You seem afraid to be with me.

Not at all.

I love the food here.

Don't drink too much.

You are...

You know,

my wife died because of suicide.

I'm so sorry.

I knew her since she was four.

We fell in love when we were 18.

She married me at the age of 20.

When she was 22,

she died suddenly.

I couldn't accept that.

Can I ask

why she did that?

Because she didn't love me.

She loved someone else.

I'm sorry.

I had been with

a woman I love

who didn't love me.

That feeling

was like a knife

stabbing myheart every day.

Stab and stab.

Since she didn't love you,

why can't you let her go?

I wanted to end all of that.

But I couldn't do that.

Because I'm the one

who love her the most.

I wanted to prove that

I love her more than that guy do.

Mr. Ruan,

you are a good man.

I like you.

Come on, Mr. Ruan,

you still love her.

If I say

you look like her,

will you be mad?

That's impossible.

How do you know if you haven't seen her?

At least I won't kill myself for love.

But you made my heart leap.

Can this answer

make you consider my suggestion?

I think I'm better than

your boyfriend.

Mr. Ruan,

you don't love me.

I don't know

what you want to do

by saying these misleading words.

I want to

meet a woman

and love her,

so as to forget

that unretrievable past.

But this is unfair

to me,

to you,

and to her.

It's unfair to all of us.

Don't be silly.

Jiaxin,

you are finally here.

Sorry, I'm late.

It' s okay, have a seat.

I have ordered for you.

you can order through my phone

if you want.

I'm good.

I'll have what you ordered.

Okay.

Right,

you said something happened in hospital,

what's wrong?

Nothing.

A patient came

and I helped.

Okay.

Xiaoye,

Huangmao asked me if I saw you.

What's wrong?

Nothing, I didn't go back for training.

How come?

I had quarrel with the coach.

You have no idea

how over the top he was.

I guess he just doesn't like me.

What happened?

I got up late

and he scolded me just for that.

I was late for half an hour.

He scolded me in front of everyone!

Then he always makes things difficult for me.

When we were in a training match,

he scolded me for my small mistakes.

He scolded harder when I lost.

I just don't get it.

You know, I'm a hot cake

and so many clubs want we.

Is the way he treats me

a bit too much?

Actually, I think

he did that for your own good.

For my own good?

He punished you

so as to make the team more disciplined.

Jiaxin,

Are you really on my side?

Forget it.

Let's eat.

Skip the subject.

Thanks.

You first.

You first.

Okay.

Xiaoye, this is me.

You'd better return to the club.

Don't quarrel with your coach again.

We'll see.

I don't want to go back.

As long as I don't return,

they will keep losing the funds.

I don't think it's a good idea.

Don't worry,

I have my own plan.

Xiaoshan took the blame for her.

But the boy's family was too powerful.

If they wanted to sue us,

Xiaoshan would have to be in jail forever.

Xianglan had no other way

but to marry the boy.

Aren't you on a date?

Why do you come back?

Master, you said you don't work late.

How come you are still here?

I'm watching a case.

This is a little complicated.

It's familiar.

Bin, is your waist alright?

Much better.

You see,

the plaster works.

Master,

why did you go to the climbing gym that day?

Nothing.

That was a coincidence.

I doubt that.

You don't like climbing.

I like it.

Zhao Yan told me that

it is good for our health

and our spirits.

I like it.

You come.

Come here.

Here.

What's wrong with the case?

Master, that's too easy.

Have a temperature, cough out blood, loose bowels.

These are not medical terms.

They should be fever, hematemesis and diarrhea.

Also, the date

and the signature are missing.

Seems that you made progress.

You used to make these mistakes.

You rebuked me every day.

That was almost a psychological trauma to me.

You see,

a strict teacher produces outstanding students.

So I complete my study then?

You wish!

We're entering the next stage.

Tomorrow morning,

bring me a rolled pancake with five eggs.

Got it.

A rolled pancake with five eggs.

What are you talking about!

Mr. Zhou,

What's your decision?

If Mr. Ruan can't get

the answer he wants,

we'll resort to legal action.

It's late, what's wrong?

I got something to ask you.

What?

Something I can't see?

You knew Ruan Wenzhao long ago.

He told me

that his wife suicided.

Because she didn't love him.

She loved someone else.

Is she Xianglan?

Yes.

Why are you keeping it from me?

He comes here for evil plans.

I don't get it.

Ruan Wenzhao's firm

let us sign the supplementary agreement.

I need to hand in the police clearance certificate.

But two weeks ago,

Ruan Wenzhao's lawyer found me

and said I will be sued

for that shooting years ago.

But that was not your fault.

You took the blame for Xianglan.

Words alone are no proof.

We have to have evidence.

Once you are sued,

you can't get the certificate.

Without it,

you can't stay in China.

But I don't understand

why he did this to you?

Hatred.

Because you won Xianglan's heart?

