All language subtitles for 3. User agent switcher

In this video, we're going to be taking a look at user agent switcher.

And this is a browser add on that we could add on to Firefox or Chrome.

So in this example, we're going to be adding on to Firefox here so you can either go through the App

Store or you can do a simple search for user agent switcher, which we have here now.

It's a pretty easy install for Firefox.

I'm just going to click on Add Firefox hidden up in here.

I'm going to go ahead and click Add, and we can see the extension is up in here.

So the use case for use user agent switcher is user agent switcher essentially mimics different browsers,

so let's take a look.

So click up in here and we can see these different types of desktop and mobile browsers so I can make

this thing.

Think it's a see Android phone running Firefox 83 or an iPhone with Safari, 12.1.1 or iPad or even

desktop environments.

No certain certain applications will be looking for mobile devices.

And if you're doing a Osim investigation, you're doing data collection.

Well, chances are a lot of your tools are going to be on your computer, not on a mobile device.

So you really want to be able to emulate that their mobile device setup.

So this is where using user agents, which comes in handy.

So let's see.

And when I went this thing to think it's no phones of running Safari 12.1.1, we can simply click this

and then we could just browse wherever.

So we're typing Google and come.

There we go.

So this thing essentially thinks it's a iPhone running running the browser here.

Likewise, we could change this to say.

We we want to do an Android tablet running Chrome, and then we can we can go in here, we can click

on this and he'll pull the page and it thinks it's a Android tablet.

You can see and hear how the different form, anyhow, it's kind of scrunched in here.

Now, one caveat when you're running this, you may notice that things may take a little while longer

to kind of to pull up the pages.

This does happen sometimes.

From what I notice, it's probably because it's trying to emulate that type of browser.

So don't be too alarmed if that happens.

Just can't keep that in mind.

So overall, a really cool program.

Again, this is user agent switcher and are is for both Chrome and Firefox.
