[Lover or Stranger Ep24]

[Inpatient Department]

Luo Qianyi,

I've just arranged that body check for you.

Why do you keep running around?

I...

I'll come back soon.

Just wait for me.

Chao.

Qian...

Wait. It's you.

What's wrong?

[Press Conference on Establishment of Color Foundation]

Here.

A big thank-you to their wonderful performance.

The Color Initiative was established

since my father founded Mingyou Group.

It has helped a lot of

talented kids like them.

But the incident happened

at the Color Gala this year

has caused great damages to our fundraiser.

After careful consideration, Mingyou Group

decided that it could no longer afford what the Initiative

promised to spend on schools across the country,

and will withdraw from the Initiative.

Therefore,

it is my personal wish that

the Initiative can go on.

That's why I decided

to host a charity show

with these kids.

I hope to raise awareness across the society. We need your help.

I will donate part of my property

to establish the Color Foundation

and I hope that you can

give the Color Initiative a second chance,

and give these kids a second chance.

Thank you.

Hello, I have a question.

Will Miss Luo Qianyi join this charity show?

No.

Then what does

Miss Huo Youxi's presence

mean at the moment?

Has Miss Luo has been taken off the list?

No.

A while ago,

Miss Luo posted pictures

of your engagement rings

and of the kids on Weibo.

Can you please explain to us

why is Miss Luo not included in the show?

It's out of personal reasons.

When will

your wedding be?

It's our own business.

Someone said that they saw

Miss Luo at the hospital and was severely injured

and that you should be responsible for that.

They even mentioned the possibility of domestic violence.

Any comment on that?

It's pure rumor.

Have you watched those videos online?

Excuse me.

Please avoid irrelevant questions.

We will not

answer questions not related to

this charity show. Thank you.

Isn't Miss Luo

the ambassador for the Color Gala?

You are the President of Mingyou Group.

Why would you want to dissociate

the Initiative from the company?

Could you give us an explanation?

Can you explain that?

Can you explain that?

Any comment on that?

Thank you. Thank you.

Please stay.

Say something. Don't go.

Please explain.

Please explain.

Don't go.

Say something.

Please explain.

Something's wrong with the video.

We can't go on.

Were they telling the truth?

Those are just rumors.

Then why do we have to hide?

Because we can't just say what we want.

It will have a negative impact on the school.

We will explain to the journalists later.

Why did you exclude Qianyi from the show?

She can't join us this time.

Is it because you hurt her?

Is that why we can't see her?

You need to trust me.

I will not trust you

until I see her.

Qianyi's gone.

I asked someone to pull this for me. Look.

She walked out on her own.

Maybe she just wanted to take a walk.

Let's all calm down.

[Don't look for me]

I am still pretty worried even with that note.

You have no idea

how important the violin is to Qianyi.

I am afraid that she might hurt herself.

I can't sit here. I need to go back to the studio.

I will check the Lavender Cafe.

Slow down.

Qianyi.

They said that you are hurt.

What's wrong?

Qianyi.

Qianyi.

Qianyi.

Qianyi, are you home?

Has Qianyi reached out to you?

Qianyi.

No.

What's wrong.

If she ever reaches out to you,

let me know at once.

Youxi.

There's no one home.

I will stay here and wait.

Alright.

They said that Youze has excluded you from the list.

And they were all asking

why you weren't there.

It was a mess.

But it's all fine now.

Let's go to the journalists

and stop them from spreading rumors.

Sheng, I can't go with you.

Why?

I'm sorry.

Xinxin.

Qianyi.

Qianyi.

You are fine.

Let's tell the journalists

that Qianyi is fine.

Actually,

I am not Luo Qianyi.

What are you talking about?

That's why I can't

answer the journalists for her.

I am sorry.

That's impossible.

I don't believe this.

Xinxin.

I saw you playing the violin at school

and I really think that you are great.

But I can't coach you,

because I don't know

how to play the violin.

You are lying.

I am sorry for lying to you.

I really am.

Qianyi.

Qianyi.

Qianyi.

Qianyi's gone.

How could she just disappear?

If you see her,

let me know at once.

Alright.

Anything new?

What's going on?

It's been a day.

Should we call the police?

The CCTV shows that

she walked out on her own.

It's not like she went missing.

