no choice.

Because they have intel,
they have knowledge

to their directions.

Their intel
tells them that

this is a very
dangerous place.

I hope that the
situation improves

and they'll classify it
as a minimum risk area

and you can go back
over there the next day.

If they come up
tomorrow and say

"hey, they can go back
over there if you want.

We'll just go
back over.

that it'll get better

hope to deal.

But most likely
it might get worse

So I thought today
i would address

the violence in
the borderlands

and I was asked if you
feel that more security

is going to benefit
your community and

if you've got good ideas
about how to go about it.

Sometimes when i
go to Washington,

people basically laughed
in my face and said "oh,

there's not a violence
problem in Mexico.

You're just
making it up

to get more funding
for your state".

And there's this
huge sense of denial.

In most of
the regions

the press has
been silenced.

Six journalists were
killed in the first

quarter of this year and
i don't know how many

have been killed in
the second quarter.

So this is
what's happening.

Three weeks ago a large
group, maybe ten to 15

members of the acapulco
police department

were kidnapped and
their heads were

delivered one place,
scattered around,

their bodies were
some place else.

Mayor hidalgo of course
was assassinated.

There have been
approximately 12 mayors

killed now in Mexico
since February

- January or
February -

and these are the ones
just in the border states.

What I am concerned
about is that this will

start happening
in Texas cities.

The purpose of the flight
was to overview the

waters coming in that
flooded the rio grande.

They were trying
to find out

what damage
had been done.

Uh, no.

I've understood that CNN
is reporting that it was

narco related but there's
been no mention of that.

And I spoke with a
long time very close

family friend who this
tragedy took place within

three quarters of a mile
of his ranch headquarters

and nobody's made mention
of any narco relations.

The plane did
explode on impact

but there's been
no mention thus far

of any narco
related activity.

It didn't say there
was an explosion

before it hit
the ground?

No, it does.
"Explosion occurred

aboard plane
before crash".

Government-run news
agencies of course.

That's all I've
been reading.
