I'm Bruce "Two Dogs" Bozsum,

chairman of the board of Mohegan Sun.

The name "Mohegan" means "wolf people."

We are part of a tribe
from 600, 700 years ago.

Mohegan Sun opened up
in October of 1996.

The tribe... we didn't have any money.

But our chief went
to Wall Street and said,

"we're gonna open this great business."

"We need to borrow hundreds
of millions of dollars."

We broke the mold
on going to Wall Street.

No other tribe was able
to do that back then.

It all started with Mohegan.

We're also the only tribe in the country

to leave the reservation
and open up a commercial casino.

Right now, we have three locations...

in Uncasville, Connecticut
Mohegan Sun Casino,

in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
we have Pocono Downs Casino,

and Resorts Casino
in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

My mother and father were divorced.

We got to see my father every Sunday,

and spend nights with him.

Not a day goes by where
I don't think about my father

on a Sunday.

Everybody loved that guy.

He was a unique, unique character.

I was working out on Fishers Island,

doing construction,

and I got a call
that he had passed away.

Still can't get over that...

25 years later.

Hmm.

The name "Two Dogs"

came from an old friend of mine,

and his name was "Slow Turtle."

He was a medicine man
for the Wampanoag tribe.

He was part of a blessing ceremony

where names were given,

and I had two labradors,

and he called me "Nis Nahtiah,"
which means "Two Dogs."

I answer to Bruce, Two Dogs, Dogs,

Stanley, my middle name.

At Mohegan Sun, I started at the bottom

and I climbed all the way to the top.

I've worked the jobs from construction,

from building this place,

to the company that made
all the fancy designs

you see hanging from the ceilings.

From there, I worked in our bingo hall.

After that, I worked in our
cultural programs department.

Eventually I was named chairman,

and I'm coming to the end
of my second term.

It's very important
that we leave our businesses

in good shape for the next chairman

and the existing council.

Our great leader Uncas told everybody,

"always look ahead 13 generations."

So every leader has that job.

First of all,

how's everybody feeling
about the project

down there in Pennsylvania?

It's gonna be a, uh, pretty big launch.

We've made some great relationships

with celebrities, actors, singers.

We own a WNBA basketball team,

The casino and tribe are tied together

in the fact that this is our business.

and I'm working
as a high-limit beverage server.

I have relatives that work here.

But most importantly,
my own son Jacob works here

as a host in the high-limit areas.

He doesn't know I'm undercover,

and he hasn't seen my disguise.

So I'm very concerned
that I might run into him

because if he yells "dad"
in the middle of something,

then everybody will know who I am.

How did you get to be Marcus,

Well, right when I was
going back to school,

our house was hit

by a tropical storm in 2011.

- And we ended up...

And we rented a house
for a good eight or nine months.

And good things come out of bad things.

My father and I,
we went and bought a house.

And I'm matching
the mortgage every month,

so we have it paid off
in half the amount of time.

And it worked out for the better.

It really did.

I like that.

When I was in high school,
I was one of those kids

that just didn't care.

I just wanted to have fun
with my friends.

I didn't realize the value
of education, yeah.

And after everything happening,

I can't slack off.

I have to get a degree,
I have to do something.

Because you don't know
what's gonna happen,

just like in 2011.

My outlook on life is there
really isn't negative things.

You learn something from everything.

My goal is to go for pre-law,

and I would like to end up
as an in-house lawyer.

I wanna stay here.

how he got back up on his feet,

got together with his father,

and they pooled their resources
and moved on.

Back hundreds of years ago
when winter came,

struggles were similar
for the Mohegan people.

Everybody moved from their wigwams

into a longhouse,
and that was a way to survive.

I feel extremely lucky
that somebody like Marcus

is out there working for us.

So not only am I the chairman
of the board for Mohegan Sun,

but I'm also a pipe carrier
for the Mohegan tribe.

I have to be there for weddings.

I have to go do ceremonies at funerals,

when a baby is born.

I have to bless land
when we build on it.

