Once Given Never Forgotten Ep10

Did you prepare all of this?

How do you like it?

It's nice, right? Isn't it romantic?

You know what,

I got these flowers

from the florist as a reward

for my outstanding performance today.

And there are also balloons.

The carbon dioxide in all of them

is made of happiness and joy.

I also prepared these dishes.

As for this dish, I, myself...

...went to the restaurant outside our place to buy.

Isn't it the cake from Iscapa Bakery?

It's reputed as the oldest

cake shop in Barcelona.

I've been craving for it for a long time. How did you know?

Every time you walk by it,

you seem like you can stay there forever.

Of course, I know you like it.

Don't exaggerate it.

Cheers!

Eat something before drinking.

Otherwise, your stomach will get upset.

All right, I know.

Always nagging me.

By the way...

Did you buy it with the money you earned from your part-time job?

I bought it for you the day you went to the interview.

Now, you are a draftsman.

How can you not have a nice pen?

Don't rush to give me a lecture.

Do you like it?

Yeah, I love it.

You are too polite.

This is a reward for you.

Apart from that...

There is more?

This is a task for you.

About this book,

it's a Spanish-Chinese dictionary.

This is a Spanish visual dictionary with different subjects.

In this dictionary,

there happens to be a chapter about architectural engineering.

This is also a dictionary.

There are two more books.

They are magazines about architectural engineering.

I wish they can help with your work.

You need to finish the task I gave you.

You didn't spend all of your allowances, did you?

Why the long face?

It was an investment.

I hope you can work harder,

so you can improve my life in the future.

You are always the smartest.

Now you have even made future plans for me.

You are welcome.

I learned from the best teacher, you.

Let's eat.

Do you like it?

It isn't from the restaurant downstairs, is it?

What's wrong?

Doesn't it taste even better than before?

It's delicious.

Cheers.

You open the door.

How dare you just owe me the rent and slam the door?

Go pack your things and get out of here tomorrow!

Sorry, it's not the right time for you to come in.

It's not a good time.

All right, I won't get in.

But you have to get out and pay me the rent.

Would you please give us more time?

Do you have the money or not?

If you don't, then get out.

Tomorrow, tomorrow we will give you the check.

Okay?

Then, tomorrow?

Tomorrow, tomorrow.

He's gone?

Get out tomorrow

if you don't pay me.

So unreasonable!

This is outrageous!

It was such a perfect night.

And it got ruined just like that.

Had I known, I wouldn't have bought all the books.

Had I known, I wouldn't have spent all the money

I made in the bar, either

So, what do we do now?

He only gave us one day.

We couldn't even pull the original amount of money together and he raised the rent.

Maybe I can search for

some markets where we can sell our organs.

Maybe I can go sell a kidney.

Just take my heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidney.

Maybe I can go to sell some blood.

I was just joking.

Don't you actually think about it!

You are so bad. You tricked me.

I thought you were lying

when you told the landlord that you had the money.

But you actually have the money.

Who do you think I am?

Will I spend all the money I have earned?

It's all deposited in the bank.

From today,

you are having a three-month trial

as the assistant of our president.

Assistant?

Send these files

to David at Verdi Building Site by 10.

Sort these documents by 2.

We need them for the meeting.

By the way,

the cleaners are taking the day off.

Go clean the meeting room up first.

I am sorry.

Could you please repeat it?

I need to take some notes.

You are wasting my time.

I won't repeat it.

If you can't memorize everything I just said,

I do doubt if you are capable enough

to do this job.

She asked you to clean up the meeting room first.

And before 10,

send the files on the left to Verdi Street

for David.

Before 2 this afternoon,

sort the documents for the meeting on the right.

Sure, thank you.

As for this,

give it to Paisley after the meeting.

It's super important.

I know Paisley.

Thank you.

So, do you have time now?

Yeah.

I suppose?

Okay. You must do now that you hesitated.

Go downstairs, turn right, and walk for 500 meters. There is a cafe.

Go get me two cups of Americano.

One for Paisley with no sugar.