I won her heart.

She didn't love him.

I moved on.

What are you gonna do?

The lawyer said tomorrow is the deadline.

The Trust also said

tomorrow is the deadline.

Zhou Xiaoshan,

we cannot admit what we didn't do.

Losing your job doesn't matter.

But your reputation can't be ruined.

We can find us a lawyer, too.

It's impossible that the law can distort the truth.

Jianing,

don't worry,

I'll be fine.

We still lack Zhou Xiaoshan's supplementary agreement.

I have asked him several times.

He always says he is busy.

Mr. Ruan, I want to talk to you

about Zhou Xiaoshan in private.

Sure,

but as which of your

identities?

The superior of Zhou Xiaoshan,

or his girlfriend?

As his superior,

we can talk here.

No need for private talk.

As his girlfriend,

we shall talk after this.

Mr. Huang,

Why does Zhou Xiaoshan

refuse to sign supplementary agreement?

Is your employee having some problems?

Mr. Ruan,

I can tell you

why I refuse to sign.

How about that.

Lawyer called me

and told me I have only half an hour.

If I still don't

say yes to your demand,

I'll be sued.

You only have half an hour left.

Enough for me.

You can finish watching this information

Ruan Wenzhao,

You clearly knew

But those things he did

Well,

Have you ever thought that

Ruan Wenzhao,

Ruan Wenzhao,

Something on your mind?

Jianing,

I feel like I'm doing something wrong.

What?

I think I still like Bin.

What do you mean?

Tonight, he brought

my favorite sweet and sour ribs

I said no at that time.

But my heart pounded really fast.

So you think

you are in a relationship with Jiang Xiaoye

but you have feelings for Qin Bin,

this makes you guilty?

Yes.

So your heart beats faster when you see him

Not really.

My heart also beats fast in front of Jiang Xiaoye.

The feelings of heartbeat come into many forms.

It can be the heartbeats of crush.

It can be the excitement

when you see someone you respect.

For example,

when I'm injecting the embryo,

I feel nervous and my heart beats fast.

The key is

to know which feeling of heartbeat

you hold for them.

But I don't know!

Is next month our dad's 60th birthday?

Yeah.

Jianing,

why don't you make it up to dad on his birthday?

One of my most respected students, Ning.

Ning, she has a special name.

She is a Chinese girl.

A year ago she plagiarized the research in our lab.

A Chinese company hired her literally the next day.

Can you tell us the name of this company?

Oh, is it the same company that

Exactly.

Is he saying Ms. Qiu?

This is a big scandal in the field.

I personally believe Ms. Qiu.

But before the truth comes out,

sorry, Mr. Huang.

I'm afraid I can't sign the contract.

Ms. Qiu,

you mean

that article published on Cure authored by Harry

is actually written by you?

You left his lab

because he plagiarized your work?

Right.

Plan O has entered the second phase.

As we all know,

once a drug finishes the second phase

and enters the third phase,

the drug is successfully developed.

Harry jumps out at this moment,

what he wants is obvious.

Ridiculous!

You think I'm a fool?

If you want to whitewash yourself,

you shall find a better explanation.

I'm telling the truth.

I believe Ms. Qiu.

But the challenge is

to let the public believe her.

You know,

the media spread everything, even if hearsay.

The logic is simple.

If the core of Plan O

comes from Professor Harry,

why does his team

still stays in animal trails?

why hasn't FDA allowed him

to begin clinical trial?

Good point.

Ms. Qiu,

the challenge right now,

as Mr. Ruan said,

is to let the public believe you.

We can hold a press conference.

I'll write the statement.

Okay,

I'll let the PR support you.

Stop frowning.

We can still turn things around.

Harry had an interview

right before the signing ceremony.

What a coincidence.

Coincidence?

You mean...

Ruan Wenzhao.

No way.

His target is me.

I'm getting you into trouble.

I don't think he has a strong motive.

Plus,

even if he wants to be revenged on you for the past,

I'm the one who is affected.

And

when we were with Mr. Huang,

he defended me.

This is a guess.

Xiaoshan,

Ruan Wenzhao is related to this or not,

This must be fake.

What do we do?

Yeah, we all believe you.

Thank you for your trust.

I will not let you down.

Hey,

who is that woman we saw online yesterday?

She became the trending topic on Weibo overnight.

I don't know.

I heard that she is the director of Plan O lab.

God.

She had the nerve to plagiarize

the results of foreign lab.

She's ruining the reputation of Chinese!

Tell me about it.

What are you talking about?

Doctor Qiu, you don't know that?

It's a female researcher with a surname Qiu.

We don't know her full name yet.

Qiu?

Yeah.

The same with you.

Alright, continue.

Professor Harry,

There's a serious leak that

have happened in your lab.

Can you tell us about it?

and now he said this?

Jiaxin, calm down.

I can't!

