All Out of Love

Episode 9

I already have an appointment this weekend.

Put it off.

Is this related to the discussion with Director Su?

When Wang Dehui left, he took many key personnel

from the company. It's thanks to your

efforts that we were able to stabilize the situation.

However, the board has still been bringing up their concerns.

Director Su has an influential position in the company.

And he's always supported the Cheng family.

We keep his friendship in our hearts.

Our relationship with Director Su must be maintained.

Yes. Director Su is a man of good reputation. He is truly

a good battle companion.

Director Su's daughter happens to be coming back this weekend.

You've known Su Man since you were a kid.

She is Director Su's beloved daughter.

If you develop your relationship, it will be of help in the future.

Do you understand what I mean?

I understand, but...

Grandpa, I really don't think this is necessary.

We've discussed this before. I will listen to you with regards to Shifeng,

but I will handle my relationships myself.

The last time I arranged for you to meet Ms. Shen, you weren't willing to see her.

You young people value your freedom.

Even if you have other relationships outside,

I will turn a blind eye to them.

But I will tell you this. If someone wants to enter the Cheng household,

and become a wife of the Cheng family,

she must be of equal social status.

This way she'll be beneficial for your career.

These are the customs left to us by our forefathers, and there is reason to them.

I know. Grandfather, I understand your thinking,

but these are old idealogies.

My plan is, after letting Shifeng get back on track,

I will hire a professional manager to handle its business affairs.

Don't even think about it!

How can we trust outsiders?

The future of the Cheng family depends on you alone.

Tianen definitely can't be counted on.

Look at him. He can't even take care of himself.

Tianen is naturally kind and he's very smart.

If you would give him a chance, he would surely earn your respect.

I don't need to hear these excuses.

We'll talk about Tianen later.

Grandfather, don't be angry.

I do have something on this weekend.

If there's nothing else, I'll head back now.

Tianyou, these are the concert tickets you wanted.

Little Sun is really hot right now.

I had to pull all of my strings to get these few tickets.

Good job.

Brother, you're back.

Tianen. How have you been? You look like you're in a good mood.

I've been pretty good. I've been seeing my girlfriend.

Girlfriend?

Concert tickets?

Brother, you have time to watch a concert these days?

A friend asked me to buy them.

It's about time.

Then I'll be going. I'll come back another day to see you. Let's go.

[Hope That You Are Well]

Mister.

Don't you need to get to class?

And don't you need to get to work?

Why wouldn't I need to get to class? I come here to work everyday right after class.

Take a day off. There's a concert this weekend.

See...if you would like to go with your classmates.

I don't have time. I'm working and I have to prepare for finals.

Then, I'll just throw away these concert tickets.

How about...you give these 2 tickets...

to me. I'll sell it.

What do you think all day?

Study well. Do my part-time job well.

Earn money well. Thanks.

What time is it just now? You're already up like you're on steroids. You don't want to sleep a bit longer?

I've thought about it. My brother does have a reson for getting mad at me.

Hence, I must strive harder in my studies.

Let my whole family see that I didn't disappoint them.

Stop pressuring yourself too much. Relax a little.

Look, you're doing part-time jobs, going to the Warm Winters Society to take care of elderly people,

and also studying so hard here. Who else are like you?

I have to.

I must exert more effort to get high grades in this semester and let my brother see me in a different light.

Sleep early once you're done studying then. I'll continue sleeping.

♫ While you are by my side, memories have covered your face ♫

♫ Your smiling face is the most beautiful poem ♫

♫ The past replays one by one ♫

- Hey, immediately give it to me after you're done calculating these.- Oh, okay.

♫ You told me that I must be strong under the moonlight ♫

♫ Time dispersed the youth ♫

♫ Dreams got filled up while in love ♫

♫ Promises lightly floated down to the side of your feet ♫

♫ That is the most beautiful encounter we had in our lives ♫

♫ I kept looking for your familiar face among the crowd ♫

♫ Using up my energy to run hard just to see you once again ♫

♫ The flower blooming magnificently among the thorns withered and blossomed at the cliff ♫

♫ It's love that made me brave ♫

♫ I am your most beloved little kid, accompanying you to watch a sky full of stars ♫

Brother.

You two chat first. I'll go ahead to our classroom.

This is lunch and Yakult.

Eat more. Look at how thin you are now.

If I want to eat, I'll just eat in the canteen. Don't bring me food anymore.

Why? Are you treating me like a stranger now?

No.

Have you been doing well lately?