One for me with two bags of sugar

Mark them, so you won't mix them up.

Leave them on my table.

All right.

Paisley, no sugar.

Auntie, Auntie.

Please don't.

Auntie.

I don't think this is okay, Auntie.

Did he make it in Spain?

No.

Did he find a high-paying job?

I don't think so.

Then, he must have got married and built a family there.

I'm sure he hasn't.

Then, why is he still there?

To take care of the little girl in that picture.

Xiang Yuqiu is a man with a strong sense of responsibility.

You like Yuqiu?

Auntie.

Little girl, don't be shy.

Don't worry. I know my son.

I like you.

You got it.

Really, Auntie?

Hello?

What? My mom is back?

When did she go back?

Why are you still sitting here?

Paisley got back a long while ago.

Where are the blueprints for the meeting?

Do you mean these?

Yes.

And these, too.

Hello,

I need to go now.

Sure, I will think of a solution.

Bye-bye.

You made private phone calls during work hours.

If you do it again, you will get more than a warning.

I am so sorry.

Get out of here!

You can go to send the drafts.

Come in.

Hello, boss.

I am your new assistant.

My name is Xiang Yuqiu.

This is the final draft sent by the Designer Department.

Please have a look.

It's you!

Don't you know it's very impolite

to stare at others?

I'm sorry but you were mistaken.

I was staring at the table.

The table...

It's very special.

I know.

Last time you saw me,

you said that no one would buy my drawings.

But you bought the table designed by me.

Hello,

do you like the table?

Size: 900*700*720, Designed by Xiang Yuqiu, Main material: Teak.

I have never heard of this designer.

He is a friend of mine.

He is a very young designer

and very talented.

We'll buy this table.

You want to buy it?

Yeah.

Life is full of ironies.

See,

you turned down my offer before.

But now, you are still standing in my office.

This is not from the Design Department.

I am sorry.

I drew it myself.

What?

Are you not satisfied with the job arrangement?

Do you not want to be my assistant?

Yes, I want.

It's just...

...I saw some flaws in the design drawing,

so I made some adjustments myself.

Architectural design is different from furniture design.

Take all of these back to the designer.

You just found some flaws in his design.

How dare he want to finalize it?

All right.

Take your design drawing to him as well.

Sure.

Well...

Do you have anything?

I just want to ask about

when I can get my proof of employment.

You are still in the trial period.

But my visa is about to expire.

That is not my issue.

Boss,

then may I take some days off to go back home for several days?

Xiang Yuqiu,

don't think that because of what happened before,

you can just do anything you want.

My visa is truly

important for me.

If you don't think it's appropriate,

it's all right if you fire me.

Emma.

Paisley.

You asked for leave next Monday?

Yes, I did.

My dog is ill.

I need to take it to the doctor.

Then, bring my travel plan

forward by a week.

Xiang Yuqiu will go back to China on Monday with me.

Thank you, boss.

Don't thank me for it.

Emma will hand the documents over to you.

Take a careful look before we leave.

If anything goes wrong in China,

you won't need to come back with me.

Sure, no problem.

Emma, one second.

Don't think that I don't know

your dog is only an excuse.

If it happens again,

you will need to choose

between the job and your boyfriend.

Clean up the floor.

Why is Xiang Yuqiu back?

Xiang Yuqiu

I am almost home.

I am almost home.

I am almost home. I wanted to buy you some night snacks,

I wanted to buy you some night snacks,

I am almost home. I wanted to buy you some night snacks, but you didn't pick up my call. Guess someone is not lucky today.

but you didn't pick up my call.

Guess someone is not lucky today.

Burglar!

My turquoise! Don't you run!

Get back here!

Give me my turquoise back!

Don't you run!

You burglar! Don't run!

You burglar!

Stop!

Are you all right?

I'm fine.

What's with your head?

Nothing.

I'll go after him.

You won't be able to catch him.

Haven't I told you

to protect yourself first when you meet anything?

Let's go back now.

If I see him again,

I will beat him up for sure.

Don't be absurd.

