the Germans loped over an 88,

and once in a while somebody was killed.

He was one of a truckload of replacements,

and at first they looked
like any bunch of new guys...

Too young, too clean and too polished.

And they all looked scared...

He wasn't scared.

He was the kind of a guy you'd notice.

the champagne campaign.

the way the French riviera was that season.

The army had made it a rest area.

There'd never been one like it before

eggs from Sweden, steaks from Argentina.

The champagne and cognac

So were some of the girls,

but others came by bus,
by foot and by plane.

After a few hours, I got tired

and doing the same things I was.

and just took off in the Jeep.

So it was our job to find out.
