I was born female,
and I never felt comfortable

and it ate away at me
the more I grew up.

The only way to feel like me
was to transition to male.

It's a parent's job
to listen to your child,

even when it's hard
to understand them.

And that brought forth
extreme sadness

at not having understood

what he had been
going through for years.

Daly: In the blind auditions,

Jim and Sasha Allen
joined Team Ariana.

What they do is so unique
and their bond

is so beautiful to see on stage.

ovation in the knockouts.

that I looked up to
and emulated as a vocalist,

and it is such an honor
to be on her team.

the best voices on the show,

Ryleigh just has this
unbelievable energy

is a 23-year-old soul singer.

My name is Raquel Trinidad.

I'm definitely a free spirit,
and I actually moved to Miami

to try to pursue
my music career.

Ariana: Raquel is my soulful
disco pop diva.

When you go for
the higher options,

just trust them and support them
because they're so there.

They feel very free and not
planned as well, which I like.

Her voice is like a time
machine. It can go anywhere.

I started having seizures.

The doctors put me on medication
and I ended up losing my hair.

"The Voice"
boosted my confidence.

It's so focused
on how you sound.

That's a big thing because
I have a very unique look

and a very unique voice.

Daly: Ariana used her only block
on John

after Holly
received a four-chair turn

during her blind audition.

I have been waiting a very
long time to use my block.

My daughter's watching and she's

but in hindsight,
