[Lover or Stranger Ep21]

[Congratulations! I saw Miss Luo's post on Weibo. You two are finally getting married.]

The person in the photo is not you.

Wasn't she using my name?

Just pretend that it was me.

Can't you?

What's the point of lying to yourself like this?

It's not our memory.

But I was supposed to be there.

If I were the one by your side

for the past six months,

I could also do that, couldn't I?

Did I want to be left in Japan,

suffering like that?

What happened

to you exactly in Japan?

I still remember when I was in the snow,

feeling cold

and painful all over.

I felt I was dying.

Back then I was still worried about you.

I wondered if you had escaped in time

and if you were in danger.

Then,

I think I fell asleep.

When I woke up,

I was saved by two men.

This girl looks pretty.

How about we take her back?

Let go of me!

Help!

Help! Let me go!

Let me go!

My only hope at the moment

was for you to find me.

But you didn't.

That kind of fear

and desperation

are the memories I can't forget for my entire life.

At first, I thought you couldn't find me.

As it turned out,

you abandoned me.

Can't I

just pretend that

all these terrible things

never happened?

Qianyi.

That photo...

You saw.

It's effective.

Qianyi, you know

I am always on your side.

How about you tell me about it?

It's best if you don't know.

Don't cross the line.

Qianyi, as long as you are willing to move on,

we can work together.

You will have everything you want.

Let it go.

Alright. We're gonna be late for the rehearsal.

Song Zhengnan contacted Sun Lei.

He has Xiaodong.

Song Zhengnan.

It's gonna be tricky.

Why is Luo Qianyi working with Song Zhengnan?

Qianyi mentioned that

after the avalanche,

she was...

She was found by people with ill intentions

and was controlled by them for half a year.

I guess she met him then.

For that half a year,

what did you do?

He never stopped looking for Luo Qianyi.

For that half a year,

there were private investigators asking about what happened after the avalanche.

Maybe just like Mr. Huo said,

Luo Qianyi fell into the hands of those guys.

And they don't care about her identity.

So she had never been found.

So,

you just gave up

the thought that Luo Qianyi is alive.

Then you thought

you could just live on with Xiaodong

like this.

Right?

I've dreamed about it.

Why did Song Zhengnan kidnap Xiaodong?

Didn't he raise Xiaodong up?

Yeah.

He raised Xiaodong and Meizi up,

but I don't think

he can be called a father.

He was controlling Xiaodong and Meizi,

asking them to steal money for him.

I caught these two

young girls several times.

But no matter what,

they wouldn't testify against Song Zhengnan.

If they were sent to an orphanage,

they'd still sneak out and go back.

The fear and submission

over more than a decade

made them develop

a strange sense of dependency.

But we don't have to be discouraged.

One is a thief and one is a violinist.

Their alliance won't be strong.

Right.

Just a reminder.

About all things that happened,

don't expect that

you can get away with everything.

Then how about Qianyi?

The law judges a person

by looking at what he or she actually did.

Don't think about it too much for now.

Now, getting Xiaodong out is our priority.

Don't run!

Stop there!

Dad, run!

Don't run!

Dad, don't kill me.

Dad.

Dad.

Dad, you're back.

The food is ready. Let's eat.

Okay.

Meizi, time to eat.

Alright.

Dig in.

Dig in.

Great.

This fish is good.

This is the only one left. I begged the owner for it.

My daughter is the best.

Dad.

I was on the street today.

I saw there was a fight at Sanjo's place again.

I think it's because a sidekick

was taking private bookings behind his boss.

so he got beat up.

Was that bad?

Quite bad.

I think he was sent to the emergency room.

I guess he probably died.

Sanjo's whole group should get beat up.

But I don't know what's wrong with the boss.

Maybe he's getting old.

He is losing control of his underlings.

Mind your mouth.

They might destroy our whole family.

Cut it out.

Dad.

I learned a new trick today.

Look.

How dexterous!

If I had known it earlier,

I'd get you a piano when you were a kid.

Piano?

That's so boring. I don't want it.

I want it.

You won't be able to learn it.

