Truth or Dare

Episode 18

The Mountain Map

Didn't you say there wouldn't be a next time?

Why did you... kiss me again?

Because

I like you.

I said,

I like you.

Are you reluctant

to accept my affection?

I don't mean that.

But I don't know what to do.

All right.

You don't need to answer me now.

You can think about it.

I have to go.

Just in time.

Thanks a lot.

Come here, come here.

I've found out clues to the map.

What's it?

Just listen to me.

I, He Yizh, as a man with

striking appearance

profound learning

and considerable insight

into human nature as well.

Uncle He, please get to the point.

It's in Nan Batian's crutch.

Crutch?

You see.

Nan Batian is such a sophisticate,

and has already

lost his trust in people.

There's only one thing following him everywhere.

It's his crutch.

I'll go and get his crutch right away.

He'll go back to the stockade in a day or two.

Okay, then take care of yourself.

Go ahead.

Okay.

Wait, wait, wait.

Leave the lunch to me.

Do it.

Be careful.

Okay.

Bao, I hate you.

I can't believe you prefer

that rock-breaking girl than me.

What are you doing here? Get out.

I know you're still angry...

Shut up.

I'll never believe your crap again.

You're so close to

get together with Bao.

You shouldn't let him feel you care much about him.

Otherwise, he won't cherish you.

What should I do?

What about this?

Master is about to come back.

You can cook a dinner to welcome him home.

In that case,

first, you can present yourself.

Second, that will bring Bao a sense of crisis.

He'll see how many men in the stockade

admire you.

This is the last time I trust you.

If you lie to me again,

I'll kill you.

Brother Liu.

What are you doing here? Felling sick?

Well, Bao has constipation.

I came to get him some meds.

You see, I told him

to have less alcohol and less meat.

Now he's having a hard time.

Just wait. I'll get the med.

Remember, be prudent in the dosage.

The drug is highly potent.

It's enough to give him the tremendous runs.

Rest assured.

I will tell him.

Good, go ahead.

I told you I would learn to cook. But you laughed at me.

See, now what do you say?

Dad was very wrong.

My baby girl, thank for cooking so many food for me.

Allow me to punish myself.

Dad, put the wine aside.

Have a taste.

I like everything

my baby girl cooks.

How's it?

It's good.

Nan Xiang is pretty and smart.

Master, you're really lucky.

You finally talk like a man.

Here's to you. Brother Wu.

Here.

Rock-breaking girl's idea is not bad.

Bao will sense my womanly charm.

Bao.

How far have you got with the thing I assigned you?

Dad Batian, don't worry.

I'll catch Lord Nocturnal-elf ASAP.

Time is running short.

Dad Batian, rest assured.

Pelletie.

Master.

You've recovered fairly quickly

while I was gone.

I've been with Nan Xiang these days.

We had a good time every day.

So I recovered very quickly.

Good.

It's very good.

Well, Master.

I'll get you a bowl of wine.

Okay.

Master, let me get you another one.

Did I scare you?

Good, good.

Master.

Have this one.

Okay.

It's good.

Sit down please.

Yes.

Dad.

What are you doing?

I'm...

I...

I'm not feeling well.

I have an important thing to do.

Dad Batian.

Let me go with you.

I can do it myself.

Dad, come on, just go.

All right, stop fanning.

Eat the meal.

Bao, here.

What are you doing here?

This is the pit latrine for the master specially.

I've come to the wrong place.

Then why did you take Dad Batian's crutch?

What did you take my crutch for?

Dad Batian, I recently found

you walk in an uncomfortable way.

I guess there might be something wrong with the crutch.

So I want to look into it.

You see, the bottom has been worn down.

Shall I get it...?

Give it to me.

Don't touch things you shouldn't.

You should know that, Bao.

Yes.

Come with me.

What did you take Dad Batian's crutch for?

Bao, it's not your business.

Pelletie, don't go too far.

My Dad Batian's health is no longer as good as before.

But his ruthlessness

didn't change at all.

All right.

I see.

Here, here.

Have a seat, Lady Yingyao.

How did it go? Is it in the crutch?

I got the crutch.

There is no device or a map in it.

It's not there.

Did you look for it carefully?

Yes, I looked very hard.

If I can't see my Pelletie anymore...

This is my keepsake.

Come to me if you need me.

Why?

Why is he Lord Nocturnal-elf?

Why is he a junior general?

Whereas

I'm just a rock-breaking busker.

What if,

what if Lady Yingyao won't go back?

No, no.

Pelletie.

You promised to return him to Lady Yingyao.

But

I can't get him off my mind.

Pelletie.

You're such a coward.

Pelletie.

Pelletie, what's wrong with you?

I'm fine.

Really?

Anything happened between you and Lord Shiqing again?

No.

We're doing all right.

All right?

Then why do you hide from him?

Is there anything wrong again?

I'm not avoiding him.

We're getting along harmoniously.

Any objection?

