All language subtitles for 1. Proton Mail and Tutanota

In this video where and take a look at two secure emailing options ProtonMail in two to Noda.

So first one, we're going to take a look at his proton mail.

And this is one I've used for a while.

I actually did switch to two to Noda.

However, I do still think Proton Man is a good mail app.

Now this is going to be a free email solution.

It's pretty cool.

It's it's a secure email, encrypts your email.

You can do use a web version.

You could use a iOS or Android.

And they also provide a VPN service paid and free now ProtonMail is based in Switzerland, so.

In theory, it's going to be more secure because it will typically apply to Swiss law if someone wants

to get into your email, you know, wherever.

There are situations where they if they are given a court order, a proper court order for Switzerland,

they will need to legally hand over that information.

So don't think that your information is completely bulletproof.

If you're worried about privacy.

But it is very good.

So if we scroll down in here, we can see Swiss privacy data security neutrality.

It's encrypted if you're sending to another proton email.

And they have calendar and drive is easy to use, is open source.

So let's take a quick look at it.

So this is a proton email account.

It signing up is pretty easy.

There is a free version and there's a paid tier to pay tier.

You do get a little bit extra features, including more storage space I can click on here.

For upgrading, we could see that for $4 a month.

We get five gigs of storage, five email addresses, 200 folders, labels, custom email addresses and

access to proton drive, which is currently in beta at the time, is recording.

It is professional and visionary.

So right now I am on the free version here, and it operates pretty much like any other mail app.

Which is not to say that's a bad thing.

It it does make it a lot easier to to kind of jump in and start using it.

So nothing really is going to be kind of crazy or really difficult to learn.

I could do new message, send a new message, I can check my spam, I can store emails and whatnot.

I could trash it just like any other email.

Let me click on new message.

So the cool thing about this is so I can type up e-mail in here and I can encrypt as I could do it.

I can click on here.

I can encrypt the message.

I can set the message password, confirm it.

I could put a password in here in here.

In the cryptic message to nonpolluting proton recipients will expire in 28 days unless I said a shorter

time.

So Danny and SoFi's pretty cool.

I could also set the more options I could attach a public key request to read receipt.

I can set expiration time here, so if I want this message to expire, I can give someone say.

Zero hours and I can give them.

Well, they got 15 minutes to read this email before it deletes itself.

So again, pretty cool options for this in.

You know, it's nice to have the additional security, especially for if you're dealing with sensitive

information and you need to communicate with people again, if you're doing proton a proton, it is

end to end encrypted.

If you're not, then it's not going to be any encrypted.

So you do need to keep them in mind.

But you can't do this encryption.

Set a password and they they need to be able to.

Type in the password, theoretically, to get into it.

So the other option is to to know that so you can find that two to notico, this is another secure email.

It's due to some Android, iOS, Linux, Windows, Mac OS browser, just like ProtonMail, secure email,

no ads and encrypts everything.

It's always encrypted emails, calendars, contacts is all encrypted.

Encrypted calendar, encrypted email and encrypted email engineered in Germany.

So once in Switzerland, one is in Germany.

So and it does adhere to GDPR, which I believe ProtonMail also does.

So if we go in here again, this is going to be a pretty standard email service on on its face.

It.

Contacts, calendars, inbox, drafts, since archives and whatnot, new email here, and we could just

we could send whoever it's going to, we can choose the formatting tools.

And it's a pretty basic email again, if you go with either one, they're both very good.

Even if you go with Gmail, Gmail is technically encrypted and you can set expiration timers on that

also.

And passwords as long as going to another Gmail user.

So again, when you're using these different email systems, you do want to choose one, I would recommend

you choose an email service that does offer some sort of encryption, some sort of added security.

And again, always remember to use good passwords, complex passwords and a password manager when you're

using all this.
