The rain stops, there's a break in the clouds

The blue sky's calling out to you

Alright, it's almost time to head out

I don't need anyone else's advice

I've gotta trust my own instincts

It's high time I found my own way

Fire Up, Ignition

The heavy pressure's on

Slam the accelerator and power through

Surprise, the whole world's got drive! (It's faster than ever)

Feeling high like you're finally awake (Show me your Drivin')

Once you're on the road to destiny (Keep chasin' forever)

There's no way to go in reverse...

All we need is Drive!

Episode 2 What is a Kamen Rider?

No... I can't die just yet...

Not while they're still out there...!

A dream...

Even after becoming a belt, I still have my old demons...

Kiriko, is Shinnosuke working on the case?

No, he's slacking off again.

Are you serious?

I can't reach him.

Isn't it a little early for his engine to cut out?

Should you really be here, Shin? Aren't you still on duty?

This is part of my duty.

Yeah right!

No one even knows what you Special Crimes Unit guys do anyway.

That's right!

I transformed, and fought...

I beat that monster.

But I'm still having trouble moving on...

I guess I'm done thinking about it.

Kiriko...

Hunter, go!

A patrol Shift Car...?

Hey!

Hold it right there!

You won't get away from me!

Hey, you bums!

What is with you?! Why are you so athletic?!

Hold it!

Ow...

I'm taking you in.

Ow, ow, ow, ow...

Aren't you being kind of harsh?

You're the harsh one for calling me cold, Tomari.

I've still never seen you smile.

You're not getting away.

Not just anyone can become Drive.

I've seen you pawing my ride before, don't lie.

Who the hell are you?

I have to meet with a friend.

I'll need your car.

Now, where did my friend's "soul" run off too...

The Shift Cars exist to serve humanity.

The same goes for Justice Hunter, the patrol car over there.

And there are others on standby here in the pit.

In contrast, there are the Roidmudes. A threat to mankind.

Roidmudes?

Please Shinnosuke, we need our secret weapon. Become Drive, and fight the Roidmudes.

I don't know if I'm on board for this...

Why not, exactly?

With you and the Shift Cars, I was able to fight against those guys during Density Shifts... .

So I figure there must be some connection between you and the enemies.

You might even come from the same source.

Am I wrong?

It's hard to get motivated with stuff like that on my mind...

Please wait!

At least take this, and keep your Shift Brace with you.

Not just anyone can do this, huh...?

Why not you, Kiriko?

If I could, I would have!

That's why I need you to do this, Tomari.

Besides, didn't you say that the case wasn't over yet?

You're right...

But there's something I need to take care of first...

I went and had this commemorative banner made, so is the case over yet?

The case is literally about helping red people, so why turquoise?

Turquoise was my lucky color the other day!

Well, that explains it...

Now we just need to catch this guy and then we're done.

And we're not gonna need any more help from you weirdos!

How rude! Right, Rinna?

Right!

Aw, all this bickering...

You're going to need our expert analysis!

Like I'd need help of a buncha freaky weirdos!

The future doesn't look so bright for this team.

And little Tomari's run off again...

Heart...

Aloof, careless, and ostentatious as always, I see.

Could you smile once in a while, Brain?

I gave 029 a new body.

Roidmude Executor BRAIN

The camera is pretty decent.

Huh?! What app is this?!

What is it? What's that?

Something weird just popped up...

There he is.

He'll be reviving soon.

Azusa Yumi Hospital

Ow! Ow!

That hurts...

You okay?

Yeah, sorry...

Don't overdo it, Hayase.

Six months of rehab, and this is the best I can manage...

But they actually say I'm doing better than most.

But they'll never let you back on the force...

And it's my fault.

I fired the gun...

Hayase!

It wasn't just the Slowdown...

It was a risky shot to begin with.

But I thought I had it...

I can't forgive myself for being so arrogant.

Shinnosuke...

My dad was a cop...

He always said...

police carry the heaviest burden of responsibility.

But I—

But nothing. Find something else to feel responsible about.

I was an officer too, you know.

Instead of feeling bad for me, why don't you protect people in my place?

Hayase...

Thanks.

Those are painkillers. For when it gets really bad.

