All language subtitles for 5. Online dating

In this fear, we're going to be using Ozone for online dating.

Now it doesn't matter who you are when you're doing online dating, there are some potential things

you do need to worry about.

You need to worry about if the person that you're communicating with is actually who they are trying

to portray themselves as.

So for online dating, there's a lot of different options out there.

These are some of the ones out there eharmony, match, Tinder, OkCupid, Bumble.

Again, there's a lot of different online dating is out there, and all of them do have the same issue

with trying to be able to figure out.

If the person that you're communicating with, the person that you're looking at their profile and reading

about is actually who they say they are.

It doesn't matter if it's a man or a woman, you still run in the same issue.

Now the services do try to do some sort of vetting and they try this one.

They try to actually again vet things, make sure that you're communicating.

Their profiles are accurate, but there always is a risk that it's not.

So that's where Olson comes in.

So for this example, say this young woman who thinks she's talking to a nice young man.

Well, how do we know that it's not some someone else?

It could be someone being malicious, someone dangerous, someone that looks absolutely nothing like

the person that they're portraying.

They could be using a photo that they found online lie about their occupation or hobbies and whatnot.

How does this person find out?

Or at least reduce the chances of being deceived?

Well, that's where Olson comes in.

So this is Zoosk.

I pulled up some profiles online, so we're just going to use these as an example, and this is pretty

typical.

So typically when you have a dating service, you're going to have a few things that are always going

to be in common a name, whether it's a username or real name and age.

Yeah.

Image and in this case, they call this story, sometimes I'll say profile or something else.

So these are the three things are pretty much going to be in common with any sort of dating service.

So we're going to break these three things down and with Ozone and kind of use that to figure out who's

who.

So one thing you could do is if it's a name or a username, you could fit into a system like instant

instant username search.

And what this does is it you take the name or the username, you put it in here and it'll go out to

all these different services and try to figure out, Well, is this username available?

So if it's not what we were, we're looking for are these ones that say taken.

So if it's taken, that means that it ran a year, ran the username against these different services.

See if you could actually register as that.

So it's good when you see taken in this particular case.

So if I see these, I can go in here.

I click on tick tock.

I can take or click on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and whatnot, and I can see that it would be saved.

And then I can search going through that profile and seeing if that looks like a match to that particular

user.

Now, if it is, then I can start kind of breaking down those posts.

I can take a look at the user profile in Twitter or the Facebook ticktalk and see if those that image

matches.

See if the way that they're acting matches what they're trying to portray and say that Zoosk profile.

So you do want to try to verify it?

Well, it do do these things matches is is it the same person and kind of go from there if it does and

then definitely do a lot more research into those particular social media accounts and see that, well,

OK.

Is is this the person that they're trying to portray themselves on this on the dating site and say or

in the social media site, other things we could use are things like social catfish and we could do

sort of social catfish by name or username.

And this will do basically a light search for who they are, basically a people search.

So you can put it in and you might be potential information like a real name, location, gender, language

spoken relatives, associates, phone numbers, partial email addresses.

And then it's going to do again, a deeper background check.

And if you really if you want to go and hide all the information that you're going to have to do, this

can see complete results, which you are going to have to pay some nominal fee for.

So do keep that in mind, but the information up here might be enough to kind of go off of him and figure

out, Well, is this person who they say they are?

And also and also, is it the person that you really want to, you know, communicate with?

And again, for this one to if you're going to do to see the complete results, you are going to have

to pay some sort of fee for it.

But again, if I could see well, let's see.

It looks like there's a LinkedIn account, so I might be able to just go straight to LinkedIn, type

that username or type two real name and see if that's really the person that that I'm looking for.

Now for images.

There's a lot of service we could use, we use Google, Yandex, PimEyes, we could use Bing, Yahoo.

For example, image raider to take that image and do a reverse image search.

So would Google.

Again, we could feed it in there and we could find all these different, different things, potentially.

But again, we do want to verify the results at once.

We put it out there, we can see that.

Well, is this a real profile?

Is this person I want to talk to?

Reminds does a really good job, they use a some level of facial recognition.

And again, for faces, it does a really good job and we can we could feed it through here.

We could see they'd found some matches that look like it matches up here and we could see partial email

website addresses here.

Now for this, if you do want to.

Get more detailed information where they were blogs, forums, news, explicit content, criminal records

and whatnot.

Again, it's going to be like any other.

People search site.

We are going to have to pay a fee, so in this case, they're charging you $30 a month for a one month

plan, 25 searches daily.

So this potentially could come in handy if you're doing a lot of dating and you want to do a do a lot

of checking.

Now for the for the profile or the story or the information part.

We want to take a look inside of breaking down information.

So is supposed generic.

Well, if the pulse is generic, well, that might that might be a red flag.

It might mean that it's a bot that's not necessarily the case.

Always give the case, but sometimes bots will people use bots?

And for some pretty generic stuff in there is unusual grammar or spelling mistakes?

Well, if there are, then that could be a red flag, too.

So it might mean that I've seen a lot of people that are phishing foreign people use try to portray

themselves as, say, U.S. citizens out there living in the United States.

Now, typically, they'll have bad spelling mistakes and there were grammar mistakes.

And as you start looking for the run, you find out, well, OK, this person is not from, say, Los

Angeles, California, they're actually from Russia or somewhere else.

So again, Grammar's and a lot of spelling mistakes can be a red flag.

And does the information differ from the rest of the profile is what they're saying in their story or

their profile not matching up to the other information on part of their their profile?

Do they talk about living in, say, North Carolina when they say when the profile part of the profile

says it, they live in Los Angeles, California, for example.

So we could also take that the profile and we can paste it into, say, a plagiarism checker.

What this will do is it'll go out there and see if that particular profile or the bulk of their profiles

use somewhere else.

No, this is not a exact thing.

However, depending on how unique that profile is, you might be able to see if it was due somewhere

else.

And again, you paste it in there, you run the player plagiarism check and it'll go out, you know,

find out, Hey, was this plagiarized?

Did I see this somewhere else?

How much of this did I see somewhere else?

So.

To make things easy, I put in a Mark Twain quote, we could see it was 100 percent plagiarize zero

percent unique.

And then it gives us a link word found that content.

And so again, that's it's just because you find it plagiarized doesn't mean that it is false.

For example, we can actually follow that link.

We can find out, well, OK, this profile?

Let's see if it was you somewhere else.

OK, maybe we could find out was you somewhere else?

We could take a look at that other that other social media profile, that other dating profile and see

that well, again.

Is there any information that differs or anything that's a red flag that we need be careful about?

And we also could use things like a straight up people search until those people spy dialer, depending

on how much information we started collecting names, usernames, email addresses, phone numbers,

depending on what that would, those dating sites or a person reveals we could sort of feed into these

different services.

So typically, what you'll find is a name, you'll find a location, age, basically basic information

like relatives and whatnot.

And again, you are going to have to pay for these different services.

We all should do Google Advanced Searches or Google Docs.

Now, if we're doing this, we could do it again, we could take different things, we could take the

username, we could take the real name and we could try to isolate down.

Whether this is real or whether we could find other other accounts under this and do or do additional

research.

So for example, I could put in their username under this exact word or phrase, I could put down language

like zoos, like without English or whatever, if I need to.

Typically, what you want to do is do the name and then you could you could check a region like an isolate

down the region, make sure a certain region or it can leave it open to see if it won't.

Is this really, you know, somewhere outside of where, where it should be?

So these are some tips that you could use for investigating dating using Olson.
