pretty much the same
since we bought it.

The windows need to be replaced.

you can't mess this up.

Obviously yesterday,
we didn't listen to this

and now, we're paying
for it today. [chuckles]

- [Chase] Uh-oh!
- [Ryan laughs]

We aren't going anywhere.

[Ryan] Why are we
going around in circles?

[Chase] We are going
around in circles

on Pitcher Pond in Lincolnville,

to meet Craig and Emily
and their two children

Layla and Miles.

Emily's father bought the camp
about 30 years ago,

they've been coming up every
summer, they live down the D.C. area.

She's a professional chef so
this is kind of their retreat.

And there's some structural issues that
need help with and just an overall updating.

[Ashley] Is that
them right there?

[Chase] Oh, look at that.
Beautiful family

- [Ryan] Oh, there they are.

How's it going, guys?

[Craig] I'm glad
you could make it.

[Ryan] We're glad you
guys were downwind.

The cabin has been
pretty much the same

since we bought it,
not a lot has changed.

We have big dreams and big
plans to come up every year

and make changes but then we...

get so distracted with just
enjoying our time here

that nothing actually gets done.

- It's absolutely beautiful today.

[Ashley] This is why
we love Maine so much.

- [Emily] Right? Exactly.
- [Ashely laughs]

We got two kids.

Safety, structure's
kind of important.

Tell us about what's going on.

[Emily] Yeah, this is it.

Since I was born, we had friends
with a camp on the same lake.

So, I've been going
there and then...

when I was about Layla's age,

my dad bought this place
and we've been coming here.

Well, now we have our kids and
we are continuing the tradition.

So, what are the major build
components you're looking to get done?

[Craig] I mean, being close
to the water is wonderful

but it also takes
its toll on the camp.

You can see, you know
a few windows and doors

that are starting to...

- rot away.
- [Emily] Absolutely.

What are you looking to and
hoping to get done on the camp?

Yeah, so...

We have a, you know, long list.

- Perfect.
- But definitely

the windows throughout
could use replacing.

The floors throughout
need to be replaced.

The bathroom is tiny and rusty.

Would love to have
that totally refreshed.

And then the bedroom layout.

There's just no privacy.

They don't all have
doors right now.

There are three bedrooms
inside, plus the bunkhouse.

If we can make
the bunkhouse functional,

I'd be okay with dropping
down to two bedrooms inside.

So then other people can stay
outside in the bunkhouse.

My dad still comes
up here a lot.

And we have a boat that
we pay to store every year,

so it'd be great if we
could find extra storage

and find a way to get
that boat in there too.

So, what are you looking
for, for the bunkhouse?

[Ashley] See green wall?

Oh, I think we could do that.

[Ashley] Miles, what
are you looking for?

Well, I'll tell you,

this sweet lady has been
so great, I really think

- like a wood-fired oven, a proper bread oven...

would be proper for her.

She makes the best bread.

she deserves that.

That would be my special
request for you guys.

[Chase] Structural issues,

windows on the front,
update the bathroom.

You're okay with, you know,
reconfiguring the bedrooms

to take advantage
of the bunkhouse.

Seafoam walls for the bunkhouse.

Venus flytraps.

[all chuckling]

Bread oven.
I think that's everything.

How much bread do you have
to put into this project?

Well, I'd say our budget
would be around $50,000.

Okay. Realistically,

ten weeks, we could probably
have this completed.

- [Craig] Great.
- And $50,000 should get you right there.

We just need a set of keys.

[Emily] My dad's a great guy.

He has worked
so hard his whole life.

He always just wants
to do good for other people.

He is so not concerned
about taking care of himself.

So, being able to do this for
him as well as for our family

is a huge part of it for us.

[Chase] On the exterior
of the Reisner camp,

we are painting
all the siding, new windows,

moving the entry,
redoing the front deck

and the back deck.

Updating the bunkhouse,
building a boat shed,

and fixing up the base
of the old firepit

in order to install
the bread oven.

-[Ashley] Oh!
-[Ryan] ♪ Dun-dun-dun! ♪

[Chase] Floors are
duct-taped together.

[Ashley] Look at this kitchen.

Feels way bigger inside
than it looks outside.

Doesn't look that bad.

Mmm-hmm.

[Chase] We may have
to do an steel I beam here.

[Ryan] Really? How come?

[Chase] How else can you
get that swoop out of it?