It's a very important role.

That's who we are, we're Mohegans.

I'm really trying to concentrate
on my journey.

I have so much going on,

but I have a commitment to renew

one of my friend's wedding vows.

As I take your hands

and I tie them together
with this leather,

it's a symbol of unity and love.

At the end of the day,

that is what is most important,

is maintaining our traditions.

Our amazing casino destinations

can't continue to thrive
if we don't continue to lead.

I've seen there are areas
where we can improve.

as a chair crew member

at the Mohegan Sun
in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Uncasville is reservation land.

This is where the Mohegan tribe
lived all their lives.

The Mohegan Sun Arena
is one big part of our business.

We have 10,000 seats in that arena,

and any given day we can
switch from a basketball game

to a rock show,

and it's the chair crew member's duty

to make sure that everything
goes on time

and on cue.

Looking for Dalton.

Hi, you found Dalton. How are you today?

Dalton, nice to meet you. I'm Sam.

I'm on the chair crew
here at Mohegan Sun,

and we're actually
setting up for a show.

We'll be setting up sections
five, six, and seven today.

Those little boxes
are actually our chairs.

- Every show is different.
- Every show is different.

Right now we're working on section six.

Now the board is your guide

as far as keeping things straight.

You come in with your chair from behind

and match up to the board.

The next chair, Sam,

you're gonna lift to engage
these two holes, okay?

This is a locked unit?

Yeah, these lock.

Most shows it takes us about
21/2 hours to set up

close to 1,000 chairs.

Have you ever fallen behind?

Sometimes groups wanna
make a sound check,

and they don't want
anybody else in here.

So we get kicked out,

and then we have to really chop
that time frame almost in half.

Can you imagine not getting
these out when the doors open?

Right, right.

But it's part of the planning.

A situation like this,
it's probably better

if my floor supervisor's able
to sit in on the meetings.

Right.

And gathers all that information.

And that's where that communication

would really come in.

- That changes your whole day.
- Exactly.

It frustrates me
to hear Dalton talk about

how things change overnight.

And he's not part
of the communication plan.

Sam, we're gonna act as if this group

gonna come out and do a sound check,

and they don't want anybody in here.

They're gonna give us 15 minutes

to finish what we have to do.

You'll be doing the middle,
I'll be doing the ends

in 15 minutes.

Here we go, buddy.

Definitely slow.

Sam had the middle group.
I had the end groups.

I'm running from one side
to the other doing this.

Sam's just traveling along
in the middle.

I was cold a little while ago.

Not anymore, right?

Get my heart rate up, huh?

Five minutes left.

Sam was way out of breath, you know.

And I said, "well, we gotta
continue with this."

Those folks are coming, Sam.

He's running circles around me.

Whew.

I was out of breath,
and I was huffing and puffing.

And he just made it look so easy.

Let me see what we got for time.

2 minutes, 23 seconds over.

Ooh.

Right now Sam has got

a little bit more road work needed

on the chairs.

Let's put it that way.

How did you feel about today?

Tired. It's a lot of work.

Okay, yeah. Yes, it's physical.

That's how I stay in shape
for my tennis.

I'm a big tennis fan.

And my bucket list stuff
is to go to Wimbledon

and see the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament.

It sounds a little crazy to go to...

I always tell people,

you get to a goal,
you just set another one,

the journey is the fun part.

I'm retired now. I'm a retired engineer.

I have a degree
in mechanical engineering.

I've been an engineer for many years.

I grew up in a rough area,

but I was able to get a good education

with the help from my dad and my mom

pushing me, you know.

That becomes paramount, you know?

It's good that you had them, yeah.

I lost my dad a few years back, in 2007.

And I actually had to go
to Barbados to bury him.

Never easy losing a father.

No, it's not.

Of course he's one of my idols in life.

about how much I miss my father too.

Last time I visited my dad's grave

was, like, 2010,

This journey that I'm on

is teaching me more
than I ever expected.

to get into my heart.