Well now, don't you look lively.

That's it!

Huh?

My brain's in top gear now.

There's been another victim turned red!

It was a talent agency model this time!

Masuda, that sleaze!

He's in gear again...

Shinnosuke, what the hell are you doing?

It was a mistake to assume that these were attempted murders.

These people were rejected.

But Masuda Nobuo here was chosen.

They took him and copied his face.

So they're after body parts?

Exactly.

The culprit is after people with attractive physical traits.

The people recovered at the scenes of each attack were rejects.

That red coloring is a sign that they've been passed over.

H-How did you figure this out?!

There were bits of trash left near the other two victims.

Both for medications.

Cold medicine packaging, and foil from an allergy pill blister pack.

Anyone he finds that's not in peak physical condition is left behind...

That's what he was after?

The people we thought he was trying to kill were really just leftovers.

And there'll be more abductions if we don't act!

Now hold on...

One of the victims recently recovered and said that his girlfriend's gone missing too!

Gen, can you make a list of people missing over the last week?

Of course, who the heck do you think you're asking?

I'll try searching online from that angle.

But where is the culprit hiding?

Most likely somewhere close to Masuda Nobuo's residence!

Looks like you're gonna need one of my gadgets!

If the kidnapper causes Density Shift, you'll be able to pinpoint where he is!

You mean that lame beeping thing?

Well, I guess if we have to...

Hey! It is not lame looking!

Well well well...

This team is actually pretty impressive once it gets up and running!

Your errand seems to have went well, Shinnosuke.

How'd you know?

This Shift Car let me observe your conversation with Detective Hayase.

Kiriko...

Now, let's move.

DEPLOYING

DEPLOYING

Trust in your friends. The Special Crimes Unit and the Shift Cars will find our culprit.

Yes...

Right, thank you.

The amusement park, right?

Understood.

Right here, Tomari.

Got it.

Notice of Closure We appreciate your patronage

Here are the victims...

They're still alive.

Come to take the humans back?

That voice... so you're still alive, monster!

I don't mind. You can have them back now...

I've already copied their most desirable features for myself.

The man's face...

And the woman's hair...

My body is magnificent now!

He evolved...?!

Slowdown!

Again?!

See?! Now you see it, right?!

Nope, not happening! I don't believe it!

How can he be so stubborn?!

There he is.

He's awoken to considerable power.

Shall we say hello?

I should go find some more humans...

I could attain even further perfection!

- We can't let him get to the city! - Go after him!

More friends of his?!

Are you ready, Shinnosuke?

I'm the only one that can actually chase after him.

So I guess I have to, right?

I'm done thinking about it.

I'm an officer... Besides, I'm chasing him for someone else too!

Good!

Start your engine!

Talk about rude.

That's no way to ask a lady for her company.

Oh no!

It can't be... are you Kamen Rider?!

Kamen Rider?

Now we're off to a good start. Right, Mr. Belt?

Thank you, Shinnosuke.

And once again I ask you, please help us defeat the Roidmudes.

There are 108 in total.

Actually, make that 103...

Looks like we won't be meeting our new friend after all...

This is preposterous!

He was a powerful and versatile Roidmude.

How could anyone defeat him?!

Actually, someone does come to mind...

Chase has arrived...

CHASE

Who's my target this time?

Well, the kidnapped victims are free now... but how am I going to spin this report?!

I'm much more interested in that mysterious fighter that took care of the monsters.

I know what you mean, Rinna.

- I wanna see pics! - Yeah, pics!

This team may be just as doomed as I thought!

Maybe I need to update my lucky color...

Hey, Kiriko... What's a Kamen Rider?

Huh?

The monster called me that.

The Roidmude called you a Kamen Rider?

Did you just smile...?

You're mistaken.

I swear, you did!

I did no such thing.

You did too!

Drop it before I arrest you!

I just saw you laugh!

You're delusional.

It does have a ring to it...

Kamen Rider Drive!

Help... help!

Ghosts!

Help...!

Kamen Rider Drive!

A series of disappearances

Let's go, Mr. Belt!

It sounds like the case of the haunted studio!

I hunt for the Roidmudes...

Aren't you the only one that can save them?!

Start your engine!