[Chase] My biggest
concern with this camp

moving forward is probably
how to support the roof structure,

where it's, you know, kind of open
and suspended in front of the fireplace.

[Ryan] This is bad.

Those seams should've been
like way overlapped and...

That's why you guys are the
carpenters. I do not see that at all.

I do not see that at all.

In just two 2 by 6's.

[Ryan] In theory, the post
should go right here.

[Chase] I think that'll be...

probably a big challenge
for us figuring out

how to get those
two areas supported

without having posts in the middle of
the kitchen or in front of the fireplace.

[Ryan] This is the main bedroom.

[Ashley] But then there's
a bedroom back here.

[Ryan] What a weird design!

And that goes back to the next
bedroom back there, yeah.

- [Ryan] Not much privacy.
- [Ashley] Strange. So someone's sleeping in here,

but to get in this bedroom, you
gotta walk through their bedroom.

But the bathroom is
definitely an issue. It's small.

[Chase] On the inside
of the Reisner camp,

we are going from three small
bedrooms to two good-sized bedrooms.

Moving the back entrance
to allow for a larger bathroom

enlarging the kitchen
and new windows

across the water side
to replace all the rot.

Yeah, the bunkhouse
needs some color, huh?

This is in worse
shape than anything.

[Ashley] It's small.

[Ryan] Not a lot of room
in here, needs some love.

[Ashley] I think
it's gonna be adorable.

There's a little rot
over here, but that's minor.

[Chase] That's
the cherry on top.

[Ashley] Let's call the guys.

- [Chase] Nice-looking camp.
- [Ryan] Yeah, huh?

[Chase] Welcome
to the Reisner camp.

[Ryan] We are back
at Pitcher Pond

and it is hot and not
picture-perfect weather.

Not a lot going on outside.
The roof's in good shape.

The cedar shakes,
we're going to leave.

You know, maybe stain and replace
anywhere we replace windows.

Jack and level underneath.

Maybe do a little tree work,
just kind of...

Get them away,
but this bunkhouse,

it's got bunks in it.

But they've never actually
used it as a bunkhouse.

[Dixie] Okay.

[Chase] The daughter would
like it to be seafoam green

and the son would
like something red

and something
with Venus flytraps.

- [laughs]
- [Jedi] Okay.

Make a bed that just... [gulps]
swallows him up. [all laughing]

Here with the guys today
to start doing demo

and you know really get
to take a good look at it.

[Ryan] Big issue is the roof's
sinking drawing the beam down.

[Chase] We want to pull apart
the walls, in between the bedrooms

and just kind of see what
we have for space after that.

[Chase] We got inside.

Ryan started on
the front window.

Jedi and Dixie started on
opening up the kitchen side.

I started in the bedroom

to figure out what we can
do as far as moving

the closet and getting
more space for the bedroom.

Camp owners asked
for a large bathroom.

They're fine with taking away
one of the three bedrooms

and going down to two bedrooms.

So, my thought process is if we
shift the doorway a little bit this way,

we can take all this space
and make that bathroom,

which would be
a good-sized bathroom.

That's-- Why did they do that?

I just started taking
the trim part on the front.

And I was kind of intrigued
of how the window worked too.

You know,
it's kind of pieced together.

[Ryan] Oh, yeah, this
is a lot of rot right there.

I need someone strong
and handsome like Dixie.

Once I started peeling
the floorboards off,

I could tell there's
water damage.

So much easier with
a strong and handsome man.

I popped that mop board off.

Flipped it over, the back was
all rotted out from ants, dry rot.

This is nothing here, look.
This is nothing.

[Dixie] Wow!

Oh, no!

We weren't expecting
any sill work or anything.

So this is kind of a big deal.

I mean, there's nothing
left to this sill.

This is wild.

The camp's 6 feet up on blocks.

The last thing you'd
expect was sill work.

It's the first work
day at the Reisner camp

on Pitcher Pond and I've run
into a bunch of problems already.

And I'm still on one window.

See all that glass? The
block foundation was nothing.

It was just all rotted wood.

They made these windows themselves
thinking they're gonna save money.

It's gonna cost them so much.

Look how much caulk is on that.

Is that plexiglass?

[Chase] I thought the same
thing but I think it's real.

I don't know.
I'm gonna get into this.

We need to know what's going--
Uh-oh, look at that.

This is way high on concrete
and it's still rotted.

