(Episode 59)

I'll make sure to find out what she has,

Are you Mr, Oh?

Yes, I am,

I'm Ms, Kim Haeng Ja's son, I mean,

her foster son, Gil Myung Jo,

Haeng Ja's son?

Yes, she used to brag about her son in medical school, You must be him,

- That's right, - It's very nice to meet you,

I can see why she bragged about you so much, You're handsome,

And you're a doctor,

Haeng Ja is doing well, right?

You haven't heard?

About what?

She underwent surgery after she collapsed, She's still unconscious,

What? When did that happen?

How?

Why haven't I heard anything about it?

Mr, Jung has been careful to make sure the word doesn't get out,

That being said,,,

She collapsed on the 22nd,

and I noticed many phone calls between you two just before that,

I'd like to know what happened around that time,

Where is Ms, Kim now? I should go to see her,

Not now,

Please trust me and do as I say,

I don't understand, How could a person suddenly,,,

Mr, Jung?

Did Ms, Kim really get married?

Yes,

Right, I remember that now,

On the 22nd, we went to the registry office together,

The registry office?

Some bold jerk sold Ms, Kim's building,,,

and moved her property to under his name,

He tried to sell a store too, but he changed his mind,

Is that true?

Yes,

- Does it hurt? - I'm okay,

So he had an eye on all of Haeng Ja's assets?

Did he plan all this from the beginning?

How could a person,,, How,,,

The person you have reached is not available,

Myung Jo, why won't you pick up?

He said he'll go to see Mr, Oh with me, Why hasn't he called me?

Did you think about what I told you yesterday?

Don't be all talks,

Give me the evidence,

Then I'll buy it off you at an expensive price,

Okay?

I clearly heard him say, "evidence",

What could that be?

What evidence,,,

Yes, Chief Director Goo, The document arrived,

Shall I bring it to you now?

It's urgent, Bring it right now, Secretary Jung,

You've been coming here every day,

I'm the owner of this place after all,

Was it Hong Suk? I saw a new employee,

Shouldn't you have reported to me?

Report to you? I have authority over personnel affairs,

By the way, do you know Mr, Hong Suk?

I met him a few times,

I think he has a lot to learn,

What do you mean?

He lacks sociability and seems a little bit arrogant,

What do you think you're doing?

What are you going to accuse me of today?

You're being so rude, What are you doing?

Director Goo, since half of this office is mine,

please give us some privacy,

Show some courtesy next time,

Sit down,

You look like you have a lot to say to me, Go ahead,

I heard you sold Haeng Ja's building behind her back,

I know nothing about that,

What are you talking about?

The building in Paju,

Haeng Ja collapsed because that shocked her too much,

How could you do that? How can a person do such a thing?

My gosh, Why are you being ridiculous?

Bring me evidence if you want to accuse me of doing so,

Mr, Jung!

Are you going to actually punch me this time?

If you do that too often, it might become a habit,

How dare you? You brat,

A no-good person is acting up,

Mr, Jung,,,

What are you doing there, Director Goo?

Why are things so complicated with Ms, Kim's family?

Why? Is someone in your office?

Her son is,

He caused a scene before, I think he has a serious problem with Mr, Jung,

What are you going to do?

It's none of your business,

Why would you meddle in their fight?

You have your own problems, Just worry about yourself,

This also concerns me,

Why does it concern you?

Come to your senses, Hong Suk Pyo,

Can you move aside?

Do you think I brought you here to see you acting like this?

You have no time to waste if you want to return to the head office,

You can't do anything with a mindset like this,

I'll deal with it too,

Hong Suk, go back to work,

No, I have something to do in your office,

Can't you be honest just for once for Haeng Ja's sake?

I don't know what you heard,

but I'm so tired,

What are you doing here?

If you keep going on like this, Haeng Ja would be so pitiful,

Is a mere building more important than Haeng Ja to you?

Gosh, I said I don't want to listen to that anymore,

It's odd, Why isn't there anyone here?

Eun Jo and I won't tell anyone,

Please beg Haeng Ja for her forgiveness,

so she can feel at ease now,

That's enough, How dare you make me look despicable?

I apologize for being rude to you last time,

If you want me to get down on my knees, I'll do it,

- Mr, Jung, - Stop it,

He's not even worth it,

Hey, you!

Let's go,

What's wrong with people working here?

