last 43 years in that data set but that

is the period when it was supposed to be

warming the most what sort of warming

have we had is it in line for instance

with the predictions from the climate

models of 10 15 20 years ago that we

face a climate crisis with very

dangerous rises already in the planet's

temperature

well if we do a comparison an apple's to

apple's comparison between the satellite

measurements

uh which are actually of a fairly deep

layer of the atmosphere okay

that's where most of our

weather occurs is is in the troposphere

the lowest part of the atmosphere

and if we do an apples-to-apples

comparison between the satellite

measurements and what over two dozen

climate models have predicted since 1979

uh for that same layer

we

our measurements are actually at the

bottom end of all those models in other

words the warming we see

is lower than

most if not all of those models so there

is a discrepancy between what the what

the observations are showing which shows

about a an average of 0.13 degrees c per

decade warming which is you know very

small number uh compared to the climate

models which are generally oh twice that

at least

your kind of measurements

uh have been upsetting to people that

want us to believe there's a climate

emergency happening climate crisis

claiming

it makes unreliable and harmful claims

which claims have they told you are

unreliable and harmful

well they're not specific about what

claims they're basically it says the

actually google is saying that the data

is unreliable so on what what do you