Oh, it's glass.

I hear Ryan just constantly...
[imitating Ryan grumbling]

And I knew something
wasn't good.

Ah.

I came out front
and I see him pulling off...

I mean, just pulling out
rot, rot, rot, rot, rot.

And the further he got in,
the worse it really was.

[Ryan] I thought today we're gonna
pop off the trim and we get going.

And I got going on the front
and it was just rotted.

I couldn't leave it. I wanted
to see how far it went.

And I did not think
it was gonna be like that.

That's quite extensive damage.

[Dixie] Luckily, the rot
only went to the...

To the rim joist.

So it's just a matter
of cleaning this up.

Stripping it back,
stripping the nails,

and putting the new
rim joists in.

[Jedi whoops]

[Dixie] We're just
trying to open it up

so we can get it back to being

all open just like
that is over there.

So, we can come up with
a game plan to re-support it.

[Jedi] We knew by looking
at the other side

that this side was exactly the
same thing, just by a few pieces.

So whatever we do
over there to fix that,

we've got to do
over here to fix this.

[Jedi] The inside
of the camp initially

it looked fairly nice, but as
we got pulling some stuff apart,

you could just see that

things were sagging,
things were falling.

And things were
definitely rotten.

- [Ryan] Hey, Mattie, Can I hand you something?
- Yeah.

Let it...

I knew I was gonna break
the window taking it apart,

but I didn't wanna
shatter it and make a mess

'cause the dogs
are usually here.

There's people here,

there's gonna be kids here
running around in bare feet.

As long as I don't shatter it,
that's my only goal today.

I can get it out of there,
just move--

[Ryan] No, no, no.
We got dogs and kids.

Dixie, you gotta be impressed
with my patience here.

[Dixie] I am
impressed with that.

[Dixie yelling] Hey!

All that work,
it's always the last one.

You wanted it to happen?

[Ryan] No,
I didn't want it to...

This last piece is glued in.

I wanted to do without
breaking anything.

Well, maybe not breaking, but
without shattering anything.

I gotta clean that up.
[sighs]

[Ryan] You guys,
how did I do on patience?

- You?
- Yeah.

How many did you break?

Not enough.

[grunting]

[Ryan] I didn't
break one window.

I got all that done

and of course,
there's the last piece broke.

Nice breeze.

[both laugh]

Definitely looks worse
than it really is.

If we didn't have to
reframe windows there,

it would definitely be
an unexpected added cost.

We were just, you know,
trying to close that wall in.

Because it gets down
to that foundation,

we can get a good
plate on those blocks.

Reframe up from there to get
good support for the floor system

for the walls, for the big windows that
they want to keep there anyways so...

It's not totally
a budget-killer.

You know there's still quite
a bit more demo to do.

Get this replaced,

get windows ordered,
we kind of know,

pretty much, what we need for
windows in this opening, the rest of it.

Get some steel I beams ordered.

We know what we need.

- [Dixie] We need a lot.
- [Chase] All right.

[Chase] So we got a good
idea of what we need

for beams, I think we're
gonna end up going with

steel I beams to support
the roof system

because they want to keep
both sides still open.

Next week is definitely
still more demo.

We've got to strip that
back a lot further.

We might as well kind of support
everything, get underneath,

jack, level and strip back a
few more of the bedroom walls

in order to get stuff reframed
and moving forward.

[Dixie] Oh, yeah.

Almost there, five-and-a-half...

We haven't been back to
the Reisner camp since demo.

What we got going on today
is we're working on

levelling the camp
as best we can.

Repairing the foundation

and also repairing all the rot
that we had found on the front end.

[Dixie] Oh, yeah.

[Scott] I knew that was
gonna happen.

I'm glad you got that in there.

[Dixie] It's week two here at, out
on Pitcher Pond at the Reisner camp.

Scott and I are jacking
and levelling today.

The first beam that
we were addressing,

the jack slipped and kicked out

and fortunately for us,

we had a bunch of blocking

and some shims up underneath
it, so nothing came crashing down.

So what Scott
and I are working on...

There was two access
points to the foundation.

And they were a little bigger
than what I would like to see.

They were 12 feet.

And there was no type of header
or any type of framing underneath it.

So, what we have done is we put

a pressure-treated
header, 4 by 6

grabbing the underside
of the outer rim joists.