Maybe she walked out

on her own

to avoid the police.

I don't believe she would do something like that.

The police are investigating it.

I don't have to lie to you.

Where can she possibly go?

She's always wanted to be the greatest violinist.

Now she's severely injured.

I am afraid that she might hurt herself.

Xiaodong.

I thought Qianyi would come here.

So I came to have a look.

Turned out she wasn't here.

I don't know where she could go.

I didn't expect that

you would come looking for her.

I think there's a connection between us.

That's why I hope everything is well with her.

Today,

why did you tell Sheng and Xinxin that

you are not Qianyi.

I don't want to pretend to be her anymore.

It's just not fair to anyone.

If they find out that

I am lying to them,

they must be really sad.

I know

how disappointed and sad

one could be after they find out they've been lied to.

It's all my fault.

I am sorry.

It's for my own good, too.

I don't want them to forget I ever exist

after I go back to Japan.

Of course you exist.

[Emergency Department]

What?

Have you got a bad hairstyle

or are you playing cool?

It's late at night and you are indoor.

Why are you wearing a hat?

I don't want to be mistaken.

It will happen anyway.

The truth

will eventually come out.

Or what else?

Are you dying your hair back to the original color?

You wrapped up your hand.

You also stay alert whenever things happen.

Are you playing her forever?

Today, I told Sheng and Xinxin

I am not Luo Qianyi.

You did the right thing.

Did I?

But,

people need Luo Qianyi to show up and explain everything.

Otherwise,

people will keep questioning the Color Initiative.

What about the kids?

You are right about that.

But,

you can't keep telling lies.

Just be nicer to yourself.

You don't have to play Luo Qianyi

and shoulder her responsibility.

Each of us is valuable in our own ways.,

Just live as you want.

Live my own life.

You keep telling me that.

All signs seem stable.

Bed No.12.

Let me see what's happened.

Meizi.

Rest assured.

The sensor fell off.

Why hasn't Qianyi come back?

What would happen to her?

I don't know.

I don't know where she could go.

Now I finally realized that

I know nothing about her.

She's not here.

How can we deal with the rumors out there?

Forget about them.

I don't care what they say about me.

Anyway,

we can't terminate the Color Initiative.

We need to go on.

If people can see what value it can bring,

I consider my mission accomplished.

Sheng,

about the rumors.

Please keep them from other students.

I am afraid it might cause a chaos

and affect other events to come.

Is she telling the truth?

That she's not Luo Qianyi?

It's true.

Her name is Song Xiaodong.

Why does she look

identical to Qianyi?

Are they twins?

No.

I can't explain this to you with just a few words.

Mr. Huo.

Miss He.

Something's wrong.

The finance staff in charge of the Initiative from Mingyou

told us that

we can't accept your money.

It's my personal property.

They don't have a say in it.

They said that

They say that the transactions haven't been settled.

If I accept your money,

it will be seen as money laundering.

It's not compliant.

They would even charge me for accepting bribery.

It's all nonsense.

Mr. Huo,

will you take charge of the Color Initiative?

Could you give me a definite answer?

Rest assured.

I will take care of it.

Youze,

maybe there is

nothing we can do.

No matter what,

we can't give up.

Miss Sun,

we all rely on you now.

I am in the middle of something.

Call you later.

Why are you here?

The board asked me to come.

They decided to nominate me as the COO.

And I would report to the board directly.

You don't get to boss me around.

COO?

What?

Does the board want you

to make this company go bankrupt?

I heard that you borrowed

ten million US dollars from Mr. Chen.

That's a lot of money.

Does Mr. Huo want to flee the country

or has he got into trouble that needs to be settled

by money?

Even if it's Uncle Chen,

it's still a pretty big move.

You can't hide this from everyone.

Of course we are happy that

someone can take over the Color Initiative.

But that someone cannot be Huo Youze.

We can't

trust him right now.

Let's make sure that we don't get

the dirty money involved.

We've already paid it back to Mr. Chen.

And that has nothing

to do with the Color Initiative.

If you don't want Youze to take over,

come up with a transition plan then.

Let the school have the money.

I do as I please.

I still remember that punch you gave me.

Bye.

What are you making for Meizi?

She can only have something light.

Got it.

Also, when you go back to Japan,

you can bring some condiments with you,

or some sauce.