Quite well.

A few days ago, I went to your dorm to look for you. You were not around. Where did you go?

Didn't I already say it? I'm now an adult. Stop meddling with my matters.

Don't you also have your own stuff?

Didn't I also say that no matter how old you get, you will always be my most cherished little sister.

Jin Ling. Look!

- What do you think?- Landscape contest?- Correct. Landscape contest. Look at the prize.

I have one summer break to draw it. I surely will join.

So you are not going home for the holidays?

Yes, I won't go home anymore. I must make an achievement and let my brother see it, so he'll stop saying that my studies were all in vain.

I just happen to have an internship in media. I won't be going home too. We can keep each other company.

That's great. I was afraid that I would be on my own.

Jin Ling. Could I borrow your phone? I would like to call my mum.

Take it. Thanks

It's almost holidays. When are you coming home?

This holidays, I may not be coming back.

Not returning? Why?

Because I want to enter a competition. Being here is more convenient for research and preparation.

Moreover, I would like to work.

How about your brother?

He should be.

You have to take care of your health.

Sure. You too.

Bye. bye.

Here.

We can keep each other company.

When are you coming home? I will go home but probably not right now.

Liang Sheng. Don't worry. I will take care of Jiang Sheng.

Then we'll have to trouble you.

You better eat more and take care of yourself.

Don't worry. Jiang Sheng has grown up.

Eat more rice and meat.

Keep warm in the hostel as it gets cold at night.

Do call us when you can.

Eat more!

- Jiang Sheng, where are you taking me?- Don't open your eyes first. You'll know once we arrive.

- Brother, is this place beautiful?- Yes.

Brother, this is the most beautiful place here in Weijiaping.

Brother, are there flowers in your city? ♫

We have flower shops in our city.

You still have to buy flowers? Look, there are so many flowers here, so why still buy one?

Brother, do you know what I like the most?

- Braised pork.- Other than braised pork, I like flowers the most.

When I grow up, I also want to open a flower shop.

It's done.

Jiang Sheng, you've become more beautiful.

- Really?- Yes.

Jiang Sheng!

Jiang Sheng!

What are you looking at? Being in a daze.

Here.

Nothing. I am thinking about the flower field in Weijiaping.

You miss home? Why then did you not go home with your brother?

When I was little,

I would always go with my brother to see the flower field.

Afterwards, he told me that a flower shop is a place that especially sell flowers in the city.

Hence, since I was little, I have this one ambition.

- That I must open a flower shop when I grow up.- Open a flower shop?

It's fine to shop in a flower shop, but opening a flower shop...

- No...- Why not?

How would boys give you flowers then? They can't really buy flowers at your shop and then give it to you, right?

- So awkward.- Annoying.

Fresh flowers usually lose their nutritional source once you separate them from their original body,

hence, we must add a lot of nutrients to preserve the brightness of the color of the flower.

Boss, I heard that the water source to culture the flowers is very important.

Yes, the pH of the water must be preserved between 3.5 to 4.5. This way you can limit the growth of microbes.

But we are really not that particular in usual flower arrangements.

Come, you give it a try.

Hello, what flowers do you like?

I already did a rough investigation on Jiang Sheng. She's currently a university freshman studying Landscape Design.

Her grades are not bad. She got a scholarship. Her family is a bit poor.

Just this summer, she took 2 part-time jobs. One is being a shop attendant in that Yilin Flower Shop. The other one...

...is being a cashier at Hope You Are Well.

Ning Xin is also involved here?

Quite interesting.

Here. I'm borrowing some flowers to offer to Buddha. My boss said that these are to be discarded.

Wow! Thanks.

You are the first girl to give me flowers.

Who then is the fist boy?

I read in books that all girls love flowers, so I bought you a bouquet. Don't know if you like them.

I like them...

A boy who has a warm smile. I'll look for a vase to put these in.

So exquisite.

Really never thought that you'll do a part-time job in a flower shop.

- Don't you still have a cashier job in a bar?- Doing two jobs will earn me more money.

Hey, do you still remember that I told you that my childhood dream is to open up a flower shop and be a qualified florist?

Now, someone is paying me salary to learn. How can I not be happy?

You are so practical.

Hey.

- I'll get you some band-aid.- It's fine. Let me tell you that this is from getting pricked by roses. It's an occupational injury.

No, what if it gets infected? Let me put this on you.

I love flowers, but I never understood them. In this part-time job, I learned a lot.

- Thanks. - I've never seen someone still being happy from getting hurt.