And instead of setting our
jacks on either end, into dirt,

we made little forms we're
gonna drill and pin with rebar

into the existing concrete.

And then we'll pour little pads.

It'll give something to tie
into the existing foundation

and it'll also give us something
solid to set our jacks on.

We got everything done today.

Camp's all been
jacked and levelled.

The rot underneath the old
windows has been addressed.

We reframed all of that.

We went through and poured
concrete slabs for our headers to sit on.

So we got quite a bit done.

I'm very happy
with what happened.

So, it's week three. Today,
we're here on Pitcher Pond.

Couple things that
are working against us.

It's sweltering hot.

Very close to being unbearable.

The goal today is to get
the metal I beams installed.

We've never really used
metal I beams before

so it's a different material than
what we're used to, but I think

it's really gonna help
the longevity of the camp.

I mean, actually really
straighten the camp up.

Roof lines have disappeared.

Attaboy!
Nice and easy, gentlemen.

Straight up.

[Jedi] The guys
shifted the island today.

We have to put in a temporary
wall to help support

the roof so we could install our

new metal I beams
that we've got.

So the boys are now
finished with the dusty demo.

Miles wants red in the camp.

But I was thinking
why paint a wall or a door

when I can just paint the
whole camp and bunkhouse red?

Now I just need a Venus flytrap.

[Chase] It is week five
at the Reisner camp

and things are
progressing nicely.

Camp has been
jacked and levelled.

Reposted,
so everything's looking good.

We're able to get the foundation

sealed over,
closed in as needed.

So that locks
all the blocks together.

Siding has been stained,
trim has been painted.

All this rot on the front has
been repaired and replaced.

Guys were able to get in steel I
beams to support the roof system.

We enlarged the bathroom,
opened up the kitchen.

Got rid of one bedroom to make
two good-sized bedrooms

and brought the walls up
to give them some privacy.

So you guys got a plan?

I think so.

Of course, there's that one
tree that has to come down.

[Jedi] There's some twist
and turns in it, but...

[Ryan] Yeah, this is where
the boathouse is gonna go.

I think there's barely enough
room for this thing.

We think we got just enough
room for the boat house, huh?

She has to be 15 feet off that.

15 off both lines,
it's a triangle.

And you're gonna drop that.

[Scott] It should
go right that way.

[Ryan] The boathouse is
a pretty extraordinary set-up

because Lincolnville's
very strict

when we're in
the shoreland zoning.

There's one kind of big tree

in the middle that we felt
comfortable taking down.

The building can only go
in one place, in one direction

and still be within the permit.

No, you gotta give
us some more, Jedi.

[Ryan] Oh, there she goes.

[Jedi] We got that bad boy to
drop right where we wanted it.

I think we'll have plenty
of room for our boat storage.

Right now,
we're running a string here

amongst our property
boundary lines.

We want to establish a good line to
know where we exactly have to be.

It's a pretty tight situation,
tight quarters.

So, we've got to pull 15 feet
off from this line.

We'll run a line there.
15 feet from there.

So, he's got a very
small window here

as to where this little boat
storage place can go.

[Chase] This is the Reisner
family, their old firepit.

It's in very rough shape.

And they mentioned that
Emily used to be a baker

and they would love
to have a bread oven.

I'll peel it back, clean it up,

and see if it's something we
could set something on top of.

[Ryan] I'm trying to find
a spot for a boathouse.

We gotta spray paint the lines.

We can't mess this up.

I had to kinda figure out what they were
even talking about when I first showed up.

It had to be 15 feet
from all of the sides.

And it had to be a certain amount
of feet from the power line as well

or something, I don't know.

[Ashley] Which way, this?

- [Ryan] Yeah.

a boat that's really long.

It's a fishing boat.

And the minimum
it can be is 8 by 18

and that's pretty
much what we got.

We have to be 8 feet wide and
we can go about 20 feet long.

[Ryan] 15 off the powerline,
10 off the property lines.

And it's really just a shelter.

We've got to start right from
that first set of marks we made.

Yeah, so you got
that mark right there.

Lot of work to make it happen,
but we feel we can fit it here.

That's a lot of work just to figure
out where we can put a building.

the rest of the building?

The camp looks awesome.

So we are putting in
an outdoor bread oven.

So I was thinking a cool
thing to do would be

to add an outdoor,
like, an herb garden.

So we can just come over here
and pick a little bit of rosemary.