Be more careful.

How can I do that?

He even broke into my house.

If I don't do something,

the neighbor will laugh at me.

There is nothing valuable

to steal here.

You are the most valuable thing.

This is much more valuable than me.

I only took it off once

when I went to shower tonight.

Who would expect that it was targeted by the burglar?

If it's lost,

I can just get you a new one.

It won't be the same one.

This is the first gift you gave me.

I will go back to Shanghai a few days later for business.

Go back with me.

No, I won't.

I will be worried about you if you are here alone.

When you go,

I will change the lock to a burglar-proof padlock

and make sure the windows are closed.

Don't worry.

But...

No more but.

You are going there for work.

You can't take me everywhere you go.

All right.

But you need to promise me

you will put your safety first.

Don't act so recklessly.

Now go to bed.

Go.

All right. Always nagging me.

All right. Go to bed now.

Hello?

What perfect timing.

A burglar just left,

and then your phone call came in.

What? A burglar?

Is it a burglary?

Are you all right?

Don't be so dramatic.

I mean, where do you live exactly?

How about Lianxin?

She is fine.

She just got hit in the head.

She still tried to catch the burglar

regardless of the wound on her head.

She is still the chivalrous

little girl who hates evil I know.

I plan to move to another place

after a while.

I don't want this to happen to Lianxin again.

Tell me if you need anything.

I'll give you my moral support.

Hello?

Lianxin, I left for the business trip.

Don't worry about me.

Luo Rui

Hello?

I will go to Spain to see you a few days later.

Auntie, Auntie.

He is back! Back!

Stop eating. Stop.

And these. Here.

All cleared.

Auntie.

Why didn't you tell me that you are back?

My son,

this is also my home.

I am so ill like this.

Where else can I go?

What exactly happened to you?

I am ill.

Seriously ill.

I have a terrible headache.

I feel discomfort everywhere.

If it weren't...

If it weren't for Tang Shi who took care of me,

I'm afraid you wouldn't have been able to see me now.

Thank you for taking care of my mother these days.

Thank you.

You are welcome. I'm glad to help.

Did you see a doctor?

The doctor asked me to stay in hospital.

But I don't want to.

If I get hospitalized,

I won't be able to get out again.

If I can't get out,

how can I see my son?

Tang Shi,

what disease does my mother have?

-Pneumonia. -Fever.

Yeah.

In fact, the doctor said that

it's pneumonia caused by a fever.

If I hadn't got treated,

I might not...

I might not have been able to see you now.

This is mine.

Yours?

How long have I known you?

Only she drinks this kind of spirit.

Who are you kidding?

All right.

Why did you yell at her?

Besides,

if I didn't pretend to be ill,

would you have come back?

I only came back on a business trip.

Did you find a job?

Let me ask you.

What is with this girl?

I think you have lost your mind.

You went to Spain with that little girl.

You just won't make it easy on me.

Make it easy on you?

Have you ever made it easy on me?

This is mine.

Don't touch my stuff.

This is my home.

All right.

This is your home.

I'll go.

Xiang Yuqiu.

I won't let you.

Now that you are back,

I won't let you go.

You won't let me go?

You have never taken care of me since I was little.

Who are you to say that?

After all, I am your mother.

What is Lianxin to you?

At least, Lianxin is a family

who keeps me company.

All right, if you want a family,

Tang Shi is also good.

She is pretty and polite.

And she is so devoted to you.

Auntie...

Nothing to be embarrassed about.

I can call the shots.

You can call the shots?

Don't you think it's absurd for you to say that?

Xiang Yuqiu,

don't talk to your mother like that. You...

You know nothing about it.

You'd better stay out of our business.

Yuqiu,

well, I...

This is the money I took from you last time.

Here, take it back.

Take it.

Please don't go.

Stay here with me, will you?

Gu Yang,

you haven't changed a bit after all these years.

You just love to

put a price on everything.

I know I was wrong before.

But...

But I can't let you take the wrong path now.

I can't just sit and let you do it.

I wish you can stay.

Stay here.

