to monitor migration patterns,

like their reaction

to environmental stimuli.

Their main goal is
to find out how

to basically liquidate them
as a threat

and maybe this could be a small
stepping stone to that end.

operate is a big part of that.

you know, I do think
the promise of a universe

is that all these different
worlds are connected

and it really felt
like a great opportunity

to start tying
some threads together.

but, at the end of the day,
like she is Huck's mother

and she cares about Huck.

And so there really
was something to the idea

of bringing in a character
that we've known before,

but we don't know what
this character is capable of.

So, you were ambitious,
even as a survivor.

I really want the audience
to look at Jadis

and, even though we know who she
is and where she's come from,

we don't really know
what she stands for anymore.

I know that
the Civic Republic is

the last light of the world.

My purpose is to create
a new era on this planet.

It's your purpose, too.

And so that really puts her
at odds with Huck,

who is a former friend.

So she's there, really,

to remind Huck who she was

and to make sure that who she
was is still who she is.

So what's our best way in?

This is the first episode,
you know, we've seen,

since the end of last season,

where Huck and Felix
are actually working together.

They have this mission
and they have to be

on the same side for this,
for it to work.

Wait for my go.

Or don't.

But, really, what this mission

comes down to, for both of them,

is trust...
do they trust each other?

Go! Now.

Felix was stuck in that freezer.

Felix thought that, maybe,
she had changed her mind

and there's...
there's a world where, maybe,

Huck did, for a moment.

Huck, come on, talk to me.

We see her
beside that transformer.

She's about to be exposed
and it's really hitting her,

in that moment,
the choice that she's made.

And, for Felix,
he doesn't know what to believe.

He wants to believe
that she's a good person,

but, in this moment,
he has doubts as well.

Shit!

And it works out
that Huck comes through.

For whatever it's worth,

I am with you.

She's leaving some wiggle room

for herself in that moment.

She's not guaranteeing
that she's on his side.

At least, until I can't be.

She does assure Felix,
but at the same time,

she's assuring him just for now,

so, we'll see what happens next.