- Pop it into the bread oven.

Or they can reach
their one hand out--

Dude, that's a dream of mine.

And Ryan's got a ton of wood
out back in the burn pile.

[Ashley] So we could just go
pick from that and then maybe--

So, you got the measurements?

So part of the project at the
Reisner camp is to fix the bunkhouse.

There's actually a living
roof up here.

About 3 inches of moss
right there.

And we're gonna clean it up,
we can re-roof it and it'll be fine.

And then we'll start putting the
insulation, and sheathing into it.

Who's in there?

Miles got his fire engine
red in the camp color.

I need to now figure out where I can
put the seafoam green that Layla wanted.

[Ashley] Are you guys putting
up the pine on the whole thing?

[Dixie] Yeah.

Will you be able to do one
accent wall in seafoam?

[Dixie] Yeah.

[Chase] We're kind of held
up on the main camp itself

until windows are here,
the electricians get in.

So it allowed us time to work
on getting the boat shed

prepped and ready.

Get the bunkhouse jacked,
levelled, painted.

We'll put a new floor in it.
We closed in the walls.

So, it's no longer a toolshed.

It's actually gonna
be a bunkhouse

that the kids will feel
comfortable and want to sleep in.

I think now it's just a matter
of getting these decks stained.

You know, it's coming
together nicely.

We got the boathouse
figured out.

After all that...

surveying, laying out
parallel lines, Ashley's help,

we found a spot.

I think we're good for today.

Sweet.

Schmitty, say it.

[Ashley] The Reisners
are big into cooking.

So my idea is for them
to have an herb garden.

- Nick! How's it going?
- Ash! Great.

[Ashley] So, I was noticing
Ryan's burn pile the other day

and I kept on
thinking to myself,

"I really should just pull some of
these boards and make something."

Why would he burn this?

The guys are all super busy.

But I was able
to steal Nick away.

Nick is always good
for helping me out.

So, I'm lucky to have him.

[Nick] Edge to edge, we'll go, like,
23 so we can allow room for gaps.

We measured it out at camp.

We grabbed the wood
from the burn pile.

We cut the boards to length.

And then we built some boxes.

Put the four boxes, one, two,
three, four, onto the backing.

And it's gonna look great
once we install it at the camp.

- [Ashley] Drill her, baby.
- [drilling]

Yeah! Put it right there,
if you don't mind.

- [Nick] That looks great.
- [Ashley] That looks--

That is sharp, I love it.

It's gonna look
great on the house.

It's gonna provide
so much delicious herbs...

- I know.
- for them to cook with.

[Ashley] It's gonna be right
outside the kitchen door.

Right next to
the outdoor bread oven

that we're gonna install so
they could just you know,

pop their hand out, grab a
little herbs, sprinkle them in.

[smacks lips] Munch on
them. Who knows? [chuckles]

It's nice, I wish I had one.

So, it's week six
at the Reisner camp.

So the camp is pretty close
to be totally closed in.

[Dixie] Okay, you
hold right there.

The windows are going in,
doors are going in.

Electrical's done,
insulation done.

So the outside is getting really
closed to being wrapped up

which will just leave kind
of finishing off the interior.

[Dixie] Today, we have
a whole bunch of subs here.

Tomorrow, when we show up,

we can just push forward with
putting sheathing boards on.

Today, I am working on

the base for the
wood-fired bread oven.

Last time I was here,
I took it all down,

got it to a good point where
we can build off from.

And I'm ready to mix it up
and start rebuilding.

Whew!

So today, I'm gonna
build up the perimeter.

Then fill in the center
to set the new bread oven on.

I'm gonna fill in that to
a level with crushed stone.

A little bit of water
goes a long way.

Yeah, I think that's good.

I think we're on really good pace
to get this camp completed on time.

Trees have been removed
for the boat storage building.

The bunkhouse is
pretty much wrapped up.

And it will be ready.

[Ryan] Back at the Reisner camp.

It's the last week and we
got a lot of work to do.

Today, we're finally getting
to do the boat shed.

It's very important that we stay at the
15-foot setback from all the property lines.

Today, first thing
we're going to do

is bury our pucks,
our footing with some foam.

And then we're going
to build the boat house.

Very, very simple design.

So, as you can see,
it's all laid out.

We've put more time
in laying out this build

than we have
anything in our life.

[Jedi] I have an issue.

Typical.