Stay here and then...

...you are going to let me

watch you leave me again, aren't you?

When you and my father got divorced,

you said the same thing.

You said that you would never leave me.

But look at us now.

How are you going to make me trust you?

This is the gift Lianxin prepared for you.

Yuqiu.

He is just like his father.

Every time I see him,

it reminds me of his father

and those terrible memories.

Auntie,

don't be too upset.

I believe that

he still cares about you in his mind.

Now,

he has been totally charmed by that little girl.

I can tell that

this girl, Lianxin,

has had even more effects on him than Luo Ting.

It's true that he has become very stubborn now.

Auntie,

I have never seen him

losing his temper like that.

I don't think he will ever talk to me again.

Of course, he will.

I know my son.

Men need time to foster their feelings for a woman.

I remember

when he was little,

I often held him in my arms

and enjoyed the sunshine in this yard.

At that time,

the yard was full of camellia flowers.

He would lie in my arms

and giggle all the time.

I suppose

for him,

that period of time

was his best memory about happiness.

It's such a pity.

It's such a pity that now

the two of us

can't even have a proper talk with each other.

What on earth happened to you?

Xiang Yuqiu is back.

I know. He came to me a few days ago.

No wonder you were so happy.

Did he say anything to you?

He just came to see if I was doing fine.

To see if I was still handsome and dashing

with girls chasing after me.

You are drunk. Let me take you home.

I'll take you home.

What home? I don't have a home.

Chen Qi, I really don't get it.

What's so terrible about me?

Why doesn't he like me?

Why does he still want to go back?

It's just because Lianxin is an orphan,

so it is natural for her

to get everyone's care and love, right?

But I am also an orphan.

Why can't I get it?

I thought you

grew up in a very nice family.

What nice family?

I don't even know where

my real parents are.

Since I was adopted,

I have been working so hard.

I have been trying to become a better person.

I think I can rely on myself

to live a better life.

You have already achieved that.

If you ever need...

I don't need other things.

Chen Qi,

I only need Xiang Yuqiu.

Do you get it?

Sure.

Let's go.

I'll take you home.

I bought this for him.

But I am not sure of it at all.

The number you dialed doesn't respond.

Pick up my call.

Luo Rui.

So boring.

You even recognized me like this.

I miss you so much.

I knew that you must be lonely

being here alone.

So, I couldn't wait to come here to accompany you.

I am not alone here.

You are not alone?

Then, who else is here?

Did Xiang Yuqiu come here as well?

What is he doing here?

Begging for money?

Luo Rui,

say it again and I'll be mad at you.

All right, I won't say it again.

Of course, there is another handsome guy.

The son of our landlord.

He is mixed-blood and very handsome.

I can introduce him to you.

What?

A handsome mixed-blood guy?

You are not attracted to him, are you?

You! What are you thinking?

He is the first friend I made after I came here.

You messed up my hair.

Don't move.

You look better with messy hair.

Let me take a picture.

Don't move, don't.

Don't, don't take pictures.

Don't, just stay this way.

Sir, I got here safe and sound.

Sir, I got here safe and sound.

Why didn't your parents come here with you?

They are not feeling well,

so they are away to recuperate.

Lianxin,

why wouldn't you use

the allowance my parents gave you?

I don't want you to live a hard life here.

Because I don't find it hard.

I appreciate Aunt and Auntie for giving me a home

and so many other things.

But I have decided that

after I turned 18,

I must earn my own living.

It actually feels quite nice.

Lianxin,

do you have anyone you like?

No.

Then, you must have thought about

what kind of boyfriend you want.

He must be mature and steady.

He doesn't need to be so romantic,

but he should be reliable.

Where are you going?

You know what?

In fact,

though your parents sent me to learn to dance,

I never actually liked it.

But after such a long time,

I have got used to it.

And when I feel blue,

it's actually nice to dance for a while.

Lianxin,

you can choose the life you like now.

You don't need to be hard on yourself.

You are right.

Since I came to Spain,

I have already planned my future.

I want to do what I like to do.

