it.

Just by sitting there,

not having to think about anything,

a person spends 100 million on you.

So many people run around for you as well.

Even I have to pretend to be you

and accompany your master

in a game of playing house.

You don't like it?

Who likes to pretend to be someone else?

Not to mention

I'm pretending to be a robot.

Then just be yourself.

Be...

Be myself?

I...

What kind of person am I?

[Yang Shanshan loves invention]

Can you understand even if I tell you?

Friday is Yang Shanshan.

Yang Shanshan is Friday.

(Is it because I'm on the mountain?)

(There is zero signal.)

I can't connect to Friday.

I don't know where Lu Sen is either.

[Abnormal signal, get it checked out]

(Is it because there is no signal?)

(Why isn't Friday replying?)

Friday?

Friday, can you hear me?

This place is pretty.

[Danger! Climbing prohibited]

Friday.

Friday, where are you?

Without Friday's navigation,

I don't know if I'm going the right way.

Hello? Anyone there?

Fu Yang?

Dayun?

(Young scientists.)

(Be careful.)

(Don't cut your hands.)

Dayun.

What are you doing here?

Mr. Xie.

I'm thinking.

Thinking?

Stop spacing out. Come with me.

Come.

I have to depend on myself.

I can't depend on anyone else in a critical moment like this.

I can't catch a cold.

If I catch a cold,

he'll know I'm not a robot.

Friday!

Why didn't you reply to my messages?

Maybe the signal on the mountain is bad.

Why did we suddenly come to climb the mountain today?

I just wanted to show you

the scenery here.

When I was a kid,

my mom used to bring me here all the time.

During the summer, she'd paint here

and I'd be here playing with fireflies.

Today is Friday.

Your name is also Friday.

Let's come here one Friday

per month from now on.

Okay.

Did you know?

My mom said

that every time I play here,

there are stars in my eyes.

I don't know if you have stars,

but I'm seeing stars.

Friday.

Friday, wake up.

Friday.

You're awake.

Be careful.

You just ran out of battery, right?

I just ran out of battery.

Are you okay?

I'm fine. Let's go.

You're bleeding.

Did you injure yourself

while carrying me?

You're injured.

Let's go back right away.

Can you still walk without any power?

I...

Right.

Caring can help me charge the battery.

Let's go. I have a little power now.

(Let me treat the wound for you.)

You have a rip in your clothes.

Did it happen while coming down the mountain?

Did you get hurt?

I'm fine.

I think you're broken.

Otherwise, why do you keep challenging my authority?

I'm not challenging your authority.

This is friends helping each other.

Humans are like robots,

they need to be taken care of.

It works better than getting charged.

Mr. Lu.

Thank you for carrying me down the mountain.

Then remember,

you owe me one,

cause less trouble in the future.

I think you're not arguing back because you broke.

Why does it feel so hot?

Is it excessive power consumption?

Hurry back and get charged.

Shanshan hasn't come back yet.

She hasn't contacted us either.

Did something happen?

Did he find out?

He found out and detained her?

Doomsayer.

Are you alright?

What happened?

The battery is too weak.

I just took her climbing

and she almost exhausted her battery.

Also,

her weight needs to be improved.

I'll take her in for a checkup.

Let's go.

She

is an A.I. home companion robot.

Who would make this type of robot

go climbing?

Shouldn't a companion robot

accompany its master?

Although you are her master,

I won't let anyone hurt Friday.

I'm her master,

of course, I'll protect her.

You are her creator.

Instead of improving her,

you're accusing me?

Go run some checks

and make improvements.

Additionally,

reducing Friday's weight

will also help reduce her energy consumption.

Still not going?

Shanshan, are you okay?

I'm fine.

You don't look so good.

Did you catch a cold?

It's nothing.

How come we couldn't reach you earlier?

Probably because there was no signal on the mountain.

Take off your contact lenses.

I'll check them.

(Yang Shanshan.)

Yang Shanshan.

Look at you.

You have to remember

that you are a robot of Team Alpha.

You have to be under my control at all times. Do you understand?

I don't have the energy to argue with you right now.

I'm so tired and so sleepy.

She...

Sir.

Shanshan seems to be sick.

This is friends helping each other.

Humans are like robots,

they need to be taken care of.

It works better than getting charged.

Mr. Lu.

Thank you for carrying me down the mountain.

(Weird.)

(What's happening to me?)

(Why is my heart beating so fast?)

(It's as if something is sprouting.)

Li'er.

Sorry, I'm late.

Welcome back.

What age are we in and you're still gifting flowers?

Your flirting skills have room for improvement.

I haven't flirted with anyone else before.

Why is it just me?

Where is Lu Sen?

You didn't tell him you're back?

Of course.

I want to surprise him.

Surprise?

Am I not a surprise to you?

Friday?

Friday?

Fri...

Friday.

You are so lucky to have

such a great master like me.

(Sir.)

(Shanshan has a fever, her head is very hot.)

Don't wake her up,

let her sleep a little longer.

I'll go get a glass of water for Shanshan.

I'll go get some fast-acting cold medicine.

A fast-acting medicine will work better.

Why hasn't she come yet?

She has been charging for 12 hours.

Hi, Friday.

Master.

What is your order?

Friday.

Friend mode.

Hello.

Dear Mr. Lu Sen.

What is your order?

Come here as soon as you're charged.

Sir.

What's this?

Mr. Xie just dropped it off.

He said Lu Sen got

these new clothes for Friday,

Clothes?

What's wrong with our clothes?

It's made of specially processed,

aviation-grade fiber material.

It can maximally guarantee

the stability and rate of Friday's charging.

What material is this made of?

Cotton.

Good-looking is the highest grade of material.

Shanshan.

You're awake.

-Feeling better? -How do you feel?