We've got ourselves a big
stump and a tree right here.

The bar's not getting
through it.

Sawzall's really having
a hard time.

[Ryan] This might
be a big problem.

Obviously, yesterday
we didn't listen to this

and now we're
paying for it today.

[chuckles]

[Dixie] Oh, look at that!

Started digging
all our puck holes

and we came upon
that front right puck

where there was the tree stump

that we had cut down
from the previous week.

Could've spent
a little bit more money

had the stump grinder come in.

But we had Brad
the stump grinder.

We were able to get that
where we needed it.

Then that was our main puck.

We started with that measurement

and we went right from there,
followed ground height and grade.

Nice.

[Ryan] You guys
got to toenail it

with the smallest
screws to lay out.

Then they're gonna take the
10-inch legs and really hold it together.

I don't think any of us really
knew what it was gonna look like.

No one was really picturing
it, but now we can see it.

It's coming together.

We got the two outside walls on,

this is just a simple,
simple boat storage house.

He can back his
boat all the way in,

it'll have sheathing
on all three sides

and barn doors on the front.

Simple roof structure.

They might be able to hang
some stuff on the walls

This is the bunkhouse that we
are painting seafoam green inside.

It's week seven
at the Reisner camp.

And there's a lot
of things happening.

I feel like, let's just do
this one wall seafoam.

[Ashley] We have
a nice seafoam green.

We're gonna paint
one wall seafoam green.

The other walls
are beautiful pine.

So I feel like just
doing one wall

so the seafoam green's
not overwhelming,

it will just add a nice accent.

We are using this color
because this is the color

that the little girl chose.

She wanted her wall
to be seafoam green.

So we're doing it.

I don't even think Bill knows
what color we're painting.

He called it about
five different colors.

[Bill] Turquoise.

[Ashley] Seafoam green.

Seafoam green.

[Bill] Pea soup green, huh?

He couldn't get
it through his head

it was seafoam green.

Bill's a good painting partner I've been
painting with Bill for about 20 years now.

I don't know why
I keep on inviting him back.

Just because
he's a good partner.

[Ashley] Well, I think
it looks good.

[Chase] The wood-fired bread
oven was pretty simple.

Pretty lightweight, so just

a few screws and bolts
put together and done.

This is the base,
this is the cooker.

Things are coming
along really quick.

but we know the parameters
we gotta work in.

So we're just putting 18-inch
high barn doors.

Can't go below it.

We're just discussing what's gonna keep
the bottom from kicking out in the front.

So we'll take some of our
concrete pins for doing foundations

and we'll drill through
the bottom point,

we'll drive them in with
a sledgehammer.

Probably a good job for Brad,
so, you know...

- I'll flip you for it.
- I don't know who'd win.

lately and I was inspired and...

and I was, like, from way up
high, they looked like clown shoes.

[Ashley] That wasn't
even a race. [laughs]

He could have had some
weights on, toolbelts on,

been carrying Ashley
and I still would've lost.

[Ashley] Over
the last four days,

my team and I have been able
to come in and get it all decorated.

I absolutely love the
bunkhouse, it's so adorable.

And then the kitchen
is brighter.

Bigger, brighter.

Overall, the camp
is just updated.

Chase and I are bringing in the
herb garden that Nick and I made.

We just need to install
it on the camp

and put in the herbs.

This is all out of Ryan's
scrap wood.

He was about to burn this.
Look at how cute it is.

It's got character.

I got some beautiful herbs,
let's put her up.

It's the last thing
we have to do.

[Chase] Francis came in,
did a general clean up.

Put down drip beds,
couple planters,

planted some mums out front.

You can grab one
of the Venus flytraps

and put it up there

and I'm gonna put the other
two in the bunkhouse.

Let's go do this.
Then we're done.

[Chase] It's the final
afternoon at the Reisner camp.

We had $50,000

and ten weeks to get
this project completed.

So what do we want? The
windows, the floor and the bathroom?

The windows, the floors,
the bathroom, the bedrooms.

- The bunkhouse!
- [Emily] And the bunkhouse.

[Chase] They asked
for going from

three small bedrooms in the main
house to two good-sized bedrooms.

And incorporating a bunkhouse.

They wanted the color red,
seafoam green.

They wanted boat storage,
they wanted a bread oven.

- [Ashley] Venus flytrap.
- [Chase] Venus flytrap.