No, that's not what Qiuhua meant.

You two used to lead a cat-and-dog life.

Suddenly, you're getting along well.

We think it's a little weird.

Isn't it? Qiuhua.

Yeah, yeah.

What do you mean by harmonious life?

It's just...

respecting each other

like guests and

not to cross the line.

Then I'm relieved.

Actually I'm still worried

about Uncle He and Lady Yingyao.

I haven't heard from them

for such a long time.

Yeah.

I wonder how they are doing.

Do they have enough food to eat?

Although my father is sophisticate,

he's a weak man and a compulsive gambler.

I'm so worried about him.

Don't worry.

I'll go out to inquire when I have a chance.

I'll let you know as soon as

I hear anything from them.

God blesses the good man.

Pelletie, you're a good girl.

God won't treat you badly.

Lord Shiqing, what are you thinking about?

Why do you ask me that?

I'm just curious.

Put your mind to your business.

Look into the case of salt smuggling.

Yes.

Rou seemed to make progress.

Lord Shiqing, aren't we going to...?

Lord Shiqing, are we not going to...?

I've got it, Lord Shiqing.

You asked me to order a roasted goose for

Lady Yingyao yesterday.

Felicity Tavern has prepared it.

They're waiting for you.

Roasted goose?

Fresh from the oven, roasted goose is delicious.

Let's go?

I don't.

That's a pity.

Then you have a good rest.

I'll have bring a soup to you by the way.

Siheng, let's go.

Okay.

Are you going to Felicity Tavern

for the case of

salt smuggling?

Right.

But the less you know about it,

the safer you'll be.

But.

Stop, that's it.

You just stay here as I say.

Siheng, ask guards to watch her.

Don't let her go out.

Yes.

These are entirely different things.

I'll do my part

to fight for justice.

Lord Shiqing, aren't we going to Felicity Tavern?

What are we doing here?

You'll know that soon.

Look.

What a coincidence.

Why are you here?

We're hunting for mice here.

Siheng.

Take Lady Yingyao to her room.

Got it.

Oh, no.

It's okay.

I'll just go back myself.

Don't bother.

Excuse me.

Lady Yingyao has a strong sense of justice

just like you do.

I do think I should

cultivate your sense of justice.

No, don't bother.

I've learned a lot from you, Lord Shiqing.

I'm very grateful.

We're going to Felicity Tavern,

aren't we?

Come on, let's go.

How can you possibly defeat me?

Lord Shiqing, there's a message from our spy.

A few days ago, Wang Biao did take a lavish gift

to Dragon Stockade.

The two groups are just birds of a feather.

They certainly did nothing good.

After then,

the fake Lord Nocturnal-elf showed up.

At first, I suspected

Salter Cartel found someone to play Lord Nocturnal-elf

in order to draw me out.

But after the combat,

I found

this man's moves were very familiar to me.

Most likely,

he's the monkey of Dragon Stockade.

And there's another thing,

but I'm not sure if it's relevant to

the salt smuggling.

I looked into funding source of Paradise Casino.

They don't seem as simple as we thought.

You mean they have something to do with Salter Cartel.

It turned out Paradise Casino and Dragon Stockade are related.

Paradise Casino is owned by Dragon Stockade.

In that case,

there would be many people involved in the smuggling.

Rou, keep your eyes open.

Let me know if you get any news.

Yes.

Lord Shiqing, does Situ have anything to...?

Come on in, little mouse.

How did you know I was outside?

You've been eating more lately.

I heard the clump of your footsteps.

Lady Yingyao.

Luckily, Lord Shiqing knew it was you.

If it was someone else,

I would put the one to death.

I was very careful.

Come on.

You refused my invitation at first.

Then you came out in secret.

Is that fun for you?

Yes, it's fun.

All right, I'll go out to get some fresh air.

Siheng, eat it all. Don't waste it.

Yes. Get out of my face.

I can't go on like this

with Mei Shiqing.

How I hope Lady Yingyao can come back early.

And let all this end.

Rou said

Paradise Casino and Dragon Stockade are related.

Does that mean I can get some news about

Dragon Stockade through Paradise Casino?

Maybe

I would know something new about father and Lady Yingyao.

What's bad idea in your mind?

You want to go to the casino?

No, no, no.

Don't get me wrong.

I almost lost my life in order to

deal with the fake Lord Nocturnal-elf.

I don't dare to do it anymore.

You mean it?

Of course.

I need my mouth to eat

delicious food.

That's a good reason for you.

You've convinced me.

Stinky tofu.

Do you smell something special in the air?

Smells smelly, tastes tasty.

Stinky tofu.

Stinky tofu.

Hey.

Stinky tofu.

Sir, I want a bowl of stinky tofu.

Okay.

No, no, no.

It's too stinky.

I want it. I want it.

Sir, more tofu.

Haven't you ever eaten stinky tofu?

I haven't.

I can't believe you never have such a great food.