I heard that it's hard to get those there.

Also,

you've probably got used to Chinese food

after such a long time here.

Can you get used to the food back there?

Alright, stop that.

I grew up there, alright?

Right.

Well,

I might not be able to get used to things here.

What does that mean?

I want to go with you.

No need.

I...

I've got a lot of days off.

I can also take a vacation there.

Also,

when I was trying to find your medical records,

I made contact with lots of hospitals there.

I need to return the favor.

Maybe we can have

one of those forums.

What do you want exactly?

I also like to collect models.

Why not go this time?

What do you think I want?

Meizi has just woken up.

I don't even know when I can leave.

Well,

before you go back,

would you consider

living a new life?

What new life?

I don't have time for that.

Alright.

Got it.

[Mr. Chen]

Apart from Mr. Li,

I haven't mentioned

us borrowing money from anyone.

Mr. Li used to take care of

your father and me.

I need to be responsible for him.

Youze,

what you've been doing lately

is pretty worrying.

Uncle Chen, I understand.

Let them talk as they want.

We have sent people to oversee this whole thing,

haven't we?

As long as you understand what's going on.

Your father started the Color Initiative

and created Mingyou's image.

He made people believe in him.

They had their eyes on the Initiative...

Uncle Chen,

I don't think

that's what my father wanted.

When he started the Initiative,

I was little.

He kept telling me that

everyone's life should be colorful.

Money and power are not everything.

I only started to realize this recently.

Among all the things he left me,

the Initiative is the most valuable one.

All these years,

it has at least proven one thing.

Qianyi and I

have done something meaningful.

I don't want everyone to think of the rumors about me

when they talk about the Initiative.

But,

you let Qianyi

be its ambassador.

It's inevitable that

people will think of it that way.

Now that something's happened to her,

the Initiative will definitely be affected.

Li will make you give it up.

Uncle Chen,

how about this?

Help us set up

a negotiation with them.

Don't be so cowardly.

You shouldn't have said that you would resign.

I really don't know what you are thinking.

Sun Lei can't handle the responsibility.

She won't last long.

Just take your place back.

Let's take the Li family down.

Isn't that better?

I can't.

Youze,

Xiaodong sent me a message.

Last night, Meizi woke up.

If we collaborate,

you should feel confident.

I understand.

Uncle Chen, thank you.

[Inpatient Department]

Has Dad woken up yet?

Not yet.

If the police come and ask me questions,

what should I say?

Just tell them the truth.

You were being threatened anyway.

Don't be afraid.

Let's quit stealing things

and start a new life, alright?

What about us?

Do you want Feng to be your dad?

Feng?

That's odd.

Seems fine to me.

Feng has been helping us a lot.

It's also the only way

for us to have a legal identity.

Just think about it.

He watched us growing up.

It seems to me

that we don't

really have another choice.

Just take this chance

and stop stealing things.

If we go back to Japan,

what about your doctor boyfriend?

What doctor boyfriend?

He's not my boyfriend.

Why do you care about him?

Don't you?

He seems nice.

He's also kind to you.

I think you should

fight for him.

Maybe he will go to Japan for you.

Talented guys like him

should be able to make money anywhere they go.

Right?

What's behind your pillow?

Don't...

What's this?

It's a physiotherapy instrument.

Physiotherapy instrument?

Here. Let me do a body check for you.

There we go.

This is the latest model.

I don't even have it. Where did you get it?

It's so boring here.

I borrowed it to have some fun.

Borrowed it, huh?

Tell me the truth.

Stop that.

Dr. Yu is really nice.

You sold me out for a game console.

Don't hit me. I am a patient.

Aren't you the rich...

Have you found Qianyi?

I think

she's trying to avoid everyone.

What about the Color Initiative?

I am working on it.

I want to establish a foundation

and let Mingyou hand over

the Initiative to the foundation

so that the kids' benefit can be protected.

But there are so many things involved.

It might take some time.

I heard that people are all gossiping

bout you and Qianyi.

Will it affect anything.

I should be responsible

for Qianyi's injuries.

I was hoping that

before I become

completely discredited,

I would use all the time I have

to settle things for the Initiative.

But now...

I don't think your mistakes

have anything to do with the Initiative.

It's not fair that people talk about

the Initiative

with other things.