His distortion of the fact.

It's unfair!

How can you still be laughing?

You see,

this Harry said

Jianing plagiarized his research works,

but our lab is faster

than his team.

You shouldn't be angered by the

groundless slander.

You're right.

You'd better to use your brain next time.

Don't leave it unused.

But those comments online are so terrible.

I have to scold them back for Jianing.

Jiaxin,

stay cool.

Jianing just called.

She said the company will release a statement

and everything will be clear.

But I can't just let her being bullied.

Jiaxin, think about it.

Last time you were misunderstood.

But you acted impetuously.

Have you solved that?

Being impetuous doesn't work.

Harry, this guy

can slander Jianing,

it means that he's fully prepared.

He has more weapon in hand.

So if we want to defeat him,

we have to know his tricks.

Or we may just alert the enemy.

Will he do something more terrible?

We don't know

what will happen.

So we have to wait and see.

But I believe justice always wins.

Jiaxin,

I can totally understand how you feel,

but at this moment,

we have to stay calm.

Have you finished the statement?

I've sent to the PR.

They can polish

some words for me.

You should have unveiled Harry's wrongdoing earlier.

I don't want to waste my time on him.

Let's go.

Okay.

This is the statement of Original Life's PR.

What's your view?

Wonderful.

Really powerful.

it can cause sensation.

are you angry?

Don't worry.

are under my control.

Jianing, wake up!

Qiu Jianing, wake up!

Look at this.

What?

Look!

What?

The value of Plan O to TKS company

Yes, of course,

it's inappropriate to talk to you only about money.

This is Harry Laboratory transfer agreement.

Now,

if you come and work for us,

Jianing,

What is this?

but I declined.

But based on the video,

you seem to be bargaining with them.

Jianing. I'll answer the door.

Where is Jianing？

The video has been edited.

Why did they do this?

What are you doing?

I have to find them

and tell the truth.

Listen,

from Harry to Gael,

all of the things are their tricks.

If you go and tell the truth,

you fall straight into their trap.

But I haven't done that.

So just let them slander me?

You must stay calm.

Stay calm.

Jianing,

your phone is ringing.

I go with you.

The value of Plan O to TKS company

Yes, of course,

This is Harry Laboratory Transfer agreement.

Now,

if you come and work for us,

we can make sure

he will never show his face in scientific community ever again.

I can feel your sincerity.

So, do we have an agreement?

Ms. Qiu,

it really surprises me that

you will...

Mr. Huang,

it's not true.

It's not true?

Then...

then who is the person in the video?

If I didn't see that with my eyes...

Mr. Huang,

the video was edited.

It aims to mislead.

If Ms. Qiu

did that,

why did they need to edit the video?

I agree.

Mr. Huang,

the statement is scheduled to

be released at 10 am.

Do we need to release now?

Why not?

Ms. Qiu,

are you sure?

Is there any problem?

The statement can prove you did not plagiarize,

but it cannot prove

you had not

sold the project to TKS.

It will even

prove that the video this morning is true.

We are in a dilemma now.

Any advice?

I think it is strange.

Let's assume Harry's video

is part of their marketing warfare strategy.

They want to smear our project

and let the investors lose their confidence.

But the video this morning

seems to change the target.

They start to target at Ms. Qiu.

Yes.

Both of the videos

have become the trending topics.

Theoretically,

we are not a very popular firm.

This big scandal

is surely designed by someone.

Ms. Qiu is accused as

a traitor.

They want to ruin her reputation.

Ms. Qiu,

Did you offend someone?

Right, Ms. Qiu,

Did you offend someone?

I have offended too many people

to think of all of them.

But I'll find a way to deal with it.

They can't scare me.

Mr. Huang,

we shall have a talk.

It's him.

But I don't understand.

If Ruan Wenzhao did this,

why will Harry and Gael

work with him?

The enemy's enemy

is friend.

Mr. Huang,

the statement needs to be released,

but some words need to be changed.

What's your advice, Mr. Ruan?

Plan O's leader should be

Professor Wang.

Also,

Qiu Jianing has nothing to do with us.

Really?

If we do this,

how will Ms. Qiu see us?

Ms. Qiu will be in huge difficulty.

You still want to protect her?

We think the project is very promising.

Even if the crisis happens,

as long as I want,

I think I can persuade the board of directors

and make the deal.

But if you

still want to protect her,

the deal will be closed,

and you may fail

to satisfy the investors.

Ms. Qiu is the leader of the project.

If we get rid of her,

I'm afraid that the public

will doubt the project's future.

How about Su Qian?

Ms. Su?

She was the core researcher of Plan O,

and she had worked for the foreign lab.

I think Ms. Su's participation

will increase the credibility of the project.

Right now,

we cannot lose the war.

Mr. Huang,

decisive action is the key.

Mr. Ruan,

could you please give me some time

to think about it?

ASAP.
