wash and peel ginger( ginger root is about 3 inches)

cut ginger into pieces & pound them to release its flavors

heat half liter (500 ml) of water

now add pounded ginger( about 2 tbsp)

1 cinnamon stick, 1 cardamom, 2 cloves, 5 crushed black pepper corns

allow to boil for 2 minutes

now add 1/8 tsp of turmeric powder

boil for 2-3 minutes on low flame

squeeze half lemon

add 1tsp of honey or according to your taste