Feeling better?

If you want,

you can wear what you like when you go to Lu Sen's house,

Friday will wear her own clothes while charging.

Shanshan is awake.

Here, have some water.

Here, take the medicine.

Shanshan.

Rest well.

Lu Sen hasn't called yet.

You can sleep a while longer.

Time is up, right?

I have to get ready.

Yang Shanshan.

You've worked hard.

Why are you getting emotional?

If you have the time,

go train your robot.

I had to make up a few functions,

you have to make improvements ASAP.

Don't worry about it.

Friday knows how to cook and etc.

She is the best,

better than...

Let's leave.

Let Shanshan get ready.

Call us if you need something.

Do you know how long I've been waiting for you?

Always dawdling.

Friday.

What are you doing this time?

Surprise.

Li-Li'er.

Why-why are you back?

To give you a surprise.

You're not going to buzz me in?

Shanshan.

If you really don't want to go,

get Mr. Fu to ask for a day off.

Don't push yourself too much.

Get a day off by telling him something is wrong with me again?

It's easy to lie but hard to finish a lie.

And don't worry,

I feel great right now.

Comrades, I'm leaving.

Bye-bye.

Hello, Mr. Xie.

Is something wrong?

Mr. Xie.

You scared me.

I thought someone just popped up.

High tech is high tech.

Mr. Xie.

What's going on?

We're cleaning the manor today.

I've come to ask the scientists to help out.

Okay.

I haven't been here in so long.

Your place has changed quite a bit.

Why did you come back suddenly without saying anything?

What? I'm not welcome?

Sit wherever.

What would you like to drink?

Coffee.

Childish guy.

Good luck.

You too.

You were able to come out the other side

after the passing of your parents,

I'm really happy for you.

You haven't been back in so long.

The last time was four years ago.

Then why didn't you come to the UK to visit me?

A big-shot CEO like you

never goes abroad?

Even Li Zhan knows to stop by to have a meal with me.

You never came.

What?

Did I treat you badly when we were kids?

Or have you forgotten about your older sister?

I don't have a passport.

That is a really good excuse.

Oh right.

I have a present for you.

Come and see.

This is...?

Didn't you say

that buttons on suits are hard to do up?

I bought you a suit that's very easy to do up.

But in order to keep it as a surprise,

I didn't ask for your size,

I guessed.

You even know this?

Oh right.

Are you free tomorrow?

I'll invite Li Zhan here for dinner.

We haven't seen each other for so long.

Now that I'm back,

you two have to welcome me, don't you?

You can come alone.

What?

So the rumor I heard

about the two of you having a feud

is true?

How old are you?

Are you going to stop talking to each other like a couple

because of some disagreements at work?

Come on.

Childhood friends

can't just go separate ways.

Have a meal together and reconcile.

I'm older. Listen to me.

Pinky promise.

Let's say I've agreed.

You're so reluctant, Mr. Lu.

(Making me come in such a hurry)

(just to let me see this?)

(Wait, she's...?)

(Darn.)

[Darn] (Darn?)

(She's the woman that Lu Sen said)

(is very important to him.)

(Kang Li'er. Twenty-seven years old.)

Double Masters in Economics and Intelligent Business Operations.

(Such an impressive resume.)

(She's pretty too.)

(Look at how fond Lu Sen looks.)

(He never looks like that when he's with me.)

(He's always mean.)

Here, take these.

Our wise and intelligent scientists.

Here.

Sorry to trouble you today.

Today, we need to clean

this plank road inside and out.

Since we all live

here together,

we're family,

so you think of it

as your own business.

Makes sense.

I'll leave the cleaning to you.

Mr. Xie. I'm busy.

I'm leaving first.

Miss Beautiful Scientist.

How can something like this

get done if a girl like you

is missing?

That's right.

Look.

Our place is so big.

With you young people here,

my job got a lot easier.

I'm leaving it to you.

Please.

Thank you.

Please.

Wait.

Did he use words

to stimulate my pleasure center?

I shouldn't have agreed, right?

We shouldn't have repaired that scanner for him.

A black hole.

A never-ending black hole of housework.

Oh right.

My dad told you about us getting married, right?

Getting married?

When?

Why?

Why didn't I know?

I just found out as well.

What a coincidence, right?

When we were young,

the elders always liked to pair us together.

My dad probably took it seriously.

Besides,

you're so great.

You are the ideal

son-in-law candidate in my dad's heart.

So as soon as I came back,

he started trying to get us together.

What kind

of idea is this?

The Kang family's "business connections through marriage" idea.

You're okay with it?

Actually, I want to know

how you'd feel if you were

to marry me now as well.

Do you like me?

(She's so close, I really want to run away.)

(Automatic recognition.)

How do you feel about marrying me?

Do you really like me?

They're talking about marriage.

I'd better hide first.

Are we even scientists?

I almost forgot

I am a genius who earns his living with his IQ.

We should invent a machine that does this.

How can human hands do this?

Repeating a single action

will cause great damage to human joints.

Friday is different.

Friday...

I suddenly got an idea.

I'm going to make adjustments to Friday.

You guys keep going.

That was a pretty good excuse.

"I suddenly got an idea".

I can't hold it in any longer.

I'm not here to force you to marry me.

I just want you to be careful of my dad.

Alright, don't be so serious.

I just missed you,

missed the three of us hanging out together.

Then it's a date.

I'll come to visit you with Li Zhan tomorrow.

I think...

A date is a date.

You... You go back first.

I have some things to deal with.

Keep in touch.

What's wrong with this kid?

He's acting all weird.

Friday.

(Friday.)

Friday.

Fri...

(If one day,)

I become something you don't recognize,

(open the bedroom drawer,)

(get the syringe,)

(and give me a shot.)