This way, please.

Miss. Jiang.

Please be seated.

As for the overall plan

of the maintenance and repair of the ancient town,

on the basis of our discussion before,

we have added some innovative ideas of our designer.

If you have any questions

or opinions,

please feel free to bring them forward.

As for the plan,

we have talked about it with our client.

Heritage experts

spoke highly of the way

you preserve the antiques.

So, for the next step,

we will stick to the contract strictly.

Thank you.

As long as our client is satisfied,

it is worth all the hard work.

But this plan

can yield such a good result so soon

thanks to Mr. Xiang's participation.

As for the details,

Mr. Xiang will be in charge of the discussion.

Of course.

Xiang Yuqiu.

Call me when you are done here.

See you later, Miss. Jiang.

Yesterday...

I am sorry.

Gu Yang caused you a lot of trouble.

And I said those hurtful things to you.

I need to apologize.

No, you don't need to.

It was my fault.

I shouldn't have helped her lie to you.

This is a gift for you.

Don't be mad at me.

I am not mad at you.

I can't take your gift.

No, I insist.

It means you are mad at me if you don't take this.

I wanted to ask you out for a meal

and give this to you in person.

But now that we just bumped into each other today...

Anyway, it seems

your life in Spain was quite nice.

I really like my job now.

Don't you want to open it?

See if you like it.

What's wrong?

You don't like it?

It must be Gu Yang who told you that I like camellias.

Do you know what camellia flowers mean?

When I was little,

I sent Gu Yang the same perfume.

She then told me that

camellia flowers represent families.

But now,

she has even forgotten what she said before.

She thought I like camellias.

Why did I say this to you?

It's my family business.

You won't be able to understand it.

Thank you for the gift.

In fact, the dishes in this restaurant

are quite authentic.

It's century-old.

It's famous for its history.

Have you sorted your things out?

What things?

Miss Tang.

We are just friends.

She is so devoted to you.

It's all over her face.

I could tell it at first sight.

I don't have time for a relationship right now.

Sometimes, a relationship

is a motivation that keeps you working hard.

I haven't been back for a long time.

Walk with me.

Sure.

By the way,

didn't you say that you have something urgent at home?

Have you dealt with it?

Can you tell me about it?

It's nothing serious.

My mother pretended to be sick to trick me to come back.

That is quite adorable.

Adorable?

I'd appreciate it if she doesn't cause me any trouble.

You still care a lot about your mother.

Otherwise, you wouldn't have come back

by any means when you heard that she was ill.

Paisley.

I want to say sorry to you.

Because of me,

you have even changed your schedule.

It was not entirely because of you.

I had wanted to move it

forward before you mentioned it.

Many years ago, on this very day,

I left Shanghai and went abroad.

I have been working hard till today.

Now, you have got back with fame and wealth.

It's a good thing.

I also thought that I'd feel different.

I thought I would feel proud and elated,

or get emotional because of

how things and people have changed.

Maybe it's because I have grown older now.

I can't shed any tears

even if I want to.

It means that your choice of

leaving was not a bad one.

No.

If I had known that

I would lose someone that important,

I wouldn't have chosen to leave here.

Still, I can't stay in Shanghai

for too long.

If I stay here for too long,

I will feel so lost and confused.

It reminds me of

so many unhappy memories.

Book me a ticket for tomorrow.

Hyacinth Orphanage

It looks nice.

What is it?

The sun?

Gold.

Gold?

Then, I'll draw a man.

What did you say?

A man.

A man. A man searching for gold.

Who are you drawing?

Mr. Chen.

Mr. Chen.

Then, you need to add a book to it.

Draw a book here.

Let's draw a book. Look.

You can finish it yourself.

Who are you drawing?

It's you.

It's me?

What about the other one?

That's Mr. Chen's girlfriend.

How can my girlfriend have such a hairstyle?

My girlfriend should be a beauty

with long hair.

Here, let me add something for you.

Look at this.

You draw it like this.

Like this.

This looks more like her.

A handsome Chinese boy.

Do you know him?
