For a brief window,

the signal appears to have left behind
a trail of tachyon radiation.

A quantum field like that could imply...

time travel.

Or it could be the byproduct
of cloaking devices or transporters.

Or maybe you're both wrong.

Either way, the only one
with any sort of connection

to these signals is Lieutenant Spock,
who's still a fugitive.

I need both of you to find him,
and I need you to help each other.

from a Starfleet captain, your friend,
in the middle of a rescue mission.