You're making your design draft?

The design that I would be submitting for the contest must be revised numerous times. I must start drawing earlier so I can be at ease.

I noticed that you're busier during this vacation than when we have classes.

- Don't touch your wound.- Don't worry.

You had me come today just to do this?

A customer suddenly ordered for 100 bouquets of flowers and there are no one in the shop. My classmates have all gone home for vacation, so I can only think of you.

Is it 'you can only think of me' or 'you only think of me'?

Stop being a shameless show-off.

Why is there a yarn ball?

This is floral art. You don't understand.

- Isn't it just sticking this in?- Yes.

Aren't you supposed to be working in the bar right now?

Isn't it the summer vacation? I just want to do some more part-time jobs and earn more money.

If you push yourself this hard, can your body take it?

Don't worry. My health is very good.

- Is this fine?- Hey, Uncle,

you have helped me a lot today. In the future, if you need anything, just tell me. I'll help you if I can.

- You said it.- Yes.

Okay.

Here, treat this as your salary for today. For you.

- You are so sincere.- Yes.

Enjoy.

Grandpa Cheng, so this is the tea you like. My friend just happened to give me some Dongding Oolong. I'll bring it for you next time.

Is that so?

Dongding Oolong. It's fragrant and unique.

How would I know these things? You're really knowledgeable.

This daughter of yours was taught well.

Don't praise her. She can't compare to Tianyou.

Grandpa Cheng, can I ask for one little favor?

Go ahead.

See, I always call you "Grandpa Cheng. Grandpa Cheng.". It's awkward. Can't I just call you "Grandpa"?

Su Man.

How can you be so impolite?

Su Man has always liked being with Tianyou since she was a kid.

She doesn't like to listen to anything we say.

But if it's something Tianyou says, then it's an imperial edict.

But I must say, Sir.

If Su Ma switches to calling you "Grandpa",

then it is as it should be.

Then I'll take it that you agree.

All right.

"Grandpa" does sound intimate.

Grandpa. Grandpa. Grandpa.

All right, all right.

Mister, why are you here again?

What you owe me must be returned sooner or later.

Return what?

- Why are you dragging me? - Don't move.

Let go!

Hold on.

Let's go.

Come.

It's time for payback.

Good Luck.

What a waste.

Do you think we're good like this?

Look at how old we are. Every time we meet, we fight like little kids. Don't you feel embarrassed?

Embarrassed? The one embarrassed is you.

I say, Mister.

You're already this old. You are you. I am me. Don't say "we" anymore, okay?

We have a generational gap. Got it?

- Seems like we'll never come to a cease fire.- You're still saying it!

Hey!

Mister, can we have another pint later?

We.

What were you up to? Why are you so tired?

You're back. Quick. Help me massage. My back is killing me.

- Where?- Here.

It's fifty for one massage.

That wretched Cheng Tianyou put me to work the entire day.

My arms and my legs don't feel like mine.

How dare he wreck a flower of the motherland.

How am I a flower? I'm just a housemaid.

I helped him clean up a house the entire day.

- I'm so tired.- Who would believe that? Cleaning a house?

He helped me pack the flowers. I had to repay his kindness, don't you think?

You really know how to return a favor.

Let me ask you. When you're with Cheng Tianyou, are you happy?

Thinking about it,

at least when I'm with him, I'm not reserved. Sometimes, I'm even relaxed.

Look at your progress.

You're happy just like this. Then do you like Cheng Tianyou or not?

Hi Mom. I didn't buy a phone. This isn't mine.

How have you been?

Are you and dad both home?

Okay. I'm going to send some money over soon. Check that you receive it.

Okay. I'm borrowing this phone, so I can't talk for long. I'm going to hang up. Take care of yourselves.

- Thank you.- You're done talking?

- Don't you want to talk a little longer?- There's no need.

A little earlier today, someone came by looking for you.

Looking for me? Who was it?

I don't know. He said he's a friend. When he saw that you weren't around, he bought a ginger lily and left.

Then I'll get back to work.

Vice-President Cheng, President Cheng is at a meeting. Why don't you wait a for a little while?

- Where did you get this flower from?- President Cheng bought them from a flower shop himself.

All right. You can get back to work.

- This flower looks quite nice, Old Wang.- It is quite nice.

Who is more important to my brother? Me or that girl?

How can she compare to you?

Lao Wang, if he had to choose between the two of us, who do you think my brother would choose?

Does this need to be said? It would obviously be you.