I've set myself up for this

since I ran away

in that avalanche.

It's been decided.

I knew that this would happen.

That's why I've been delaying things,

hiding things,

telling lies,

and avoiding problems.

I even told myself that

I did all of that out of love

so that I could buy myself some time.

But that snowball kept getting bigger.

The avalanche will come no matter what.

I would not have known

someone like you if it weren't for that avalanche.

You are a real gentleman.

What gentleman?

Actually,

I really miss those days we spent at the school.

I was really

happy then.

It was a valuable memory.

But,

it's time to end this.

If,

if I have some more time...

Never mind.

Time to end this.

I should leave.

Are you alright?

Haven't you said that she would represent you?

What now, Youze?

You scared?

You want to establish a foundation,

and you don't want to be the director.

You even asked Li Weixin to do things for you.

Neither you nor your money

can be trusted now.

Non-public foundations must go through civil registration.

I didn't mean to cause trouble here.

A couple of days ago,

we were negotiating with a rogue.

Somehow you two

reminds me of him

Let's get down to business.

What we want is quite simple.

We need a temporary solution

that allows schools under the Initiative

to receive money as usual.

After the foundation is established,

things can be handed over to us.

In terms of finance,

we don't mind paying the money in advance.

Also, for the board meeting tomorrow,

we can vote for you

for the position you want.

Now tell us what you want.

It's not as easy as you imagine.

Huo Youze,

The share you planned to give her,

I need you to give it to my son,

unconditionally.

This is what I want.

You...

Alright.

Have you heard anything from Qianyi?

Qianyi picked up my call.

How's she?

She didn't say anything.

She left me a message,

saying that she wants to be alone.

It's better than nothing.

Youze, are you back?

Come and have something.

I am making the soup. It will be ready soon.

Just eat.

It's good.

Try the shrimp.

You two...

I really miss those days we spent at the school.

I was really

happy then.

It was also a valuable memory.

If I have some more time...

People have been

discussing online

that Huo Youze's money might be dirty.

Some say that he's got a huge amount of foreign currency

and suspect him of bribery and fleeing the country

It's probably the money he got

from the deal with Song Zhengnan.

Don't you think it's odd?

It's like the Color Initiative never existed.

Internet rumors

always center around

the onlookers' evil speculation.

Just think. The story of a rich man going down

is way more exciting.

The Color Initiative would not catch any attention.

Come.

Jump.

Careful. Careful.

Dodge.

Right. Press twice. Jump.

Thank god you are here.

Thank you for playing games with me.

I have been pretty upset

these days.

What happened?

I feel terrible every time I think of

everything my brother is going through.

It's just like a dream.

After playing games with you,

I realized that

it's all happening right now.

Is something wrong

with the Initiative?

My brother

doesn't have enough time

to save the Initiative

from Mingyou Group.

Now the company has refused

the donation from my brother.

Some schools are running out of money

but there is nothing they can do.

Why didn't they accept his donation?

It's a complex matter for the rich.

The account of any charity work

must be made public.

They said that the source

of my brother's donation is suspicious

and used the constitution as an excuse.

They think that my brother

is trying to save his reputation through the Initiative,

so they took the chance and blackmailed him

and asked for his share.

How could they do this?

My brother wanted to hand

the Initiative over to the foundation

before he turns himself in.

But now...

Do you know this person?

It's my dad.

Were you driving when the accident happened?

Why were you

in the park then?

To get the money.

What money?

That rich guy wanted to ransom Xiaodong.

And Xiaodong is that girl you mentioned

who was supposed to be in the same car?

Yes.

Your dad used her

to blackmail the rich guy?

Because Xiaodong looks identical

to the rich guy's fiancee.

Are you talking about him?

Yes, Huo Youze.

This is indeed a complex case.

But I have got enough materials to prove that

Luo Qianyi and Song Xiaodong are two different people

Got you.

But as the police,

we only believe in evidence.

It all sounds too absurd.

If the genetic tests can prove that

Song Xiaodong is Luo Qianyi,

I cannot believe your statement

that Huo Youze has done something.

Just find Song Xiaodong and Luo Qianyi.

The truth will come out when you prepare the results.

Rest assured. I will get to the bottom of it.

When can he wake up?

It's rather complicated now.

Let's talk in the office.
