- [Instructor] The
Capture One Pro interface

can look a little daunting at first,

but it's really a collection
of well organized components.

Let's give those components
some names right now,

and we're going to be exploring
them throughout this title.

At the very top here we
have the cursor tools,

and I find myself using these quite a bit.

For example if I want to use the loop,

I would go here, look at
that, we just have our loop

right there, just like that,

and then I'll show you
a shortcut right now

if you hit the V key it
brings you right back to the

select tool and that is
kind of my home base.

I usually have the select
tool when I'm working

and then go to the other
cursor tools as needed.

So this whole area up here

this is called the toolbar itself.

So this is all sorts of stuff up here,

and we'll be exploring those.

And then these are the
tool tabs, right here.

And we have various tool tabs.

For instance here's the color tool tab.

This is the exposure tool
tab, and we go on and on.

Lots of tools there and we're going

to be having fun with
those, that's for sure.

Now right here in the
middle, this is the viewer,

and this is where we get
the big picture so to speak.

And then down here where
the thumbnails are,

this is called the browser.

And we have some tools for the browser,

for instance we can
search inside the browser,

we can sort our thumbnails via
this popup menu right there.

Pretty cool isn't it? Yeah.

And we can control the
size of our thumbnails

with these little tools right here.

So this is a very dense interface.

I mean there's a lot of stuff
here, that we have to help us.

Now these are called the actual
tools over here on the side.

And then we have viewer mode up here.

And then we have the viewer
sizing right up here.

I usually keep it so it
fits, or right next door,

something like that.

It is nice when it fills up
the whole space isn't it?

(laughs)

So anyways, this is our work area.

This is our tool bench where
we get to sort our images,

view our different images, by
the way speaking of sorting,

when we're over here in the tool tabs

if you go to the far left,

this is where we have
the library tool tab,

and this is where we're going to be doing

a lot of organizing, so
that happens over here.

And then we have the actual
adjustment tools themselves.

And while we're at it, we
might as well take a look at

we have the batch tools, we
have the process tools here,

we have our meta data, that's right here,

look at that, where we can see everything

that's going on with that.

Our styles and presets
right here, brushing tools,

lots of fun there, this
is where sharpening

and noise reduction happened
and our cropping tools,

blend corrections, I mean
there is a lot of stuff here.

It's really terrific. My home
based tends to be right here,

this is the basic set of
tools that I use a lot.

And then also when I'm sorting things

right here in the library.

So we're going to get to all that,

I just wanted to make
it a little comfortable

before I start rattling
off terms and stuff on you.

So let's move on because boy we've got

lots of fun stuff to do.