Alright, just eat.

Xiaodong, head to the mountain with me for work later.

Someone is after this money.

If something happens to me,

move it elsewhere at once.

I got it.

Of my two daughters,

you are more like me cuz you're wicked enough.

Apart from you,

there is no one I can trust.

Here.

Wear it like this.

Just like this.

Let me help you.

It's so cold.

For some people,

they can be sitting pretty

with just their faces.

You can't be her no matter how long you stare at it.

I will find a guy and sell this passport.

It should be worth a lot.

I'm going out for some business.

It's so cold out there.

Stay here.

Don't go out.

Be careful.

Why isn't he back yet?

Oh no, it's too cold.

I don't think that old man can take it anymore.

He always gives me trouble.

Where is the money? Give it to me now!

How dare you steal Sanjo's money?

I took it. So what?

So what? How dare you say that?

You also got your money

by stealing from others.

Why so arrogant?

Do you want to die?

If our boss finds out,

he will feed your whole family to the sharks!

Tell your boss,

if he doesn't want me to report it,

give me at least half the money.

Who gave you the nerve?

As long as you disappear here,

they will think you took the money.

Nobody will know it's me.

If you dare to kill me...

Dad.

I...

The weather is getting worse.

I was worried about you.

The damn weather.

There's about to be a snowstorm.

People won't be able to find his dead body.

Dad.

Rest assured.

I won't tell anyone about it.

I believe in you.

Let's go back.

Let's go.

Dad.

Please.

Don't kill me.

I won't allow it.

I won't break up with you.

I can put up with anything.

We can even have a fresh start.

Let go of me!

Why are you doing this to me?

Why?

Let go of me!

Qianyi!

Soundcheck for the bass.

Soundcheck for the cello.

Soundcheck for the viola.

You are in the middle.

Let me hear it just a bit.

Can you tell me

who Qianyi has contacted

and where she has been recently?

I don't know.

All of the things were mainly my fault.

I will shoulder the consequences.

But now I can't leave Xiaodong to rot.

I really don't know who she has contacted.

Qianyi has broken the law.

She is involved in a kidnapping!

Try to remember.

I have a lead.

What?

Qianyi booked a hotel room.

How did you know?

I used to book hotel rooms for her.

I received a text yesterday.

A new order was sent to my phone.

Huo Youze.

She is different from us.

She wouldn't do such things in the past.

It's my fault.

I am the reason why she changed.

Also because I let her.

If I hadn't promised her to get back to you in the beginning,

things wouldn't turn out like this.

This is for Qianyi.

Thanks.

[Hengyue Business Hotel]

Feng?

Why is he here?

Is this the place?

This is it.

You have to be careful.

Song Zhengnan is very cautious.

Maybe he is watching us now.

We have to think of a way to go upstairs.

Hello.

Here is a parcel for Room 313.

But the recipient didn't answer his phone.

Could you call his room and check?

Sorry, no one answered.

How about you just go upstairs?

Thank you.

Room service.

People downstairs complained about a water leakage here.

Can I come in and take a look?

There is no leakage here. Don't come in.

Meizi? Are you Meizi?

It's me.

I am Feng.

Meizi.

Is Xiaodong in there?

Why do you ask?

Meizi, do you know where Xiaodong is?

But Xiaodong is supposed to be...

Meizi. Meizi, listen to me.

Xiaodong is still alive.

Song Zhengnan kidnapped her.

If you know anything about it,

you must tell me.

How could this be?

Meizi.

I watched you grow up.

Trust me.

Xiaodong is still alive.

Meizi.

Meizi, trust me.

Dad walked across the street.

Across the street?

Do you know where he was heading exactly?

I don't know.

Meizi, come with me.

I can help you.

My dad will kill me.

Meizi.

Meizi.

You must leave here as soon as possible.

If you need help,

go find Yu Hang.

Understood?

How was it?

Xiaodong is not in there?

But we have a lead.

Meizi told me

Song Zhengnan was walking in that direction.

He shouldn't have gone too far.

Look.

I think it's here.

Let me see.