No one respects seniority!

- What is it? - What on earth is Dad doing?

Why do you ask?

Am I not his daughter?

I want to know what's going on in my family too,

Why? You never agree on whatever Dad does,

I decided to try to understand Dad,

You don't need to know,

Then Dad and I might never reconcile with each other,

Do you want me to close my heart again because of you?

Tell me while my heart is open,

Do you mean it?

Yes, I do,

What you want is probably Dad's money after all,

I don't care whatever you say,

Just tell me what Dad is up to,

Then attend every family event from now on,

That way, you'll see what's going on,

How,,, Is that even possible?

Is it possible to sell a building without the owner's knowledge?

It's possible for the owner's spouse,

Every document including her letter of attorney was perfect,

He said Haeng Ja looked devastated when she found that out,

Can't we do anything about it?

I can't believe this,

I have to go back to see Mr, Jung,,,

I mean, that man,

What are you going to do?

I'm too angry and resentful to let it slide,

- I would rather get arrested, - No,

Eun Jo,

Don't do that, Myung Jo,

I am angry and resentful too,

Even so, if you beat him up and get arrested,

do you think he would even budge?

He would rather be glad to see you getting arrested,

You don't have to let him know how you feel,

Neither of you,

Then should I just do nothing?

Getting worked up or angry doesn't solve the problem,

Let's begin with the card,

Card? Are you talking about the credit card?

I asked someone I know,

He said even a spouse can be charged for credit card theft,

Report to the police,

How,,, How?

You can just submit a complaint to the police,

Then leave the rest to the police,

Are you saying that it would be good enough for us?

Now that we know he sold Haeng Ja's building behind her back,

we can just find evidence,

He must have missed something,

Eun Jo is right about that,

He's brazen and bold enough to forge a letter of attorney,,,

and sell Ms, Kim's building,

You must not underestimate him,

I'll file a lawsuit first,

- Is everything okay? - Yes,

Seriously,

It's weird,

Something doesn't feel right,

He was too accurate as if he knew I would visit him,

This is him, Please take a close look,

Okay,

Oh, him,

He's the man who asked,,,

about how much the store in front of the police station would go for,

- You mean its market price? - That's right,

He asked me how much he'll be able to get if decides to sell it now,

That's all he asked, and he left right away,

Are you sure?

He didn't sign any contract, did he?

Goodness, He's not even the owner, He can't sign anything,

He left after asking about its market price,

By the way, you must meet many people all day long,

You have good memory,

Oh, right,

That's right, He told me Mr, Jung only asked about its market price,

so how did he know that he's not the owner?

There's definitely something fishy about this,

Here you go, Ms, Gil,

- What is it? - Mails that we've received,

Why are there so many?

All right, Thanks,

No problem,

Bye, Ms, Kim,

There's definitely something,

You didn't make any mistake, right?

Yes, I don't think she'll come again,

but if she does, just tell her what you told her today,

Yes, thank you, Take care,

I took perfect care of the building as well as the shop,

But why do I keep getting a bad feeling?

What's the reason I keep worrying about it?

I should double-check everything again,

I must say, it does feel nice to wear expensive clothes,

Can I really walk around like this though?

- Jung Sook, Jung Sook! - Yes, I'm coming,

You said you'd be right back, Why,,,

What's going on?

You must be going somewhere nice,

Oh, well,,,

I got invited to a lunch on Sunday, so I just wanted to try this on,

Who invited you? It looks like you have to dress up for it,

It can't be about In Woo's wedding,

You'd be meeting with me if that was the case,

It's just someone I know,

They look pretty expensive,

Do I look weird in this outfit?

No, you don't,

I'm not used to seeing you in this kind of clothes, but you look good,

I must look awkward in this outfit,

You can't be comfortable right away,

You just need some time,

They say that clothes can make the person,

You do look like a different person,

I haven't even bought any clothes this winter,

I have nothing to wear,

I'm so jealous,

She kept denying it, but it looks like she's decided to accept it,

What is wrong with me?

I can't help but feel jealous,

Hello,

- Hello, - My gosh,

Why are you so downcast?

I'm not sure,

There's nothing exciting going on,

When you feel that way,,,

Ta-da,

This flower doesn't even look pretty now because you're so beautiful,

Can you stop joking around?

