demonstrated for fair housing
and a repeal of poll taxes

in that beleaguered
southern state.

27 of the marchers
were hospitalized.

uh, reasonably agree

that these are
extremely disturbing images

and unlawful treatment
of ordinary American citizens

demonstrating
for their basic civil rights.
