All language subtitles for 05-Applying For Your Amazon Merch Account

Today,

we're going to look at how to sign up for

Merch by Amazon.

So,

first navigate in your web browser to merch.

Amazon.com.,

I'll put a link in the description as well.

You can go ahead and click s going to click

this request invitation button.

You'll most likely then need to sign into your merch

by Amazon account.

So go ahead and do that.

After that,

you click begin application.

There's only one button to click.

So I'm sure you probably could have guessed that.

Go ahead and click that.

Now you'll see this step split up into three steps

for me since I've already gone through it.

I see it all in one screen,

but you'll need to put in your country,

your business name.

And that's only if you have a business.

If not,

you can probably leave that blank,

address Line,

1 city,

state ZIP,

all the normal stuff,

your phone number,

and your business,

email address.

If you want your emails for Merch to go somewhere

different,

then the email address associated with the Amazon account that

you just logged in with and it's worth noting that

merch by Amazon.

Send you an e-mail every time you have a new

Circle lives.

So it's a lot of emails,

if you don't want to get spammed with those emails

to your primary email address,

then you should probably just make a second email address.

You can go to outlook.com

make one really quickly for free and have all your

T-shirt emails go there.

Cuz if you upload a thousand t-shirts at 8,000

M.

Just so you know,

all right.

Next you need to put your payment and banking information.

So this is because you will need to be able

to be paid out.

So with merch by Amazon,

We ever charged you but you need to be able

to get those funds that you earn deposit into a

bank account.

So it'll say you'll be paid in US dollars for

customer transactions made in all Market places because they expanded

Beyond United States.

In 2018 to Germany and the UK,

they'll do a conversion for you and pay you out

and US Dollars even though you'll be making money in

foreign currencies and then last your tax information that you

need to put in.

Are in the last step is you just have to

give Amazon your tax information.

So the first one who will receive income from Amazon

or its subsidiary.

So it says individual include sole Proprietors or single member

LLC were.

The owner is an individual.

I have an LLC registered in the state of Virginia.

So I clicked individual because I am the sole proprietor.

If you're not,

you just click individual.

Anyways,

unless you are representing a business,

you know,

when you click business for us tax purposes or us

person,

I clicked.

Yes,

tax identity information.

By the way,

you could know.

The likelihood of you getting a rejection is much higher,

but look for a different video of mine where I

walk you through how to get in from internationally.

So tax,

identity information,

put your name as soon as your tax return.

If you have a business entity registered in a state

typed out here,

put your address and then assassin or itin.

If you do not have a business entity registered with

the state,

just use your social security number as your tax ID.

If you do,

you can also use your business tax.

Identification number.

That's the route that I went with my merchant account.

It really doesn't make a difference.

It's really just about filing taxes at the end of

the year.

So do that hit submit and then you sit back

and wait.

Now,

when I applied for Merch by Amazon,

the first time it was 2016,

the end of the year and I waited three months

and never heard back.

So,

I reapplied again in early 2017.

This time,

I heard back in a little over a month and

I got accepted.

Now,

as far as I know,

in 2019 from friends and family that I've talked to

the application process,

only takes between 1 and 3 weeks on average.

Also,

if you applied during the busy season is like the

4th quarter and really Christmas time,

you'll probably get rejected because it's so busy.

They're not really worried about growth and onboarding new people.

They just want to maintain and make sure that the

holiday season goes smoothly which is understandable.

As long as you're not applying it really busy time

of year.

You probably expect to hear back within 2 weeks and

be accepted if you're flying from.

States from an Amazon account that wasn't created yesterday.

If you're applying from an Amazon account.

That's very new.

They're also going to go through more rigorous screening process

cuz they don't want to let people in with multiple

accounts.

And it really want people selling accounts.