Is it all right?

Brother, I met a girl recently.

- Where did you meet her?- In the school's library.

And then?

That day,

my blanket fell on the ground. I tried to reach for it, then she helped me pick it up and even covered me.

She was completely unfazed by my legs. Brother, don't you think she's great?

She sounds like a very kind girl.

Brother,

I really like her, but I'm thinking won't she mind my legs?

Don't presume where you stand.

Try getting to know her. Then just try your best to be yourself with her.

I think she'll slowly come to value you and appreciate your personality.

I think so too.

Tell me more about her.

She...She's a freshman. And her hair is really long.

She's got a carefree personality.

Oh yeah. She often has a a band-aid on her leg.

Next time, you should buy tickets earlier. Standing is so tiring.

Let's go.

You're back.

- You were here? - Yes.

I worked too late yesterday.

The dorms were close. Thank goodness I can stay here.

We were standing all the time, I'm exhausted. Oh, your brother bought this pomelo for you.

Pomelo?

You didn't take this from Weijiaping?

Stop teasing me.

In this entire world, only Weijiaping can grow this pomelo?

Let me tell you, this time you didn't go back, I was really bored.

Your brother squats at that Qingshui bridge all day and everyday.

Watching him squat there makes me want to go to the bathroom. Look at you.

Your brother waited for you all summer, why can't you just go back to see him?

Durian meeting stinky tofu, not one is budging.

It's the best statement to describe you two.

Try it.

You're just back and you're already asking for a slap.

It's so sweet.

Whatever your brother buys tastes really good.

Of course.

Back then, you were an excellent student.

Now, you are still Yuhua's pride.

It has been so many years, you are still worried about your alma mater. It's really rare.

You flatter me. This school feels close and dear to me.

What about this?

Why don't you have lecture someday?

I heard that you were studying abroad for a few years.

You even started your own company. You must have a lot of valuable experience.

Come and teach your juniors.

I really hope that in future with can have such outstanding talents.

Okay, I am extremely honored.

- Good, then I will arrange it. - Okay.

When the time comes, I will inform you in advance.

No problem.

Do you still remember the Warm Winters Society?

I remember.

That was the society you started a long time ago.

It is still very active right now.

I actually came here today to discuss with you about the Warm Winters Society.

It's like this. I hope to work with this school

and start a Warm Winters charity fundraiser.

Make the Warm Winters Society of Yuhua as an example, and then promote it to the whole city.

With the help of charity funding, we can recruit more university students to join in helping the elderly without families.

That's great!

Then these two days, I will get the person who is charge of this to contact you.

- Good. - We will properly discuss this.

Then I will trouble you.

School is about to start. You won't feel as stuffy anymore.

How can I not feel stuffy? Liangsheng spent all vacation at Weijiaping.

It's rare to get a vacation. For him to go home and visit his parents is very normal.

I will admit. I did make him unhappy.

But he didn't have to give me the cold shoulder, right?

Wasn't it because you did something wrong?

I only wanted him to be a little more concerned about me.

Care a little more about me. I didn't expect things to become this way.

If you do something wrong, you have to apologize.

Apologize? That's tough.

I will loose face.

You want to keep your outward appearance and lose your honor, that is not worth it.

If you lose both your outward appearance and honor, then you will have nothing left.

Jiang Sheng.

Why do you keep hiding from me?

Wasn't the lecture last time enough? I don't want to suffer again.

Jiang Sheng, I'm sorry.

It's all my fault. I hurt you.

Don't be angry with me.

If you want to blame me, blame it on my jealousy.

But I really like Liangsheng.

See him so hurt, my heart really hurts.

Jiang Sheng, I was raised in a family that spoiled me.

I know that I hurt you and Liangsheng.

But I'm really not as bad as you think. Can you forgive me?

You don't actually have to explain to me.

The whole vacation, Liangsheng felt really guilty.

He regrets being so fierce to you back then.

I don't want Liangsheng to be upset.

So promise me, don't be angry with him anymore. Okay?

I will take it as you promised me.

Then, I'm going to class now. Don't be late.

Tianyou, look at this.

After returning, I indeed have business dealings with this company.

Why are they suddenly suing Shifeng for patent infringement?

If it wasn't a misunderstanding, then someone was stirring this up on purpose.

So the only person who wants to make things difficult for us is probably Wang Dehui.

President Cheng, it's about time. We should go.

Okay.

Don't worry. These two days when I'm heading back, I will be sure to solve this problem.
