then why not design a hospital where
each family has their own view?

Designing hospitals following
that logic was decisive, but...

helping the actual community
build it with their own hands

was one of the most enriching
experiences of my entire life.

Twenty years ago,

after a serious
personal crisis,

I understood that perfection
in architecture

is not about constructing
beautiful buildings.

I truly believe that
great architecture can heal

as long as it's focused on what's truly
essential and forgets everything else.