Gosh, I wasn't joking,

They say that one has to be full before feeding others,

Choong Seo, it wouldn't be bad to get tangible gifts here and there,

Tangible gifts?

Like what? Are you talking about materialistic stuff?

Like any other woman, I like pretty, cool, and elegant things too,

I can wear nice clothes as well,

But real happiness comes from the heart,

not from such materialistic things,

Shall I sing a love serenade to make you feel better?

- Where did I put the guitar? - Not today, Choong Seo,

I just want to spend some time quietly,

Well, I'm a little disappointed,

You're disappointed?

How can you not know what women want?

Forget it,

Mi Ae, it's just that,,,

You really have no idea what women want, do you?

What?

Exactly, It's not like I ask for such gifts every day,

- I can do this from time to time, - Of course,

What's happiness anyway?

You have to be able to see it and touch it,

Totally! That's precisely what I wanted to say,

It's not like she's asking you for a huge gift,

When it comes to gifts,,, The smaller, the better,

A pea-sized pearl?

A tiny diamond?

I love diamond!

Anyway, I'll just get going now,

Bye, Jong Hee,

Gosh, I'm just speechless,

You're so clueless,

The last time I heard that was five years ago,

Soo Bin's mom used to say that all the time, right?

Treat her better if you want to marry her,

Are all women like that?

- Of course, - Of course,

Gosh, Ms, Park, Please watch it,

I'm having a hard time collecting all the rent,

I should go there tomorrow,

Hey, it's good to see you, Have you had dinner yet?

Yes, I've eaten,

What brings you here?

In Woo told me you were coming, so I've been waiting,

I felt bad about leaving without saying goodbye to you that day,

I've done nothing for you all these years,

- And about Myung Jo,,, - Let's not,,,

talk about that,

Well, I haven't been a good dad to you,

so I've held back from saying what I wanted to say,

but I really want to be a good dad now,

Okay,

I made a dinner reservation for our family for this Sunday,

Join us,

The reservation is for four people,

We can go from there,

All right, I'll be there,

Dad, but,,,

Yes,

Never mind, We can take our time,

A diamond?

What are you doing? Help me with this if you have nothing to do,

Goodness,

By the way, why do women like diamonds?

I mean, you can't even eat them,

and you constantly worry about losing them,

It's because they're expensive,

Oh, that's right,

You better not be eyeing on this,

One is gone,

- Which one of you did it? - Do what?

My underwear,

My cousin sent me these,

- Give it back now, - It wasn't me,

Chief Director Goo,

Well,,, It looked nice, so I got curious and opened it,

Where is it?

Oh, are you wearing it now?

How can you just take it without my permission?

I'll buy you a ton of new ones next week, Are we good now?

That being said,,, Secretary Lee,

What now?

I want to change into a new one, Can I get another one?

Gosh, you're really something,

Here, Here you go,

Nice,

I like this color,

I'll definitely pay you back for this,

You better keep your word,

Are you waiting for a call?

What? Yes,

I want to know if everything went well,

You're ready, right?

This complaint may not be helpful,

but we still have to do our best,

Okay, Eun Jo,

Let's go in,

Okay,

Come in,

What brings you here at this late hour?

I came to ask you about something,

- Have a seat, - That's okay,

I'll just say it here,

Go ahead,

Myung Jo and I just came back from the police station,

We filed a complaint,

A complaint?

For credit card theft,

He even bought a car with Haeng Ja's credit card,

I found out that it's a crime,

That won't be so helpful, He'll only be fined,

I know,

Since you're a lawyer,

you'll take care of it,

I don't care, We're just doing what we can do,

Did you come here at this late hour just to tell me this?

Bu Sik,

How deeply are you involved in this?

Did you get involved from the beginning?

Did your scheme begin with me?

I came to wonder if I'm the beginning of all this,

What do you mean by that?

At first, I felt uncomfortable about you approaching me aggressively,

After some time, I started to feel comfortable around you,

Back then, you were more attentive than anyone else,

You felt like my guardian who would do anything for me,

Why are you bringing that up?

Even though Haeng Ja couldn't be more generous and kind to me,

I must have missed my dad,

I think you made me feel the way I did around my dad,

That's why I even thought of marrying you,

You're the one who broke off our engagement,

I thought that was the case,

So I was sorry to you,,,

about what happened,

But it looks like that wasn't the case seeing what's going on now,

Now, I believe that you had everything calculated in your head,

and everything was a lie,

Why?