This is an abandoned shopping mall.

I think they are there.

An abandoned shopping mall?

It's...

It's such as broad search.

Mozart.

Mozart?

How was I?

As good as before.

If I had always been practicing,

I should be better than before.

Qianyi.

Huo Youze came to see me.

About Song Xiaodong,

what did you do to her?

I can't believe he told you.

I hope you can give it up now while you can.

Impossible.

Qianyi.

The hotel room you booked has exposed your plan.

They probably have found Song Xiaodong now.

Qianyi, you are not like this.

Stop making mistakes.

Tell me, where is Song Xiaodong?

If Huo Youze can get Song Xiaodong back,

maybe there's still room to negotiate.

It has nothing to do with you.

In this case,

I may not be able to help you anymore.

Maybe it's better.

Mr. Chen.

I have received the money. Thank you.

I will give you an explanation later.

No need to explain it to me.

It's better if I know nothing.

I didn't lend you this money for nothing.

The Color Initiative was terrible enough.

If Huo Youze gets into another trouble,

even I won't be able to help him.

Rest assured.

It's just in case.

I won't allow any accident to happen.

You'd better be.

I will take Mozart from here.

Come on, Mozart. Get in here.

Come up here.

Brother, where are you taking Mozart?

I'll explain it to you later.

Mozart.

Xiaodong was taken by a bad guy.

You are the only one to help us now.

Okay? Good boy.

You know

how she smells like.

Smell it.

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Dad.

Feng showed up.

Feng?

He was here looking for Xiaodong.

He told me Xiaodong is alive.

Where did he find you?

Dad, why did he...

Didn't I tell you...

Why did he say Xiaodong is alive?

Damn it.

Feng was lying to you.

Leave there now. Throw your phone away.

Find me the old way.

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Qianyi.

Are you looking for Song Xiaodong?

Tell me, where is Xiaodong?

Where did you hide her?

If I can find her,

maybe I can help you.

I will talk to Xiaodong.

I will be responsible for everything.

Why can you go this far for her?

You've only known her for less than a year.

The most important thing right now

is for Xiaodong to return safely.

Tell you what,

if I can,

I will make her disappear forever.

Stop making any mistakes.

Tell me where exactly Xiaodong is.

If she can be back,

maybe we can still make things right.

She is just a thief!

She stole everything from me.

Do you really know who she is?

She used my face and my identity,

and stole you from me!

I won't let her walk away with it.

Qianyi!

Song Zhengnan. Where is Xiaodong?

We meet again, Mr. Huo.

For Xiaodong,

you have gone through a lot of trouble.

Why don't you just kidnap me?

Swap Xiaodong for me.

You'll surely get what you asked for.

If I take you away,

the police would come.

I took my daughter away,

so you wouldn't call the police.

After all, it's not worth

risking your reputation and status.

I have agreed to your terms.

Why didn't you respond?

Your fiancee Miss Luo

is kind of like my partner.

It's her who wants Xiaodong gone.

I don't want to get ugly with her.

But Mr. Huo,

if you give me a good amount of money,

I can change the terms.

But remember,

don't come empty-handed next time.

Don't think that I won't hurt Xiaodong.

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Huo Youze!

Step back.

Step back!

Xiaodong!

Huo Youze!

Huo Youze!

What happened?

I saw Song Zhengnan.

There is a window!

Quick!

Is there any lead?

Come on, hurry!

Xiaodong!

Quick!

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

Xiaodong!

What's the matter?

He is long gone with Xiaodong.

Meizi.

I need to go back and check.

I'll come with you.

No need. Go home first.

I just asked Meizi to find you.

If she didn't,

we can meet then.

Okay.

Mozart.

Are you also worried about her?

Your fiancee, Miss Luo,

is kind of like my partner.

It's her who wants Xiaodong gone.

I don't want things to get too ugly.

Did you inform Song Zhengnan?

What do you mean?

Xiaodong was taken elsewhere in advance.

Did you tip him off?

So what if I did?

Tell me where Song Zhengnan is.

Do you think I'll let Song Xiaodong come back?
