In this video, we're going to talk briefly about the dark with now the dark web, if you're watching

a lot of movies or televisions.

Chances are you're going to see some really kind of crazy stuff where the dark web is.

So the sole purpose is for things like money laundering.

Doing criminal activity is buying drugs.

Murder, snuff films and all sorts of crazy, dark, ugly stuff.

Now, the truth is, the Dark Web does have some bad things in there, and essentially the dark web

is just the on index part in air in it.

So in other words, it's dark.

You can't search the search using a standard browser.

So I'm just going to grab one of these links here and we'll get back to the site in a moment.

So I'm going to open a new tab here.

We're going to go paste this in and we see this kind of crazy address.

This six and age and blah blah blah blah, and it ends with a dot onion, so that doesn't look like

a standard web search.

It's not like, say, Google Dot Com and the Sendek dot com yahoo.com.

Really easy to remember your ill dark web addresses tend to be pretty long and complex, but they always

end with a dot onion.

So if I click this, our browser cannot resolve to it.

Our standard browser can't.

So Firefox, Chrome Safari one night won't be able to browsers normally.

And if we try to search the dark web using, say, Google, Bing, Yahoo, Yandex or DuckDuckGo, whatever.

We won't be able to do it because again, it's high on index part of the internet.

And even if we were able to somehow search for these sites, we can't actually browse to it because

again, it's got that dot onion address.

So we would need something like, say, the Tor browser to browse to these different sections.

Now you may find yourself in the need to go to the dark web, you may need to.

Expand your investigation, check the dark web and look for different things, but again, the dark

web isn't necessarily bad, so if you if you're doing a search for someone and and they you know that

they're doing some activities or you suspect they're doing some activities on dark web, don't naturally

assume that they're doing some sort of criminal activity because there are legitimate sites on the dark

web.

There's Facebook on the Dark Web, there's various news sites that have dark web addresses or also known

as onion sites.

So let's go back to the hidden wiki and you can find this at the Hidden Wiki dot org.

Now this lists some various onion sites or dark web sites.

And this we could actually browse on the regular browser here because we, as we see, has a mortgage

REITs.

If we go down in here, we can start searching this now.

Dark web sites.

The shady ones tend to go away pretty quickly because, well, some some of these are really horrible

sites and they do get takedown requests or they kind of shuffle their servers around.

So it's kind of harder to find them.

If we kind of look in here, we can see all these different addresses next to what we can see, what

it is.

So Onion links version three, we can see dark mixer and so mixing, say, cryptocurrency, and we do

see some bad stuff in here.

Cocaine, heroin, most likely for sale, we could see.

Cannabis sites here, mobile stores, bitcoin investments, mining use, USA citizenships and whatnot.

So you do need to be careful when you go into the dark web if you're doing this, if you're going to

say these shady reports of the dark web, I do recommend running your VPN using your virtual machine.

And of course, you're going to need to use something like the Tor browser to get in there.

Now we have a couple of options to browse the dark web.

One will we could use a Tor browser, which we'll take a look at.

We also could use a The Onion search engine and you could find an onion search engine dot com.

And there is a chrome extension for this, and we could type in anything that we want here.

It's a credit card.

And we can click the button and it starts searching the dark web for it, so.

This is handy, we're not using a Tor browser.

We're not using a VPN per se because we're not clicking into it, but we can see that if found is different,

it was able indexes different things.

And we could see whether it's online or not, so that's pretty useful in itself.

And if I click on any of these, it's not going to load because again, it's going to need a.

The Onion router for it, so I'm just going to click this here.

Because I actually don't want to go to the site.

And again, you can use the onion search engine.

Use a plug in on your Chrome browser for you could just find it over in the Google Store.

So that's a pretty easy.

In simple explanation for the dark web, kind of how to get around it, get it and look around.

But again, I do recommend using caution when you go there.

Use your VPN, use your virtual machine and use your Tor browser when you do your search.

Be very careful.

Don't use your real information if you need to.

Register for a site like at see a forum or what not.

Practice good Operation Security.

Don't leave any real information behind because again, some of these sites can be pretty bad.

There are pretty dark stuff on the darknet.

So again, not all bad, but there, but you can run into some pretty dark areas in there in your investigation.

So again, I do urge you to exercise caution.