Mr, Jung sold Haeng Ja's building,

Wasn't it you who made that happen?

Wasn't working for Haeng Ja part of your plan?

Look, Ms, Gil,

Be careful when you work with Mr, Jung from now on,

Now that I know everything, I won't let you fool me again,

I hope you won't at least throw away your conscience as a lawyer,

What? What were you doing when they were filing a complaint?

You shouldn't have gone overboard,

Why are you being so greedy?

- What did you say? - You said Ms, Kim has no hope,

You should've waited,

Even if you're not sad, you should have at least pretended to grieve,

You can do whatever you want when you're registered as their guardian,

Why couldn't you wait until then? Why did you cause this mess?

So what happens now?

Since they've submitted it, the police will visit you,

I'm going to get arrested?

No way, Do something,

You have no choice but to follow them,

I'll help you avoid imprisonment and to be fined,

You'll be investigated by the police,,,

and have to write a letter of apology,

My gosh, A married couple share everything,

Why is using my wife's credit card a crime?

Now, I believe that you had everything calculated in your head,

and everything was a lie,

Be careful when you work with Mr, Jung from now on,

Now that I know everything, I won't let you fool me again,

I hope you won't at least throw away your conscience as a lawyer,

It's completely over now,

Gil Eun Jo! Gil Myung Jo! Where are you?

There you are, I heard you two sued me,

That's right,

Withdraw it right now,

Go to the police, and drop the charges,

We can't,

We wouldn't even have started if we were to give in,

Also, this is a criminal case, so I can't withdraw it,

So are you saying you're going to get me arrested?

You must pay for your crime,

I'll only have to pay a small fine,

If I apologize with tears and show how much I regret it,

it would reduce the punishment,

Go to the police, and apologize with tears,

Even if it's a lie, that's the least you should do,

Also, return all of Haeng Ja's credit cards,

You brats, How dare you?

Fine, I'll go to the police,

That's not a problem,

However, you two should brace yourselves,

What are you going to do?

Do you think I'll live with you?

Pack your stuff right now,

You can get kicked out anytime,

Gosh, You brats,

Eun Jo,

It's okay, We have to hold out as long as we can,

Just as we decided to,

I told you it's "Heedangwon" several times,

That's right,

Yes, It's a traditional Korean restaurant in Gangnam, Yes,

You know, it's,,, Gosh, I don't believe you,

"Heedangwon"?

I booked a table at noon under my name, Don't forget,

In Jung said she will come too,

I'll pick you up at 11am, so get ready by then,

Why can't my ex-wife understand a word I say?

Oh, well, She has never been to a restaurant like that,

His ex-wife?

He's going to Heedangwon with Haeng Ja's money,,,

while Haeng Ja is bedridden?

My goodness,

What did I just see?

Haeng Ja, you look great today,

Are you having a good dream?

Haeng Ja,

What are you waiting for? Come on in,

Gosh, How unsophisticated,

Why are you acting as if this is your first time in Seoul?

Let's sit down,

We'll hang our coats,

It's an expensive coat,

Sit down,

I wanted to treat you a meal here when I became a full professor,

A long time passed, and a lot of things happened,

but I hope all of my family will enjoy fancy dishes and have fun now,

Your family?

That makes me feel so uncomfortable,

You, Dad, In Jung, and I,

We're family, What else is family?

What's the matter?

Are you guys praying or something?

Let's eat,

What?

I knew it,

How can you eat here when Haeng Ja is bedridden?

Hey, You're being so rude,

Rude?

Everyone in your family is rude,

Maybe it's because you're the family of the shrew of Geumdong Market!

What did you just say?

Rude? I'm going to show you what being rude is like,

Darn,

(Hate to Love You)

Do you really want that beauty center?

It's over now, The beauty center is mine,

In Woo has changed a lot,

She's gotten a lot more confident,

It's almost like they became orphans overnight, I feel bad for them,

In Woo's dad can arrange that amount of money in no time if he wants to,

Don't say things like that so easily,

Did Myung Jo's aunt get herself in big trouble?

She basically vandalized the place, She has to pay for what she did,

I heard she might have to go to jail,

You haven't asked him for money?

What will you do for me if I pay for that?

What will happen if they can't settle it?

I guess she'll have to pay for what she did,