Pay for it.

Sir, how much is it?

One penny.

So pricey.

I don't eat.

How's it? Is it good?

Not bad.

If you don't like it,

then I'll have it all.

Sir.

Two more bowls of it.

Okay.

What's the matter? You're being mysterious.

I heard that

Paradise Casino is attached to Dragon Stockade.

Really?

The information is reliable.

In that case,

we can get some news about Stockade through Casino.

Brilliant.

Maybe I can know something new

about my father and Lady Yingyao through it.

But,

but Chifeng, who takes charge of the casino,

is a real handful.

What can we do

to make him cooperate with us?

You can rest assured.

I've got a good idea.

What's it?

You just wait for me outside.

No, it's too dangerous.

Let me do it.

I have my way.

You just need to believe me.

Wager, wager.

The irrelevant, back off.

I'm here for the man in charge.

Calm down, no need to be so angry.

Why are you pointing

the sword to me?

I'm here to

ask you about something.

Be honest.

Otherwise, I'll put you to death.

Lord Nocturnal-elf, I know you're well-known.

I wonder what

you come to me for.

Dragon Stockade.

Dragon Stockade.

Then you should ask those of Dragon Stockade.

Why do you come to me?

I know you're related to Dragon Stockade.

Tell me the truth.

Do you know a man named He Yizhi?

No, I don't know him.

Spit out.

Okay, okay.

I.... I know one.

How's he doing recently?

He's enjoying a happy life.

I heard Nan Batian treats him as his father-in-law.

He's doing terrifically well there.

According to what I know,

you kidnapped He Yizhi's daughter

to Dragon Stockade.

Did you maltreat her?

No, absolutely not.

After that woman went into the mountains,

she got a strange disease with abscesses on her face.

No one dares to get close to her.

I've seen her.

I've seen her?

When?

1st of

this month.

1st.

It seems that those of the casino usually go Dragon Stockade on the 1st.

- Boss. - Boss.

Boss, are you alright?

Do you know you've done wrong?

What did I do wrong?

You promised me not to go to the casino.

But you went and messed around.

I didn't mess around.

I terrified them all

just now.

If I...

If you waited much longer,

I could have got more information.

Do you know you almost lost your life?

If I hadn't arrived in time,

you would have been died.

Nothing venture, nothing have.

How can you achieve

great things by being so cautious?

I find you're really naive and silly.

I have got some information.

Why do you always think I have no plans?

Why do you think I would make trouble?

Although my Kungfu...

I have no Kungfu,

but I'm strong enough to protect myself.

Listen to me,

if you keep messing around,

I'll take back the cape and bracelet.

I gave you these because I hope I can protect you,

not to let you mess around. Do you hear me?

Then I give these back to you.

Take these back.

Take all these back.

I don't want connection with you.

I don't want any connection with you.

You, stinky pork pellet.

Who do you think you are?

Oh, my.

Qiuhua.

Stop.

Stop.

Why are you avoiding me?

I'm not.

It occurred to me water is boiling in the kitchen.

I have to check it.

I only told you about Paradise Casino.

How did Mei Shiqing know it?

Really?

Lord Shiqing is no wonder well-informed.

He keeps up with everything.

Stop. Stop pretending.

Well, I admit

I told him that.

I trust you so much. How could you betray me?

Don't you believe I would break you like breaking a stone?

I was just worried about you.

You're a girl.

We'll all worry about you

if you go to bandits' lair alone.

All right.

For the sake of your concerns about me,

I forgive you

for this once.

Okay.

Just this once.

Since you were there,

did you get any information?

I've learned my father and Lady Yingyao

are safe in Dragon Stockade.

So I'm not so worried.

Great.

As long as they're alright.

But I heard

Nan Batian, the leader of Dragon Stockade,

is fond of Lady Yingyao.

If that goes on,

I'm afraid Lady Yingyao...

I've made my mind.

I'll go and save them as soon as I can

to make Lady Yingyao come back early.

No, I have to go and save them right away.

Don't rush.

Dragon Stockade has a lot of men.

The military was unable to conquer them.

What can you do if you go alone?

Then what should we do?

We can't just wait.

I have an idea.

But

I need you and Qiaoyun to help.

For Lady Yingyao,

I won't hesitate to undergo manifold ordeals.

Knock it off.

I need you to promise me

not to tell it to Mei Shiqing.

Okay.

I promise.

Why is it so quiet today?

Why don't I hear the

noisy chirping as usual?

Siheng.

Coming.

Mei Siheng.

I'm here.

What's the matter? My lord.

Are you hungry?

What about going to Felicity Tavern to eat?

Lord Shiqing.

I've just had a meal. I'm not hungry.

You're not hungry?

I heard Felicity Tavern has a new dish.

People queue up in order to taste it. It tastes great.

Since it's that delicious,

then let's go there.

Forget it.

I'm not hungry actually.

Then... I think I should leave.

Go, just go.