So I think we gave them
everything they were looking for.

[Ashley] Come on in!

[Emily] What? It's red!

Oh, my God!
Look at the windows!

- [screaming in excitement]
- Oh, my God!

It's all red! Oh, my goodness!

- [Layla] Oh, wow!
- [all cheering in excitement]

[Craig] I had no idea what
these guys were gonna do.

To come up to something
that looks brand-new,

you feel like
you've won the lottery.

Look at the path!

There's a path to the dock.

[Chase] Hopefully,
it was worth the wait.

[Emily] Oh, wow!

This color's amazing!

[all talking excitedly]

[Ashley] Somebody wanted red.

- [all talking excitedly] - Red.
Isn't that what you wanted?

[all chuckling]

And a nice door, a new door.

- [Emily] My gosh.
- [Craig] Yeah, new windows, new door.

You know we started from
the ground up, got underneath,

jacked and reposted
as necessary.

Closed in the block foundation,
sealed up any cracks.

We found a lot of rot
on the front of these windows.

[all laughing]

[Gary] Well, the weather
comes in from the ocean here.

[Ashley] As you saw,
your oven over there.

-[Emily] I see that. Oh, my gosh!
-[Ashley] So we decided

to make you just a little planter so
you could have some nice, fresh herbs.

- Yes! Oh, my gosh!
- Yeah.

Chuck them in the bread.

- Chuck them in whatever you bake.
- [Emily] Yes!

I'll definitely be making
some herb sourdough, yes!

- I'm so excited, yes!
- [Ashley] We'll be back for it.

[Emily giggling]

[Ashley] You guys
ready to go in, kids?

- [Craig] Oh, wow.

- Look at the floors.

Look at the kitchen!

We had this collar tie
holding everything together.

But there was so much weight
and it's such a wide span,

we decided to go
with the steel I beams.

- Make sure everything's solid, supported.

[Chase] It straightened
that roofline right out.

We ended up going
from three bedrooms to two.

- [Emily] Yes.
- [Chase] And we bumped

the entry door this way and so
that allowed us to kind of

push everything back to give
you a little bit more kitchen space.

[all agreeing]

You didn't need the wall to
support the ceiling anymore.

- Exactly.
- [Emily] Oh, wow, that's amazing.

[Chase] Feel free to go check
out the new bedrooms.

[Emily] Can't wait.

Layla-bo-bayla,

[Emily] Oh, my gosh, let's go!

[all talking excitedly]

Oh, my gosh, it's an
actual bedroom with walls.

[Gary] I can't go into
the other room from here.

The bedrooms are so bright.

and now just to go in there, it
just feels calm and peaceful.

And like a nice place to be.

- [Craig] I'll be spending a lot of time in here.

actually get inside here. Wow!

to imagine, isn't it?

- [Emily] Look at all the space in here.

The really fun stuff is outside.

Wow! Look at this.

[Craig] I don't know
how they do these things.

[Emily] Guys, this is
the bunkhouse!

[Layla] Miles, look!

Oh, wow, look at the color.

[gasps] What?

The bunkhouse has been a dream
of mine since I was a kid,

you know, I was just a few
years older than Layla.

So you know, you dream
about coming up and staying

in your own special little spot

that's just for the kids.

So for them to have that space,

I mean, it's great.

Who gets to sleep
on the top bunk?

- Me.
- No, me.

[all laughing]

The green color in there is
exactly what she was envisioning.

- It matches her personality perfect.
- Yeah.

- This was Emily's big request.
- Oh, really?

[Emily] This is a special
surprise, this one.

[Gary] Perfect.

Look at this.

[Gary] I wasn't sure if the lot
back there was big enough,

but it worked out well,
it's beautiful.

[Chase] Back the boat
right in there.

- Excellent.
- More than I was expecting.

[all exclaiming]

[Ashley] Let's go back
to the fun bunkhouse.

- Yes, let's do it!
- [all laughing]

I have wanted
to fix various things

and I couldn't find
people to do it.

Emily said she was gonna
get Maine Cabin Masters.

And I said if she can do that,
I'll go with it.

And it worked out well.

So we had $50,000
and ten weeks to get,

you know,
two good-sized bedrooms,

jacked, leveled,
replace the windows,

bunkhouse for the kiddos,
a boat shed and a...

bread oven.

I think we did it.

[all] Yeah.

We just need to
hand the keys back.
